S. L.What a fantastic start to your day in Cardiff! The menu has always been pretty good and the service is a standard, excellent! However with the festive season upon us, the addition of these lovely bits makes it even more enjoyable.
The Gin-Gle Bells cocktail and the Christmas Truffle Cheese Fondue Burger make Christmas shopping so much more easy and enjoyable. A fantastic and filling lunch which set us both up perfectly. Finished off with a lovely latte and we were 2 very happy people.
The server was seriously lovely, accommodating and professional throughout and I couldn’t have wished for more!
Highly recommend if you’re doing your Xmas shopping in Cardiff but do yourself a favour and book a table first.

E. D.Always lovely coming here. Staff are great. They all know their menus inside out. Always a warm welcome. Food is yummy. The chicken sesame dumplings were fantastic but the carrot cake doughnuts were sublime!
A.Much better than the cardiff central one! Nothing again them just this one is better.
The tables are a decent size, its a lot less crowded. Its definitely cleaner. The staff are nice at both but here felt like they were able to take more time to explain things and attend to customers.
The whole feeling and vibe is a lot more relaxed.
I like the options of the outdoor and indoor seating.
Overall this keeps bills high standard, and is why if i just want to grab breakfast or brunch ill always just go for a bills.

It was not a busy time so we were taken to an empty table, but as it was a nice day we asked to sit outside and had our choice of seating. I had the seabass florentine and my partner had the burger - and he was suitably impressed! The service was fantastic, the food yummy and good value as always. Did not let the chain down!

Would vome here again if we had no time restraints

Desert was amazingly cooked and how the Flower Pot (Desert pictured below) was served is brilliant!

J. W.The food was OK, although seemed a little overpriced for what you got and the staff were great. Frustrating thing is that my bill had 12.5% added to it for a service charge. I asked the lady serving me, what this was for as it seemed to be slipped onto the bill as a hidden charge, and she got quite embarrassed then removed it from my bill saying it was optional but they automatically add it. Instead I left a cash tip.
The cheek of it. I of course would expect to pay for service, but don't try to sneak it into the cost of the meal please, then leave your staff in the awkward position of having to explain it is optional but automatically added. I felt awful that I had embarrassed her by asking.

C. T.We love Bill's. We have a six-year-old daughter, who we have taken to Bill's since she was a few months old and we have always found the staff accommodating and helpful. As a vegetarian and now lacto-vegan, I find the food delicious and more varied than some other restaurants. My husband and daughter are omnivores and love the choice of food on offer. We have chosen Bill's for a number of family celebrations and have always enjoyed ourselves. We have introduced friends to Bill's and they now choose the restaurant when visiting Cardiff.
A. D.It was okay. I think the food was a little overpriced for what it was. I had a sirloin steak and im sure it was rump. Bit fatty but cooked well. My friend had a salmon dish and said it lacked flavour completely and had to add own salt. Nice place but i think overpriced for what it actually is

R. J.1) Came here for our moving in celebration. The waitress in Cardiff bay was very helpful. Food was amazing but if you like Rosé wine, definitely pick this bottle.

c. m.Good sized Bill's in a fab location. We didn't book but got seated promptly (other people behind us were turned away as it was rather busy) server was really friendly and food was fast and fresh.
K. M.My Grandson took me for lunch and 'Bill's' was a spur of the moment choice and our first visit. Conveniently placed right next to a car park (not free)it was an okay experience and we might go again. The waitress was helpful but I did feel bombarded with drinks! Having ordered one, carafes of water arrived seconds later. I ordered a fish finger sandwich but the menu didn't mention the 'doorstep' bread. Impossible to eat easily. I brought half of mine home, which was easily arranged. I couldn't put my finger on any problems but although everything was nice, nothing was outstanding. As a price comparison, we only had two main courses here, but elsewhere a few days later had 3 starters, 3 main courses and 2 desserts, all absolutely beautiful for an approximate overall £20 price difference. And a free car park!

N. E.Perfect dinner! Booked a table for 7PM for 2 people I went with my mum. We had the rosemary and garlic bread to start and we both had a steak each! My mum had sirloin and I had the rib eye which was delicious! Then for desert the waiter recommended the chocolate bomb desert to me which sounded great so I opted for that! Food was quickly served and was also piping hot which was great. The evening was made by our waiter Gareth, he was great and so helpful always asking if we would like anything else and topping up my mum's prosecco. What a credit to the restaurant he is! Thank you Bills for a lovely evening and we will most definitely be returning.

T. L.4 stars does this place justice.
It has a decent enough decor, and it also has good food, but nothing special. The content of the menu was alright, but an unexpected selection that is not for everyone to eat.
Besides, the staff was unattentive, never checked on us and only came to give the bill. Forgot to bring us water, and a drink that I ordered, but didn't forget to charge it, at which point it had to be amended.
Overall, a "decent" experience, hence a 4* rating instead of 5.

P. D.The food was good and the service was friendly and quick, however it's not a cheap venue, and be aware there is a 12.5% service charge which I was not made aware of when paying the bill and so left a cash tip too. When your paying a £200 bill £25 extra is a considerable amount.

R. H.Bill's is always high quality, finding the sweet spot between Harvester-like convenience and high-end dining. But this is a particularly pleasant location: a lovely building in a great location, with gorgeous natural lighting in the day and a warm cosiness at night. The staff are very kind and accommodating too.

R. L.Very long waiting time to order, which was understandable due to restrictions being lifted recently but still a little frustrating as there seemed to be alot of staff available. Food was passable but I always find the menu fairly limited. Staff were very friendly and obviously doing their best to operate with in covid guidelines. I didnt like that the "optional" 12.5% service charge was added on to the total of the bill, especially when the waitress informed us that the staff don't get any of that service charge. It seemed like an underhanded way of getting a bit more out of the customer. Maybe letting the customer decide how much they want to tip the servers would be a fairer way to do it.
D. D.The receptionist and staff we're friendly at first, however after ordering food nobody checked on us. For starters we had halloumi chips and they were lovely, however the mains were not as good. The steak had a rather pale colour and the fat wasn't rendered, seafood pie was underseasoned. Getting a bill took a very long time and it arrived wrong. Overall it felt a bit disorganised.

T. P.I love Bill's for brunch. My daughter and I stopped in here before a day of birthday shopping. I had the avocado and poached eggs on toast, my daughter had the scrambled eggs on toast. The eggs were clearly super fresh and were really tasty. We also had pancakes to share, and these were very filling and very tasty. Good thick pancakes. Lovely fresh orange juice with bits in topped it off just lovely.

Just for the service alone will go back (again) to the point that when customers are walking through the seating area the staff allow you to pass through first. It’s the little things that make a great restaurant and Bills down the Bay have got it so right. Highly recommend.

Although it was an extremely busy Saturday afternoon on a sunny day in Cardiff Bay, the staff found us a seat where we wanted and were polite in the process. The food was good, the service was good and the only thing to knock it down from a 5 star review was the table and chairs outside. They were (in my humble opinion) rather cheap metal ones and wooden ones would have felt better. Also they were pretty small and although just about big enough, didn't leave room for much else once the plates and glasses were on. This is not a complaint, just an observation and would definitely go back

H.Really expensive for the extremely small portions ...vegan breakfast was pretty poor and bland (save for tomatoes) , eggs royale absolutely drowned in thick gelatinous sauce ,asked for toast and jam as an extra (£4.50 ) and it came with no jam so asked where the missing item was and in fairness was swiftly brought to the table . £30 for 2 small breakfasts with 2 coffees is quite expensive but would happily pay if the portions were anywhere near satisfactory. The two waitresses were lovely but would not recommend or return sadly .

Only let down was a waiter (younger guy) got one dessert dish incorrect. But the lovely waitress team were onto it and corrected it for us. That's how you do it! The meals are lovely here. On arrival we were met and asked our preference of seat, inside or out! We choose to sit outside which was a lovely setting and atmosphere.

P. O.Called in after a very long day. All I wanted was to have a bite to eat and sit in a quiet corner. The waiter was excellent and cleared an area well away from everyone else. The food arrived and for one of only a handle of time the chicken burger wasn't cremated. The only criticism and this is to the whole chain, is that the portions are shrinking and the prices are staying the same or rising. I realise you have overheads but don't abuse your customers by trying to get away with this and not be rumbled.

Bills burger was one of the best ive ever had, and the doughnuts for dessert were something else. As great as the food was, the service was even better. The entire team were friendly and at ease in their work, despite it being really busy they took it in their stride. The host (didnt get his name) was brilliant, super comfortable in his role and so personal a credit to the restaurant, Lucy the young lady that looked after my table was amazing, super welcoming before I even sat down, just the right amount of attention and a really nice chat at the end of my meal. I will definitely be back, truly brilliant service and food. Thank you!!!

I can personally recommend the crab and aubergine risotto and calamales as a starter. They were not chewy or rubbery but light and crispy. One of my party had a steak which was cooked perfectly. The waiting staff were attentive and polite. The duty manager was also extremely helpful and attentive. Unfortunately I did not catch this young man's name. 5 star service. Will be coming back. A.Stopped for lunch here today. I asked if the pink lemonade was traditional still lemonade and was told it was. It arrived and was sparkling, never mind. My partner asked for a dark ale and was served dark lager. I ordered the fish pie and after asking if it was served with vegetables or a salad, the waitress told me everything was actually in the pie. The pie was tasty although mostly mashed potato and I found all of 3 peas, no other veg :(. My partner had a burger and fries and whilst the burger was fine, the child's portion size of fries was very disappointing. To top everything off, the bill for that came to just over £38, which included the already added 10%tip which stated it was optional. It just wasn't worth the money and we won't be back.

M.Had to wait a while for our starters and main meal,calamari was cooked to perfection but the water jug and my glass was dirty and stained but the staff was very happy to attend to the problem and brought out a fresh cold jug of water with a lemon and apologised.i am a dog lover as I have a cockapoo, but I dont agree with dogs inside restaurants.
