I rarely get excited about food but this place has the most authentic traditional food ( I’m not Syrian but I can taste the spirit of an old culture through their food, environment, and the music) Highly recommending their coffee, herbal tea and desert.

My favourite place to eat in town! Excellent service, small, intimate setting, and amazing food. The people who run it are always so welcoming. The menu has options for my veggie friend, meat & spice-loving partner, and for my bland & beige-only pallette. It really is a hidden gem - I only wish I could have it delivered.

A small place that offers a compact menu, but the food was so delicious it didn’t matter! We shared a few different dishes and each was delicious - even the humous, which is sometimes bland elsewhere. A unique addition to the local food scene, and one I’ll definitely try again!

I stumbled across Falafel and More when visiting the Singh Twins' fabulous 'Slaves of Fashion' exhibition at Firstsite Gallery. What a great find! The friendly person who took my order told me I would have to wait 5 minutes for the falafel wrap as they only served them fresh. It was absolutely delicious and filling too. As a vegetarian I am careful where I go to eat. After 10 years of working in wholefood catering I can sense when a place is any good - and this place was good. I'll be back for sure!

The owner was really nice and the food was great. A nice small cosy atmosphere. We ordered the mixed platter (large), falafel wrap, Turkish coffee and Syrian tea. Would definitely recommend. For two people, the mixed platter was a good size. We had to take the falafel wrap to go.

Extremely tasty Syrian fare, in an intimate setting with all good freshly prepared by the proprietors. Can definitely recommend the falafel made Arabian style, which is a very flavoursome (and big!) meal, with the Syrian Tea. Wholeheartedly recommended.

This is one of those rare, secret gems—authentic Syrian cuisine, made with care, and the tradition of hundreds of years. Falafel and More is proper soul food. Rich, healthy, and delicious food, prepared with the most modest ingredients. When I arrived, I asked Marwan, "Can you please put together a serving you'd suggest?" Without any hesitation, his eyes glowed with delight. They showered our table with a spread—though he was feeding his own family. The small restaurant radiated with the sun that afternoon. Still, it was the warmth, pride, and love this little Syrian restaurant brings to communities like Colchester that stayed with me as I wrote this the day after. Thank you, Falafel and More. We'll see you again soon. :)

A lovely gem of Middle Eastern food. As a vegan, originally from Tel-Aviv, I am fussy when it comes to this cuisine, however; the standards are higher than expected! Everything we ordered was full of authentic flavours and more importantly - super fresh! Portions were generous and are great value for money. The owner was super friendly and hospitable, accommodating our requirements. Highly recommended.

Delicious food This was the best Syrian food we have ever had. Every thing served here is perfect and freshly cooked. We had the mixed platter for the starter, Arabian style falafel sandwich, Syrian style beef mince (kebab) in a tomato soup served with rice. I can’t fault anything really but the beef was heavenly! The host is very welcoming and friendly. The place may look low key from outside but don’t be put off by that, the food is amazing

Sallams, just came back from Falalfel and more. The food was nice but unfortunately the service wasn’t! The two workers (a man and a young boy) was courteous enough but a lack of visibility (they seem to be more comfortable in the kitchen) and no serving spoons was provided. As well with chips, a offer of various sauces wouldn’t go amiss
