Not really much of an meat eater as gets put off by some stuff but thought I would give this place a go. I'm so glad I did! It's changed me and I now love steak! It was so tender and cooked exactly how I wanted it. No fat!! And absolutely delicious. The staff are so friendly and the atmosphere was welcoming. This is definitely a place to go back to. We loved it! There's lamb, beef and also chicken there and it's Halal.

Steak was amazing, better than experienced at another branch, which was surprising as I'd assumed it would have been the same. Wait time for food was low, and it came out sizzling. I had mine medium and it was perfectly cooked. Very impressed and super tasty. Definitely will return if/when I'm in Cardiff again.

After reviewing a few months ago with just stars we revisited and it's so worth the written review. We had a suprise party for my besty in there private party room. The room was decorated amazingly even asked what colour we wanted. From start to finish on organising it the lady there was so helpfull. Food is amazing can't express how good the steak out style steak is the taste is something else. Served on a sizzler with the caramelized onions. Perfectly cooked and full of flavour. Dirty fries again nice size portion defiantly for sharing unless you have a good appetite. Service is right up there it's something else. We were definitely wowed and we will definitely be back. My picture skills are not the best but amazing night had by all

Had a great meal here with my friends. The staff were excellent, I can't praise them highly enough. It was the first time we'd been here and we had a really chatty server who gave us loads of recommendations when we were indecisive and helped us choose what to order. Good food and not a bad price for what you get. A large range of food on the menu. Staff all wore masks and stuck to covid guidelines. We will be returning.

Everything was perfect, although the medium fillet mignon was slightly over done. Service was great. The prices are much cheaper than I expected, but I guess anywhere is cheaper than London. 100% recommend.

The flavour was outstanding. 100% for this place as everything was very tasteful and very clean restaurant. Even the toilets made me giggle. All clean and very tidy there. Will be going there again. Paid extra fir the bigger steak and it was fat and grizzle, they did cook me another steak and said I could have fresh fries. Time my other steak arrived all my party had finished their meals and my fresh fries never arrived. They did give a small discount but I was very disappointed, also no alcohol served.

Really nice steaks, the fillet mignon was a bit spicy with the steakout sauce which was a bit strange but all else was pretty nice. I wouldn’t recommend getting the chicken burgers.

OK so I have been to steakout before and didn't enjoy it. I reluctantly went this time as my cousin really wanted to go. This time, to be fair, the food was good. I enjoyed my steak with pepper sauce. Last time I went I had the mushroom sauce and it was basically cream with some mushrooms floating in it - disgusting. So I wouldnt recommend that. Have the pepper sauce instead. Worth saying that staff were nice and polite as always though.

1st time here. Probably due to covid-19 it was quiet but I also went at 5pm which is their opening time in weekdays. They open from 1pm on the weekend. Lots of choice including vegetarian. I went for steak and ordered that. Lovely piece, tasty and made me think I will come again with the kids. But it is more of a 2/3 older ppl place not really family one. Felt it was a bit expensive but I enjoyed the food and the time with my friend.

I was at Steakout for the first time last Wednesday and I have to say that the food was sensational :) I ordered Korean popcorn chicken with garlic bread which was a perfect combination of spice and sweetness. The staff was also very friendly and open to have a good conversation with. I will come back again when I have a chance to do so!

Very average food for the price. Steak is nicely done and tender but the sauce was very "raw" and flour-y tasting. The jalapenos on the dirty fries were from a jar and I'd expect fresh for an £8 starter. Genuine liquidy American nacho cheese which is a plus. £4.50 milkshake was divine and well worth it. Overall they get a 6/10 from me which is just not quite good enough for me to endorse enthusiastically. Nice enough but given the amount of great spots to eat nearby it falls short of the mark for me.

My Steak was cooked to perfection. I had the medium well done. Had the steakout option where the steak had been marinated in spices beforehand with peppercorn sauce and chips. Really nicely done. My friend had the chicken and rice and enjoyed her meal thoroughly. Service was prompt and staff were friendly and helpful. Will be back again!

Second time I've been and the food has got better. Steak was cooked to perfection and very good service. Would highly recommend for good halal steaks. Only downside is that it can be quite expensive. However you get what you pay for.

I was very impressed with this steakhouse as I had wanted to try them for ages so gave them a chance and had a delivery off them and although they are pricey you get what you pay for. I would order from here again in the future. Word to the wise the drinks are pricey £2.15 for a can of soda is a bit steep!

The first time I went, hands down the best steak I have had in my life. Highly recommend the medium fillet mignon. It was a bit hit or miss, as the second time I went (I did get a sirloin instead so there would be obvious texture differences) I found it difficult to chew and almost unappetising. Bummed that I asked for medium and essentially recieved well done. I'm not deducting much from the rating just because anyone can make mistakes every now and then. My first visit would have been 5 stars, I'm hoping that it is usually like that experience. It definitely is fun to get the steak sizzling on a hot pan.

Great addition to the area. A rare proper steakhouse in the area!! My wife had a Rib-Eye and it was cooked to perfection. I had a very tasty chicken burger. The venue itself feels like an authentic steakhouse with booth seating. The decor is well done. We were also very impressed with the speedy and polite service. If we could improve things it would be to have melted cheese on the burgers and better fries and mash. Perhaps triple cooked or hand cut fries? Anyway a welcome addition to the area and the best restaurant in the Roath area!!

The layout of the place is a little odd, but that doesn’t take away from the quality of the food which is fantastic. Steaks are perfect and cooked to preference, as well as the sides which are surprisingly great also (sides tend to be a little meh generally), and the staff are great at their work and make you feel at home there. By far the best quality meat I've had in ages!!! I had the lamb ribs, lamb chops, prawn dippers for starters with a friend. Followed by an amazingly cooked fillet mignon. My friend had the sirloin steak. Man they was absolutely fantastic. We agreed on the taste and quality. The restaurant itself looks fantastic and the service is really good. Parking is sadly not good, it's on a busy road. But still worth the walking distance. The fillet mignon was out of this world. Already planned my next visit with the same friends. Gonna order the rib eye next time and the fillet mignon. Can't wait to come back and will definitely recommend to others. The food is just that damn gooooooooooooooood!!! Price is really good considering how tasty and tender the meat was. Definitely gotta try this place again.

Lunch time meal deal 9.95 for 2 course great value for money. Choice of 4 starters and 9 mains. I had the chicken cheese balls for my appetiser and the mac n cheese burger for my mains. Chessballs had a nice little kick of chilli to them.,and the burger was fresh juicy and flavoursome. The mac n cheese bits that came inside the burger I could sit there and eat them all day. Fab.
