Reviews of Cross Point Brewers Fayre
A. C.
A work related stay at the Premier Inn next door meant a quick meal here. I used the meal deal voucher, which gives a two course meal and breakfast for £23.99. Unfortunately once I presented the voucher the menu and drinks choice was limited unless I paid extra (this wasn't mentioned at check in). It was a quiet Thursday night and there were less than 10 other customers in the whole place, however the service was slow, the cleaner came through past my table mopping the floor while I was eating, I eventually had to ask for my desert after the second lady orders bell was rung.
My food was well cooked and good quality/ample portions.
Younger barmaid was friendly and apologetic about the limited choice, old barmaid/manager were less friendly.
Breakfast was reasonable and self service - fairly standard, but nice enough.
Pros: Convenient if you're staying at the Premier Inn, quiet, nice food, reasonable value for money, one friendly member of staff.
Cons: Limited choice with voucher, slow service, one less friendly member of staff.
Would I go again?: Unlikely, I would walk or drive to one of the another nearby establishments if I stay again.
Advice to management: Let people know when paying for the meal deal about the limited menu/drinks choice. Train your senior staff in customer service.

Food was nice, ... when it finally arrived after we chased it when had been over hour since we ordered, so much so poor kids were crying n hungry, and we decided to go elsewhere for dessert. Unlimited drinks are good... when they are working had to report a few times they were all out, and even though very limited choice, still had totally run out early in evening (by 5.30pm) of some of them. Had made a booking as group of us, but still seemed to be crammed up a bit on a smallish table despite better options being available. Shame as food was nice n fairly reasonable and a play are for kids.

Breakfast Rating Only - we paid 9.50 each for the unlimited breakfast. We had 2 poached eggs which were perfeclty done and still runny.
Sausages, bacon, mushrooms and baked beans were nicely cooked. The water was nice and hot for a proper cup of Tea.latte was also good from the machine. Staff were nice and helpful.
I was going to say the pancakes were cold- but you can just put them in the toaster and they were great. They can also warm the Danish pastries
So breakfast is great value - no idea what the lunch or dinner is like though.

First time this evening, and I highly recommend very welcoming excellent service. Lovely support with food choices for my son. this one lady (rozina) went out her way to make sure we all had a very relaxing and enjoyable evening even got my desert personalised which was a lovely touch. Definitely revisting again soon.
E. S.
The barmaid Victoria was brilliant, nothing was too much trouble. Friendly, brilliant with the kids and so smiley. She really brought the atmosphere up. The manager on the other hand yet again AWFUL!! Her attitude stinks and do not know how she is still working there.
K. S.
Always know what you're going to get here. We went for breakfast with our 2 young children. Decent quality food, sausages, bacon, hash browns, scrambled & fried eggs, tomatoes, mushrooms, beans and black pudding. Continental pastries and pancakes. Yogurts, fruit and a good range of fruit juices alongside usual coffee, tea and fruit teas. Only let down at this present time is the decor. It is starting to get a bit worn out, some of the seating is worn through and needs repair.
M. R.
Just went for drinks and soft play. No heating in soft play but wasn't too cold for the little one to run around but too cold to sit in there and watch! A bit worrying they weren't enforcing the no glasses rule in the soft play. I asked for a plastic glass for my drink and the employee said not to worry about it.
D. T.
Too many new staff on one shift. Only one member of staff knew how to work the till making service slow. Waitress didn't know the dishes she was bringing out, the mixed grill was supposed to have an 8oz steak on but a dried up piece of meat was served. Sent it back and 8oz was then served. Starter plates left on the table even after mains served not enough custard served with the crumble
D. S.
Medium to rear but more well cook oion ring was like bricks chicken and cheese was I pure joke really chicken drum stick and cheese melted on it can say the chip was OK. Jacket potato was over cook or yesterday's salad is just lettuce 2 slice of tomatoe and 2 cucumber was no effort seemed good service I can say that I could understand if the place was busy but it wasn't
T. S.
Possibly Friday evening isn't the best time to visit but we are off to cinema after, our meals cane quite quickly in the end , portions were OK and it was reasonably hot, we both had sausage and mash in a giant yorkshire pudding.
G. D.
A really nice restaurant inside and out. It's got a great appearance about it. I ordered the mix grill and it didn't disappoint. Chunky bit of chicken, 2 sausages, steak & gammon. With all the trimmings, one of the best mix grills I have ever had. Didn't wait to long either. Friendly staff too.
m. g.
Cracking pub food and cheap too , friendly staff.
D. B.
A reasonably new pub. Well laid out with plenty of seating. Next to a Premier Inn and close to the M6. Staff were polite and courteous. We ordered our food and it was on the table within 15 minutes. There is also plenty of parking.
T. W.
Good quality food at good quality prices, especially during these modern trying times. This restaurant is ideal if you have children, as they have a play area inside on the premises.
C. G.
Great breakfast, great service just a little cold in side as the heating not working great price too. Kids eat FREE
L. B.
Visited on Saturday morning for an unlimited cooked breakfast with my husband. Nice, clean and welcoming set up. Breakfast was a nice quality and freshly cooked. We didn't see any empty trays on the hot buffet and the continental selection was good. Great value at under a tenner each (drinks included in price). Definitely will be back!
M. R.
Had breakfast here 2 morning and the staff were very friendly and chatty. The selection of food is very good and very filling. Decent price for a cooked breakfast including continental too
A. H.
Went for lunch with my 4 year old son. The soft play was small but my son loved it. The food was served quick and was tasty.
They have a Costa coffee station, they offer unlimited refills for this.
The soft pay was £3.00 for 1hr 30mins. They have 7 sets of tables in the soft pay room, your able to eat and drink in this room when your kids a playing.
Lovely place..

So, my wife and I booked into the Premier Inn opposite and as it was getting late and we couldn't be bothered going into town we thought we'd try this place.
We were told that the kitchen had turned most things off now and that the menu was limited because of it.
We had no problem with that as it was late, we understood and the waitress Sue was so sympathetic that that was all fine.
I had a Fish Pie and my wife had the Lasagne.
The fish pie was rather bland and the Lasagne was appalling.
Please go to my website on YouTube "Demetri's Kitchen" with a guide on how to make a Fish Bake.
I would like to add though that our waitress Sue was a delight to talk too. She was also exceedingly professional and made our evening enjoyable nonetheless.
K. R.
Food tasted nice. I had the sausage mash in giant yorkie
The yorkie however was as hard as cardboard.
The 3 sausages were like small Richmond size sausages so it seems portion sizes have shrunk.
Given that the food taste was nice.
D. C.
Staff very friendly. Had my starter (chicken tikka meatballs) and main (mixed grill) within 15 minutes of ordering which was very quick! Pretty cheap food as well. Would come again.
N. '. R.
Well I came here for my Birthday and other than getting a member of bar staff who was not sure on ANYTHING,
But the food was nice and a real bargain if you ask me, (only cause 1 I didnt have to pay and 2 I used my birthday voucher)
Same time next yr?
Although the the Club says FREE not CHEAPEST. It was still worth it.
B. R.
Thought the breakfast and bottomless coffee was great for the price. A special mention to Jackie on service who was welcoming, made sure I got everything I needed and was friendly.
J. A.
Went out for a Sunday roast dinner and the meal was great. They wasn't skimpy with the meat portions and the staff were very friendly would recommend the brewers fayre to anyone. Been there a few times and haven't been disappointed yet
J. F.
Great place for families for a nice little meal, reasonably priced food and great play area for the kids to enjoy while you eat!
L. P.
We stopped off here before making the 200 mile journey home after a business meeting. I've been to many brewers fayre restaurants and knew what to expect from the menu, and this venue did not disappoint, the service was exceptionally quick from Jules and the food was of very good quality, my scampi was very well cooked, exactly as I like it, not too crispy and the wholetail was nice and chewy.
Parking was right outside with a number of disabled spaces.. Overall very good and would return when in the area again.
w. b.
My wife and I went here for our 10th anniversary. This is the first place to cook my steak right in years. I did have an issue with cold chips but the waitress that served us quickly rectified this and within a minute I have red hot chips on my plate. They delivered in all areas. I highly recommend. we will be returning again with the kids in hand next time
S. M.
We called in for breakfast on 21 October 2021. We were greeted by a very friendly young lady and given a choice of seats. The buffet was explained to us, and we were asked about our hot food quite quickly. The waiter who brought our hot food was also pleasant, as was the waitress who cleared our plates and checked if the food was OK and if we wanted more. The hot food was really good, the scrambled eggs were very creamy, lovely sausages and really good bacon. The breakfast was also very hot, which was really nice. Love the fact the hot food is cooked to order, and the whole experience was really good, we will definitely be back. Great value for money too. Well worth a visit.
M. D.
Food was okay, what you'd expect for the prices, but unfortunately a little let down by getting the order slightly wrong. I asked to swap fries for sweet potato and normal fries came out, 2 lots of peppercorn sauce for steaks that 2 of us were having. Then I think the kitchen realised and sent the stuff out 5 minutes later. Apart from that it was a good visit.
R. S.
Excellent food. Definitely improved from my last visit few years ago. We had the Chicken Burger and Fish and chips.
Both were very tasty, tasted fresh, perfectly cooked and well flavoured. Quality and serving was excellent.
j. e.
Went out for a family meal was very tasty and staff were friendly
B. P. M.
Nothing to write home about, good size portions, this place is more quantity over quality; vegan menu available
D. H.
Look their breakfasts always go there with kids especially as kids eat free which is great.
A. N.
Pretty much the same as any other Brewers Fayre. Food is OK but nothing special. Prices are very competitive. Very limited selection of draft beer. Staff were all friendly and helpful. The biggest thing going for this restaurant is that it is right on top of the M6 at Coventry, making it ideal for a stop on a long journey. Coming from the south east, we stopped at 5:15pm, just as the traffic was building up, and got back on the road at 6:45pm, just as it was calming down again - much better than sitting in stationary traffic.
K. c.
Not the ritz but food was decent. I enjoyed the serloin steak though thought it a little overpriced at nearly £15. Service was standard but polite. Plenty of space for families.
R. H.
My wife had a meal last week with work mates. All was good but my wife had a Ploughman's and can you believe she got half a pickled onion. Yes a half. It must have been harder to cut one in half than give her a whole one. Haha how tight is that.
N. M.
Lovely staff, great food and excellent soft play facilities. Loved out visit!
R. G.
Great family pub with a decent menu for kids and adults. The restaurant and bar is kept really clean, the kids play area was very tidy and well looked after too. The food was very tasty and came out hot. The staff that dealt with us were amazing, they were very helpful, friendly and had great customer service. Will definitely be returning to this restaurant because the overall experience was great.
F. M.
Popped in for lunch and was so impressed by staff, cleanliness, service. This is how k would run a place. I’m deffo going back food was amazing, place not too full. You’ll be really impressed.
M.
I've visited for work meeting this week. And I can't recommend the place enough. I've arrived in the morning and enjoyed quiet time, where only breakfasting customers were there and not too many. Air con kept place nice and cool on a scorching hot day. Staff was friendly and attentive. Lunch arrived almost before I sat back down at our table and was delicious. I wouldn't bother with the QR code to the app, it's a bit cumbersome, but order at the bar was perfectly fine.
J. S.
Not a bad place. Met a friend here. Staff are nice.
K. B.
We both had the rack of ribs, which with the bogof offer was good value, but wouldn't pay full price for this meal. The chips weren't great and had been sitting around going cold, the ribs were better than I was expecting for the money. Had to wait 45 minutes for a table.
M. A.
I would certainly like to visit this establishment again, very warm and cozy👌
L. c.
Excellent family restaurant....food is amazing carvery selection is brilliant..great friendly customer service...pleay area for children is awesome my nephew loved it
R. W.
Popped in for breakfast this morning, had a great time. All you can eat brekkie ( continental & full English ). 2 adults & 4 kids all eat for under &20. Plus, unlimited juices & tea/coffee. Super-friendly staff, spotless dining area. Highly recommended.
b. r. b.
Decent enough place only draw back was being rushed off the table
J. M.
Good to catch up with friends. Cheap and cheerful. Decent scran!
D. B.
This was my first time eating out since before Covid. The service was wonderful, a lovely Albanian lady ( sorry forgot her name) was looking after our table, she was very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent. I had never been to Brewers Fare before, I was impressed and will go again.
P. N.
Friendly bar staff and very clean, Guinness is good too.
R. r.
Great place, food was lovely and so was the staff
C. C.
We had the Sunday carvery. Good food, bit of a wait. Children enjoyed the soft play area and liked the children's meal.
n. m.
Friendly efficient staff good food lovely breakfast
D. P.
Tasty food, good prices, really nice mocktails!
D. H.
Great family pub, great menu, Carvery available on a Sunday. Staff friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Always have a great experience, would recommend.
T. B.
A very good place to eat drink, and let the kids run around!
M. L.
You'd never get food poisoning as the food is so over cooked. Apart from that, the staff were friendly and helpful.
A. C.
Nachos nice on pic but as with many places not so much cheese and spring onions & coriander missing. Garlic flay bread very nice as was burger stack. Ba4 staff friendly.
K. T.
Fantastic breakfast, absolutely delicious & great value
G. T.
It was OK the food was nice but could do with a few more chips on the plate, and all you can drink machine a
H. b.
Quite noisy, lots of kids, long wait for food, food not brilliant, but it is a chain pub.
V.
Went to take a quick bite of Fish and chip before the movie and a punt Believe me the fish was quite big freshly made and excellent I am not a great fan of Fish and Chip but this one here is the best I’ve ever tasted real value for money highly recommended for fish and Chip especially if you’re trying for the first time👍👍🥰🥰🥰👍👍
D. K.
Great food at a good price kid friendly with play area and staff are great 👍 have always liked Brewers Fayre
E. S.
The best breakfast. Freshly cooked to order with unlimited pastries, croissants, fruit & drinks. Can highly recommend.
C. B.
Appalling. Poor service, staff that couldn't care less. My wife's fish wasn't cooked in the middle. We sent in back and 15 minutes later the meal hadn't come back. When we asked it suddenly appeared- cool, not cold but cool. Obviously it had been left in the kitchen. We have been before but it's never been as bad as this. Why did we go again ? Only because it's a good meeting place . The only redeeming factor was that the Manageress did seem to try.
T. T.
Last time I went to the Brewers Fayre pre-lockdown, honestly it really wasn't that good. The staff were super always happy to help, the food was bland though and it always felt empty.
However, post-lockdown, I was able to grab myself table with my partner and sister-in-law and OMG it's much better than it was before, Thatchers Gold on tap which was brilliant, again staff as always amazing and the food has definitely improved a lot since it was last open.
Would recommend whether it's a quick bite to eat or a full three course, absolutely amazing.
J. H.
Decent food. Lovely staff. Such a contrast to a neighbouring place we tries first. (The one that does flatbread named after a dwelling...)
S. T.
Excellent, great food, prices and service
M. M.
Lovely little place, the same as every other brewers, just fine. Good atmosphere, nice and warm, helpful staff.
We all ordered steaks at different cooking levels and they were all cooked perfectly to our specifications.
There's not much else to say, it was spot on!
M. D.
We had a good breakfast, good value. Clearly family friendly from what we saw.
A little bit impersonal though, would have liked a little more friendly conversation.
A. o.
It's in a good location. Can be be busy at times depending on your reservation. The food is reasonably priced, however the portions are on the bigger side and also dry. We had a group of 9 and do much good got wasted but only because it was dry and of course you have to buy extras like salad or gravy which still adds to more food on your plate. The service we received was quite good, you make your order at the counter. They also have a soft play area for kids manned by staff, and you can monitor them through the tv screens depending on your sitting position. I quite likes this part and my daughter enjoyed having a play area.
T. R.
Food was delicious, good value, pleasant service but food took 45mins and it wasn't busy. Clean place and lots of sanitizer around. Would return.
L. A.
Excellent cooked breakfast, served promptly with everything hot. Clean and well maintained environment and staff friendly and very helpful. Very good value.
R. M.
DRINKS ONLY REVIEW - My wife and I use this for a quiet mid week drink quite often. The staff are excellent and prices very reasonable. In these COVID times it is a very safe place with good social distancing (without making the place "clinical) and very prompt table service. There is a warm atmosphere in the bar area and we both think its a comfortable, safe place for a quiet drink.
J. W.
Went for Sunday lunch on mother's day. Not too busy. Food was lovely and the staff were great
J.
Great for families with young children upto atleast 12yrs. Cheap cheerful menu with a good selection for everyone. Play area and also a new games area where the kids can earn tokens to get prizes . My kids had the best time, play area isn't huge but suitable for allowing the kids to entertain themselves. Unsure of the price but not overly expensive if you want to entertain the little ppl in your life. Also do Breakfast here and a Sunday roast. Wheel hair accessible and toilets at both ends of the restaurant can't sell it enough. Cinema and bowling in the same vicinity!! Day out settings !
k. p.
Lovely food and a great atmosphere
S. B.
The Cross Point is a great place to visit with friends and family for tasty pub grub and a fantastic selection of soft and alcoholic drinks in their spacious restuarant (and bar area)
Popular for breakfasts and Sunday Carvery - make sure to book a table at busy times to avoid disappointment.
The pub also has a popular soft play area suitable for small children.
Scott and the team are very welcoming, and we are always satisfied with the service they provide.
J. B.
Come here when working away just a standard brewers Fayre decent food and big portions
G. T.
Huge amount of tasty food! Five stars👍
j. f.
We were there for my birthday . It was Thursday night buffet , choices were great loads of curry on offer and we were spoilt for choice. The only down side was the service we asked for three drinks and after half an hour had to remind the waitress we were still waiting. She did have 3 birthdays to look after so I expect she could have done with some help.... although there were 3 male waiters there they didn't step in to help her out, which as a team I would have expected them to do this. The staff were friendly and the food was good , just failed on the service side of things.
D. W.
Yeah not bad... Pub food at decent money...
D. B.
Enjoyed a lovely smothered chicken meal.
N. s.
Book ahead, get in early and it's a great buffet breakfast. Pay before you eat and top up your plate as many times as you want. 😊
P. M.
Friendly staff. Good safety measures in place against Covid-19. The time I went approximately 2pm I was able to get a table even though I hadn't booked up. Meals included more than burgers and chips, all good.
K. B.
We travel here on a regular basis. Extremely pleasant and welcoming staff. Food is excellent and the softplay area is well supervised, clean and friendly for the children. We highly recommend this establishment.
A. B.
Lovely place, good food
L. W.
Went for lunch with my other half. Very friendly, fast and well cooked food and very reasonably priced.
A. H.
It is a good place for breakfast if staying local, Premier Inn next door. Can get busy. Wide menu from Continental breakfast to choose your own/all you can eat meal. Greasy spoon is cheaper but not in the same class for comfortable surroundings. Staff very pleasant while we were there. Will use again if staying at Premier Inn.
N. H.
The waitress liked that we held the door open for an elderly man and his disabled companion. She was very chatty. The food was nice and came out fast. Anywhere you can take advantage of bottomless drinks is a thumbs up.
D. S.
I can see why people like it here. It's all you can eat. Food is cooked freshly in front of you and there is a reasonable. However I do feel that the food during the evening is offered at a price and I was not impressed with the quality. Having said that the breakfast was good quality by comparison and frequently replenished unlike some other all you can eat breakfast joints. The staff where very friendly and helpful throughout. I'd come back for breakfast maybe not for an evening meal and I wouldn't let this experience put me off trying another taybarns elsewhere.
S. S.
This place looks very good and it's very clean. The staff is nice and there is table service. The food was delicious and you can opt for a refillable drink. A little more pricey that other food places I've been but it's worth the money. Apparently they have a chef bouffe everyday after 5 pm. I recommend the place, I've enjoyed it!
T. A.
Nice place to visit prices not to bad all things considered staff welcoming and friendly
S. L.
Called in on a Sunday evening whilst staying nearby at an expensive hotel. Better value meals and more choice than hotel. As we had had afternoon tea earlier, just looking for small meal and pint of beer. We chose the starter sharer combo with side of chips and salad. Excellent choice. Well cooked and dips. Perfect for our wishes. Will visit again when visiting Coventry.
J. H.
Well, what can I say. This place was amazing!
We stayed at the Premier Inn next door and bought the meal deal which is great value for money.
In the evening, all the meals for our family of 5 all came out at the same time and was lovely and hot, fresh and plentiful.
Served with a smile too which always helps!
My children enjoyed the soft play area which is always a bonus.
This morning we went back for breakfast, i wanted quorn sausages but after waiting a few minutes a lovely lad came to tell me the chef thought there was a bag of quorn sausages in the freezer, however they couldn't find them.
I was fine with it, however the lovely guy even offered to go over to Tesco's and buy some so I could still have some.
How lovely!! Going above and beyond to help me bless him.
I told him it was fine and not to worry, as I was absolutely fine with everything else they had there, and after making triple sure that I was sure, he went and searched again and actually found the original ones in the freezer and said they'd be 2 minutes.
Can't fault them. They all wished my daughter good luck for her competition too, which was lovely.
Very lovely staff, happy, helpful and friendly.
If we stay in Coventry again we will definitely be back.
Thanks everyone.
M. C.
My husband and I were very impressed with the very friendly staff at the Brewers Fayre Cross Point. Nothing was too much trouble for them, making us feel very comfortable while enjoying a tasty
meal, a great place to take children.
J. c. G.
£25 on Sunday for two of us and our son and we really enjoyed it, food was tasty, loads of choice and you can eat as much as you like. Very children friendly. Would of been 5* if pizza machine was working and garden was nicer.
N. F.
Felt safe and looked after, plenty of space and dividers between the tables meant contact was as minimal as it could be. The staff were friendly and the food was prompt and delicious! Would come again if in the area!!
J. R.
Food: Excellent, One of the nicest meals since visiting the Old Ginn House.
Pepsi: Excellent but its pepsi so you can't really expect too much
Menu: Good
Value For Money: Yes
Customer Service: Excellent. They have very friendly staff so customer service is no concern when you eat here.
Do I recommend?: Yes, you will not be disappointed with your food if you come here. I sure wasn't.
C. R.
Food not up to scratch bit over cooked waiter wondered around the pub with my food as did not no where the table was
C. N.
con's : Dirty entry so a bad first impression. Dryers in loos not working properly. Staff huddled in the corner of the bar close to the relaxing seating having a noisy social chat.
We found it disconcerting that every member of staff working near you (I assume under instruction) smiled and said "you alright !" As if you knew them. Music a little to loud
Pro's : clean inside. Nice looking seating. We didn't eat so it was nice to have a coffee/bar seating. Prices looked reasonable.
E. “. W.
Bar manager is also awesone so made it even better xx
K. B.
My wife is gluten intolerant and we are always nervous about new places. However this restaurant quickly removed these fears. The manager attended the table and sat with us both taking us through each item on the menu and it's suitability and was able to work out any swaps if an item wasn't suitable, then describing the kitchen process to again reduce any fears of cross contamination. This was the same for both dinner and breakfast.
Great service from both managers (Dave for the breakfast, can't remember the dinner manager sorry)
Would recommend this place for similar allergy sufferers
M. B.
Hadn't been for ages. Im so impressed 👏 the food was done to perfection & as for the service it was fantastic they couldn't do enough. Our waitress was Helen. Well done brewers fair 💯👍
S. W.
We ate here on the nearby Premier Inn's Meal Deal. The food was great, especially the breakfast sausages - top quality! Staff very friendly, plenty of room to move around between tables - we'll be back!
H. P.
As usual lovely meal not had a bad one yet. Great prices for meals. Staff were lovely as always. Would go back again x
L. G.
Had the smoothed chicken, so did my sister, husband had fish and chips and nephew had chicken korma in the 2 for £8.99 and then we all had waffles with ice ( there were really nice)
Very friendly staff
Will be going back

Had a New Yorker Burger
Meat was nice, bun was nice. Cheese wasn't noticeable and the burger sauce was nice but weak. The salad was pathetically small, the chips had too much vinegar to hide how dry they were, and they were worse on the buffet section. Barbecue sauce had to be requested but was nice, and the bacon while looking greasy was also acceptable.
d. b.
The food was alright. Nothing special. Staff seemed ok and looked after us. Looks like a good place for kids. Has a play area and had loads of room to play around. Mary come back again with the kids.....
D. B.
We had a "birthday" free meal voucher... so went there after going to the pictures next door... very handy....
we both had a lovely meal.. good value.. hot and well cooked... definitely recommended
N. R.
Absolutely Amazing!!! Group of us went in just to have a look around for the following mornings breakfast then got chatting to Scott the manager. What happened next was fantastic, I was querying the justification of the prices let's say. Scott assured me that the restaurant serviced the best fish and chips in the world! Yeah right or words to that effect was my reply, he then went off and came back with this enormous plate of fish and chips and said try this on the house if you don't believe me. Well he was right and I was wrong. Well after that we just had to have a meal so off we went and boy did he load our plates up and he threw in these fantastic afters. I bought a round of drinks as well which was pretty cheap compare to London prices. All in all a great place you won't be disappointed. I'm not easily impressed but Scott you and your staff are great mate! FORGET THE 3 STAR RATING SOME PEOPLE ARE NEVER SATISFIED IT SHOUD BE 5!!!
M. R.
Cheapest eat all you want meal you'll get in this country. Bottomless soft drinks/coffee and the best desserts. Eat two slices of cake which any restaurant would charge £4+ for and the meal is free. What better value is there. Highly recommended for all ages. Especially for fussy kids.
P. B.
What an amazing restaurant. Yesterday was our first visit to a Taybarns restaurant. The food was absolutely fantastic. Great choice, good quality as a result of good chefs, very friendly and helpful staff.
We are both in our late 60's and we shall cetainly be taking our family there although we live 35 miles away.
A really enjoyable experience.

Love it here, the staff are great and quick at what they do but also have time to chat if you wanted. Smiley staff, helpful and the food is nice too. Great value at breakfast time!
J. B.
The staff were polite, helpful and friendly. There were only 3 options for vegetarians, be good to see more! However the food was delicious and lots of healthy choices for the children menu. Will definitely revisit.
A. W.
Food was pretty bad, even by Brewers Fayre standards. The waiting staff were great though, helpful and tried to recover the situation with drink! How hard can it be to make basic pub food and chips that are edible?
M. M.
Great food and a good selection of things for adults and kids.
There's a kids play area to keep them entertained it that's what you're after or just have a nice Sunday lunch as we do with the family.
Prices aren't bad but it's worth booking as it gets very busy.
D. H.
Had some great food here today along way from the old days of Taybarn's, even though there was 12 of us the service is second to none and the staff very helpful and friendly. The play area is a little on the small side but ideal for younger kids.
I would recommend other's to pay a visit highly recommended.
H. G.
Good food but why on cold plates?!?!?
s. K.
Good selection and reasonably priced. Would 100% recommend a stop off if your in the area, 5 star service, the little ones loved it as well. Will definitely be back for multiple visits. Cannot complain at the price either. Cheap as chips.
L. A.
This time I went I had a much better experience, the food was hot, cooked well. Whereas is previous experiences, one of the staff was very rude. A lot of improvement, but there still could be more.
D. M.
At around eight pounds for unlimited food and drink with no small print or caveats, the value really is unbeatable. Food is freshly prepared and you can see the team busily cooking and rotating the food so nothing is stale or cold.
The location is a little bit 'out of the way' for some people, but it's certainly worth a visit. Highly recommended!
R. b.
Come here very regular.. Staff are always so happy and welcoming.. Food is always spot on. Never had any problems.
A.
Had a saga brewers fayre bogof, which included free tea and coffee, which was a bonus. I had the chicken forestiere. Chicken breast was slightly overcooked, but tasty none the less. My partner had sausage egg and chips, which he said was good. My friend had gammon eggs and jacket potato. Gammon was lovely, but jacket was overcooked. My other friend had chicken tikka, which I dont even think touched the sides as it went down. Needless to say, he thoroughly enjoyed it.
Staff were pleasant and helpful, all helped to contribute to a nice evening.
D. S.
Food good, staff friendly and helpful. Service quick, everywhere clean and place set out well.
B. R.
Went for full breakfast paid around £9 child can eat for free if adult is getting breakfast. There cereal, continental so the croissants, pan aux chocolate and the other pastry. As well as classic cooked breakfast where you can choose what you what and how much you want. As it is all ear as much as you like. With fruit juices, tea and coffee. The food is cooked to oder so a bit of a wait but wother it. As well as all this it has a good size soft play area for suitable for young children I think it was £3.
M. S.
Good pub food done well. Management and staff were great
A. H.
Been to quite a few brewers fayre and most are mediocre at best but this one was actually good, had the black and blue burger and was cooked really well also had the mushrooms on ciabatta to start which was nice too.
B. E.
Great food and service! Took advantage of the 2 meals for £8.99! Even better!
S. P.
Went for breakfast, staff were friendly and good with kids. Food choice was good and well presented and tasted great.
Will definitely be going back.
L. S.
Well the roast potatoes were re-heated. Everyone knows what re-heated roast potatoes are like. The peas were cheap and hard. When I asked the manager if he could upgrade the peas, he said it was a multinational company and that had to use what they were supplied! The meat was tender.
M. W.
Have been to this place quite a bit, food ok on this occasion (11) of us have been there before and they could not cope with the whole family meals needed to be staggered . Onion rings were cold and chips we're warm but not all bad
T. C.
Lovely lunch, as usual, chatting with my daughter while the 2 youngest player on the soft play area.
k. p.
Great service, food and value
M. O.
Went for breakfast . Great value for money all you can eat £8.99 for English breakfast.
Lovely staff very Covid safe.
E. G.
breakfast was lovely! one of the best I have had. not greasy, freshly cooked. the staff were lovely too and very attentive and child friendly
R. W.
Had a lovely steak for my lunch here. Staff were really helpful and friendly. Lots of hand sanitiser available and signs about social distancing in evidence.
C. R.
Good selection, not great food, but if you want a little of everything then it's not bad. Deserts are great and constantly refreshed. Waiting times are sometimes a problem, but even if noone else is their, it can take far to long to pay and gain entry.
C. H.
Cheap and cheerful, did a two meals for £8.99. Good portion size, we both had the smothered chicken and was pleasantly surprised.
D. M.
I went here for breakfast and as always it was amazing, the staff are always helpful.
D. L.
Great tasting food. Loved the chips. The internal decor was fresh and clean. Staff were friendly. Definitely going again.
K. C.
Amazingly friendly and helpful staff. Food good and child's play area more than adequate for younger children.
A. “. -. G.
Been 3 times & wont visit again (3rd time unlucky) Hair in food on TWO occassions. Layers of dust/fuzz on custard & cream like its been standing there for some time. Three of the kids in group I went with on the very last time came down sick after eating there. They had obviously eaten something us adults hadn't and it upset their little tummies which resulted in vomiting & stomach cramps. Not one great experiences in the 3 separate visits !
L. C.
Polite friendly staff. Have been here several times but today's experience was not the same, the food was very bland and I felt over priced, the Mediterranean mixed grill was not a mixed grill it was dry chicken with dry rice.
C. O.
We had the carvery. Food could have been hotter, a better choice of vegetables and the dishes replenished quicker might have helped. We were faced with the end bits of most dishes.
D. C.
Realy good food and nice and friendly staff
J. S.
Fish & chip bar was stale - old chips and food that had been sitting around for a while. We were refunded after complaining. Meals ordered off the menu were much better.
L. G.
It was good, food was very good. It came quite quickly. The only annoying bit was being asked 5 times if everything was ok?? Did we look like the secret shopper!! Lol!! Play area was good but tables uncleared n dirty plates on plates were lurking on every table. Apart from that it was ok. Thank you
S. P.
Grate food and service would recommend a visit
R. W. F.
Great for breakfast & linked to the Premier Inn. Good food on a night, just a lot of children left to run a mock and create carnage when you want to sit and eat quietly. In a week it'll be closed down and rebranded as a Brewers Fayre.
C. C.
Get here before 6 and enjoy 2 meals for £9. It's next to the cinema and it's s lovely place to relax and eat. Great food and service with a smile.
s. b.
Love this place since changed from Taybarns. Cheap meals but you still get loads for your money . Play area for kids is good aswell. Always clean , loads of parking , as cinema round corner .
J. P.
Had a lovely family afternoon with the kiddies who could play in the play area. Then we all had food very nice n reasonably priced. Kiddies had refillable pop bonus!!
R. D.
Great friendly place, not busy on our visit, highly recommend the sausage and mash with onion gravy, would recommend a visit
P. C.
Was here for a work meeting great staff looked after us all day. Food was great for lunch made a good day for work
c. h.
Thankyou for your great hospitality for allowing us to use your venue to have breakfast as a large group. And for also looking after our kids to see santa was a big surprise.
Thankyou
From Past present and future car club
B. Y.
Lovely place, food hot and plentiful. Staff helpful and friendly.
M. J.
Staff were very helpful especially with my wife's gluten & dairy intolerance. Food was very good and every one in our party of 7 enjoyed what they had.
S. Y.
Good place for food and gathering.
L. H.
The most important thing in business keep your customers happy, meal was outstanding, but no soup as stated on receipt, ice cream pudding was more like cream staff friendly, but no one asked if meal was ok, toilet facilities could be better maintained, would go there at a push as stated 3 out 5
L.
Always nice to ho back for breakfast. Staff extremely friendly and food delicious. I am sorry for my one year's old spilled yoghurt 🙈🙈🙈
M. X.
Breakfast was really nice, plenty of choice and value for money as children eat free. Cannot say the same for the food at lunchtime and dinner though. That is awful. But the breakfast is lovely.
B.
Basic. You know what you're getting. Not too expensive but please make sure the glasses are clean. Second time in the row when we were give dirty glasses. It is obviously not clean if it still has a lemon stuck to it from previous night.
Ignorant day time shift manager as well.
D. T.
Excellent service. Rosin the waitress was first class. She always remembers my family and gives a totally professional and efficient service. The food as always was excellent. Well done.
L. A.
I love their platters! We always go here if were looking for something grilled. Service is nice, food is served still hot.
P. C.
Excellent service, waitress is great in the mornings, breakfast great quality can see no expense spared, little bit pricey for me but get what you pay for.
M. G.
The roast was bloody fanastic and delicious
Great service and very helpful staff
G. “. S.
been there twice been fantastic... the people moaning about a odd dish missing here and there should really go elsewhere and pay full price. staff have been fantastic both the times I've been some people will never be satisfied in life.
L. P. R. H. T.
Lovely food and a nice atmosphere. Children's play area was clean and tidy. Staff were helpful and friendly
T. G.
Brewers fayre is generally a little basic, reflected in the pricing I guess, and if you can put up with the obviously family oriented style and the kids running around then it's good. Not really my thing though
J. S.
Great that you can eat and drink whilst the kids play. Standard of food has not improved since Taybarns which was really disappointing. If it was just based on food quality I would score it a lot lower
S. O.
Hi on my recent visit from Ireland i visited Taybarns in Coventry on monday 19th may 2014, it was my first visit and i was very impressed with the warm welcome we received from the members of staff on duty .The variety of food that was available was extensive and all well presented and any person would find it hard not to find something they did not eat. i really enjoyed everything i sampled and could not find any fault i will certainly be making a return visit next time i'm in England thanks
s. b.
A lovely Sunday roast, plenty of it and nice and hot. Grandson enjoyed the play area, staff friendly. This was our first visit, would visit again
R. S.
Service slow. Had to ask after 30 minutes how long to wait for our meals. When they did arrive they were hot and tasted good.
G. C.
Place was not very busy at the time I visited so it was easy to get a seat. sadly however a few of the dishes were a bit cold. Otherwise it wasn't too bad. reasonable prices, free parking.
A. P.
Nice enough, great for taking the kids, has a play area and friendly staff
D. M.
Unfortunately they have added lots of games to collect tickets so kids drag you there begging for money. Would be good if the soft play was free if you bought food.
L. M.
Sunday roast is lovely but small portion of meat considering how much I paid. Chef is grumpy and rude, bar staff were friendly
P. C.
Have been to a few brewers fayre before, but can definitely say this has been the best one so far. The food was wonderful and service was very good, a very enjoyable evening.
D. B.
Go there once a month with friends and they never disappoint. Food is lovely and staff very friendly. Lovely atmosphere for a catch up
f. o.
Lots of food. Pretty bland for my liking but kids love it here. Friendly staff.
Isn't it closed down now? I would check that before venturing or you'll end up at Frankie & Bennies! 😐
S. B.
Clean venue , efficient. Very good service. Lovely food. And great soft play facilities let us eat our lunch in peace.
R. M.
Lovely place to eat, staff always friendly and welcoming. Beautiful food and very well run establishment. Highly recommend
T. C.
The food is really tasty and fresh. The staff are excellent friendly and helpful checking that everything is ok and whether they can help you with everything.
M. B.
Nice staff very welcoming. regularly cleaning tables around us lovely food very safe.would definitely recommend.thankyou
S. R.
Food was average not the best & not the worst I've ever had
N. L.
Great place to grab a drink with friends after work. Not tried the food yet
M. Z.
Amazing service, amazing food, nice atmosphere. Love it and great for family
T. W.
Great family meal. Didn't have to wait long for food. Friendly staff. Would definitely take family again.
D. P.
Standard Taybarns experience. Eat as much as you like, cheaper if you eat before 18:00 weekdays. Good range of surprisingly reasonable food, including great deserts!
C. T.
We have eaten here a few times and we have nothing but extremely lovely food and service from the waiters. This includes in the main restaurant and the play Area. Highly recommend x
L. B.
Food was OK, my wife wanted the standard carvery and i paid the extra for tbe bigger carvery, but both were the same size. The variety of veg was very limited.
R. L.
Place not to bad food not to good but not bad meals a little expensive if you eat after 6pm as you get the same for more than half the price
P. S.
The food was pretty average, service was a bit slow considering the place wasn't really busy, the atmosphere was pleasant. Would I eat there again? Yes, I probably would.
D. A.
Brilliant food..friendly and helpful staff..Great play area for the kids
G. H.
This is closing soon. There was not a massive choice of food - some of it was not being reordered due to the closure. A little untidy and dirty. However, good value if you like to eat lots of food!
J. B.
Cheerful service. Self-select continental or order-to-table cooked breakfast as much as you want. This is the restaurant that us associated with nearby Premier Inn - where you come for breakfast.
E. H.
Good choice for a breakfast stop.cooked food well prepared with plenty of choice on the continental breakfast. Nice staff.
Can recommend.
J. M.
Large place so we had no issues finding a table. Staff were friendly. Food was ok, what you would expect in a place like this.
t. b.
food was nice, had 3 kids with us didnt realise you had to pay £3 per child for the play area! This seems a bit pricey considering the price of the meals!!!
S. M.
Nice place, plenty of room to park, good for the kid's ball pit play area ect, staff were a bit vague, could be a bit chlostofobic, in some parts, (crammed in too close).
T. C.
Nice staff. Average price food, decent meal. More of a family meal out more than anything
C. N.
Good value. Decent time waited for food. Booking requests accomodated. Flat lager, even after getting it changed. Manager was rude and unfriendly.
S. C.
Friendly staff, seems nice & clean and food was nice. Can get busy at times so if more then a couple of you I would recommend booking which you can do online
D. f.
Cheap and cheerful, good covid policies followed well. Food is decent and great value. Staff are very friendly
P. M.
Good food with happy staff and great value, they forgot our drinks hence only 4 stars.
M. C.
Very good food staff nice and helpful.enjoyed going there
J. E.
Great food. Quick to come to the table. And very friendly staff. Perfect lunchtime experience.
J. T.
Friendly staff. Excellent hygiene care. Reliable food standard.
c. t.
Nice looking place. Been to other pubs in this chain. Didn't eat here .just had a couple of pints . Before film as being behind showcase
A. A.
As you would expect from chain restaurant, clean, good service and food at reasonable price. Used it a couple of times on route, worth signing up to their emails for discount offers.
S. T.
The food is nice here, but it can be hit and miss depending on what time of day you go. Good atmosphere for kids though
D. M.
Food was nice and warm and was good value
A. M.
Had a meal before a trip to the cinema. Nice food, friendly staff
A. E.
Mised the old Taybarns but the new restaurant is bright and inviting. Service is excellent and at the table unlike most Brewers Fayre restaurants.
M. P.
It was nice and quiet when I visited, friendly staff, reasonable wait time and the pub grub menu was varied and normal enough for anyone to get along with.
M. J.
I went on a busy Saturday and I'd never heard of Taybarns before, the whole setup seemed just counter intuitive, I got ignored by staff, people jumped queues, most staff seemed clueless. Never going to another Taybarns again
A. h.
Food was nice
Reasonable price
No bad points really
C. C.
Omg, this place is amazing. The food quality and selection is fantastic nit to mention the deserts were fantastic. I must say i will be bringing the whole family bck with me next time.
B. R.
Nice breakfast in nice surroundings. Great staff. Good value if you have a large appetite
B. F.
Food and service varies depending on which staff are in. Play centre staff are friendly but busy so children not always supervised. Toilets always cold and untidy.
T. A.
Friendly staff, clean premises, however on this visit the food eg yorkshire beef wrapp was under par, but won't stop us going back again
J. B.
Had to ask for wine glasses to be changed as not very clean and sundae dish had big chip on base, otherwise meal was delicious
R. A. B.
I tipped him and we got to the destination very quickly. Happy customer 😁
J. W.
Good food at fair prices and quick service. Brilliant indoor play area for the grand kids.
S.
Staff were friendly, polite and efficient. Good range of food, reasonable prices.
P. A.
There was a mix up with out order but the chef, waitress and manager made sure it was fixed and we were happy. They seemed to care!
J. L.
Just popped in for a drink in the bar area, not for a meal, it was fine we bought some peanuts as they weren't serving snacks in that area, it was a Friday night and our daughter was at the cinema with her friend.
E. M.
It was lovely, food was great thanks for a lovely time

Food was nice. Good service. Was nice and quiet when we went as well
S.
The children liked the place . But my only problem was the price , you have to pay for stay and play even if you buy food .
B. F.
Lovely evening, great staff, was expecting half hour food wait but only took 10 mins. Deffo coming back
M. C.
Food good staff friendly service not very fast.

Pleasant atmosphere, good food and choice. Staff friendly and helpful. Clean and calm.
T. H.
Second time I've been, first time just after it opened and food wasn't very good, this time I had the mixed grill and it was excellent,
J. B.
I don't hate it my meal came out wrong when I asked for my steak to be cooked medium well instead of medium rare or even rare she told me and I quote you haven't tried it yet with an attitude of you just want to complain
R. S.
Great selection of food. Too a bit longer than I expected for food but the quality made up for the delay.
d. c.
Fantastic food for the price but soft drinks very expensive staff were excellent
F. G.
Good choice of food. But nothing stood out as really good?? Good to feed a fussy bunch as you can all have different things. And eat as much as you want for a set price
j. p.
The breakfast food is great and good value for money. Its normally fairly quiet after 8:30 and staff are friendly.
A. W.
Usually worth a four star but on this occasion the food was late and cold.
F. F.
