P. A.Been to this new shop this afternoon to try it. I can gladly say that the fish is of utmost standards. Fresh, flaky, lightly battered, flavourful, and beautifully cooked! The chips are also fresh and nice. The fish is nicely packaged in the box to keep fresh.
If you ever get the chance to try it, or is craving fish and chips, this is the new place to go. MUST try. Will be back. Wishing this shop all the success
A. W.On a one day visit to Colchester over the weekend came across this gem a short walk from the station. Very fresh fish and proper cut chips (home made style)! Not to mention the amazing curry sauce! Well worth a visit and will definitely be going back.
L. F.This is no normal fish and chip shop! This is like London has reached Colchester in a wonderful way! The owner is kind and charming and spent time telling us about the shop. The business cares about sustainability - which is something great to see! We will no doubt return because above all of that - the food was delicious - the batter was light, the fish was fresh the chips delicious and the portions were big! What more could you want! Best chippy in the town!

Fish and chips is a staple for many families in the UK and that means that there is plenty of shops to cater for the demand. What the guys at Norfolk Fish Bar have done is that they have managed to perfect the traditional. Whereas some would attempt to reinvent the wheel, they show skill and pride in their craft. With a clean and safe shop, friendly staff and the freshest ingredients that I have ever tasted. The batter is light and fresh as well as crispy but it doesn't sicken you with oil. The chips are also crisp and lightly browned, no one has time for soggy chips. Catering for vegans and dietary requirements makes life a lot easier when it comes to dinner time for a family in 2022. Easy access parking to the rear of the property also makes it easy to get to especially during busy times of the day. I will definitely be making these my regular takeaway option in the future.

All was cooked to order - only a short wait - totally worth it. Would highly recommend this place, and I can't wait to grab another meal from here!
S. B.My partner and I went here on opening night to try it out and it was fantastic. The fish was fresh and cooked to order while you wait, great knowing the fish hasn’t sat for ages and we could really notice the difference! They serve the fish in a cardboard box which meant once we got it home it the fish was soft and flaky and the batter was still super crispy and not stuck to the chip paper. The chips were really fluffy too and nothing was oily. Overall we agreed it was one of the best fish and chips we’ve had, highly recommend!
