I've been here twice so far. For breakfast and dinner. If you are in the mood for some proper american style cuisine, you're in the right place. Very polite staff and big portions. I can recommend it.

Staff polite and helpful and food was superb. Had an American breakfast and wasn’t disappointed it tasted fantastic. The tiled walls and tables were immaculately cleaned too the only reason it lost a star was the painted walls were a bit tatty in places.

Had a great time with my daughter's at Ed's dinner in Cardiff today .food was great loved the chicken burger with fries 🍟 my daughter's are vegan and had a vegan burger and a vegan hot dot .but watch out for the calorina reaper sauce it's very hot hottest chilly in the world so go easy .very reasonable prices excellent service would definitely go again .

Great 50's style American diner. Its situated in St Davids 2 food Hall area on the ground floor. We both had burgers which were well cooked and presented. Service was good and staff were friendly.

Large menu choice, quick service even when busy. Pleasant staff. Had classic hot hot with a side of fries and a side salad. really tasty hot dog 😋 fries 👌 salad 👌 You cannot really pick hot dog up that's why they give you a knife and fork 😂 washed down with a bottle of 🍺. Would go again. They also do in the mornings classic English breakfasts. Good place.

The lady was so nice and the food was quite good. Unpopular opinion: the portions are actually quite small so i had to order a second dish. The milkshakes are very thick and good value for money because they are so thick. I would suggest they have more deals on different days because it is very empty sometimes. Good experience overall.

Wonderful staff, very polite waiters. Food was absolutely beautiful, good quality burgers, drinks are always the perfect temperature. Great hygiene, never had to sit at a dirty seat, glasses are shining. Last time I went I tipped a fiver to a waitress because of how polite, patient and just over all wonderful she was. 5/5 stars <3

Every time we go here as a family it is always a pleasant experience. The staff are always really pleasant and welcoming and the food is always spot on. We went today, the first time after COVID and again our waiter was super friendly and very accommodating. Great food, great customer service 👌🏻

Nice staff, took way too long for the food. Tables needed a good wipe down. Just needed a bit more attention to the turn around of tables, especially as it's a fast food chain. The customer service was good though in terms of personal interaction. Quality of food was as expected for a chain.

Staff were very good and couldn't help us enough,unfortunately the food took some time to come out and when it did they were very small in portion size .

We found ourselves needing to eat in a massive rush as we needed to get to a show in the Motorpoint. The staff were very accommodating helping us to order quickly as we were seated. We had a cheese burger, chicken burger and shared some fries. All were tasty, although unfortunately as we were rushing we more or less inhaled the food and didn't have time to enjoy it properly. Definitely no time for photos!

I went to Ed's last night for my hen do meal. We had the best time ever with the best food and the best service. Grace, Emily, Poppy and Michael were so fabulous we gave them a round of applause as we were leaving. We will be back again for sure. A new favourite 😍

I’ve eaten at Ed’s dinner more times than I count across the years, always had a delicious meal and staff were always courteous and speedy. Love the decor and music, and there’s quite a lot of choice on their menus. I definitely think their milkshakes (salted caramel + malt ) are the best I’ve ever had! The one star I knock off is due to the price/size ratio that seems to have changed post lockdown (perhaps due inflation?) I remember pre-2020 there were a lot of discounts via email being delivered, there was a reward programme on an app which I now can’t find and… I’m certain milkshakes used to be filled to the rim of the metal cup and you had even some extra in a glass. The price of milkshakes is now 5.5 but there’s quite a bit of space to the top of the cup. Wouldn’t mind if it was just a size decrease, but combined with the price it becomes impossible for me to just pop in as I used to for a treat 😞

I always visit here when in Cardiff, always had great tasty food at a great price and the milkshake is a must, they are delicious, I try to try something new each time I visit, if you are here in the morning then the breakfast served here is a must, its absolutely stunning

Can't rate it enough. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Food was amazing. Words can't describe how amazing it is. I would and have recommended Ed's Diner to anyone I know. Went there for my other half's birthday and took my mother too, even she said it was amazing and mother's know best ;) Will be coming back again and look forward to dining with you. Thank you
