a.Not particularly bad but nothing particularly great either. If anything, it's a conveniently located and somewhat reasonably priced joint in the city centre if you maintain a halal-meat diet. See it as a Nando-lite for a few pounds less and arguably a bit quicker. I've been going here since opening in around 2018 and the experience has mostly remained the same.
Food: First things first, on a recent visit I was served a raw, pink, ground beef burger. Pink all the way through, yes I'll repeat, pink ground beef - which is potentially very dangerous to consume when uncooked due to bacteria. It was busy at midday and I was limited with time on my lunch break so couldn't bring it to the staffs attention. I sadly threw the burger away.
Onto the chicken, it's decent. The chicken strips can be a bit 'rubbery', but other than that, the whole piece chicken is good. Often times, and this is across almost everything on the menu, the sauce is very often quite watery with a more bitter/vinegary taste than spicy. It doesn't seem to stick onto anything like what a marinade should do. It gets in the way both in terms of mess if you're eating a burger, and generally in the way of flavour.
To their credit, there is a fair amount on the menu to choose from. From burgers, wraps, salads, chicken pieces, it's good variety and there's also a decent number of sides to choose from too. Be warned that if you ask for peri fries you'll likely only receive a dusting of peri salt.
Prices are okay, acceptable. I understand that inflation has affected everyone but I can't help but feel their prices are anywhere between 50p-£1 too dear, especially when buying a meal.
There's not a great deal of single seating arrangements, which is a bother. You'll end up taking up at least 4 seats to yourself on one table if dining in solo which doesn't feel great when others are lining up with acquaintances. The premises is kept clean and nothing feels grubby, you can quite comfortably eat in, there's also a washing basin which is always well maintained and loaded with hand towels, so top marks here!
Staff can seem a bit stressed and busy at midday and peak times so you'll have to anticipate them rushing your order and forgetting to ask things on your order like sides/eating in or takeout etc. Other than that staff are polite and prompt to help.
Overall, if you've not yet tried chilli flames I'd recommend making a visit if you're in town. There's a good chance you'll enjoy it.
A. A.Had some very tasty and good price food here . Ordered the half chicken with two sides and coleslaw for £8.5 which i do recommend ! Was excellently made ! Halal . In the middle of town (high street) . Accessible toilet , eat in or takeout available . Also do delivery . All in all id go again and id recommend this place to others . Easy going staff and great food . Hot sauce has a beautiful taste . Thank you for a wicked meal and see you in the future .

Don't be deceived by the size of the rice box, it's like Dr Who's Tardis. Hot spicey, plenty of chicken, the fries were hot crisp and covered in great flavouring. Will be back soon. No excuses as I'm only a hundred yards away 👍

First the food: I ordered a Beef burger at a medium hot level of spice and it was fantastic! The level of spiciness was perfect and the meat was more bulky than your traditional takeaway beef burger like you find at McDonald's. The burgers here are full of flavour and are very juicy, it's nice to get a take out burger cooked on a proper grill!
Staff were also friendly and attentive

M.£5.99 is a bargain for the tasty chicken wrap, chips and coke. Friendly staff. Choice of spice level. Perfectly flame grilled chicken. Very impressed. Only takes 10 minutes to prepare so well worth the wait. My only constructive feedback would be that the price changes depending upon who is serving, e.g., a wrap meal with a drink and two sides can cost you £6.99, £7.28 or £7.48, which is a bit random. Overall though, I must say Well done and thank you!

M. M. P.With a menu with no frills (actually the size of a business card), I was salivating at the thought of chomping down on some decent grub.
Feeling a bit on the naughty side but decidedly very hungry, I decided to get the double cheeseburger with sweet potato fries.
It’s a rare thing but I was delighted to be given the option to have my burger cooked medium-rare, which immediately told me that the meat must be of high quality.
When my burger and chips were brought to me, I actually marvelled at what lay before my eyes. A juicy, delectable, beast of a burger, the meat fell away in my mouth in a beautiful fashion. Though a tad on the greasy side, I forgave it because of the supreme flavour that coated my mouth. Oh my word.
And the accompaniment? The chips had a delightful sweetness and crispy crunch that made me wanting more and more.
My conclusion: I’ve been a fool. Until they find a worthy opponent, they’re now the top of my list.
Come again? Is it wrong to go once a week?
S. V.I had a menu 1/4 chicken with lemon sauce +salad+soft drink. Enough to feel full but not too much too feel stuffed. That chicken was so juicy and tasty, just a bit hot - I chose the least hot. Good price, helpful staff. I'll definitely go again.

I've tried Original flames with meat and it was so good. II visit the place at least once in every 2 weeks. After taking away my order, i walk 25 minutes to home. It's the same taste eating in the restaurant.

When I came here I ordered a rice box, oh my word, easily the best rice box I’ve ever eaten, well spiced, chicken cooked to perfection and the rice wasn’t dry. The food came piping hot. I highly recommend this place.

They managed to serve everyone with only a slight delay considering the volume of people they were serving. Has a decent amount of seating as well.
M. S.Food is varied and you can choose your level of flames. I personally found the mildest level still a bit too hot for me but if you love hot food, this is a place to visit. It's predominantly chicken, but you can choose your bread and sides. Portions are quite big too.

V.Nice food, can get really busy at lunchtimes but worth the wait. Avoid the barstools looking out to the high street, a lot of homeless people hang out on the high street and gape at you eating. Buy a meal for them on your way out if you are feeling charitable.

It's nice to see a new place open with more than the 'average' toppings and sides. We had fries and mash potato and it was lovely! I must admit I personally didn't like the lemon and herb sauce but 10/10 everything else. I'll just say no to the sauxe next time problem solved! Place was nice and clean too unlike other places that have sticky floors or tables!
