Excellent customer service & gorgerous restaurant interiors. I had the 16oz medium rare 30 day aged steak and the proportion was enough for 2 persons. With 3 sides & 2 non-alcoholic drinks, the bill was around £50 which is very reasonably cost-effective. Only one cons: I expected a little more from the steak quality since it is aged steak but frankly it tastes no difference from regular steaks.

Love this place. First time visiting with a friend. Waitress was very friendly. We did wait a while at the desk and noone was there even though it was empty. We had a voucher to use which was about to expire so only paid about £10 extra.

We were served by Alicia, (im not sure if I’m spelling that correctly) from the minute she introduced herself to us leaving she was amazing, friendly, helpful, lovey personality, she went above and beyond and brought over a glass of wine on a tray that said ‘happy birthday’ with a candle, couldn’t of been happier with the service, definitely a staff member worth treasuring! For her service alone, would definitely recommend and visit again!

We visited to celebrate my partners birthday. We all enjoyed our food and the menu has a great selection. There was a bit of a wait between ordering drinks and food. The wait for our main was a bit long but is what you would expect on a Saturday night. Our waitress Helen was very friendly and attentive. She made our visit enjoyable so kudos to Helen. Booked a table for 2 last minute, we arrived around 10 minutes early and got seated straight away. The order was taken soon after and everything arrived very quickly. The food was lovely. My mushroom sauce was a bit watery but the server replaced it for a different one with no issues. We had a lovely meal.

We had such a lovely meal here. We hadn't booked and they said it would be 1/2 hour wait, which wasn't a problem. We ended up being seated well before the 1/2 hour and our waitress Ann was fantastic! She really made sure we were looked after and made our meal extra special. It's so lovely to feel like you are valued as a person and that's what Ann did for us! 5*! we will definitely be back.

The venue, staff, ambiance and food were all wonderful. The only comment I would make and it is in no way negative. I just don't understand the wedge of iceberg lettuce with sauce? And the onion loaf same kind of deal. Not sure why these items were park of my meal. They were both tasty but I did not finish them. Our bread board was brilliant also. We really enjoyed the experience. We will recommend to friends and family and will be visiting again. The steak(30 day ribeye 12 Oz) was the best I have ever had. Most impressed.

Celebrated our anniversary here, was served by Lauren who was brilliant from start to finish. Great food, great service and worth every penny. Lauren was great the entire night, checked in on us regularly but not too much as to annoy us, knew her stuff about the menu too. Very impressed all round

Arrived a few minutes early, which despite tables being visibly free, were told to wait, which we did for approx. 15mins. Then offered alternative table as the initial table offered unsuitable. Service fine, BUT wrong initial drink given to my wife - it was changed. Starters satisfactory. Incorrect main course delivered to my wife, it took several minutes to correct this error. Steak sauce provided with my steak, which I had not asked for - but no problem, I simply left it. The meal itself was good, in fact the steaks were excellent and were cooked correctly. The server was good and she co-ordinated correcting the errors - we have no fault to find with her whatsoever. The problems appeared to be after the order had been lodged with the kitchen and the fact that there seemed to be some staffing shortages. We would have expected a better initial reception and delivery of our mains order. It certainly took the edge off the evening. More front of house attention required and smoother organisation of order implementation and delivery. A good meal, (we would not fault any of the dishes or food quality) let down by avoidable mix ups over the main course for my wife.

Service was great. Starter (prawn and crab cocktail) was gritty and bland. The crab hadn't been cleaned properly, the avocado was bitter and there was no lemon. The steaks were perfect and the dessert was delicious. The blue cheese dressing and crumbles was amazing as was the honey mustard bacon dressing. Highly recommend the beef dripping sauce. The Diane sauce was bland.

The service of Miller & Carter is always great, the steaks are good quality. The only think that lets this restaurant down is the interiors. Damaged walls, furniture missing panels, bulbs missing. It doesnt detract from an overall good experience, but does prevent it from being great in my books.

Overall experience ok. Ordered 30day aged sirloin medium rare which was more like well done. Had the triple cooked chips, this is what really let it down, they weren't cooked once let alone three times. You might say why rate the chips when your at a steak restaurant. First time we went we gave 5star review. This time we got put in a side room and felt like we were in detention. My husband ordered a drink (double vodka and lemonade) from the bar through our waitor and it came with no vodka in. These were our first drinks so it was very obvious. My steak was very well done despite me asking for it to be medium rare and my husband asked for well done and it came medium rare. They were different cuts of steak but we swapped as didn't want to wait a while for 2 new meals all over again. We were offered a free drink to celebrate my birthday but it never came. Disappointing for a special occasion.

I know there's a cost of living crisis but we feel that the prices of Miller and Carter food has risen to extortionate levels now. I ordered a pork belly bun starter for £7.50 and got 1 slice of pork belly (1 slice!?), plus the steaks are good-excellent but not worth £30+ now. Drinks were also extortionate and until this is reviewed we will not be back to visit again unfortunately (and we used to be very regular regulars so it is a real shame). The bill for 4 of us came to £300 including a generous tip for the hard-working waitress, but this is at least £100 more than in previous visits. We also felt a bit let down by the quality of the sides. The onion loaf was chewy on all our plates, the waitress did her best to get fresh ones but they also came out chewy. In addition, the lobster tail was that over-cooked on my in law's plate, that the meat was stuck to the shell and almost inedible (despite us asking before hand if they could take extra care to avoid this as it had happend before). In the end we just accepted mediocrity rather than complained again. And to reiterate we will be looking for another steakhouse to become regulars at.

My husband and I visited Miller and Carter yesterday evening with a couple of friends, table of 4. The waitress who served us seemed lovely at first but then my friend's husband asked for dauphinoise potato instead of chips with his fillet steak. She said she would have to charge extra. He explained he didn't require any other side on offer, just dauphinoise and he shouldn't be charged for them. I said I'm sure it will be ok as its just another type of potato. She then rolled her eyes and looked very angry. Myself, my friend and her husband are all ex Toby Restaurant managers so know a little bit about the restaurant business! In fact my friend's husband is still a licensee. Another lady seemed to take over then and the food was brought out as it had been ordered and was delicious as usual. I used one of my shareholder discount vouchers against the bill. After the meal we decided to have a last drink in the bar. It was approx 9.50pm when we took a seat in the bar area with our drinks. Then 5-10 minutes later a lad came over and said "Oi you lot! Just to let you know we are shutting up in 15-20 minutes". What way is that to talk to a group of customers who have just spent approx £200 in your establishment!! I won't be rushing back now sadly despite the great food. You need to offer the service too!

We hadn't been to this Miller & Carter before until tonight. We had booked for a table of 5 at 7.15pm. On arrival we were told our table wasn't quite ready, so we headed to the bar for drinks. The bar staff were very helpful n knowledgeable on all aspects of the drinks n bar. 15 mins later our table was ready. So off we went and really looking forward to tasting some of the finest steaks miller n Carter usually offer. Upon starting to order from the menu, we very soon discovered a few disappointing things. My wife really loved the sound of the garlic n minted lamb steak, to be told they have none, so settled for the chicken. I had the 8oz rump. And then my brother asked for 1 of the 50 day aged steaks off the menu, to be told "sorry we have none" he then asked for another of a 50 day aged steak off the menu. Yes u guessed it, "sorry we don't have that either" He had to settle for a rib eye. His girlfriend started to make her order of a steak off the menu, lol yep there it is again, " sorry we don't have any". I even asked if they had a busy day hence not much left. "No" she replied, just an ordinary day really. What we ordered arrived and we did enjoy the meals we had. I do find it a little hard to believe a steak house would not stock almost half of the steak dishes they offer on the menu. Unfortunately I have to say disappointing.

The food was really good. The steaks were made perfectly. I did find the "wedge"strange as it was a wedge of lettuce but it was surprising nice. The crispy onions that came along with the steaks were amazing! The Mac and cheese was good but nothing special. The bacon and cheese burgers were really good! The calamri came with an interesting black sauce which brought out a lot of flavour in the calamri! The cocktails were quick nice too. My only issues were some things were not available at the time we went there, as they had run out. Also the waitresses weren't wearing any mask/gloves which was a little concerning but they kept their distance. Overall the food and atmosphere was lovely!

Went to Miller and Carter on a Sunday afternoon. Our waitress (didn't get her name unfortunately) was amazing! She was really polite without being over friendly. Starters were amazing! (Rum wings and baked cheddar mushrooms) if they did those as a main I'd probably have them, didn't want them to end. Mains were also good, apart from our onion loaf, both were burnt. Desserts delicious, especially the creme brulee! Will definitely be back.

Being a chain I didn't go in with many expectations. But wow, it was great. Had 3 courses which is unlike me but it was at a very good price (less than 30). Had chicken wings to start which were very tasty and small (good). I had the fillet steak with beef drippings which was just to die for, I could have easily had another for dessert. The dessert was a chocolate warm brownie which was standard but very pleasant. Left full and extremely satisfied. Highly recommended for any steak lovers. Extra marks for the lobster mac and cheese!!

There is nothing you could do to improve. Yvonne was our server she was outstanding, funny polite and very professional, with the biggest smile. Also the lady who was the hostess and showed us to our table was very smart fast and efficient. But took the time to notice that I was using a cane to walk, she slowed down immediately pointed out the step and kept looking back to check I was OK.

I cannot rave about this place enough as it was such good quality everything! They are mostly known for their steak which is why my partner wanted to go for our anniversary but they do loads of delicious meals with chicken and lobster and sea bass, we stuck with the thuraday date night which is 3 courses for £25 which is AMAZING value for money at a place where its £25 for just a steak 😍 you can tell that they know what they are doing and what they are talking about because their staff are passionate about the food. As it was our anniversary, they tried to give us 2 glasses of procecco on the house but we didn't feel like that so the kitchen wrote happy anniversary on a plate in chocolate sauce and that was just so special!

Has a couple of steaks in the last few weeks from Miller and Carter via Deliveroo. Went for the 50 day aged ribeye and it was delicious. I usually get a well done steak in a restaurant but they seem to cook things a tad longer for delivery so medium/ well was perfect. Similarly, a couple of months ago I had a rack of ribs but they were overcooked. I’ve been to this restaurant a few times in person and it was better but for a delivery meal, the steak, onions loaf and cheese iceberg wedge with blue cheese is top notch. This was our first visit to an M&C. As the 2nd September being our 25th Wedding Anniversary I wanted to treat my wife to something special. M&C's website certainly presents a very good vibe. I must first of all compliment all of the staff, they are attentive, pleasant and whilst adhering to COVID guidelines they manage to make the experience near "normal". Thank you to all of them who looked after us. Now we come to the meal, my wife had the Filet and she said it was delicious, that pleased me. I had the 50 day aged Ribeye. Unfortunately on cutting into it, I found it tough and even using a Steak Knife I knew immediately that it was not as it should be. On tasting it, I found it chewy and without the 3 pepper sauce would have been very bland. The waitress came over to ask if all was ok, I had to say NO and hate to do that however, when you're paying their prices I think you have the right to say something it things are not right. She was brilliant and offered to change it for whatever I wanted. We agreed I would have a Filet cooked rare. My original meal was taken away and replaced about 10 minutes later by another full plate of "sides" with an 8oz Filet. This steak was what I had expected originally in terms of taste and texture. My compliments to the Chef who cooked it. I did go and say thank you to him before we left. Interestly, I was informed that they had recently had a "spate" of complaints regarding the quality of Ribeye steaks. I fully understand quality can change, but surely once you are aware of the fact, you tell your supplier to up his game or you change to another. On a seperate issue, I was surprised to learn that their choice of 5 sauces offered with the steak actually come out of a Jar!!! When you pay that sort of price for a "Steak au Poivre" which essentially is what we both had, I believe it is reasonable to think the sauce has been made from the juices the steak has created whilst being cooked. Finally, I want to put this review in perspective by saying my wife and I left M&C feeling indifferent about the whole experience. At this time I would ask the management of M&C to re-examine their USP because at the moment they can be compared to "Mutton dressed as Lamb". Sorry about the pun, but this describes our eating experience in understandable terms. At this time I could not recommend M&C for a special meal when there are many other restaurants locally who offer great food which is properly prepared, well cooked and reasonably priced.

My steak was mediocre, far less than I was expecting after people had recommended M&C for great food. It was also supposed to of been medium rare but was very red most of the way through. Yes I could have complained but I wasn't too bothered about it's rarity. I'm very British too so don't like complaining. For such rare steak which is supposed to be aged it didn't have a lot of taste and was a little chewy compared to most I've eaten. Also they have this weird thing, you quite literally get 1/4 of an iceberg lettuce in a bowl with a little drizzle of dressing. I found this bizarre and would prefer a proper side salad that has been lovingly prepared. This I believe is a signature of theirs which frankly doesn't hit the spot.May I add the lettuce is literally ice cold and will freeze your teeth and leave you with chills. My advice is find a good local and spend your money there where they'll greatly appreciate your custom.

Can I just say what a excellent afternoon we've had!!! Never been before and without a doubt will be returning. Can get very busy even in weekdays so better to book ahead. The only criticism that I have is that when I arrived after having booked a table, I had to wait at the front desk for about 5 minutes before someone approached me and escorted me to my table. It is quite embarrassing standing around for that long with other customers staring at you.

Disappointed. Both our meals were served on cold plates which adversely affected the food temperature. We were both too hungry to complain immediately, we told the waitress about this when she returned. As this is a Steak House I was disappointed with my medium well done 8oz rump being medium rare at the thicker end, they offered to 'put it back on' which is unacceptable to me. We left with a discount on the bill but will not be returning.

Visited early evening on Thursday, really lovely food, very friendly and attentive waitress, had a very pleasant evening. Experienced a problem when leaving, as another person had blocked my car in, I had to return and ask a member of staff for assistance. Sorry but I don’t know either of the names but what a response. Very efficient she quickly gave the car reg & description to each waitress/waiter and took it upon herself to help me by asking everyone if they owed the car. Eventually a guy snuck out (to embarrassed to own up) and moved his car to the ample spaces available. But the staff were the real stars of the show, professionalism, helpful and even though I had finished and paid they did not dismiss me and went out of there way to assist and help me, so a big thank you, I really appreciated your assistance and I would not hesitate to return to this establishment, which offers such a warm welcome, good food and excellent customer care.

I was taken here for a Birthday treat and it lived up to the word treat. If you like a nice steak it's the perfect place to go. The food was delicious, cooked perfectly for my taste. The lettuce wedge seemed a strange addition at first. But it was absolutely lovely with a choice of dressing I thoroughly enjoyed it. The restaurant is very comfortable despite being very busy. However, the food and service by Charley more than compensated for the repeated lack of organisation. The 3 course option was cooked, served and timed to perfection, the experience became a wonderful evening out, rather than a dash for food. My partner was impressed with Charley and her 100% genuine ability to communicate a desire to ensure we enjoyed our evening. Would recommend the experience and I hope the initial disorganisation is sorted and bought up to the standard of the food and excellent service.
