After a long day at work I decided to have a meal out. I chose TGI Fridays because it was reasonably close and convenient. As I was seated, the waiter was very polite and made me relax immediately. His customer engagement skills were very good, understanding from only a few questions exactly what I wanted to order. Throughout the meal he was attentive and courteous, ensuring I had everything I needed. He also brought a sense of humour to my evening; something that was very welcome after a difficult day at work! Overall, his buoyant demeanour and his efficient service ensured I had a pleasurable experience at your restaurant. I will be returning! '

Went on valentine's Day, although it was packed we were served relatively quickly and the food was delicious. The June bug cocktail is really worth a try. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Called in randomly on Easter Saturday afternoon, place was busy but not too bad, we were sat, provided with menus and a orders taken quickly and efficiently and all was well, but then things went downhill, to drink my wife ordered the “Hendricks Signature Pour” Hendricks gin, lemonade and cucumber, the drink arrived with a slice of lime so questioned if it was the right drink and was told yes, absolutely, the bar just didn’t have cucumber but it was definitely the right drink, ok, fine, some people would consider lime in Hendricks a hanging offence but let’s leave that; off she went, wife tried the drink and it was gin & tonic… called the server over again but this time she wouldn’t even come to the table but muttered something about asking manager from a distance, finally came over took the drink away after arguing that we must have ordered the wrong drink, and then returned a little while later with the correct drink, including cucumber garnish… food was fine, tasty burger, wife was impressed with the veggie option, I wanted a second drink by this time but all serving staff had vanished into the ether… towards the end of the meal the girl that has been serving us passes out if uniform so obviously finished her shift but no one seemed to have taken over, eventually managed to flag someone down from the other side of the restaurant once he had finished flirting with a table full of women, asked for the bill but he was then sidelined by a table next to us who had been waiting 45 minutes for their meal so ran off to find that before returning to us to allow payment… very poor service, training, whatever this time around. Something that Fridays is usually spot on with from my past experience and somewhat marred this trip.

One of my favourite places to eat, great cocktails and good food. 4 stars because the last time we ate here my steak was so chewy I couldn't swallow it. They did give us a drink each on the house to compensate.

My partner and I recently visited THI Fridays at St David’s Centre, Cardiff. It was a Wednesday evening and just happened to be my birthday. It may be worth mentioning that we are both in our middle years (60’s). We didn’t have a booking, so had a drink at the bar whilst waiting for a table. 20 quid for two cocktails… ouch! The bar staff and waiters were ok and friendly enough but service was slow. Having waited 5 minutes or so to be served (we were the only 2 people sat at the bar) Another customer arrived at the bar and was served before us! An hour or so later, we had eaten our burgers… which were mediocre at best and we were ready to pay up and leave. TGI Fridays is part of a billion dollar company and paying customers should expect better service all round. Lastly, the music that is played at too loud a level to enjoy a decent conversation. Won’t be visiting again any time soon☹️

I ordered a chicken caeser salad which was meant to have garlic croutons and Italian cheese on top. Instead I had lots of iceberg lettuce leaves, a poppadom and no cheese! Disappointed as its quite expensive to be missing key ingredients. The staff were brilliant and very helpful just a shame about the food!

We were served our food around 45 minutes after ordering, and i had asked for my burger with no salad or sauce and it was brought to me with both on it. spoke to a shift leader and all she offered to do was fetch me a new bun. When our original server walked passed, she refilled our drinks without us having to ask then asked if everything was ok with our food. i told her the situation with my burger and instantly had a fresh burger made for me with extra fries too. Food not the best but our server was absolutely amazing. Her name was Fiona and she had blonde hair, she made our experience the best it could have been, also left her a £10 tip as i’ve never had such a pleasant server anywhere before. Give that girl a promotion!

Wanted to try something new to went to TGI Friday's for the first time. The meal I had of a burger, chips, and coleslaw was absolutely fantastic. Super hot, freshly prepared, well presented. I'll definitely be going back here soon!

To be fair Newport in Cardiff is the one of you want the TGI special feeling, I've now been to the st David's one twice and twice the service has been ordinary, no extra plates for share platters , no children cutlery with children's food, orders have been wrong twice, the staff did correct the issue straight away, and they where always polite and friendly. Food wise, it's average at best for what you spend, if you want a good burger you may as well go to burger king or McDs, at least you get a good burger the service doesn't matter.

Never been to a TFI Friday before so thought I'd give it a go. Was told there would be a 15 min wait so we decided to wait. Got given a machine that would buzz one a table became available. We sat at bar and ordered drinks and before we knew it the buzzer went off. Only regret was we had to sit upstairs as the atmosphere downstairs was amazing. All staff were super friendly and helpful and the food we had was superb. We both enjoyed our starters and mains. The steak I had was top quality. . Would recommend this place to anyone but it gets very busy.

We have been here a few times and it can b hit and miss. Staff r nice but not enough of them and I am the sort of person who appreciates being able to pay for a meal quickly and not waiting forever to order. The seating is impossible. I am average height but the tables r literally so high that I honestly need a booster seat!! It is a horrible experience to have something approaching shoulder height 2 eat off! The food is nice enough but limited. Soft drinks appear to b unlimited. Baby changing facilities and wheelchair toilets on 1st floor. Other toilets r upstairs. Lots of details that u could easily miss like pictures on the glass of the stairs. Nice pics on wall. The dark red however makes things dark. If it's someone's birthday they will sing to them.

Busy and bustling and did wait for seating but it was a Bank holiday weekend. Waitress very attentive and great hostess. We ordered burgers with lovely dressings not sure about the coleslaw and our son had kids pasta which he enjoyed. We were celebrating a birthday so we had birthday cake shakes and as I am not an ice cream fan opted for the fudge cake. Very noisy but it's vibrant with sports and celebrity clothing and film paraphernalia dotted around.

I do really enjoy going here, hadn't been in over 4 years and the place is much the same. Drink menus are always changing but from what I could see the food is still the same, great quality service where you can chat with the staff inbetween having your order taken they are extreamly friendly and on the ball with orders. Great food for a reasonable price, considering abit of the price is with the brand ofcourse but for the price you pay you get a very tasty and filling meal. Alcoholic beverages can be expensive so somtimes it's good to check the price, I was kind of shocked how much a double kraken and coke a cola cost on my recent visit. Good to go in big groups or just as a couple, great for kids and even if it's just small bites.

So my partner booked a table for a little birthday meal. He booked a table of 4 on the actual day 20/07/2021 one more member of my family wanted join... I rung up to see if I could change this reservation for an extra person but was told that I could but they would have to sit on another table, which I didn't want. So my partner then stayed home so my cousin could come. When getting there I found out that we could have had the extra seat on the table when there we looked around and there was hardly any one there so he defenatly could have come. The food was lovely bar the mac and cheese had no taste to it. Over all it was a nice night but was disappointed in the fact I had to leave someone behind and it wasn't very birthday friendly.

The service is very friendly but it’s incredibly slow, I’ve come more than once and each experience I have has been a ridiculous wait. There’s a long wait to be served, there’s a long wait for plates to be cleared, there’s a long wait to order dessert and there’s a long wait for the bill. It’s very frustrating when you have a train to catch home, the unexpected wait time has caused me to miss the train last time.

We visited a couple of months ago with our two young daughters, one of which has a dairy allergy. The manager and the young lady who was the waitress were great, going to check the ingredients of the dishes for us so that we could all eat together. Service was excellent, and everyone was polite. Limited review and I was disappointed Food limited (no burgers, no fish only chicken) Service poor (Covid means you can't get off your seat but the servers don't come around they all congregate by the bar and wait till the drink or food is ready. Place was well decorated, clean, service was very fast, professional and friendly. I ordered the 2 courses for £x.xx and decided upon the sirloin steak for £3 extra. My starter was a lemon chicken taco, that I personally did now enjoy, and gave to my SO, while she gave me her teryaki chicken which I loved! The steak was DELICIOUS, however small. And the 'Side Salad took up HALF THE PLATE. The sauce and bacon bits on the salad was nice though. SO had a burger and thoroughly enjoyed it. the food arrived very fast, hot and tasty, and we enjoyed our experience. The only cons were the obviously huge half lettuce on the plate, and the obnoxious table we were sat at, where the seats were at a regular height, but the table was so high, we had to raise our elbows up in line with our shoulders, to be able to eat off of it. Had there have been high seats to match, it wouldn't have been a problem. Pleasant experience nonetheless though.

The only reason I've given this three stars and not one is because 1). The service was outstanding, the waiters are so kind and friendly. And 2). The veggie burger (without Mayo) is lush. However, the warrior fries and boneless chicken wings were atrocious. They used the same sauce on both and god were they terrible, instead they should have put the sauce on the side so if you did want it you could put it on yourself. Just the smell of it was nauseating which was pretty sad as I've been dying to come here for a long and and when I did, I absolutely hated it.

I've been to a couple of different TGI Fridays before and this one is the best one I've been too. The staff were plentiful, helpful and well up for joining in on some of the banter. One member of our group had allergies and this was handled professional. The food was got to us in reasonable time and it was to a good quality. There was a wait for us to get a table but there was ample space at the bar for us to have a drink.

Summary: just about acceptable, but wouldn't return. So much was wrong with this experience, and, at prices which will buy good food and service elsewhere, it's a victory of marketing over delivery. The table took much longer than we had been told although many were empty. The server who we were told would come over in a minute, was about 15 minutes - it was 30 minutes from arrival before our order was taken. I asked if I could have the shrimp jambalaya without spring onions (all onions make me ill), and the server said no problem at all. She then delivered ''jambalaya' complete with spring onions. When it came back it was just about warm. In any event, it bore no resemblance to any jambalaya I have eaten in US or elsewhere. Instead of being a mixture of rice, vegetables and the meat or fish cooked with a seasoned broth, all items were separate on the plate and very dry except for a drizzle of some dressing type sauce. The large pieces of vegetables were barely charred, and raw aubergine is an acquired taste. The meal was not disgusting, but not enjoyable either. My daughter asked for a decaff tea or a fruit tea after her meal - none were available, apparently they had forgotten to order. Some of our party of 4 enjoyed the food more than I did, none wanted to return.

The staff here were absolutely amazing they made sure my daughter was safe contacted the ambulance service and kept her friends calm during this time. Came here Saturday evening for my friends 21st birthday was absolutely blown away! Food was served quickly and tasted great, as a vegetarian I'm used to not having a lot of choice in restaurants but was pleasantly surprised. We had a good few cocktails and they all tasted amazing, and to top it off our server Roxanne was completely amazing! She gave drink recommendations, pleasant conversation and witty banter. Will definitely be coming back here!

Came here a few weeks ago on a weekend without booking. We were seated quickly and were asked promptly about what drinks we would like. Within five minutes we were asked again what we would like to order and we hadn’t made up our mind. Litrally 5 minutes later we were asked again.. and we still hadn’t made up our mind. The waiter was very patient but I couldn’t help but feel we were being rushed and had no choice but to hurry up and order. Anyhow the food was very average and very expensive. I ordered the Cajun pasta and was extremely dry. It was dry to the point I didn’t get half way through it without thinking ‘I could of made this myself for a fraction of the price’. Kids ate and enjoyed there food. My sister enjoyed her food but again didn’t eat it all. Won’t be my first choice when I decide to visit Cardiff city centre and won’t be going there again in a hurry.

TGI's do amazing food. I love the legendary ribs with the Jack Daniel's sauce. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was only a small wait of about 20 minutes from ordering to drinks arriving. The thing stopping TGI's from getting 5 stars is that it can be expensive, particularly the drinks. But great for a rare treat when there is money, which is not often.

My favourite. Very broad menu. Vegetarian and vegan options too. Prices vary or course but are generally fairly high but worth it in my opinion. They do *Not* take tastecard as a discount but have some more affordable set menus at times. Love this place. I reccommend. Staff are friendly and helpful and will adapt for requirements to satisfy your needs. I also reccomend the cocktails as they are delicious and not too pricey as a treat. Amazing!

Unfortunately not somewhere I would go too often as I feel it's a little expensive, but great to go for a treat or occasion such as a birthday. Food was delicious as always, but it's more the servers that kind of let it down. Despite our waiter having "the charm" he ignored my first question about using the app which meant we couldn't use it to pay (he said he'd find out then never came back to us about it) and then when we were done, didn't really want to give us the bill, more trying to hard sell the desserts. I know it's their job but, I think the original ignorance at the start set us off and every time we've been to this one, staff seem more hell bent on flirting with each other than working. But hey, the food still rocks.

I've only recently experienced my first ever TGI'S!! I was very impressed to say the least. The portions are of a very good size, and the food for fresh of the cooker and straight to our table. The staff were always on hand for anything you needed, and were very warm and friendly. I was also impressed with the decoration of TGI'S (I'm quite geeky like that) I was so impressed with the food and waiting service, that I've managed to get my boss to take the work force there for our Christmas party. This place is pretty rad. The waitressing staff is attentive and kind. They always have a smile on their faces, always makes sure my drink is refilled and food comes out on time and piping hot. They are awesome. God bless TGI Friday's At St David's.

Well, our visit here was superb. We were visiting St.David's Hall for an evening concert and arrived early so stumbled across this restaurant whilst killing time. It wasn't overly busy but it was 4pm. We were served by a pleasant young lady...Hayley, who was a credit to the restaurant. She made our visit there that much more enjoyable with flowing conversation, making sure we were ok and checking our food was to our satisfaction, of which it was fabulous. Well done TGI's and don't lose Hayley, she's worth her weight in gold as they won't come any better. Thank you for a wonderful meal and experience.

Had a day of shopping at St David's, Cardiff.. For dinner we decided TGI's. Staff nice, on walking in, asked for table, 20 minutes wait, great. Sat at the bar with drinks.. Electronic device lit up, table ready. There was hiccup whilst walking to table, proper procedures were followed, but shouldn't have happened. Maybe a bit sore and have a bruise in the morning. Waitress, went off to get cutlery. Sat at table for a bit, looked at menu. Waited a bit more. Order taken, ordered more drinks. Food arrived. Still no cutlery..so we waited..about 4 minutes which ain't that long, but when you can see your food, and your hungry. 🤤. And it should have been put on table i reckon on sitting down. Food was good. My son's order was not quite right, was rectified and not charged for item. Ordered more drinks, took a good 10 minutes. I say that like it's a long time, but there were like three tables eating. TGI's been established a long time.. On the whole, slow service. Not the worst dining experience, but not the best either. It is afterall a fast food place with memorabilia on the walls.

Omg! Whats happened to tgi fridays, this used to be my favourite restaurant of all time. The menu is blah.... what happened to sides of coleslaw and onion rings with the dish and not as an extra, no coconut milkshake. Very upsetting and poor standards of food. I had the chicken fajitas this time, ok PROCESSED chicken breast!! Are you serious! Not only that it was extrmely tasteless. The cocktails are ok, though pouring a single drink over a whole glass of crushed ice, does not make my £10 drink nice!! Makes me wonder who puts the food and drinks menu together. To be honest it feels like going to mc donalds, except you know what to expect from them and i left feeling i would of prefered it. Thats saying something as i do not eat mcdonalds!
