T. A. h.The Service and Ambience is the real draw for this venue. I've always liked the large open tables and quick ordering and payment on the App. The food is usually very tasty fusion food at reasonable prices. However its clear that wagamama is suffering from food price hikes as the plated offering is rather sparce nowadays. I had the spicy vegan short rib in an udon broth which was disappointing. The broth was tasty but there were too many udon noodles and not enough veggies. The protein substitute was not to my liking.
My friend ordered the yaki udon noodle dish with prawns and chicken. We noticed straightaway that there was only 1 prawn in the dish and mentioned it to a server. In fairness to them, they apologised, offered to cook it again or just provide more prawns, and also offered a free dessert. Three different servers came to check all was well and were very friendly and helpful. The front of house manager was lovely as well.
I probably won't go back to wagamamas because I don't like the vegetarian options but for most people, it probably represents good value for money in a nice environment and the food is not too challenging. Recommended.
R. W.An absolute must if you're in Cardiff! We waited 10 minutes for a seat and it was well worth it. Friendly staff, delicious food of good proportions and you can pay by card via QR code at the table, so no waiting for the bill. Just eat and go! 🙂👍
p. p.Pls go this place for your dinner. It’s lovely and amazing food. I very enjoy it. Good services and nice staff. Very friendly and helpful. Food is amazing and much better than I expected. Drink also good and payment also easy. Place is clean and lot of table. You can sit inside or outside. Height recommended.
B. J.LOVE Wagamamas and their vegan options. I tried the vegan chicken bao buns and the vegan steak ramen - both delicious. They were busy and understaffed but let us know, which was fine - the atmosphere is nice so we were in no rush. If you do go during a peak time there may be a queue, but we only waited 20 minutes - worth it

Once seated we were served our food fairly quickly, but were waiting ages for our drinks to arrive which was a shame. Food was delicious as always, with great veggie options! We agreed it's not the best katsu curry she had and my ramen was a bit too bland for my taste ;) It's a shame cause I wanted this ramen so badly... J. M.Few weeks back me and my partner had Wagamama for the first time and it completely blew us away. The mixed mushroom buns being our absolute favourite. The vegan katsu curry was very tasty, their vegan game is in general very strong. Definitely recommend!

T. H.Solid ramen place in Cardiff but a bit commercialized. Food comes quickly and dependent on what you order comes out at different times. Soup comes in a fair size; the pan fried udon is a bit smaller in size. Staff is friendly and decor is nice. Seating can become a bit intimate with others.

The staff is incredibly friendly and talktative, they introduce you to their menu and answer all questions you might have.
Though we specifically ordered starters, my friend received her main dish first and later on had her miso soup forgotten. After a quick notice, everything went fine, the food was a little pricey, though it did come hot and appealing to the eye. It sure is something different compared to "usual" Asian food, but make sure to give it a try.
When we were asked whether we would like a bill, replying with a yes, the waitress came up with the card reader right away. I do not know if cash payment is possible, as we were not even asked and I had to quickly grab my card, which I usually only use for emergencies.
All in all, tasty food that might go a little cheaper, clean environment and friendly staff.

I ordered a teriyaki sirloin steak soba with some duck gyoza. The food tastes excellent; I have no complaints what so ever about them.
The staff are happy to help with any queries that you may have, but they take orders relatively quickly so be sure to decide what you want to eat quite fast.
Overall, I will be coming back again for another meal as I thoroughly enjoyed my first one here.

My curry arrived, but with no cutlery, no drinks. Food went cold and we requested cutlery twice. It was replaced with a fresh meal & free drinks thankfully.
Imo, the food is overpriced for what predominantly is heavy on the vegetable; based meals.

A. G.Love love wagamama, been to a lot over the years, but was disappointed with my visit in Cardiff, the food amazing but the service let it down. Feel they were more interested in getting their takeaway food organised rather than their staff. In the end paid our bill via an app as no-one came back to us after our meal was given to us. We did want to order a dessert but in the end left and don't think anybody noticed 😞Also went to the toilet and the floor from the kitchen and up the stairs were very greasy not clean at all, overall disappointed and will not be rushing back.

I. J.Absolutely phenomenal! Superb service. As a nut allergy sufferer I was served by the manager (company policy) Will, who personally went through my order checking for allergens and the like. He then assured me that only he would serve my table and only the Head Chef would cook the food (also company policy). This was all done to ensure safety and quality of the food.
The quality by the way was exceptional. Will be coming again! Can’t recomend highly enough!

M. H.During the Covid pandemic we have had a number of deliveries from Wagamama, usually the standard is very high. The delivery time is pretty fast.
This evening however, my wife and daughter were not too impressed with their meal, they both had Pad Thai Yasai with Tofu and Veg.
My daughter's noodles were about 50% beansprouts, and my wife's meal had just 2 pieces of Tofu. Also, the extra pots of Amai sauce had burst open and soaked through the bottom of the bag.

J. H.A great place for a quick lunch, service is very good and the portion sizes are decent - if not a bit big for lunch. Great variety on the menu. Everything is cooked fresh so some things take longer than others, but it's worth it!

F.Me and my wife had lovely experience on a busy wednesday night. I have ordered a grilled duck and my wife chicken Katsu. Both were nice, lovely taste. The atmosphere was a good vibe, Szabi the waiter was just perfect, smiling attentive and very helpful when my wife asked few question about the menu. I highly recommend and definately we be back.
V.Had a takeaway and boy, it was great. Ready to collect at the time arranged. Was well packaged and was at a perfect temperature when we unpacked and served it 30 minutes later. Yum. 😋
J. A.A good take on the Asian cuisine served by very friendly staff. The food is not very spicy which suits the local palate. The food prepared fresh, directly after your order, and fast enough. Seating in this restaurant is has an indoor/outdoor feel to it since they open the whole facade when the weather permit it which gives some casual sense to it. The only thing I can pick on is the authenticity of the food which is not a major issue. It is one of the main parts I frequently go to in Cardiff.

Wagamama is a place my granddaughter introduced me to and ever since I am a fan. The food is all freshly cooked for you and whatever you choose I am sure it will be great, my favourite, Chilli squid followed by grilled duck donburi and a pint of Asahi beer.

R.I’m going to have to give this three stars because the last time I went there the waiter was very patronising and proceeded to give me an actual lecture saying how if I wanted rich broth on my ramen he couldnt write no veg on the ticket. It was actually quite terrible advice and I have my suspicions as the gentleman east European and I am transgender it could have been due to that. However I have had many other good experiences there so I’m giving this three stars due to last good services . The food is excellent but expensive for a high street restaurant.

I have spent at least 5k per year (for the last 5 years) eating at wagamama and I frankly expect better.
Why do you expect everyone to order via deliveroo? What if we don't want to use deliveroo? What if we don't have a smart phone? What is wrong with good old phone orders or direct web orders?
Please sort this out wagamama as I have much higher expectations off you. Gosh, if somebody who loves your food and has spent a considerable amount in your restaurants feels like this, then there is something wrong.
I'll be back when you give me another ordering option and not just a naff third party food app.

You can have a group of people coming in, but every dish will be brought out a t a different time- so you end up with half of the party finishing their food and the other half waiting for theirs.

P. P.I love this place!! Go on your own or in a group, dont worry if your friends/family are meat lovers or vegeterian, if anyone has dietary requirement like vegan or gluten free, or if you are going with kids - Wagamama has got a menu for all.
