P. E.The afternoon tea boxes delivered to our home today were absolutely delicious.
A lovely selection of finger sandwiches including gluten free and the array of cakes was wonderful. Fresh strawberries, clotted cream, little pots of jam and Welsh tea bags were included. It proved to be a wonderful treat for us. Jaspers excelled themselves.

D. L. (.Lovely venue with olde world charm near the cathedral (and 2hrs free parking nearby). Went for afternoon tea which was a plentiful array of sandwiches (egg mayo, ham & mustard and salmon cream cheese) and sweet treats (cup cake, large mini Victoria sponge, macaroon, mini welsh cake, scone cream jam & chocolate strawberry). Coffee was properly hot (rare these days) and delicious. Only thing that let this down was service. The young lady looking after us had a totally disinterested manner, no one came to check if all ok or offer coffee top up despite frequently walking passed our table.

Jasper's did the food for our wedding at the Llandaff Institute, the buffet style food was amazing, as expected. Well done Babs and her team.

L. D.Was a bit disappointed, as there was no reserved table even though I had booked. So ended up sitting next to toilet, which I hate. Tea and coffee were luke warm , and we had to go and ask for some sauce , it wasn't offered. The waitress was young and didn't speak to us , and my white chocolate and raspberry cake didn't taste of white chocolate and the raspberry was just raspberry jam, but it was very moist thankfully. Sorry to be picky , but we rarely go out now, and maybe we expect too much . Sandwiches and toasties were OK.
N.Had a lovely afternoon tea today with our baby. We requested the vegetarian option and all sandwiches and cakes were delicious - including the cutest Welsh Cake we’ve ever seen! Staff were friendly and attentive, and our drinks were refilled too. Parking is limited on the high street (1hr free parking Monday to Saturday, no restrictions on Sunday). Very clean toilets too with a baby changing table. Definitely recommend!

H. D.Jaspers tea rooms did an outstanding outside catering afternoon tea event for 40 people at Insole Court for our family last Saturday 6th November. The service was exceptional and the cakes and sandwiches were delicious. The vintage crockery and cake stands on the tables looked stunning. I cannot recommend highly enough. Thank you so much Babs to you and your friendly team for making our afternoon tea event such a success.

A. P.There's a very traditional British tea room vibe on offer here. Very nice tea, coffee, cakes and snacks, though nothing out of the ordinary. I personally find the seating area a bit cramped and dark, but that fits the general olde-worlde style of the place. Apparently there's a decent garden, but it's always been closed when I've visited, and I found it very off-putting on my last visit that someone was putting round a mop ready to shut up shop. Surely you do this after you've closed your doors to customers?! Pleasant staff and service, but not one of my favourite places really.
S. K.Ordered an afternoon tea to be delivered for my daughter’s birthday. I made a total hash of it and booked the wrong day. My mistake was dealt with and rectified with good humour and efficiency. My daughter reported back that the afternoon tea itself was superb and really good value. Very professional, friendly and a high standard of produce. Will use again.

A. B.My wife and 2 teen daughters visited recently, we ordered Corned Beef Pie, Welsh Rarebit, Brie & cranberry Panini and a Jacket spud with beans. .......all utterly delicious.
The service was polite , prompt and warm.
Jaspers is so cosy it's little rooms adorned with local art ( which can be purchased ) also a view of a derelict Monks Castle left dormant after a visit in 1400s by an angry Owain Glyndwr.
Jaspers is a hidden gem in Cardiff .Well worth a visit even if you not local.

J. F.Visited this little cafe years ago and really enjoyed it, but never managed to make it back till now. I'm so happy I've found this cafe again. I will certainly be going more often now. They have a great range of different foods/meals, I highly recommend the egg and smoked salmon bagels. Very friendly staff and a very peaceful venue. I would highly recommend them for any body looking for a cute cafe to meet up with friends and catchup.
D.Have visited here twice recently. My first forays to eat out in 5 months. Jaspers have a separate entrance and exit and the order counter had a screen. Staff also wore face masks. We elected on both occasions to eat out, in the small courtyard at the back of Jaspers. I ordered for the second time their Welsh Rarebit as it is absolutely delicious and the best I've ever tasted. It comes with a choice of brown or white bread and is served with Onion Marmalade and a side salad. My companion today ordered the quiche. This was a generous serving which arrived warmed with Onion Marmalade, bread and a side salad. Also delicious. Our different teas came in little tea pots, so enough for two cups each. Would definitely recommend a visit.

A. T.We went on Christmas eve for a Christmas afternoon tea..... amazing!!!! The tearooms is such a lovely setting and the staff so friendly. The place was so busy and they just cracked on in an efficient manner. The sandwiches were amazing, and no crusts!! Turkey, Salmon, cranberry and brie and cream cheese (for the veggie!). Then on to the the 2nd tier...... we had scones, that were so light, with cream and jam, followed up with a mini mince pies and a lemon cheesecake. Then for the finale..... it was a profiterole, a slice of Christmas cake and Cherry dipped in white chocolate on an after eight chocolate... AMAZING!! All in all if was fantastic!! Would highly recommend.
T. P.You can find me here every Sunday morning at about 10:00 with my friend for a good tea chat and lovely gluten free brownies. Intimate and lovely atmosphere. The staff very nice and professional. Congratulations for the cooker!

N. W.We had a baby shower afternoon tea for 18 people on a Saturday afternoon at Jaspers. The food was delicious - 5 types of sandwiches and generous amounts of sweet treats with the chocolate eclairs and victoria spoke cakes as stand outs. We asked for gluten free and vegan options, as well as a couple of alternative hot drinks which weren't an issue and I'm assured were just as tasty. What made our day were the staff who were absolutely faultless - friendly, thoughtful and couldn't do enough for us. As the setting is quaint, 18 in one room was cosy but the staff kindly walked their orders for other guests out of the doors and back in the other side in horrible weather to avoid walking through our party which was additionally thoughtful. Would highly recommend.

P. J.I had pre booked a table for my mother's 80th Birthday. It was highly recommended by my sister. The tearooms were cosy and the food was lovely. However, I was very disappointed in customer service. Most of the staff were unwelcoming and unfriendly. I will not be returning.
P. T.This is a lovely place for an afternoon tea. It is small but very cosy. The cost was £15 with a good selection of sandwiches cakes and deserts. Tea and coffee was unlimited. Well worth a visit.
G. F.Jaspers Tea Rooms combined an absolutely wonderful location with great service and even better cakes. You can tell you are outside a rather unusual cafe as soon as you see the giant Marmite jars in the window. It only gets better from here. Inside it is a very old fashioned seventees decor and it makes complete sense without quiet location of the top of Llandaff and the cathedral being around around the corner it does feel like a little slice of calm
c.No heating and dogs and we re cold and interupted by the sound of dog barking. We sat with coats on and found it warmer outside. Coffee was ok and latte.Today staff were idifferent and dirty tables. the manageress babs looked at my reviews on trip advisor and she said that I gave 90per cent negative reviews. But we only give negaive and positive comments where due. She must have been trying to cover for her staff.
H. H.Quaint, friendly. Nice options of drinks and food. 4 stars due to nature of the space. No room for wheelchair users or prams. Be careful if tall as low head room . On 3 different levels internally be careful is poor sighted or wearing varifocals.
