Noodle Zone’s got all that you can ask for from a Chinese takeaway and restaurant! ☑️Food ☑️ Service ☑️ Price ☑️ Location I wouldn’t believe the negative reviews from before as this resto has been completely revamped under new management! The owner/manager personally greeted and served me and my friends herself, making us feel at home right at the get-go. The service was easy and relaxed in a chill environment where you won’t feel rushed to order and eat. The facilities are clean, tidy, and welcoming. I inspect dining places when I eat out, and I was so pleased that everything had been spick and span from cutlery to table setup down to the washrooms! Really impressive ambience with soft music playing to set the mood. You have the option to eat downstairs for ease of access or upstairs for a bit more privacy. The food is nothing short of exceptional! Everything was served hot in generous portions with fresh ingredients. It’s the best in Colchester, possibly the best takeaway food I’ve had! It’s also great value for money without leaving you to scratch your head, saying, “You get what you paid for” because you get MORE than what you pay for! Who doesn’t deserve a tasty treat after a tiring day? Or every now and then? I’ll be coming back again and again. I hope Noodle Zone keeps it up!

Greatly surprised with the delivery version of the laksa, which comes in separate containers (one for broth, the other for noodles, vegetables, tofu and chicken). Flavour was exceptional too, I'm definitely visiting the restaurant next time.

Came here for one evenings after visited the Mersey island. First impression not bad for a restaurant and takeaway. As Malaysian, I went for more authentic dishes in here. The owner recommended some curry laksa or char kuey teow. The curry laksa was really good and I would rank 9/10 for this. The char kuey teow was a bit disappointment as it didn’t have any eggs in it and it had a lot of shrimp paste. Overall I think it’s alright for some authentic Malaysian food. Owner was friendly.

We had the food delivered having ordered through justeat. Arrived on time and nice and hot. Quality was good throughout and not being a regular eater of Chinese food we ordered a variety of dishes and of course we preferred some over others. Kung pao chicken was lovely whereas the crispy beef less so...in our opinion. The Singapore noodles were excellent. Overall perfectly enjoyable takeaway delivered on time with some complimentary prawn crackers.

Opened by a young Malaysian couple, this restaurant serves authentic Malaysian and Asian food ranging from Char kuay teow to nasi goreng. Service is friendly and portions are generous! Dishes all had at least 5 king prawns in them. Would personally recommend the char kuay teow and milk tea. Will be back!

We keep returning here and will keep doing so again. They do a very reasonable lunch deal and if you don't want to walk into town, or take a bus, you can finish (if you want) within the 30 minutes that you can park outside (if there is a space). The takeaways are just as good and all the family like to see what there is to eat here. The service is friendly and I see us returning over and over again.

Easily the best takeaway on town. Delivery is always prompt and the owner deals with all orders personally to ensure quality. Would particularly recommend the Cantonese set menu and mutton curry!! We went here a while ago, just thought I'd write a review now. The prawn is AMAZING and so are the noodles. Made my day to be honest. Cooked to perfection I'd definitely recommend. The restaurant serves halal meals aswell. I'd definitely recommend going here.

I love this place! Really good value for money if choosing from the set lunch menu. Or average restaurant prices off of the main menu. Great taste and better than a normal takeaway type restaurant. Although it is small there was room for my pram in there and there is extra seating upstairs. Very friendly staff who accommodated to our needs. Plenty of tasty vegetarian and vegan options. Not ideal for disabled guests as the only toilet is upstairs. I go here often and recommend it to friends.

Ate here with friends, realised that they stop doing the buffet and switch to the chef special set meal , which cost £25 for two. The food on the set meal deal was so good, with a generous selection. Food tastes good and simply best quality of prices. Immense choice and suitable for all diets. Fairly more good quality food as buffet foods go. Overall, a very fantastic meal , staff very polite and service good. Great value of money. Well cooked and presented. Would like to come again. Thumbs up guys.

Great food, service and location. We opted for the lunch time special £7.50 for a two course lunch. We were not disappointed. I had the vegetable spring rolls followed by the vegetable and tofu soup. Hubby had the pork ribs followed by chicken noodles. Both of us were full. Fantastic value for money. It's the first time we have been here, we will be back.

We came here for lunch on Sunday due to reading some good reviews and there being a lunch deal. The "express lunch" was not very express as we waited quite a while. The food was okay when it arrived, perhaps their main menu dishes are better? The price for the express lunch is okay.

This place is amazing. Such good value for proper Chinese food and really good vegan options too. All freshly cooked and not at all greasy or gloopy as so many are these days. Always lots of Chinese customers which is a great sign. We've moved from colchester and still return when we can as we can't seem to find a decent Chinese where we are. Staff are all lovely too. Highly recommend!!! Especially the rendang!!

Just had amazing and lovely meal at Noodle Zone. Gave my husband and I a flashback to a time when food still had a lovely flavour. The staff were attentive, but not in an oppressive way. Friendly and informative too. Went out of their way to be helpful. Lychee juice and sweet and sour chicken were highlights for us both. Just wish we'd saved more room for dessert! Well done guys. We had the set menu, which was presented beautifully! Four bowls of deliciousness accompanied with rice - everything was just right. The kung po prawn was a highlight, but all of the dishes we had were lovely. Highly recommended!

Super place to grab a good meal. Plenty of good deals for the express lunch menu at a decent price and even the menu is well priced. The food is really good quality and taste and mostly authentic. I go back there almost every time we go down to Colchester.

The noodle zone is our favourite "too tired to cook" restaurant. It is always welcoming, the food is always carefully prepared and excellent value for money. The Malaysian specialties are great, and for comfort food, the noodle soups are terrific: won ton soup and duck soup are our favourites. Watch for the specials.

I couldn't give them less than 5 stars but unfortunately I don't think I'll be eating at Noodle Zone anymore as they took the buffet option off. I went there specifically for their nice buffet. Now all the prices are a little bit high compared to before and I can't have the variety me and my partner want. If it is a busines change due to profit I would be more than happy to pay more for the buffet option than the £11.90 I used to pay and pay extra for any item orderes from the menu. Such a shame, as we were regulars and really liked the place and the staff.

I guess as with many other places the food can be variable. Recently we had a few individual dishes to share and quite enjoyed our meal. We were very well looked after by Desy and would definitely come back.

It's a very cosy atmosphere and the food is resonably priced, the dishes were also very generous in their amounts. Service was quite fast and the time between when orders were taken and the food given was also fairly fast as well. All in all, I'd reccommend it, it's an enjoyable time for yourself and also with family.
