Y.This is an amazing must try restaurant for Cardiff!!! Best Spanish I’ve had in UK. We had:
1. Potato bravo which was crisp on outside and super soft inside
2. Thinly sliced fried aubergine in light batter, so tender and delicious and the batter didn’t overwhelm the aubergine
3. Roasted artichoke with garnish in a slightly bed of pepper mash/sauce. The artichokes were perfection and the sauce was smooth and slightly sour, a perfect combination
4. Mushrooms were deliciously buttery. Garlic taste not as strong as other places I’ve tried
5. Basque style cheesecake served with cream - absolute heaven, best cheesecake I’ve ever had. So creamy smooth and perfect texture
So so good and every dish was excellent. The restaurant has given each classic dish a special twist and was a wonderful dining experience!

R. v. A.A lovely local in the heart of Cardiff with a surprisingly rich variety of Spanish classics of various regions. The Pulpo however was a tad chewy and potatoes weren’t cooked to the Galician perfection, this was however out balanced by the lovely, cheerful staff and cozy vibes.
Defo recommended when in Cardiff and keen on that laid back good wine fuelled tapa fix.
C. R.This was a great find on our trip to Cardiff. It's located off the main street right near the stadium. (We actually saw the coaches bringing the players in.) We sat outside and had delicious Spanish tapas and vermouth. There is a great variety of vermouth and lovely Spanish wines. The food was delicious. We had tortilla, patatas bravas, pan con tomate, and a nice selection of olives. We felt that we were in Spain again. I highly recommend this lovely place. Great staff!
T. P.Fantastic service, lovely food. I came here with my mother recently, and we informed the staff that we were on a tight timeline to eat and then head off. We were seated immediately and informed of the quickest things to order on the menu. Our food came out ridiculously quickly, and it was absolutely delicious. We couldn't finish it all, so we were then offered some boxes to take our food away with us. Thank you so much for the very speedy and high quality, friendly service.
We enjoyed the bread and olives, padron peppers, red pepper and goats cheese (my favourite!) and the croquettes.

M. H.We were visiting from out of town, and this was our best experience in Cardiff by far. We were greeted as soon as we arrived and shown immediately to our table (we had reserved in advance fwiw) and the atmosphere was casual and convivial.
We started with a few small dishes and some pan con tomato, and then moved on to a meat & cheese board (we chose 8 pc board for the two of us). This ended up being just right.
Our server for the evening was Imogen, and I can’t say enough about how wonderful she was. Lovely and warm from the beginning, she was incredibly helpful with our decision-making for both the food and wine, and when asked for her opinion she actually HAD AN OPINION (not just some regurgitated list of the specials). Brilliant!
When we finally left we were giddy from what a good experience it had been. Will definitely return on our next visit to Cardiff!

You might find it a bit pricey, but if you want the closest to the real deal, you'll need to pay for it.

The pdf drinks menu accessed by QR code is a bit strange given you cant order via an app and the food menu is a standard laminated sheet of paper. Would be better if you could either order the drinks via an app or just have a physical drinks menu. Scrolling through the sizeable drinks menu via pdf on your phone is clunky.
That's a pretty minor grumble though and the drinks are excellent, the house red was suprisingly good.
Really nice Deli downatairs with an excellent choice of sherry, wine, meats etc.
Will be going back for sure.
J. W.Visited Curado from a recommendation from Google, during a visit to Cardiff. Went for lunch on a Monday. Staff where excellent. As a novice to tapas the waiter explained through the menu for us. Had a excellent meal, which was well worth the visit. Would definitely go back and would recommend to friends.

L. I.Go for the atmosphere not the food. Had a great night but was disappointed in the food quality and it felt like chain food. Chorizo was very soft, almost like a cheap hot dog. The portions were very large and would have much preferred quality over quantity. Also there weren't any napkins... Overall it's good for an evening meal or drink but wouldn't go back for the food.

C. H.I visited recently for some after work food and drinks and was pleasantly surprised. The staff here are extremely knowledgeable about their drink and food with the barman giving us a huge amount of information about the range of drinks that they had there.
The food menu is pretty extensive and has something to please everybody. Ordering was quick and easy and the food didn't take too long to come out, despite being very busy at the time we visited.
I highly recommend this place and will certainly be back for tapas here again.

S. B.This place was recommended to my friend and I by a Welsh friend, as we were staying in Cardiff for the Saturday night to see a concert. We booked a table for 6pm, and were greeted and sat down quickly - its a nice place with a great atmosphere, and it was already buzzy, even that early. We shared a bottle of wine, and about 5/6 plates of food, which was plenty. The menu was much more extensive than it had appeared online. Everything was brilliant, absolutely delicious and brought out fresh and hot. The only reason I’ve dropped a star is that we were told three times that we were under a two-hour time limit. That was absolutely fine - I’d been told when I booked, and two hours is a perfectly reasonable amount of time to spend at dinner. But being told a further two times made us feel a little unwelcome, and it was all at times when we still had food left/to come, so we weren’t exactly hanging out twiddling our thumbs or trying to get in the way. If you can serve us sufficiently in two hours, then great, but it’s not really my responsibility. I’d definitely go back and recommend it though, maybe they need a system where they mark off tables that have already been told about the two-hour limit, so they’re not told again and again.
R. M.The folk at Curado have taken tapas and elevated it to a culinary art form. Possibly the best tapas I've ever had including whilst in Spain. A excellent selection of wine to accompany your selection along with various spirits is available.
Patatas bravas is, I feel, the benchmark dish of a tapas bar - if its wrong you probably aren't going to find anything worth your attention on the menu. Curado gets it absolutely right and they are delicious. There is a great combination of spice and salt. I can also recommend the Fritura de pescado: pieces of hake, cod, prawn, squid all in a light batter. It contains the best calamari I've had recently with all the textures balanced really nicely.
We went on a Friday lunchtime and there was just enough people around to keep a good atmosphere. The service is helpful, not intrusive at all and happy to recommend if you've ordered too much! Even after finishing we didn't feel pressured to move on.

J. H.Had an absolutely great night. Hadn’t booked a table, but was lucky enough to get one of the tall tables opposite the bar. The menu is amazing, with some great fresh meats and cheeses from the deli section. We also had some of the hot dishes, which were also great.
The service was second to none. Teej helped us choose and explained what each dish was, and where it was from. She also recommended wines (a red and a white Rioja).
We had a great time, and were pleasantly surprised by the bill, considering how much we had eaten and drunk!
We’ll definitely be back any time we’re in Cardiff.

This place imports from Spain, and much of it is even available in their adjoining shop. The prices are quite modest, even considering the quality. If you've eaten in Madrid, San Sebastian, etc, then you know what to expect, if not, then you've got a pleasant surprise waiting.

C. D.Been coming here before the rugby for just over a year now. The food is always incredible. Make sure you check the specials as there is always something you will want on there. Their saltwater beer is a must. Staff are really good as well, cheerful and attentive.

It wasn't served in pints despite the strength of the beers bring no more the 5% and the price being very similar to pint prices in other places. The cost just isn't worth the great tasting beer. Order quite a lot of dishes and it was hard to spread them out with very little space, unfortunately the food wasn't anything special, in fact i'd probably have enjoyed chain food at bit more, idk maybe its just not my cup of tea. Bloody mary I had was good and the staff were really nice, probably be good to get drunk and have nibbles with friends than just for a date.

But.. Ham came after some other plates, when pointed they said plates come as they are ready but this is elementary in a Spanish/Portuguese setting. Mistakes need to be accepted. Similar problem when a wrong plate was brought in a previous visit. It has the elements to be great but falters in small stupid things
M. B.They have chipirones!!! So hard to find outside of Spain! Made my evening! The menu was varied and every single one of the dishes we tried was on point: the gambas juicy, the tortilla only partly set, the sobrasada spiced... The fabulous range of gins was also well worth exploring!

(Not sure about vegans) I had a pork loin pintxo which was delicious. The perfect combination of meat, pardon pepper and garlic aioli on a toasted bread. A nice selection of soft drinks, which didn't include the usual boring offerings of coke or pepsi. Staff member who served me was friendly and helpful. Would be a Monday regular if not for work / distance to Cardiff from home. Surprised it wasnt packed, serving such good food at these prices

P. F.Left stranded in town on a Friday early evening with a hungry 90 year old in wheelchair (our original restaurant we had booked didn’t call us to mention their disabled lift was broken but they could help us carry our mother up 2 flights !! Yeh right !!
On the off chance I popped into Curado explained what had happened and could they accommodate 4 people including Wheelchair – The place was packed – The only accessible table was occupied but if we didn’t mind a makeshift table they could sort something out for us. Within minutes they brought out a table and 3 stools from back room and we were seated.
The staff couldn’t do enough for us. They were amazing. Mum being Spanish said the smells and atmosphere brought memories of childhood – the Tapas were excellent (think we sampled most of them) The Cava was flowing and the icing on the cake was that they sold Anis del Mono behind the bar Mum bought few things from their Deli Counter before we left.
After we took mum home my sister and I went back for a “night cap” Suffice to say from a disastrous start of the evening it ended being one for the memory books…Will most definitely go again and do recommend Curado’s for its authenticity, selection of foods wines and more so its staff…..Well done and thank you for making it a perfect evening
