Still waiting for the vegan chicken burger to be added to the menu at Colchester which I absolutely love, currently have to go to Ipswich for the burger which is really disappointing. Please hurry and add to the branch menu! Shocking it's not available in 2022..I'll be waiting!

Ordered via deliveroo, the food was cold but tasty. Check your orders, sauces and other associated napkins missing. First time the order has been complete. Usually the extra bits I have ordered always missing, so I simply don't order them anymore. That's hitting the bottom line. Improvement needed and to be discuss with the delivery team.

Good food. Must be eaten at the resturang to be hot. Hard to go up the stairs with a stroller due to its only stairs and no elevator. Also needs MORE cleaning in the toilet and on the floor/table in the resturang. Almost nobody pick up after themself and trow their empty food package (not the resturange fault) after They finish. The icecream tasted old. They need a bigger bin also. Just a tips for this KFC.

Convenient but not great. Sometimes people do feel a bit hungry and decide to visit a fast-food restaurant, that's fine. But I'll be honest, this isn't the best one to visit. All three times I went I've had mixed feelings. Due to the restaurant being on the high street, it's only natural for it get packed during busy times. And that would be fine if it wasn't a small chain. There is probably enough space on the bottom floor to fit roughly 20 people comfortably, with upstairs seating fitting around the same amount. My last visit wasn't fantastic, either. My order seemed to have been lost so I stood by the counter like a mug for 7 or so minutes before asking where my order went. Then when I went upstairs there was a lot of uncleaned mess. My friend managed to pick out a table that wasn't too bad but I did overhear a woman complain to a member of staff about it. It also has a bit of a funky smell most times, but I donc't know where it comes from.

Standard KFC so you know what you're going to get. The place was clean and the serving staff were friendly and polite. The food was hot and tasty just like you'd expect from KFC.

Amazing service from talie I believe his name was. After a shocking experience at another restaurant we ended up in kfc and talie was awesome. He had amazing customer service, engaged with the children and made our whole experience brilliant.

Honestly I didn't think fast food staff cared anymore, however this place actually does. We ordered some take away and were told it would about 50 mins to an hour we understood as it was a busy payday weekend night so we said to the staff we will go across the road to the pub while we wait as we didn't want to clog up the restaurant waiting. Maybe 20 or 30 mins had passed and instead of the food being packed and left out to get cold the lovely girl who took our order brought it in to the pub to our table. I feel terrible as I don't remember the girls name to properly credit her for her service but you know who you are. This branches food is always on point and the delivery is always early by far the best KFC I have been to.

During the busy weekend evenings, we have witnessed again and again, more than 20 delivery couriers come into the restaurant with none of them wearing a simply face covering.. The restaurant and delivery partners must be fined accordingly!!!

Great service, the food is given you quick and warm. Always clean upon entering and the toilets are usually clean as well. Staff are extremely friendly and approachable. In general a really good branch of KFC.

Overall decent place but has 2 main downsides: 1. Wheelchair accessible toilet upstairs but no wheelchair accessibility to get upstairs... that's a pretty bad building layout plan. 2. For the only KFC in Colchester it's extremely small. There is space for just 2 queues if you squeeze people into one another and 2 tables with about 5-7 seats downstairs. If it's busy, you basically place yourself in the queue as soon as you step into the building, as the length of it is about as much as 6 queued people. The upstairs seating is ok for the small place, about 10-12 tables. But it can get a bit messy. It really should be a bigger place considering it's the only kfc in town and KFC is a big franchise so it's unusual to see it represented like this, plus I've seen it quite empty only ONCE of many visits so it's not like Colchester is lacking demand for the business, otherwise the size would be justifiable. Other than that, it's pretty good. Average wait time for order is decent - more than 2 minutes but less than 5. Sometimes very quick, 1-2 min, other times 5 min or more if really crowded. Never had a problem with order accuracy. Staff is friendly. Food is good.

Been to this KFC many a time till fairly recently (there is another that has opened up outside town centre!) I am probably being over generous with the scoring on this, especially as you often end up waiting some considerable time for food and even then its not always right...

Went for lunch at around 1:30. Was a bit cramped the actual till area is quite small and is hard not to stand in front of someone...the food came quickly which isnt always the case (worth noting) and was fine. In all honesty my only issue with the place is its so small for being the only kfc in Colchester.

OMG yum yum yum. We walked in as a fresh batch came out of the fryer, scorchingly hot, crispy coating and tender juicy chicken. Small seating area upstairs needs someone constantly there to keep area clean and tidy.

The food in KFC is cheap and tasty just like any other fast food place but In this particular chain I could not describe it as Fast food granted I went at 12 o'clock the time when luch starts for the Colchester sixth form and institute and there is a deal on making the shop waaay to packed despite the fact the shop is tiny but even after getting to the counter my order sat on the screen for 13 minutes being ignored by the otherwise friendly and helpful staff

Can't fault kfc, that crispy chicken though. I salute colonel sanders for his amazing recipe. This store has friendly colleagues, has an upstairs seating area which is nice and toilets upstairs too.

Quite often crowded, which isn't ideal for a shop of their size, and you may find it hard to get seating if you're planning to eat in, but their quality of service is excellent and the good there is wonderful and mostly served quickly.

It's not often we treat ourselves to a KFC. But when we do, for some reason, their staff can never get the order right. I'm always left something missing by the time I get home. I would check every bag before leaving, but the store is so small and cramped, it's not possible.
