P. S.Had a brilliant time. A free shot on entry was nice. The interior had a real American feel to it. The food was absolutely lovely. Its not badly priced either. The waitresses will walk around and ask if you want anything so you don't have to keep going to the bar. The music was really good too. Definitely worth visiting and I intend to visit again next time I'm in Cardiff

M. M.We were a group of nine, pre-booked for a Stag Night. All was good, until we were accused of ordering drinks and not paying for them. The drinks in question were never ordered by ourselves. We left, had a walk around, decided to return, to be refused entry due to what can only be described as a huge misunderstanding once again. The three stars are for the atmosphere only, shocking service, very poor treatment. Won't be coming back.

The dancers seem to feel that they are in a safe environment the boucners are fair and get rid of trouble makers earlier rather than later.

W. E.The DJ playlist was very disjointed, we booked a table but there was nothing premium about the table and it was more out of the way than anything. It was mainly men in the bar and hardly any women make of that what you will. not the best night out I've had.

We only had 2 nites so on our arrival day we did a bar crawl up the main st & we'd seen that there was a Coyote Ugly bar. If u have seen the film then you will know of the bar & the ladies that line dance on top of it. This place is true to the film. We went early on our 1st visit. Around 4pm. The "coyotes" were doing a dress rehearsal & supposedly recruiting new dancers so we sat at our table with our drinks & watched them do their thing. It was great. We were not invited to join them but as it was quiet we felt like we were watching an exclusive show. We decided to go back later when it was in full swing & it didn't disappoint. Great atmosphere plenty of singing & dancing on the bar. My only disappointment was the toilets they were pretty disgusting & I've dropped a star because of it. But if want to go to a place that has a great vibe then this is your place.

A.Great place to go any day of the week but Coyote ugly does it best on the weekend, get down there to blow your cobwebs away with plenty of drinks and dancing, they have a huge screen on which the put football matches from the premier league on, the bar girls are all one in a million, fun and friendly you can give them tips and drinks if you so choose to, the girls can get up on the bar to dance if they ask the bouncers, and sometimes guys can get you and strut they're stuff but only on charity events.

As I had never visited before I thought why not.
The bar staff are friendly and I ordered the Boston bap and a pint, when it came it's probably the best pulled pork I have had in a long while.
I can't wait to come again and I may even bring the wife.

L. D.This is an updated review. In my last post I mentioned about how uneducated the door staff was with people with disabilities. The door man looked at me and said how many have you had to drink, and I replied 2 drinks across the road. I do apologise about not holding eye contact, I do struggle in that area with having aspergers. He giggles, not taking the pics, but because it was a joke with two people, and also my mates. I rated this place 3 stars before, because I found the doorman heavy handed, but the bar staff amazing. Due to the welcome tonight I'll give it five.

R.Atmosphere was brill, very well themed and thoroughly enjoyed. £5 to get in £2 to hang your coats(optional) Prices on alcohol is quite reasonable, however I queued for almost 25 minutes for a drink. The girls were rushed off their feet and understandably couldn't keep with who was next etc, when I asked to be served next (which after 20 minutes I think I was entitled to ask!) the bar waitress threw a bit of shade 😬 so I didn't bother going back for more drinks. But other than that it's a pretty awesome place!
v.Sadly, we visited when it was quiet at around 1pm. I bet this place rocks in the evening. It's built in an old theatre with amazing features such as stains glass panels in the roof and art deco light fittings. The staff were all working very hard to prepare for the evening but we're happy to stop for a chat about the place. Food was reasonable. I will have to come back of an evening to check it out properly.

s. p.Went here just after lockdown second night after reopening. Good beer. Found it difficult to get service though. We were took to our table and told we'd be served at the table due to Social Distancing. It took ages then for someone to come and wasn't even busy.

D. B.Quality bar and grill. Massive, food is brilliant and the menu is decent. Recommend this for a pub crawl or just a night out in general. Portion sizes are generous to say the least. Seating is a bit grubby but that's the only criticism I can think off. Its a good atmosphere with the sport on.

The bull was fun to try and gave plenty of entertainment throughout the evening with loads of people having a go. I'd say the karaoke style singing wasn't the best though and they could've made it more of a show like the film used too.
But overall, helpful staff and a great atmosphere!

It had a bucking bronco at the top,huge bar with ladies dancing and singing on top of it,very busy and to me surprise it wasn't long before I was served,bouncers male and female always making sure no one gets too boisterous,toilet's were disgusting though,but that is I imagine due to disgusting females using it!!! It's surprisingly big... obviously popular with stag parties as apparently they like to humiliate them but stags love it.....

If you dont like tipsy/ drunk people who arent causing problems, just having a birthday drink and laugh, you're in the wrong job. D. U. (.My friends and I came here for a couple of hours in the evening. Personally I loved the vibe and i thought that the girls dancing on the bar were a nice touch. However the music was kind of hit and miss (1 good song, 3 random songs that you can't really dance to)

J. N.On a night out it's amazing IF you get there early enough. You have to pay to get in but the dancing on the bar and the buffalo is well worth it. You need to be there early as this is cheaper to get in but also it is when everyone is merrily drunk rather than falling over getting into fights drunk. The later your in there the more annoyed you'll get by all the silly people having too many. I would still recommend going in atleast once for the experience.

Maybe bouncers by law should have random piss tests. Sure 99% will fail.

Booked a booth for a corporate night out and the management/hosts couldn't be anymore accommodating, All staff where friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Coyotes set the vibe with their dancing on the bar...
THE FOOD! OMFG!... What else does a guy want - Steak, Wings, burgers, chips and an endless supply of onion rings!... Awesome food fare play... and the drink prices very competitive!
Fantastic atmosphere all night and can see the Doorstaff (who smile) keep a very good level of professionalism, safety and security whilst in the club.....

N. W.It was great but when i visited there were very few people in there which made it seem a bit lonely. However it was a good evening.abd reminded me of Dusk til Dawn. I bet it's fantastic when it's busy. Staff were really pleasant And can't fault the decor.
J. W.It's how you'd imagine a bar named after the movie would be. Dark, American themed and looks a bit like a biker bar.
Saw the girls who dance there practising for the evening and they all looked really amateur apart from one girl who moved far better than the girl in charge. None of them looked particularly good looking.
L.Friendly staff. As I haven't seen the film i didn't know what to expect. My patner (who has seen the film) said that the layout was exactly as it should be, but the dancing on the stage, the singing and the ambience of the bar wasn't the same as the film.
Personally I thought it was ok.

S. H.If you've seen the film then they'll be no surprises, fun night out for stags and hens or even just a special occasion. Any female can dance on the bar (as long as your wearing sensible shoes) which is great for a giggle and for those who don't take themselves too serious. Plus they have a free bucking bull ride for those who are up for the challenge.
Update:- visited the bar again last weekend with a hen party only this time arrived after 10pm (£5 entry), bouncers were rude and treat you like cattle, aswell as a few of them gurning (on drugs) also expect long queues at the bar. If your going to go, arrive early before the meathead staff turn up.
So I'm reducing my previous 5 stars to a 3 stars as not feeling so inclined to go there again, which is a shame after the amazing time I had the first time.
J. M.We really love this place. I take my friends all the time. Good when it’s busy or just 5 of us.
However, last time we went in the music was ridiculously loud (like painful), so we couldn’t talk without getting sore throats. There were hardly any female customers and it was full of weird creepy men who were a bit too touchy and filmy. The staff paid attention to these guys the most so they must’ve had big wallets. We took advantage of the 3 for £5 jägers, played some pool, and left. Won’t be back in Tuesday BUT WILL BE BACK SOON!

P.What a place so much fun and a fab atmosphere the girls are all amazing friendly and happy and the one security guy who was working upstairs Jon with his mohawk, Ive never met a bouncer like him happy, friendly caring nothing is too much trouble and what a mover he should be up with the girls cos hes fantastic. He went out of his way to help my mother onto the rodeo bull and help her back onto her feet afterward. He also helped us carry our drinks back to the table and escorted my mum up and down the stairs as shes 76 and not too steady on her feet he kept us entertained and always had a smile a true gent. THANKYOU The only negative bit of the evening was a very attitudey female security officer who was so rude and argumentative with a few of my guests, she also nearly knocked my mum down the stairs by barging past luckily Jon came to her rescue hes a saint and whatever your paying him its not enough we will be back a thoroughly enjoyable evening overall Thankyou so much xx

B.I'm in Wales for a week and decided to pop in whilst visiting Cardiff. The lager and food prices were really good and i recommend the Chuck Noris burger as it was delicious and half price burgers on monday/tuesday made it great value for money, a great jukebox and a great time was had with some of the locals and bar staff with Jenga and noughts and crosses. I would imagine its a great place to socialise on weekends but i tend to prefer the quieter days myself.
