Rating this for the (Premier Inn) breakfast. Phil and his wife are brilliant hosts, absolutely nailed customer service to perfection. Service was prompt and friendly, perfect welcome for an early morning. Just the right levels of interaction. Food is cooked fresh to order rather than a buffet and was delicious, fresh and hot. You get the same full selection as with the normal buffet. Nice to see vegetarian options for a full English experience. There was also the continental breakfast options on the buffet.

We look a beefeater and we drove ten minutes off route to try this one out. It didn't dissapoint. Welcoming and friendly service from Leigh and Lewis. Cooked fresh breakfast with plenty of continental options. Leigh and Lewis were smartly dressed and despite it being a busy morning were fully in control of everything. A smile goes a long way and it was clear they are happy delivering great customer service. The George in the Tree was spotless inside, perhaps could do with a lick of paint outside but this didn't detract one bit from what was a pleasant experience. Would 100% visit again if we are in the area.

Had Christmas Dinner today (Christmas Day). Service very good considering the venue was full and peak time (1:30 -3pm). Waiter checked our pre ordered choices with us before serving Food - No complaints Atmosphere - very good, helped by the decorations. Went with friends to take advantage of a promotional offer. At first thought we'd missed out as our friends had got a table in the bar area where you can normally eat, but was told due to staffing issues restaurant could only do food served in that area. Initially, very disappointed, the manager came back to us, after 5 minutes, to give us the good news he'd managed to get us a table! Great work 👏 All had steaks, my Ribeye was spot on, one fillet a little on the rare side but it was quite thick and was enjoyed anyway. Normal steak accompaniments mushroom, tomato, etc. Bottle of wine for our wives with promotional cocktails for them too, we all had a great night. Service was friendly and efficient. It is quite loud as a venue, but that's a sign of people enjoying themselves. Thanks again to the manager for slotting us in 👍

We stayed in the Premier Inn next door overnight, so we had our evening meal and breakfast at the Beefeater. The evening meal was an ok experience, though not great. Staff felt rushed, and a little curt with us, our drink order was incorrect, and we had to wait a little while for service. The food came from the kitchen ok though, was hot and fresh, well presented and as ordered. The pudding was a little disappointing though, being quite pricy for a very small portion. Breakfast was a much more pleasant experience though, with much more friendly staff, a nice buffet selection, and our cooked breakfast was generally excellent - all apart from the veggie sausage, which my wife said was tough enough to be inedible. Overall an average experience. Reasonable food and prices, ok decor and reasonable comfort.

It was so good to see that this place has come back. We both had a two course meal and two drinks (at £40.00) off the lunchtime menu with the split for food just less than £20.00. The food was excellent for the cost, I had sirloin and my wife had a lasagne. My wife couldn't finish her lasagne so I got to taste that as well, so good I finished it! The service was excellent and courteous. We shall definitely start using the George in the tree again.

Fairly typical chain pub food, reasonably priced. While the outside is a little tired looking, inside is pleasant. As with any pub or restaurant, the staff are what can make or break your visit. While the bar staff were OK, we were lucky enough to have Becky and Penny as our waiting staff. They were amazing, run off their feet but still really friendly, coming back to check our food was OK and always with a smile on their faces.

Good main meal but poor deserts. I had the blackforst trifle with kirsch cherries, which had no cherries and a lack any flavour of kirsch . My partner had the apple crumble which had hardly any apple in it.

The Beefeater car park is just off the roundabout at the edge of the A452 dual carriageway. We were greeted like old friends though it was our first visit. Cost is ££ with good quality and substantial meals. Will visit again in the near future.

The George In The Tree, part of the Beafeater chain, is a lovely public house with a wide choice of food and drinks that will suit all tastes. There are spacious rooms with sensibly spaced seating areas. A large parking area is easily accessed off the main road going from Balsall Common through to Stonebridge, from which there is wheelchair access at the main entrance of the pub, if needed. The landlord, Mark is particularly friendly, taking personal interest in his customers, which creates a lasting impression. Well done Mark, thank you. We shall be back!

Can't fault the George. We probably go there on average about once a month. Claire & co provide really good service, and the prices are very reasonable. Food is always good, although I always leave some because I always over order, which means our dog always enjoys us going there, even if he doesn't come himself. Although the range on the menu has been cut down somewhat since Covid (or is it Brexit), they are always flexible and happy to make me an Eton Mess Sundae even though it's no longer on the menu. Nice food, nice service, reasonable price. Can't say fairer than that.

Went here for a 50th birthday, we had a big group of 18 and 2 of the serving staff with us were absolutely excellent, the girl was very patient and keen to ensure that we had a great experience even with us being a big group. The food came out promptly and together, the only downside was that one of the waitresses seemed to have no idea what she was bringing out and couldn't tell the difference between the cuts of steak and how they were cooked so some people ended up with the wrong meal. The food however was really tasty and the evening as a whole was lovely.

I went christmas day and there was 8 of us,our dinner was booked for 3pm and we finally sat down and got our starter at 4.20pm the service was bad ,we asked for some mustard we never got it and all the cutlery was plonked on the table to share out ,when you paying £55 a head you expect good service .

House wine was very nice and the mixed grill was genuinely one of the best I've had for that money. All in all a reliable and budget friendly meal out. Only draw back is that, as with all premier inn paired places, service can be slow as they are permanently under staffed. That's not the staffs fault so I don't rate it negatively for that.

Booked as a family of 3 for Sunday lunch, however it seems they were understaffed as when we arrived we got seated but had to chase up being served even though there were people arriving after us that were being seated and served before us. Even through the meal we had to chase up staff for drinks or food. This wouldn't normally be an issue but we felt like we were sat in no man's land as people on either side of us were served attentively but not one server seemed to take charge of our table. The food was ok but would of been nicer if had of been hot, Shame as I had good memories of the beefeater but this wasn't the best of experiences.

The prices are not exactly reasonable, miniscule difference between Beefeater and other gastro pubs that have vastly more interesting and diverse menus. The second issue is illustrated by the image, the food really isn't that good. Smoked salmon starter didn't melt in the mouth and watercress was anemic at best. Marketing image and reality don't match

Just want to give a big shout out to Craig the chef. We were staying at the Premier Inn and he went out of his way on two separate occasions to provide a special meal which wasn`t on the standard menu for my husband who has many allergies. The meals were excellent and both he and the waiting staff have to be congratulated on their knowledge of allergies (not just the common ones like gluten, but also regarding all the products now containing rape seed oil etc)). We will definitely be back.

But when we ordered what turned out to be 2 mains and a starter, the kitchen wasn't told they were all to be served together, when the person taking the order should have told them. Or at least asked if we wanted them served at the same time. As two of the party had been very delayed, and their food had been ordered in advance because they were hungry, it was disappointing that I should have needed to specify all the items to be served at the same time.

Just got back after spending a couple of days in the Premier Inn next door to this Beefeater. Had 2 evening meals and 2 breakfasts. Had the steak burgers the 1st night and ever mouthful was delish. Steak the 2nd night and that was equally delish. The continental breakfasts were a little dull but the cooked breakfast was lovely. Very friendly staff in the evening and morning. Must say this is a typical pub next to a Premier Inn. Have eaten breakfast here several times on way to shows at the NEC. Great place to stop as it's only a stone's throw from the exbibition centre. Breakfast always good. A tip if you are going to the NEC is to park at the Railway Station. Only £5 after 10 but any time on Sat & Sun.
