T. D.Very impressed by this lovely cafe. Food was delicious and it is clear how much thought and care had been put into each dish. Service was very friendly and considerate. Great to hear about the social and ethical goals that drive them and happy to have been able to visit and support.
K. H.Lauren, Becky, Anna and the team catered our wedding and it was absolute perfection. From the initial contact to meeting to discuss our ideas with the chef and Becky’s wonderful menu proposals, to the delivery and set up on the day, we couldn’t have imagined a better experience. The food from Wild Thing is simply delicious and innovative, all the little thoughtful touches and presentation were beautiful and the cake was one of the best we ever had. Every guest commented on how delicious everything was and we had so much food to last us all day and night, plus plenty for the following days and for doggie bags for our guests. The price was certainly far more reasonable than we would find elsewhere, not that we wanted to look elsewhere, as we knew from the first contact that these were the people who we wanted to cater our wedding. The catering was for 15 people and the photos below don’t even show all of the food, there was a whole other table full of entirely delicious, creative and beautiful food. Thank you so much for making our wedding extra special!

S. D.Oh. My. Gosh. What an amazing place! The atmosphere is hip and laid back, a real Earth-conscious hippie vibe. There are plants everywhere, the decor is eclectic and funky, and the staff are friendly and laid back. The food is incredible! It's all home made and plant based. It's absolutely beautiful! So tasty and felt great to be supporting such a wonderful local business. Great food, great coffee, great desserts, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

J. w.Brilliant vegan cafe!!! Yes the place is a bit grungy but the food is tasty and the staff are lovely. We loved how engaged with the community the cafe is and it was brilliant to see people dropping off their produce. The coffee is also better than it needs to be and there are good gluten free options.

Lovely friendly staff too who even introduced us to a newly created tahini/salted caramel coffee combo (which was also anmazing!). We will certainly be making regular trips to visit Wild Thing. C.A lovely atmosphere with friendly staff and delicious grub - the only issue was that we were brought the wrong food and whilst the menu stated “pay as you please” we ended up being charged £24 when we went to pay!! This wasn’t too far off what we were intending to pay anyway, however it felt a little cheeky considering we hadn’t actually been given what we expected.

S.Enjoyed the Wild Bowl which was filling and delicious. Loved the Beetroot hot Chocolate with the wonderful scent from the rose petals that were on top of the drink. The food is well presented. Lauren the owner has a passion in what she does.
The plates, cups and bowls have a rustic homemade look and feel to it.
It's a unique experience coming to the Wild thing! Next on my list is either the Golden or the Lavender latte and one of the cakes.

It was great to be here. Enjoyed the oat pancakes and soup which were both pay as you feel. I liked the lime water which was quite refreshing.
My friends enjoyed the pancakes too and one ordered the chocolate & hemp smoothy and enjoyed it.
Only 2 items on the menu is pay as you feel the soup and the pan cake of the day.
Not seen a pay as you feel food place in the UK though I went to many in Copenhagen Denmark. I love the concept.
I'll definitely come again to try out their interesting hot drinks: hot beetroot chocolate, golden latte, lavender latte?! Wow.

m. p.Personal, friendly service. The atmosphere is wholesome and welcoming with lots of plants and artwork to admire. Great range of beautiful homemade vegan cakes and speciality drinks. I had the GF blueberry oat pancakes with some hot lavender oat milk to drink, it was perfect.
l. m.We visited this lovely Plant Based Cafe yesterday, before I start, the only reason I'm giving 4 and not 5 stars is due to lack of choice for our children. The menu was very small but what we did have was beautiful and the service was fab. The ladies working there were lovely and very accommodating. I would definitely recommend a visit here and will will definatley return next time we're in Cardiff.

S. A.Went to Wild Thing for breakfast today. Their early breakfast, served until 10am is a choice of Porridge, Sourdough Toast or banana bread with a choice of Walnut or Peanut butter spread and Tea or Coffee. Great venue, very friendly and informative staff. A must for anyone unsure of vegan cafes. These guys know what they're doing. Don't forget to buy a suspended coffee for someone in need.
A. S.I had brunch at Wild Thing today and the experience was wonderful. The food is healthy, tasty and beautifully presented. They also have gluten free options. The prices were reasonable, and the staff was very kind and helpful. It was obvious that they put a lot of care and effort on their food. It is a pity I cannot visit again as I do not live in Cardiff!!
M. F.First of all the coffee is as good as anywhere in Cardiff. It’s up there with Hard Lines, Lufkin, Quantum and Uncommon Ground. The food is exceptional and all freshly cooked. If you are into veggie and vegan food then you need to try it. I had the Sweet Potato Fritter with black beans. Proper food :))
