Had lunch here today for first time as the pub up the road we planned to eat was temporarily closed. We were a bit wary of the 2 mains for £9 as it seemed too good to be true or that what we received would be poor quality and tiny portions. We were wrong on both counts. I had gammon, egg and chips and my guest had sausage, mash and peas. Big portions and very tasty. Along with a couple of pints of Thatcher’s Gold and great service from the bar staff it was a perfect lunch and will be back. Highly recommended.

Last Saturday night 9th April we were driving home to wells & my friend had a medical emergency diabetic hypo all her reserves had gone , the Tesco garage had shut next door & we had another 30 minutes drive and no where was open ,Quick thinking I stopped at the pub it was just closing & explained our situation and a lovely member of staff kindly brought us out a chocolate pudding and saved the day! We were extremely grateful as they saved us a hospital trip, thankyou and she said the pudding was lovely! Very friendly staff, we will certainly be popping back for a meal to have some food without the medical emergency!

Louise is the best member of staff there she is really great and gets everything right. She works really hard and goes above and beyond for everyone. Luke is also a great manager and works really hard too!!

Came here for a meal out with my two sons. The food and service was fantastic. Food was amazing and they have the best prices in the area for drinks! Lots of deals on. I used to avoid this place years ago but the new management has made the place really family friendly and top notch. Staff are all really friendly, I could not fault any of them. Despite them quite clearly being short staffed, we were looked after very well. I will most certainly be back again with the rest of my family!

Nice food and drink. But very disappointed that no one enforced the new rules regarding the wearing of face coverings which is a MUST FROM 04.00 THIS MORNING. NO STAFF WORE ANY AND HARDLY ANY PATRONS DID EITHER WHICH MADE MY WIFE AND I FEEL VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. WILL NOT BE VISITING AGAIN.

I went in last night to watch the england Scotland football match and i can honestly say i was very impressed. The atmosphere was great through the who pub and it was very reassuring to see social distancing restrictions being done correctly! As for the staff they were all amazing with Luke taking the time to help me set up the app and show me how to use it so I could use the order at the table function then every drink brought to the table very quickly and with great customer service by the two ladies! I would highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!

Excellent and safe are probably two words you would not expect to see in a review of a pub!? However in this case it is richly deserved. BC (before covid 😉) this was a nice place to go with always a great atmosphere to go right along with the great food. Sorry don't drink can't comment on that bit. During covid and now they are blindingly good. Even when short staffed - probably down to ping gate, they crack on with a smile and their ever helpful attitudes. I do not drink and I stand by saving our pubs I do not take lightly going out with my family in these exceptional times. This is a safe place to enjoy time with those special people in your life. A good check-in to dine but didn't explain about clearing your own table. Well distanced from other diners. Food all available and was delivered promptly. Cooked alright just a couple of chewy bits in the steak. A good burger and excellent chips. The place itself is ok but the food was well worth the money.

A really nice pub. Friendly service with a good selection of food. Clean and plenty of room. On the bus route. This is the first time I have visited (although my Mum and Dad and their friends used to come here all the time) and I'm impressed! Might try the sticky toffee pudding in a minute...

Where do I start. The place has completely turned around since the new manager Luke has taken over. His team are nothing but hard working. The food is always amazing and the service is just fantastic.The atmosphere is lovely with the restaurant side always clean and cosy and inviting and the bar side always with sports on the telly. All of the team members always go the extra mile to help out their customers. They are always smiley and bubbly and always up for a chat which just makes you feel so welcome. If I could give this pub 10 stars I would. Well done to Luke and his team. They are what makes the pub so brilliant.

I went there with the whole family for a meal and was pleasantly surprised. When we walked in we were welcomed by one of the lovely bar staff. When we went to get drinks, the selection was so big i had to take some time decide and then was stunned when seeing how cheep it is. The food was absolutely devine and again dirt cheap. The service that we were provided was like we were regulars but in actual fact it was our first visit. I would highly recommend this pub for a family meal.

Before the new management and the refurb this is somewhere that we would avoid but now we can't get enough of the place. The staff are exceptional providing brilliant service and the environment is brilliant with the bar for a drink & laughs and then the restaurant side for families & food great idea. The food outstanding now too, Wednesday diner time was busy yet the food was still outstanding and there was no wait for it! I recommend this to everyone now and if you are in the area then this is a must visit.

Came in to a young lady greeted me on the host point felt very welcomed from the start, took to the table told we can order from the sizzling app, order some starters and they tasted amazing then moved on the mains and had the lemon peri skewers they came out with in 10 mins, very tender and spicy, got some drinks from the app as well came very quickly better then waiting in line

The pub was clean and welcoming unfortunately our meal was a real let down, perhaps they are good at other items from the menu but the steak we had was so chewy it became a choking hazard, and certainly wasn't cooked to order "medium" we requested. The price was nice and low but it isn't an excuse for just how bad the steak was.
