An excellent cafe situated right across the road in front of the main gate of Cardiff Castle. Although it is very small in size, but has amazing things for quick bite - cakes, snacks, coffee, cupcakes, brownies, milk-shakes and ice-creams. We tried cakes and ice-creams, and would definitely recommend. They also have a few seats outside and we were lucky to get for ourselves. The staff are absolutely friendly, welcoming and fantastic. Overall, a great place !!!

Recently had an overnight stay in Cardiff for the fabulous Christmas light show in the park. The following morning we were the first customers to enter the upstares of Palette. Had a shashing freshly cooked breakfast and a cracking brew.

My wife and I had afternoon tea here and were shocked when we were brought a tower of incredible food for a very reasonable price. The owner and staff were friendly, and the view of the castle from their upstairs dining area was amazing. I would highly recommend not leaving Cardiff without trying their afternoon tea!

Attracted by the various food and the welcoming smile of the owner, went in and not regretted. The little shop had high-quality food, the vegetable and meat looked fresh. The raspberry cupcake was so tempting. had one and most satisfied. worth visiting and having a bite. The beautiful owner is an Armenian artist, was to open a gallery upstairs. will definitely go there again.

Discovered this little gem today. Window full of delicious looking toasties and sandwiches, but in an altogether different category of quality. Went in and had a bite to eat, noted the cakes, some of which are home made. Very good prices as well. The person working there was enthusiastic and the vibes I picked up were good. I think this is going to be a rapid success.

Wow! Amazing breakfast so full up all day great value for money we ate up stairs in there 2 new dinning rooms lovely decorated and great pics on the walls spotlessly clean very friendly staff we then went and met friends and then took them back there for coffee and biscuits and they loved it to we will be back thank you girls your doing a great job.

Really awesome place to grab Coffee and Cake. Right infront of Cardiff Castle. Have seating outside which gives you a nice feeling sipping coffee at the City's prime location. Have variety of desserts, ice creams and cones. Unlike high street shops, the desserts are reasonably priced and quite fresh. Must visit when you are around the corner.
