h.Absolutely brilliant customer service and 10/10 food moved to cardiff as a student, Naz and the guys always take care of me when I go in to the shop. Always make me feel like family food is always fresh and served with a smile. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Living the student life I am here quite a lot. The guys treat me like family big shout out to the Victoria staff. Definitely a go to spot. If you love fish and chips, they are the best in wales so try for yourself!
R. R.I have been a patron of "The Vicky" for 45yrs. Gail&Demetri had it back in the day,with Demitris mother being a big part of the shop!?! It was the best in Cardiff, the awards say it all. I had pie & chips from there last night, and was very happy with the service & quality. My name is Howard Williams, but I have Ruth Royals old phone and don't know how to change it! H.Thank you for contributing in the society by providing free meals for homeless people on this Christmas. Glad to see this generosity from a business, specially these days where all companies are slashing down their staff and spendings etc. Respect.
D. w.Great food at low prices but they have some questionable business practices and con the customer, ask them for lots of sauce on your burger or kebab and you'll have a tiny speck that settles to the bottom leaving the food really dry, same thing with how much kebab meat they'll give you sometimes, seems to be hit or miss but this is especially true when "bossman" is serving or overlooking. They also now don't tell you what you are entitled to under their own meal deals. If you order a burger meal you are entitled to a free drink, but they conveniently don't tell you this. I don't understand why they do this as the few pence more that more sauce or kebab meat costs is a much lighter penalty that loosing £25 or so every time the customer doesn't come back because of poor customer satisfaction.

The people are always friendly, offering kids a lollipop, it's a good price and of the many many meals had here never been ill once!
The burgers and nuggets are kids favourite freshly made to order you can .call them and they will have it ready when you arrive.
Also recommend steak pie, it has actual meat in it lol
Parking is a nightmare though so don't try it if you only passed your driving test haha

G.To be fair I’ve not eaten at your fish bar because I live over an hour away, but having just read on the news that you are opening to feed the homeless on Christmas Day I felt that celebrating your generosity was the least I could do. Your kindness will not only put a warm meal inside those who might be feeling vulnerable at this time of joy and celebration but it will also go a long way to restoring their, and my, faith in the goodness of people. Society needs more selfless people like you. I hope you get time to enjoy time with your own families. When I am celebrating with my family I will think of you and those you are serving. M.A request was put out on Christmas day to help the team feed vulnerable adults. All I can say is this group of gentlemen have restored my faith in humanity. A total of 1000 meals made with no money asked for at all. The owner and his son were extremely greatful for my help which was shown. I certainly will be supporting these heros from now on. Everyone however should frequent your shop if only to thank you for your fabulous idea to feed the homeless for free on Christmas Day. However, I just read on BBC News about their plans to open on Christmas Day to offer food to for the homeless, elderly and vulnerable. I just wanted to acknowledge their generosity of spirit in wanting to give back to their community at what can be a very difficult and sad time for many people. What absolute stars they are :-)

S. Y. G.Friendly staff. Some things cooked too early and therefore dried out on occasions. I had soggy twice cooked chips which were inedible on my last visit and my Chicken was put in the microwave and the fat without being asked what I would like.
Quality is going down. Should take some examples from the Five Star in Llandaff North.

J. P.They are open when other fish bars are closed, including Sundays til 9pm. Good selection of pies, fish and everything else that a chippy does, they even have kebabs, which I've heared a delicious, though I've not tried them myself.
