A fantastic burger, I ordered the oriel which came with 2 delicious beef patties and beef brisket on top, it was fantastic! The Betty fries were also delicious. The service was brilliant and the staff were very helpful. Although, the facilities are located in the bar area and I felt uncomfortable using the facilities whilst staff were talking just outside in the bar area. That's the only reason I'm awarding it a 4 star, the food was amazing!

FOOD 4/5
Nice selection of burgers with almost everything on the menu available as vegan or gluten free!
Our burgers were all very tasty but we were slightly disappointed with the buns and felt they were a bit claggy.
Their chicken burger was excellent and I can recommend the hot wings as well!
We brought our dog with us and she got a free burger patty which was very kind, she loved it!
SERVICE 5/5
Very friendly polite staff who were very attentive.
ATMOSPHERE 4/5
Nice and clean with a nice vibe but the restaurant was freezing cold! We were also sat by the front door which doesn't close properly and lots of people would leave it open as they were coming and going. Was a bit of a pain when you have to keep getting up to close the door because of the draught!
VALUE FOR MONEY 4/5
We paid £90 for four burgers, two loaded fries and some wings as well as 4 soft drinks. I felt this was pretty good value but just over £20 per person for burgers and fries might be considered steep for some people. I am happy to pay as all the ingredients are locally sourced and you can taste the quality!
OVERALL
I would definitely come back. Would love to try their vegan patty as well as a couple of other things on the menu. There's lots of free on street parking around Victoria park which makes it easy to visit. I'm also always more likely to go somewhere if I can bring my pup with me! (Especially if she gets a free lunch)🍔

Really impressed by the whole package at Ansh, they really are true to their word!
Fantastic quality meat in the burgers, the pillowy soft potato bun, sublime sauce and sharp cheddar cheese.
I also had the Christmas sglods with gravy, Yorkshire pudding bits and other festive trim!
So happy that i made this my Sunday lunch ❤️

Best burgers in Wales by a mile. Excellent quality meat, served in delicious potato buns. The mutton and Chicken burgers are incredible too.
Chicken wings for starters and ice cream macaron for dessert will make you incredibly happy.
The staff are fantastic and really friendly, drinks wise they have some good local beers and decent wine.
Can't recommend this place enough

Came here after being recommended it by a friend.
The staff are all really very friendly. Service was very quick. I've got zero complaints there.
The food was good. They've got a good choice of burgers, and there's bound to be something everybody will like. I wouldn't say it's my favourite burger I've had in Cardiff, but it's certainly top 5. The fries were adequate to say the most. They were hardly different to throwing some supermarket own brand fries into a fryer at home.
What I didn't like is the price, and how the food is served. Rather than being served on a plate, you get your burger and sides in plastic containers. It gives it a more takeaway/burger van feel rather than a sit down restaurant. It's also just wasteful. Give it to me on a plate and save the plastic.
The price is the main sticking for me however. It's the sort of burger places that makes you pay extra for fries. I hate that. 95% of people ordering a burger was fries as well, just include it in the price of the burger. All in all this made the cost of the meal £15. That's very expensive for a burger that hardly knocked my socks off.
Conclusion: Good burger. Friendly staff. But overpriced and considering the competition in Cardiff, it's not really justifiable.

We came here tonight and we're very impressed. The burgers were delicious and potentially the best we have had in the UK. We really enjoyed the service as well. My husband and I have just relocated here and he hadn't heard Welsh spoken before. The serving staff were very friendly and encouraging him too when he was saying his odd words which added to the fun of the experience. Thank you and we will be back soon!

Simply put, the best burgers I've eaten in Cardiff. The dine in menu has a good range of sides (sweet potato fries are a personal favourite). Overall friendly service, and a fair price for such delicious food. However, a delivery hadn't arrived when I went, so several items on the menu were unavailable which was a little disappointing. I'm looking forward to going back when the menu is fully available.

This was the best burger my son and I had ever eaten ( both had oriel jones) it was absolutely delicious. Wanted to order the oriel Jones chips as well bit don't do them on takeaway was a little disappointed with this but glad we couldn't have them as wouldn't have been able to finish them. We now have an excuse to make a booking, to try those chips 👍 Will never go anywhere else for burger again. 😋😋

Amazing tasty burger and great quality beef , stunning with great sweet potato fries and great lager.

Reluctantly giving a lower rating than usual for the main reason that they didn't have any IPA beers on Father's Day. We had a great time on Mother's Day earlier this year so we thought we'd go back. Burgers we're really nice as hoped for(Grav), my daughter was happy with her Nansi Bach but they didn't have any IPA which was part of my plan. No big deal in the scheme of things but it took the shine off the day.

Best burger I've ever had. Had the Oriel Jones which I would highly recommend. Staff were very accommodating and willing to make changes to the burgers to satisfy the fussy eaters in the party. Can't wait to visit again! Diolch yn fawr!

I heard about Ansh through Wales Online so went to check out their burgs. Their staff were friendly and efficient, the food was served quickly and tasted delicious. Due to popularity, they weren't able to serve everything from their menu but this wasn't a problem as everything appears to be made with love and good ingredients. Will be going again

Great burgers but fries and sweet potato fries were bland n tasteless resorted to dousing them in salt n vinegar but they couldn't be rescued. Biggest issue was how cold it was, I kept my coat on throughout and constantly had to remind other customers to close door or just do it myself. Also despite being at 1/2 capacity food took about 40mins to come out.

Really enjoyed our recent visit here. The food was as amazing as you'd expect (I had the Jemima on the server's recommendation and it didn't disappoint!)
Staff were really friendly and knowledgeable and able to advise on everything.
Lovely atmosphere. Really enjoyable night!

The food was absolutely phenomenal and probably one of the best burgers I've ever eaten. I had the Betty Campbell and the all the ingredients perfectly complimented each other and it's the firth time I've had a potato bun that hasn't fallen apart while eating it.
If I was giving it a rating for the food alone it would definitely be 5 stars, but the speed of the service, especially when we were just wanting to pay our bill left a lot to be desired. They also got our drink orders wrong, which wasn't great. This could be overlooked if it was busy, but there was only three other people there at the time.
They also only turned the heating on when we were just getting ready to leave.
I'd definitely come back as these are issues that can easily be fixed and I want to try the rest of their menu.

Amazing burgers! The quality of all ingredients is excellent. The 3 to have are the Oriel Jones, Betty Campbell and Barti Ddu!
As for the sglods (chips), with the mutton curry on top is incredible. Thank you Ansh!

I had burgers, but nothing like these. Amazing burgers, great place and good local beers to boot.

Delicious burgers - probably the best I have ever had. It was clear that the meat was of excellent quality. I loved the buns - just perfect and didn't go all soggy. The chips were great too. Really appreciate the biodegradable packaging. Would definitely return and recommend. Very easy and efficient COVID-friendly collection service. Can't wait til we can sit out/in for a burger and can't wait to see development in your range of what's on offer.

Great unique burgers and great beers, go for it

It's rare to come across people that care as much about the food as ansh do, simply the best burgers you'll ever have!

Great food. Exceptional service. I wanted to go there for a while, worth the wait.

I just finished the gemima burger (mutton) and it was potentially the best thing I've ever put in my mouth. The burger was beyond reproach. The bun held itself together, the meat was just so flavourful and the herb cheese crisped and with caramelised onions. By far the best burger in Cardiff. It might even be better than Hills in Brecon and best the best burger in South Wales.

I'd heard a lot of very good things about Ansh, so I was excited to try it. The service was poor – having placed an order at midday, for collection at 8pm, I was disappointed to find myself waiting an extra 15 minutes in the freezing cold (with quite a lot of other people, which wasn't great in terms of social distancing). There was also some confusion when my food was finally ready, because the woman serving refused to tell me the names of the burgers in English: I am trying to learn Welsh but she spoke quickly and, given the number of other people around, I wanted to make sure I had the right order, but she told me she refused to acknowledge the English names from the menu! We got there in the end and I left conviced I wouldn't be back.
But there the story changes. The burgers were, quite simply, the best I've had. Everything was cooked to perfection and the flavours were incredible – so I will be giving them another go. I just hope the service can improve to match the food.

The best burgers we’ve ever had! Had a takeaway and eaten out the back too. Friendly and accommodating staff. Will definitely be back.

We dined it and I ordered the veggie burger.
It was so good. Really impressed.
Will definitely come back to try other burgers.

Best burgers in Cardiff. Great food Great service. Dioch!

Cracking burger - felt that the Oriol Jones burger could have done with something a bit crisp for texture but the flavour was great. The cheese bacon burger was awesome. The meat is cracking!

Stunning food and service impeccable - a fantastic venue - will be back soon

Mixed. We’ve had Ansh 3 times in the last 4 weeks to give it a fair trial. Barti Ddu has always been delicious and juicy. Our first time, the ‘everyone’s favourite’ was a bit disappointing and soggy, but the Barti was excellent. Service is disappointing. Our food has always only been ready 10-15 minutes after the time-slot booked, and there’s often no one at the door for a fair few minutes. It’s not fun to wait for 15 minutes in the cold and wet! More choice of sides eg. Onion rings would be great in the future.

Have had a takeaway and a table out the back, burgers are amazing, cracking location opposite Victoria Park, great staff, fab food. Recommended!
