F.Very very traditional feeling British pub which is rather to my like a variety of different spaces within the nine Giants hotel which allows for very diverse and different groups of pub goers to be accommodated for the food is nice and nicely presented. the staff is polite and and and were in good humour when we were there. My big take away from the 1990s both are the outdoor seating areas which are plentiful well equipped and many of them are even sheltered by permanent rooms rather than the flimsy umbrellas. a very nice pub

Had a friendly welcome tonight and thoroughly enjoyed the food.
Would have given 5 star but disabled facilities awkward and could be fresher. Will be back.

A. M.Great beer garden for families and friendly service . OK pub food, let down as usual by low quality chips which is standard for this kind of pub. I understand the economics of serving chips cooked from frozen catering packs, but it's really disappointing. A pub that serves hand peeled and cut chips, is a pub for life!
Most disappointing was the beer. Really poor selection, comprised mostly of the usual high street faces, eg. Carling, Stella, Worthington, etc. Doom Bar on cask, which is deeply depressing.
F. T. s.There's alot to recommend about the food plenty of it good quality, reasonable price. The problem is half the things that were on the menu weren't available. we did come in 2 days after bank holiday which may be why they were out of stock but it was a bit annoying not to know what was and was not available. Lots of parking spaces and easy to get too which are both big pluses the only other thing is the beer selection nothing local just standard larger and strongbow and with so many other selections nowadays you'd think there would atleast be a decent cider or beer.

A. W.Fantastic service today.... staff were very busy but made time to chat with customers. Food was lovely and well priced. During our visit I saw a child on a different table spill there drink and get quite upset. The way the female employee handled it all was impressive she was quick to clean it up, calmed the child down with a friendly chat about dancing and got here a replacement drink. I think she was a manager as she was smartly dressed in non company clothing.

M. P.Went here a couple of weeks ago and again yesterday the pub has a large free car park, outside seating areas and is set off the main road so has a more schueled feel. Inside is quite modern looking and clean, there is friendly service and a good selection of drinks and food. The wait for food is quick and is tasty and good portion sizes. I had the American platter which I enjoyed the bbq sause was a bit different and tasty there is a darts board, and for children a grabber machine and some £1 toy machines. Children are allowed in till 9pm. There is disabled access and restroom, baby changing, restrooms and a smoking area.

I had a mega mixed grill for just over £11 and it was some of the best cuts of meat I've had in a pub, no fat on the meat and what looked like the best cuts they could find, the size of it was massive and would have been easy over £17 elsewhere, I'm going to make it a regular of mine from now on.

Really commendable safety measures in place even if they are a pain to staff & customers alike. Food & draught ale great, as well as service. D. A.Lush! The grounds are well looked after. It's nice and clean in there (kitchen was to). Ordered our food and the first thing the young lady asked was about allergies and stuff (impressed me) didn't take long for food to come, and what a tasty meal it was. Ate all of it. Very cheap, 2 people ate for under 20 quid with a drink. Will be back for sure. 10/10 keep it up : )

H. J.We were so lucky to have a table for 7 adults and a child without booking at 7pm Saturday night. The service was prompt and even though we had to wait half an hour + for the food it was well worth the wait.

They placed Ballons and banners up that I had brought in prior. Food was superb that’s why we came again this evening. They brought out the birthday cakes and make a real fuss on both occasions. N. K.Came here as a kid to climb the trees and give my parents 5 minutes of peace to have a pint. It's still pretty good though. Decent parking, food and the type of carpet that is standard for a pub in the UK.
C. W.Part of the Sizzling chain of pubs/restaurants, The Nine Giants is a well maintained establishment with a nice interior as well as a lovely open beer garden area. The atmosphere is more informal where you find yourself a table as opposed to waiting to be seated and you place your food order at the bar, giving your table number while doing so.
The menu is pretty typical of this kind of place with prices that tend toward the more economical but a nice variety of dishes nonetheless. The food here is decent for the price, I had the Stilton and Mushroom Chicken which was tasty and very filling and a side of Mac and Cheese that was better than I've had elsewhere. However, my partner had the Sirloin Steak and found it to be quite fatty and generally a bad cut of beef although the staff did take it off the bill when we brought it to their attention. Also they didn't have my first two choices of starter which, while not ruining the night, was surprising considering we were not there on a busy night of the week.
Overall a mostly pleasant experience and definitely worth a look if you're dining on a budget. Despite a few minor issues I would happily eat here again.

Instantly greeted by lovely bar lady, we found a table, and I used baby changing facilities, which were immaculate. We then ordered our food and asked for some colourings, the manger instantly got my children some pictures and crayons. Food was hot and delicious, waiting time was fab, and our plates cleared by Beth who was really happy and polite, even went on to have deserts, which were also delicious. Lovely relaxed atmosphere with nothing being a problem, just what I needed for a Mum with 3 busy boys. Thanks 9 giants staff, we will be back :)
M. B.Slightly cheaper compared to other sizzler pub/restaurants. Service was quick even though it was quite busy. Only complaint was the food I ordered for my main was thick pastry on a pie and was quite hard to swallow even with gravy. Next time I'll order something different
N. S.Needs a bit more of a warm welcome.. Early evening drinks and food. You get the impression from the staff that they will probably not see you again and therefore bit too cold and no real smiles. The food was average and chips poor compared to other eateries. Not too bad priced for drinks i suppose and beer choice poor. OK for lager drinkers.
It does seem to me that the brewery owners put in trainees and move them on as sure seen 3 or 4 different tenancies in over a couple of years.
Pub is excellent for a drink outside in the summer letting the kids run around.

B. M.The Nine Giants is an excellent adventure with tasty food and kind staff for an affordable price. They have even adopted a system of red lights where outside patrons carry a red light that flashes when their order is finished. The staff take it to the door where members from the table take it. This saves time rather than staff wandering around asking who ordered a steak. I’ve only experienced one bad service here but the building was understaffed during a stampede of hungry patrons. I will be returning.
A. D.The woman waiting tables at 1.30pm on the 17th feb deserves a promotion, never have i seen anyone wait on customers clean down tables and with such a positive attitude in all my life. The food was absolutely lovely, the only down side to my meal was the radiatior by my table (table 2) was all the way up and there was no way to turn it down, a part from that excellent service and food👌

Really quiet but a long wait for food! When it did arrive the sizzle plate did not sizzle and food really wasn't worth the wait. No warning about the wait when ordering, however people coming in after were told this information. No apologies about the 45 minute wait, nobody asked how our meals were. Really disappointed!

Revisited on 23rd of September and is now under new management and I can honestly say it's changed for the better , better food better moral amongst staff and an overall better experience keep it and I shall continue visiting .

After the 1st pint, true enough, I saw 9 giants, after the 2nd I began to see 18 dwarfs, the 3rd- 36 midgets, the 4th- 72 leprechauns, the 5th- 144 pixies, the 6th- 288 elfs, then after spotting 576 fairies I realised it was time to ring for a 'DRAGON' to take me home! Lol
