Really good experience. Fun and different. Great themed restaurant with interesting decor and lots of different areas to dine. Delightful staff and service, food really good too. Typical BBQ smokehouse cuisine with lots to choose from the menu. We just had the main. The complimentary popcorn was a fun nice touch. Would highly recommend if BBQ is your stuff.

Really nice food, presented beautifully. Visited on a quiet Friday afternoon for early dinner and had a pleasant time. Staff were welcoming and courteous. Food was hot and delicious. It's quite a slow paced restaurant in the afternoon which was nice and made for a relaxed atmosphere. Lots of parking available and free. Food slightly on the pricer end of pub food but great as a treat.

A truly 5 star restaurant. The food is great quality, (I would recommend ghe platter with sides if you are a big eater). We went for one of our friends birthday. On the table was free nibbles and a 'Happy Birthday' message, after the meal and dessert our server (along with 2 others) came a brought a cake on a board with a happy birthday message and sang to him. A nice touch 👌.

Wish I'd taken more photos but I was too busy enjoying the food. Had a Canadian visiting who asked for steak and then matched me with the brisket! Chips crisp, coleslaw was crunchy, bourbon sauce was a winner. Very impressed with the service and the Southern Style welcome. Second course I remembered the raspberry lemonade it's so good would come back just to drink this!

Understandably a smokehouse isn’t the first choice destination for a vegetarian, but there were a few options like mushroom fajitas and salads. I had the cob salad, which looks plain from the picture but was really tasty. Staff were nice

Really enjoyed our evening at Hickorys. I booked 2 tables online and on arrival asked if we could be located close together. The staff asked if we would be happy to wait slightly longer to be all together and sorted us out a big table for all 9 or us. This excellent service continued throughout the night, all the staff were friendly, helpful and good fun. The food was also very, very good!

A very busy Friday night at Burton Green hickory smokehouse...but the staff there handled wverything very well indeed, from the lads behind the bar serving great attitudes and drinks, to the waiting on staff being friendly and showing nothing was too much trouble, then the food arrived and it was clear the chefs deliver everything that goes out the kitchen perfectly every time. An extremely enjoyable meal out in a welcoming and friendly venue, we will be back but this time bringing family along with us. Well done Burton Green!!

Have visited Hickorys on a number of occasions and can only remember once where I wasn't massively impressed with the food. That being said, the food is good/very good the majority of the time and the staff are always excellent. If I'm being honest, it's the service that is the biggest factor in me coming back here. Everytime I have been, the staff are always friendly, helpful, approachable and just nice to be around. Cannot fault the service they give, I don't even mind the fact they add a tip automatically to the bill (and I'm very tight with money!) as they do earn the little extra imo by doing their job well. Went for lunch with family to celebrate my sons 20th birthday today and was probably the best visit yet. There were 6 of us to start off with and we were having such a good time we ended up grabbing my 2 other kids from school and stayed for dinner! Wallet was lighter than when I arrived but everyone had a great time so money well spent. Thank you Hickorys! 😊

Fantastic place for food! The atmosphere throughout was brilliant! I had the pulled pork with beans and skin on fries with coleslaw and the presentation was well thought-out and authentic which matched the feel and decor. The rump steak was cooked beautifully which we ordered and the best steak I've had in a very long time! The price is very reasonable. We came at 7pm on a Thursday night and it wasn't overly busy. It's very nice for a catch up with family or friends and they have music playing through speakers to match the vibe. Will certainly return! Thank you to the staff who were awesome and looked after us !

The place is lovely and the staff are very friendly. The free popcorn is delicious. We celebrated our anniversary and my wife's birthday here. We ordered the platter for two and another 2 mains plus drinks. For a family of four, 2 adults and 2 pre teens, that was more than enough. The portions served are very generous. Starters and desert was lovely. Main was a big let down. Had the sharing platter and the chicken wings and ribs were dry and the brisket was so dry it was in edible, it was like we got left over scrap pieces from the day before. When we told the waitress she just said "yeah I know the brisket is very hit and miss". Not sure why they would serve something hit and miss.

Dropped in to Hickory's on Tuesday lunchtime for a quick lunch. Had the new 'daily deal' hot heaven. Absolutely faultless. Great service and really nice food. Props to the kitchen for absolutely nailing the chicken wings as well, proper full wings (not half a wing like a lot of places) perfectly crispy on the outside without being dry on the inside.

Great place to eat. Food delivered within 30ish minutes in a half full restaurant, which was quite quick in my opinion. Portions are large, I never finish mine. Food is well cooked, never had any complaints in 3 visits. Staff are friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking. Both indoor and outdoor tables, they even have little huts in the back if you have animals. The only real negative would be the price, it's quite an expensive place.

Pretty average food tbh. We ordered full racks of ribs and they didn't have any. The half rack tasted nice but was a bit dry, even with BBQ sauce. Wasn't anything special and probably wouldn't visit again.

Visited with my partner recently on our anniversary. The staff were lovely and welcoming, especially Ashton behind the bar who made sure we had a great night. The food was delicious, the cowboy steak being a particular highlight, along with the Louisiana cheese cake. We look forward to visiting again in the near future.

I can't fault it too much. The menu (providing you're not vegetarian) is great - the hardest part about a trip to Hickories is deciding what to have! The food is fantastic. The drinks (especially their sodas that come in mason jars) are great. The service is pretty good too, everyone is friendly with only occasional minor mistakes in orders, etc. If you have room for dessert, I URGE you to try the FroCo (frozen custard), it's well worth it even if you share with someone. Overall a really nice place to visit when you get that "I want a really nice piece of meat" feeling! Would have taken more photos, but the food looked so good it was gone before I thought to take any! Adding photo of dessert - two ice cream sandwiches and some churros. Minus one star for the ice cream sandwich that, although features the aforementioned FroCo, did come with an overdone pair of cookies that were too hard to enjoy. Please slightly undercook them in future? 🙏

Cannot thank all the staff at hickories enough! From start to finish every member of staff that served us were brilliant. I didn’t quite catch everyone’s name but James and Jordan were constantly asking if we needed anything else along with the young waiter (didn’t catch his name). The food was bang on and they even threw in a few free drinks. We come hickories a lot and always enjoy it but tonight’s visit was outstanding. The bar staff were absolutely brilliant, two young blokes behind the bar were making up random cocktails on preferences what we liked and they were absoloutely amazing!! It’s so nice to see how happy all of the bar staff are at hickories, like one big family. Thank you so much for a fantastic night.

I really enjoy visiting this restaurant for the theme alone - the decor is great, and really well done. The food is great too, with plenty of options, but is all very meat heavy, so if this isn't your thing, you might want to go elsewhere - just check the menu first! I had a caesar salad, which was not fab.. the leaves were a bit brown, and the bacon was coated in syrup that made it way too sweet for the salad. My cheese pretzel starter on the other hand was delish! Everyone else at the table thoroughly enjoyed their food, and I definitely would go back, this time paying closer attention to what I'm ordering!

A really great place when you have 6 children to entertain at once, this is our family go-to. Delicious food, great cocktails and mock-tails, the kids love the suer thick milkshakes and the staff are always attentive. Cinema for the kids means you are guaranteed some respite at least!

Went for a family birthday meal on Tuesday evening at 5pm. Table of 16. Staff were all very friendly and welcoming on arrival. Some of the party were late so we had drinks in the garden while we waited. The table tennis was great as kept thr birthday boy entertained while we waited. Lovely big garden for kids to run around away from tables and other customers. Gorgeous little out door heated booths too that I'd love to try in future. Our server was Luke and he was excellent. Helped with the menu, quick with drinks and really great in general. Had a little tour of the Pit Masters smoke room which was great ( plus a little sample of the brisket! Delicious 😋) Was so impressed as ALL 16 meals came out at the same time and all perfect! Everyone was really impressed by the quality and taste of their food. Some of the portions didn't look huge but once people finished they were all more than happy with what they'd had. Then there were desserts. Again everyone was very impressed! As it was a birthday they came out with a sparkler and ice-cream for the bday boy which was a really nice touch! Overall I could not fault this restaurant at all! I'm not generous with 5 star reviews but in this case it's thoroughly deserved. Let me get the one negative out of what way first. I like my food on plates. Even if it is barbecue. Serving on a wooden tray with three different containers on it does nothing for me. Now that's out of the way; the things they do well. The welcome was very warm, as soon as we were seated a bottle of chilled water was presented before the drinks menu. In fact service throughout was great. Attentive without hovering. The decor is very tastefully done. It speaks smokehouse without being crass. And finally the food. I've never eaten such tasty barbecue food before. They're clearly passionate about taste and it shows. Full of flavour, generous portions and piping hot. Amazing, can't wait to go again.

Food is nice and has a lot of options some of the portions are quite small for the price but would defiantly go back. The service is good and staff are fast, my last trip I had a southern chicken burger and my chips were cold told the waitress and she exchanged them no problem replated my food. Did notice a label on the lemon in my drink which didn’t bother me but would be good to see the chefs etc pay a little more attention to that easily avoided mistakes and this place would be fantastic 👌🏻 overall though would recommend book in advance to avoid disappointment as often busy.

Great bar, sometimes your server is told to do another job like reception desk/greeter therefore you don’t get the full attention you the customer deserve, so when you go to tip your server has only done a small job and the credit goes to the other person cashing in your bill. Friendly management and great vibes, very family oriented, and was even offered some of my left over food to take away which I declined as we found our chicken wings drowned in sauce. We were sat outside in the huts, the huts had heaters and they put out blankets for us as well, later found out on paying they can provide hot water bottles too. Food definitely worth the price, not expensive but not cheap either. Would definitely go again.

The choice is good if you like meat. The beef brisket was a hit. But unfortunately the restaurant doesn't have Aircon and we went there on the hottest day of the year so were quite uncomfortable. But the garden area out the back was a nice surprise which also had a table tennis table. A pleasant place to sit when the weather is good.

Great menu with brilliant service. Having said that we cut our visit short as the brilliant music they play is so, so very loud you can't hear each other to have a conversation. That is the only downside. Would loved to have stayed for more drinks and desert but we left and went to a local pub so that we may have a chat and a catch up without having to shout at each other and still not hear. Such a shame as it really is a lovely place.

I'm a big smoked meat and bbq fan, meat in general as you might guess and as Bbq joints go this is right up there. A super selection of smoked and mixed meats. The sausage and brisket are epic, ribs and mac n cheese are great, monster onion rings as well. I have a suggestion though, for the chicken and waffles, it should be two thigh pieces rather than breast, more succulent and flavourful and makes a better combo. I've been a couple of times and the staff are great in person as well as email comms. Nailed it guys, keep up the awesome work!

I am American and from the South and this food is the best southern bbq I’ve ever had outside of the South! Not only was the food incredible, the service was THE BEST I’ve literally ever experienced anywhere in the world!!! I’m not exaggerating when I say it was the BEST service I’ve ever received ever! Everyone was extremely friendly and nothing felt like an inconvenience. I have to give Andy B a massive shoutout because it was really him who helped make our family’s anniversary dinner memorable…we are still talking about it two days later! I cannot recommend Hickory’s Burton Green enough! If you’re looking for a bbq fix, THIS IS THE PLACE!!!! Thank you Andy B and staff for making us feel so special from start to finish! Been twice recently . 1st time was nice Onion rings, mac n cheese tasty defo recommend the grape and vanilla vodka mix it was beautiful. I was disappointed about the wings as they were a little too dry for me especially as being advertised as succulent ! 2nd visit we went late during the week food was cold .kids mac n cheese meal wasn't worth it better off getting the mac n cheese off the sides menu as tasted and looked much better Brisket defo a must !. Desserts n milkshakes well worth it. Would recommend as a special Treat. Although I was aware from my last visit I forgot they add on the tip which didn't really make sense as I believe I paid about 6.83 which I feel is an odd tip and would work better if they round it to the nearest whole pound or something its quite a sneaky way of adding tips ppl may not have wanted to give. Besides that it is a good place to visit.

Highly recommend the sharing platter. Was a huge amount of food could have easily fed 3-4 people. We went on a Wednesday night and it was packed. Make sure you book a table as we overheard them say it was a minimum 2 hour wait if you hadn't booked. The service was great despite it being busy had a bit of a wait for our drink, our starter actually came first but I think because so many people wanted to eat there they were happy to wait at the bar which obviously made them even busier. We mentioned it to our waitress and they were being poured as we spoke. Great choice in non alcoholic drinks which suited me as a designated driver. And a great choice in craft beer which suited my partner. Thought it was amazing that they boxes up the food that we couldn't finish. More places should do this would save on so much waste. We had it for dinner the following night. Looking forward to going back. Next time I'll have something smaller so I can tuck into a dessert. 🍿🍔🍗🍖🍦. Oh they also serve salted popcorn on arrival. Was very salty but I liked the idea.

Went here for breakfast on a Sunday morning and as such the food was decent albeit a bit more than I would usually pay for a full english. My girlfriend went for the full english breakfast while I had ordered the vegan breakfast. The breakfast tasted alright. Complaints; the griddled eggs that I got with the vegan breakfast did not have a runny yolk and was a bit rubbery and the the potatoes that came with it were a bit tired. Plus I had no butter for my toast while they provided the full english with two packets. Serves me right for being vegetarian that day! Saying that, my girlfriend loved what she had and the ambiance! Isn't that the most important thing?🙄

Great tasting food but the portions are large so you need to be very hungry to get through it all. There is the benefit of being able to take home food you don't eat if you want to. If on a calorie controlled diet, this is not the place for you as a lot of things on the menu are your whole daily allowance.

Maybe they were having a bad night, but they were extremely unpleasant and made it very obvious they did not want to be there.

Fantastic. Called in ‘on spec’ on Thursday lunchtime. Never been before. My Son had just got married at Coventry Registry. This place made the 8 of us feel like Royalty. I’ve never had Service as good, right from when the first Waiter offered to buy our coffees out of his own pocket as a wedding gift ! For an hour and a half they couldn’t have done more for us, or in a better way. My lad has little money but he felt on Top of the World just as if he’d paid for a Banquet. Brilliant. Oh, and the food ( we only had Sweets) was fantastic. I had a ( new, apparently) concoction of Lemon Cheesecake which was unlike any I’d had before. Delicious. Couldn’t recommend the place highly enough, and I’m not often one to say that.

Drinks are freaking amazing, wish I could drink them more but I'm usually the designated driver. All the food is really good that I've had so far - been here several times trying the platter, a burger, fried chicken, corndogs, multiple starters, pancakes, waffles, desserts. I've not disliked a single thing yet and think the fried chicken is comparable to being better than KFC and the like which I get some most times I get here. Servers are always really nice, atmosphere feels very American, definitely recommend a visit here!!!!

This was the 2nd time that I had visited Hickory's Smokehouse. The reason for returning was mainly down to how amazing the food was 6 months ago when I visited. Unfortunately, on this visit it completely failed to live up to expectations. Although the food that came out looked amazing, it just lacked taste. One of our party had ribs that were so dry and overcooked they were borderline inedible and had to be sent back. I really hope that this was a one off and that the restaurant hasn't gone downhill

All the staff working here are very polite and welcoming and even put a plaque on our table wishing my wife a happy birthday, lovely and thoughtful touch. My wife had the brisket which she thoroughly enjoyed and I had the platter for one which was out of this world. Mixed feelings, food is always to same standards. Though seems maple syrup is being rationed. Some of the staff were good and others not so good. It has been a tough time recently. It does feel like the staff have been trained to say certain things or act in a certain way. It can be hard to make sincere small talk with unknown customers. Why would most of the staff care what I am getting up to for the rest of the day? Just be a warm version of yourself and sound less scripted. Back again, staff were fantastic and food was great.

A good representation of BBQ cuisine in the southern USA. I've been to a few of the top places in Arizona, Texas, Tennessee and for a small chain in the middle of the UK this is actually pretty good. Missing a few iconic staples like 'biscuits' but the meat itself is good and well seasoned. The brisket mac and cheese is epic. Brisket is a good choice in general. I highly recommend the smokehouse platter to share as a good taste of everything on offer. The staff were lovely, especially front of house, a few of the staff were a bit sullen, which goes against the southern food service spirit, but that's a minor thing really. Definitely coming again!

It’s been such a long time since I have walked out of a restaurant so happy. What makes this place so good, outside of the fabulous food, are the staff and the service they provide. Even during these testing times, and working away on a glorious Bank Holiday; all of them provided brilliant customer service and really made us feel appreciated and welcomed. We were in town for 1 night and although we couldn't book a table in advance because they were fully booked they were happy to make room for us. They explained the menu thoroughly and we decided on the smokehouse platter ofcourse! As neither of us eat chicken wings they were more than happy to swap that with something else we preferred. The food was delicious...pricey, but well worth it for a treat! Our waiter was absolutely lovely and helpful, so a shoutout to Tanay! The only thing I can say bad about the restaurant is that they add a 7.5% tip ontop of the bill. We ofcourse don't mind paying a tip and always tip at least 10%, but a portion of the tips are donated to charity. Although this is great I don't think the donation should come out of the tipjar, but the donation for the charity should be paid directly from the business's profits.

The service is always fantastic and the food is great. The only issue I have is the value for money for the meat platter (which is what I always order). The platter is advertised on the menu as being for 2 people but there is an option to have it for one and pay less. When ordering for one you receive a very large potion and I actually struggle to finish it. When it's ordered for two people the portion sizes are reduced quite significantly (only one slice of brisket per person rather than 2, the sausage is half the size, smaller short rib portion). I can't knock the taste of the food though and again, the service is always outstanding.

The more I come here the more I appreciate just how good this place is. I've been here to eat and it is fantastic, the portions are very generous, so much so that you may want to discuss your choices with your server! I've deliberately visited at random times for food, a drink at the bar etc and the service is comparable to what you would get in the states minus the bullshit! Great for families, couples, a beer with colleagues or a quiet drink on your own. Can't speak highly enough of the relaxed atmosphere, the quality of the service,the people...can't call them staff they're better than that! The atmosphere was perfect with comfortable seating, good lay out, American rock music in the background and it even has a cinema room to keep the kids entertained. The steak didn't look like a 8oz and was tuff and took some chewing. Not a fan of the brown sauce in the pot either wanted more flavour that complemented the steak but it didn't. Liked the way they served the chips in the metal cup brought back memories of my childhood. Would I go again maybe one more try has the place was crowned.

Great venue. Nice atmosphere and bar with American sports on. Service was pretty good. The Kids Cinema room is a nice touch. Would like to see the place succeed as I lived in the village for 20 years. However the food is just plain average. 2nd time here, gave it another shot after being dissapointed first time round. 6 of us dined this time. Chicken burgers, beef burgers, Brisket main, Brisket Sandwich and Southern Fried Chicken starter. All very average and the sauces were not very nice. Hoped for better, but as it's a chain I'm not expecting any immediate improvement. Real shame.
