Nice enough food but service was slightly lacking. Nobody took a drinks order and when I asked for a water it never arrived. Slightly pricey but good portion sizes. Okay for a quick meal

A bit of a run down spot, there was ducktape on our seats and its a bit cold inside as its close to the doors. The staff weren't welcoming or friendly but that didn't bother me much. The food was pretty good, the chicken ramen broth was delicious and warming, and it was a huge portion. Though, halfway through my meal I realised the noodles were in fact, spaghetti. So I dont think it is very authentic lol. My partner had beef gyudon which was quite tasty and filling. Was hoping it would come with an egg but it didn't. Its a bit expensive in there also but most Japanese restaurants are. Overall 3/5

We visited this place on a wim as we were hungry Its not a big restaurant, but there were a few spaces left There were plenty of people tucking into their food and it looked great. Most of the customers were of Asian origin, not sure if thatss a good sign of good food or that,s just a myth. We were greeted and shown where we could sit, but a friendly member of staff. the menus and other graphics look quite poor compared to the other places within the St David Center. Maybe that's the look they want. Traditional, no frills look. The menu isn't the most extensive, but it does have decent selection of food. The prices seem quite high, but the portions and quality were very good for us. I ordered pork spice Ramen noodles and it was very nice. The spider crab roll was also very good. I'm no expert in Japanese cuisine, but i did enjoy it very much. Overall a great experience and would visit there again. Our bill came to £50 with 4 dishes, a wine, green tea and bottle of rose lemonade.

Only had the pork broth Ramen soup and it was yummy. Tasted the ramen noodles and they're really good but because its not actually part of my dietary requirements, I didn't finish the noodles. The two gyoza that came with the dish were really good and I ate them even though strictly speaking my diet doesn't allow for it but got a live a little from time to time I guess. Very yummy. Staff vet friendly. Food delivery was lightning fast. Having said that there was only one other table occupied. Will definitely come back.

Lovely food, friendly staff, food comes out very quickly. Had the chicken karage to start which was crispy and flavourful. Followed by the beef donburi which was lush - highly recommend. Dessert was a delicious scoop of black sesame and a scoop of coconut milk ice cream. Lovely end to a fab meal.

You can eat everything else but do not order the yakisoba. Everytime I go to Cardiff, I go to Mt.Fuji and always loved the food but this time around when we ordered something new to try which was the salmon yakisoba... the yakisoba was a disaster... My disappointment only ate the salmon and left the noodles out...

This place is one of my favourite Cardiff gems. Situated right opposite Yo Sushi, it beats the chain by quality, quantity and price, yet it always seems quieter. The food is super tasty, with bowls of donburi, ramen and noodles being plentifully provided. If you're new to Japanese food they also serve nifty bento boxes to give a taster into the various flavours of Japan. If delicious, bountiful food doesn't sell you, it's decor will surely make you smile, as you're guided by a friendly face into the seats of a replica Shinkansen. And really what more could you want from your Japanese dining experience?

Very friendly staff, was told on arrival what was unavailable on the menu, they were very informative and very helpful. The food was very delicious, had lots of flavour and was very reasonably portioned. Prices are fair and well worth it. Outstanding hospitality and customer service. For those who understand Japanese food, the food in this restaurant looks quite same in what you can find in Tokyo or Kobe, but I think the taste still could be improved a lot. After all, it is fast food, so it is acceptable. Pork rice and chicken rice are worth eating. Sometimes it takes a long time because I guess they only have two chefs.

Frequently eat here. The staff are always very friendly and the food is always very good! I wouldn’t recommend coming here just for sushi, but the bentos, ramen and katsu curries are delicious! The matcha chiffon cake is also a favourite of mine. Docked a star as they used to come to your table and ask if you were ready to order, but recently i think they wait until you raise your hand? This sometimes leads to longer waiting times as they don’t have many staff.

Cute, tasty & quick. When Asian people eat at an Asian eatery, I take that as a good sign. The decor is charming, though the booths are not very wide if you're of the chubby variety. It's ok if you're in a party of 2 though as there's chairs. Food was served within 10 minutes. Very tasty, presented beautifully, good quality and quantity. Maybe a little pricey at £11-£16 for just a main meal, but not too bad by city centre standards.

Boyfriend had the pork ramen there was 2 slices of pork and was a lot of soup, I had the chicken chunk curry, was pathetic the amount of chicken even for a regular, curry also possibly watered down as was very runny o. We had to wait a while as it was busy. The staff were fairly helpful and welcoming. The location is near the entrance to the arcade and on a cold Winter's day the restaurant was too cold to remove outdoor clothing. The waitress said that there were plans to improve this. The Bento box meal was tasty and equal to the standard of Fuji restaurants in Thailand which I have always enjoyed. There the price is 50% of the UK price. More salad or vegetables as standard would be good .

Went with my student son. Previous day tried a different restaurant that had some very bland Japanese food. Not so here. Great tasting food. Great service. The only disappointing part is the location by the shopping centre doors. Made it rather chilly. Would definitely recommend it for a lunch stop

Went here for takeaway to collect today. Ordered for four people & asked if we could treat each person's meal as a separate order, wasn't an issue. We came in to collect & it all went seamlessly, service was awesome. The food was really nice, very tasty & a good portion of it, will definitely be coming back!

Have eaten here about four times, and although the location isn't the best, the food is delicious and more than makes up for it. I can't speak for the sushi, but the beef teriyaki donburi, eel teriyaki donburi, eel and chicken bento, and the macha cake, pancakes and latte are all to die for. Service has always been good, but I've never been there at a busy lunchtime.

I tried to go to Mount Fuji 3 times on a Saturday evening and it was always closed early because they ran out of food. I then went on a Sunday lunch time and it was actually open but they were out of salmon, which is what I intended on ordering. Anyways, what they did have in stock tasted amazing!
