Very impressed with the quality and choice of food. Topped off with excellent customer service. We had a really nice time would highly recommend. In the pictures are the pulled chicken Nacho mex starter, and rotisserie chicken for the mains. This restaurant is now probably one of my favourites in Cardiff, and I have tried many!

Mexico meets India, very good fusion food. Looking at the portion sizes, prices were on the higher side. Suggestion to restaurant: it would have been better if there was an option to customise the spice levels, dishes were not spicy at all for an Indian-Mexican fusion restaurant.

We popped in for lunch and were blown away. The combination of Mexican and Indian worked better than I could’ve imagined. I had the beef madras burrito (see photos) and my friend had the tandoori chicken burrito. Both were sublime. Highly recommend, we’ll definitely be returning!

Absolutely delicious! The fusion of Indian and Mexican cuisines works so well. I would only suggest to change the buns on the burgers as they're too doughy. Perhaps try brioche bun. Will be back to try more from the menu.

Great vibe, good decor and - most importantly - AMAZING FOOD!! The staff were very attentive and were happy to go the extra mile for us. It's really no wonder they're rated so highly - it's very well deserved 😊 We had the chicken 65 tacos, veg quesidillas, patatas bravas (beautifully done!!) and the paneer chimichangas - everything was so flavourful and I can't fault any of them 👍 Highly recommend this place to visitors! It's worth the walk from the city if you're only in Cardiff for the day 😁

Staff were very welcoming and friendly. The quality, presentation and quantity of food was great. The smoked pulled Tandoori chicken Burrito was full of shredded chicken and it had a really authentic smoked taste. The tandoori spiced chicken Enchilada was also full of chunky chicken, the Dal Makhani and rich tomato sauce with cheese sprinkles really made the dish unique and delicious. Also liked the Mexican graffiti on the walls and umbrella lighting. Will definitely be going again and highly recommend.

Went with two friends. One friend had been ordering from them a lot on deliveroo recently and had always said how amazing the food was so we thought we'd go and try out the actual restaurant. We were not disappointed! It was quiet when we got there but soon got busier. The food was lovely and the flavours were fab. I had a burrito that was a lil spicey but still yummy (but I'm a wimp with spice anyway!). I enjoyed the cocktail I had and the staff were lovely an accomdating by offering my friend a mixer when his cocktail was too strong. Will definitely be going back! 😁

Me and my partner went here in August, I was a bit hesitant at first as I’m a fussy eater but the food was absolutely lovely. The butter chicken curry was the nicest curry I’ve ever had, the chips have this seasoning on which the waitress said is home made and was really tasty, the decor is really nice and well done and the waitress was lovely also. We are considering going back to Cardiff just for this restaurant, it was that nice.

Outstanding food and top quality service! The heroes took a large order at short notice from a hungry radiology department at the hospital .. and smashed it! The food was sublime, well prepared, bagged with labels and helped out to the car by the chef and front of house who couldn't have been more appreciative for the custom. This place is a hidden gem!! I'm so glad my friend found this for our trip to Cardiff. Vikram and his team gave us amazing service and the food was a absolutely delicious - Indo-Mexican fusion!! We were all vegetarians, a few Vegans and one with special dietary requirements, the restaurant catered for us really well and we were all over the moon with our 3 course party menu. The restaurant it self is quite quirky it's was warm and welcoming. I would highly recommend this place, definitely worth a visit. Thank you Vikram for your wonderful service.

Don't let the gimmicky name put you off, this Indian Mexican fusion really does work. Pulled Madras beef, dhansak enchilada, etc. It all tastes great and is a hit with all the family. Very good!

The food was delicious, everything about the meal was perfect. The staff were very nice, and the atmosphere was lovely. After a minor timing problem with one of the starters, the chef was quick to sort out the issue and even gave us a complimentary side. Food was really nice. Service not so great. Edit: The young lady serving us forgot to bring out 2 of our drinks (table of 4) after ordering them and then having to request them again 5-10 mins later. Had to walk up to the bar on the third time to get them. Not sure if the young lady who served us was new or something as it was a bit of a point at the menu and repeat your order situation and she seemed very unaware of how to approach customers. E.g. One of the party asked to just have a look at the dessert menu, she brought it out and then stood there looking at them waiting for a decision instantly. Same thing happened when we asked for the bill, brought it over and expected payment the second the receipt hit the table. It just made these situations a bit awkward and pressured. None of it was a massive issue and food definitely made up for it so still left a tip. But the 2 girls working only had about 3 other tables so wasn’t busy and clearly the one of them serving us wasn’t told the basics of her job and I’m sure a quick bit of advice would help her out. Added another star for responding 👍🏼

Honestly the nicest meal I’ve had in a long time. Starters and mains were all incredible my partner and I were arguing about which dish we liked most! Our server was also lovely. Not one to leave reviews but this was so worth it honestly can’t recommend enough!!

This restaurant was recommended to us by a friend. On our night I would say the restaurant was roughly half full. We turned up and it took 10 minutes before we were even asked if we wanted a drink. There is a wide range of drinks and the food we has was good. However unfortunately the service was very slow. We were in there for an hour and a half for two courses (party of 3). We waited 30/40 mins for our mains after appetisers (which we probably endured the same wait for), which was ironic as our waitress asked if we were ready for our mains after she cleared our appetisers. It is a shame as the food in the end was good. Looking at the other reviews this seems to be a very ‘out of character’ thing for the place so assuming maybe they were understaffed.

We visited last night, looking for somewhere new to try. We were skeptical of fusion foods generally but this really works!. We has nachos with pulled chicken to start, beef and vegetarian enchiladas for our mains. All tasted great, just the right amount of spice and so fresh. Not a scrap was left despite the portions being generous. Finished with a couple of Irish coffees and the Mexican delight desert to share (churros and mini doughnuts). All great, all good value. Service was relaxed and friendly which matches the overall ambience. We'll be back!

Ate here for the first time today and the food was absolutely delicious! The fusion of Indian and Mexican cuisine worked really well. I could've happily ordered everything on the menu. Prices were spot on and I left with my stomach feeling more than satisfied (I even got to take what I couldn't quite manage home with me in a little box!). Was very impressed with my first visit here. Food was as outstanding, full of flavor, hot and good portion sizes and value for money, very reasonably priced! Went as a lunch date with my partner at 2PM only ones there then it started filling up. I feel like it is a hidden gem, and they potentially could do amazing in the future, with expanding to the centre of the city We ordered a few starters as we just couldn't choose. The beef madras nachos were the best nachos I have ever tasted, and the tandoori empanadas were amazing too. We also had halloumi fries, spicy chicken tenders.😂myy partner had the butter chicken curry with fries rice and naan. The flavor was like nothing I've ever tasted was so unique to me. I had the beef madras burger🤩was so juicy and cooked to perfection, with I think they were cajun fries and mayo. All of it was delicious. We both thought it was 10/10. Only thing that was they didn't have any chicken wings ready for service which are my favorite food to eat😂 but apart from that no faults. Friendly smiling service. Thank you😊 will definitely be returning 👌 only took videos wish I took pictures!!

Three stars is generous, since we placed an advance order at 4.30pm for a 7pm delivery and it was still 40 minutes late. So the food was getting cold and the cheese was congealed, and it was all generally rather unappetising. I'm not entirely convinced that the fusion works, but would need to try is again when the food is fresh and hot. As it was we were really hungry and rather annoyed so not in the right frame of mind to enjoy it.

Ordered from uber , having never tried before. To be honest, I was expecting the "good enough" standard of most take-aways (though know it is dine-in too). I was blown away by the quality and obvious care that goes into their products. I'm from Chilean background and have never had such authentic empanadas outside of my parent's house! Wow. Great food, great atmosphere, and even better service, and this was takeaway! The burrito is nice and hefty and so delicious. It tasted buttery, the tortilla so soft, the rice a nice bite, the chicken mwah! The empanadas were nice and crisp and the beef so gorgeously seasoned and generous. The churros (I wanted more than three but I'm greedy 😅 but the three was nice and filling) were crisp even eaten cold, just beautiful. Thank you, Vivo Amigo, for such a tasty fusion. Excellent fusion food with recyclable packaging, a cool and classy interior and lovely service. We ordered plenty from Vivo and were thoroughly impressed with the quality of the food and portion size throughout. We also ordered a kids meal as one of the party didn't like Indian flavours which they and any child would love what we got in the box. We will be visiting Vivo's again and look forward to try the entire menu.

After passing Vivo Amigo too many times, I finally decided I was going to try it out. The combo of Mexican and Indian was just something I HAD to experience We started with the "DIY Nachos" with "Paneer Butter Masala". Seasoned nachos covered in cheese, sour cream, guac & salsa! I was with my mother who is a 'plant based' foodie otherwise I wouldve definitely had the smoked pulled tandori chicken 🥲 For the main, a beautifully put together "Crispy Fried Tandoori Chicken Burger" the chicken was smothered in a beautiful harissa ranch dressing and covered in cheese! My mother had the "Bombay Vada Pav", a veggie friendly burger that was made up of spicy potatoes, cheese and more of the magical harissa dressing! To end a fantastic meal, the owner slipped us a little treat as we were celebrating my mother's birthday! A deliciously dreamy lime & tequila surprise! This wasn't on the official menu yet but it was almost like a cheesecake topped with a berry compote! I'm so glad I finally got down to Vivo Amigo, the atmosphere was fantastic and the food even better! I'll definitely be back!
