If you judge this place from its exterior you would give it a wide birth. However, my son used to work here while at Uni and he suggested we give the food a go. The inside is okay but more like a sports diner than restaurant. It should either be a sports pub or restaurant ... not both. Putting all that to one side, the Indian dishes they serve are superb. So, if you can put the above to one side you won't be disappointed. Just don't take a first date there or your first meal with your in laws. The food is worth it otherwise.

My first time here, Thursday evening and the place was very busy. It was a bit loud to my taste (or I'm just simply deaf...), but the food was very good. The prices are very much acceptable, nearly takeaway prices. The quality however is better than that. Also the service was rather quick. Parking is very good too.

Pleasant surprise! We visited the New Horseshoe as somewhere to go for a few drinks before going to Coventry Arena. Not being local we had no idea what to expect, we all ended up eating because the food looked and smelt so good, we couldnt resist and were not disappointed! Brilliant thank you

The food here was delicious, catered for vegans, vegetarians, gluten free and carnivores. The meat substitutes (which I think is made from soy) are some of the best I have tried and cooked in a way that made the Curries feel authentic. They seated 12 of us and everyone's meal came out at the same time. Great service, well priced and very tasty. Also a well stocked bar with a good variety of drinks. Can't wait to order again!

Our first order from The New Horseshoe and have to say we were really impressed! Fantastic fresh and tasty food, good portions and arrived early. The cheese naan is one of the best we have ever had and all the food was really clean with no grease floating on the top like some places. Slightly disappointed as ordered 3 poppadoms and only got 3...possibly the only Indian restaurant I know that does not send double the amount you ordered but that is not a negative in anyway! Just one of those little things that keep you sweet! 🤣 Keep it up guys, we will be back...for sure! 👌🏻

Food was OK, a bit over spiced so it was difficult to appreciate the flavour of the food. Asked for poppadoms to start but they tried to serve them with the meal. Then to fix this they took the mains back but this caused the meat on the mixed grill to burn and dry out. Had the makings to be really good but it was let down by silly mistakes. However they were really busy, so mistakes are to be expected. I would try again but at a quieter time

Well if you are settled in uk for a long time and have accustomed to the spicy life of uk then this is the place .. if you are from India and new then this spice bracket is very bland as per this a little bit more spicy won't be bad for the grill items. I was in town on business and the three horses came recommended from my Uncle who lives locally. The food was great, the staff service was excellent. I had work colleagues with me and we really enjoyed the atmosphere and the service. Food was not spicy and extras condiments were provided on request. All in all a wonderful experience, plus it has a great variety of whisky at the bar😀

Seriously awesome food, amazing atmosphere and a friendly place. But the place let’s itself down as the toilets are backdated, cold and dirty. Never understood why people do things by halves, they need to see the bigger picture and complete the customer experience to a high standard. Oh well :)

The food was tasty and portion size was good. Price was comparable to other grills. Its new, for a Monday it wasn't packed but busy enough. The place was full of wood so the noise echoed quite a lot and you coudnt hear the music so much. It has its own car park so that's good but it was full of pot holes, not tarmaced and no lighting so difficult to walk up to. Address that and i will give you 5 stars on next visit.

Since giving the review below, a lot of renovation and refurbishment work has been carried out. There is only one pool table now with limited seating in the front part of the pub. All of the back part is now a tastefully decorated family restaurant with a modern design. I can't comment on the quality of the food as I haven't had any yet but the menu is fairly extensive Nice friendly staff and crowd of people. There are two pool tables and regular music

We had my work Xmas dinner at this place. Food was served time. There's huge parking at the rear (though its not tarred). There's a disabled entrances. Waiters are very nice and very knowledgeable of the menu. Overall a nice place for a meal

It is so good to see a really good old fashioned pub get some TLC, it is like a Tardis inside, and wow they have an original Coventry Eagle bike hanging on the wall, never thought I would see one of them again. The staff are really friendly the food was amazing and at a good price. If you fancy really good Punjabi food this is the place you must go to.

Mostly Indian food, very tasty but full of sugar and they seem to use the same sauce for most dishes. No waiters, bar is in a corner. Someone will lazily come out and serve you at the bar whilst mumbling.

Best restaurant in the Midlands! Had the Chicken Curry and a Tandoori Roti and it was the best Indian I have ever had! Grills look out of this world too! Honestly the best roti I have ever ate! Can't recommend this place enough! Very chilled, relaxing environment! Place is smart and tidy and has a really nice modern feel to it! Owners are extremely polite and went above and beyond to meet our needs. Also I have never seen as many vegan options. We partially liked the fact you can order a soya chicken or lamb curry but have whatever curry sauce (from the meats which was great!) Will defiantly be back but with more people! Never had such a pleasurable experience at a restaurant.

I recently had food from here as a takeout. We had a mixed grill, fish pakorey, crispy wings and garlic naan. Having eaten a lot of mixed grills, I have to say I was really impressed with the food. The crispy wings were delicious, I would definitely recommend them! The fish pakorey were the best I have had - it was clear the fish was good quality and coupled with the batter they were so tasty. I can't wait to eat from here again! I am also looking forward to their new restaurant opening on 6th November - The Lazy Monkey in Coventry.

Forget all the others, this one is where they have nailed it. Everything from the decor, to the food, to the carpark.. Yes they have a car park (Stanton, you might as well call it day). The car park huge! Don't worry, you don't have to type your reg into some tablet when you get go inside (Khushi, you might as well call it day too). Unlike other Indian bar grills, especially ones you will find on Wheelwright Lane, you won't get scammed with the food. Order a Chicken Tikka Starter and you will get quality marinated Chicken Breast pieces unlike what you will get elsewhere. You won't have to keep waiting an eternity for someone to bring you some mint sauce (Masala Jack's take note) because you get a whole bottle of it! Order a mixed grill and you won't be disappointed (See my pic). Friendly staff (Micheal at the Stanton, take note) that won't moan if you ask them to get you some salt or any condiments. Comfortable seating and the heating works (take note, Chilli Bites). If you are reading this, don't take my words for how good this place is. Take a visit there and see for yourself. The only criticism I have, is the WC facilities. They could have been made a bit better during the revamp, but I'm sure they will be improved over time. 5 star food and drink at an amazing price. You've gotta give credit to these guys for opening up this special place in Coventry.

It's a very busy pub when we walked in there was no were to sit in the resteraunt as all tables were occupied good for business!!! You need to pre book we went into the bar area less crowded and somewhere at the time to sit the bar man looked after us and we were able to order a meal and eat in the bar noisey but good food and atmosphere 👍👍
