Nice pub and nice food (I ordered the Chilli Double Burger with an upgrade of sweet potato fries). The staff were very polite and friendly and the chef came to check on us to make sure we were happy with our meals. I would recommend visiting here if you're in the area.

This breakfast was so tasty. I would have gave it 5 🌟 if they had of had soya milk for my coffee. The toast and tea and filter coffee are unlimited. Breakfast was huge served on onions which sounds weird but really works. Comes out on a skillet so stays warm to the last bite. It's a sizzler and boy did ut sizzle. About £7 for a full breakfast and a hot drink. Whats not to like about that. Staff where friendly and attentive and service was quick

The place is a bit away from main routes, what makes it quite local. The last time bus didn't come to take me, there was great place to warm up with a pint of craft beer or ale and tasty dinner. No wifi, unfortunately, but that's not the place to stare into screen

The Phantom Coach is a pleasant place to spend some leisure time. Very convenient parking area in the pub grounds and there is a good choice of food and drink to enjoy. The seating area is spacious and is situated in a number of different rooms. The staff are pleasant and helpful. By the way, there is an interesting local legend in this area. It is about a wild stagecoach ride that goes wrong and the coach ends up . . . Anyway the pub has been named after a result of the wild ride. The PHANTOM Coach!

Had a delivery of classic beef burger, sweet potato fries, and a salad with chicken and bacon. They even sent some wings on the house. The food arrived ahead of estimate by a few minutes, and was absolutely delicious. Great value, lovely food.

I was attending a funeral across the road so stopped with my family for a quick soft drink having travelled for several hours. We were made to feel very welcome and pointed to a separate room to have some quiet time if needed. Many many years ago my Grandfather used the Phantom Coach and he was in a bowls club there. He would be very happy to know that it is still a very friendly locals pub.

Disappointed....went there after a funeral. Probably about 20 of us. Had already pre ordered some meals. Bar staff were not as friendly as expected. Felt as though we were just a nuisance and not welcome. Menus just dropped onto tables and told someone would be round to take orders so confusion..as we'd already pre ordered some. Plates were literally dropped in front of us...miserable waitress. Tables were sticky. Even when we left 2 bar staff were too busy talking to even acknowledge us. Not what you expect especially when you've just buried a family member.!!!!

Visiting the Uni today to see our daughter. Decided on trying this place. First impressions when you walk in is that it's a Wetherspoons type of pub. A little tired in places. But quite spacious. The furniture is old and need replacing. Arrived about 3pm. Ordered food and drinks. Nachos for starter to share. Not bad. A little burnt and could do with more on top. Mains where mixed grill, BBQ chicken burger and the sweet chilli crispy beef. The burger was nice as was the BBQ chicken. The mixed grill was served on a sizzler plate which is far to small to get all the food on and eat it. To be honest with you this meal let the others down. The supposed chicken fillet was tiny and dry. Had blatantly been cut in half. The gammon was fatty. And the steak which I payed £4 more to upgrade to ribeye was a terrible low quality cut. The sausages had been cooked a while as the ends where burnt and dry. To make things worse the whole thing was sat on top of cooked onions which made everything wet and greasy. Totally overkill. For the money we payed it was passible. Would probably not go again. On the upside. The staff are very helpful and polite. Service for drinks was quick.

We called up fairly late for a table, they were every accommodating and sorted it for us. The whole place was very organised, the staff all helpful and the food tasted great. Lots of hand sanitiser and cleaning of tables and chairs thoroughly between guests.

Absolutely loved it, lovely seating area and a good variety of locations to sit around the pub and they all give off different atmospheres which I found lovely. The food is top notch and all the staff are lovely and you can tell they enjoy what they do or want to be there. I would definitely recommend either for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have a good desert menu to sit beside the mains which is always a plus!

Would highly recommend for a private party or wake. The side room is perfect for this and even has its own toilets. All staff were extremely helpful and friendly, they couldn't do enough for us. Hot buffet was excellent value for money and very tasty. Everyone commented on how good the food was. They even provided us with takeaway pots for the leftovers. Good food and good attendance. Listening to the rain outside I was able to appreciate my meal with a Gold Guinness, such a good beer, was a really good moment to enjoy. Thinking about the price at the menus they are in a good balance too, you are able to have a delicious meal without spending too much and without looking the competition 😃

Amazing Saturday night here! Pub atmosphere was amazing, quick service on drinks and the team were fun, polite, efficient and professional. I haven’t been to many pubs since lock down, including this one for a while, you can see a change in the pub, a great one! Staff are happy, well moulded and was really nice to see a manager interact with his team and regulars in a professional and fun way. I Will be ordering food next time as I was getting envious of the food around me! Thank you for a great Saturday night, will be back for food, drinks and the quiz!

Ordered Scampi and chips with no peas and that is exactly what I got ! Thought there would have at least been a bit of salad and a slice of lemon or even a pot of tartare sauce on the side but no, just shoved on a plate, scampi was over cooked and chips were no better, very disappointing, however, others with me ordered different meals and seemed to enjoy theirs.

On our way back from the NEC, decided to search for a place to eat, with suitable star rating. The Phantom Coach came out tops. Food was nice, decor reminded me of the old style public houses for the regulars, a little dated. For a first time experience, it was good, service was quick and friendly, and the next time I venture in that direction, will definitley stop again.

Awesome! Great service (from who I think was the main man at least), great food, not expensive. He sorted the queue really quickly and sent me to get my food (which he knew had arrived and might be getting cold - it wasn’t, it was perfect)…. while he then brought the pints over once they were properly full and settled! Wish I lived nearby…. Maybe have a daughter at university here soon though! Highly recommended. Burger stacks are great. Nachos different to usual (giant, more bread-like, creamy dressing more than cheesey) - but a nice change. Loved it. App didn’t work though, but the man at the bar more than made up for that.

A step back in time. A nice, decent pub with the accompanying atmosphere. Something that has, alas, become a rarity in London. I was happy too to pay non-London price for a pint. The food was excellent value for money, and the pub was pet-friendly too. Only small niggle was we had to wait 20 minutes for our lunch, at around 2:30pm, so supposedly after the lunchtime rush. Definitely recommend!

The place was good they made the best steak I've ever tested and amazing cheeseburgers, the boy who served us was super friendly the only thing that was odd is that they almost kick us out around 9pm as I was with my son who is 9yo but I guess this are the rules even tho anywhere else nobody complained about how long we are staying for dinner I never knew that you can't go out for dinner with your kids after 8pm 😂 but beside this the food and the service was 5⭐!!! I rate 1⭐ the manager who suggested that we can't stay more than and hour for dinner, I guess they have different rules for foreign customers 🤷🏻‍♀️

We took my partner's Father out for a Birthday meal. The place is clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. Only 4 small things that let it down. 1. The lettuce leaf on the starter was brown and dry underneath. 2. When the waiter took our starter plates, he asked if we wanted to keep our dirty cutlery or if we wanted clean ones, where exactly did he think we were going to put the dirty ones whilst we waited for our main course? No we would like clean cutlery please. 3. One of the main meals was supposed to come with peas but the peas did not arrive and no one came back to check if our food was okay, not wanting to spoil Father's Birthday we did not get up to complain. 4. We came to this establishment because we were made aware that they did a Golden years menu for the older person at a slight discount. Father doesn't eat a great deal so this was perfect. We ordered at the bar and were told that the Golden years menu finishes at 5pm. You can still have the food but they serve a larger serving at the full price. What he actually got was more salad which was actually quite dry and too much for him to eat. Other establishments that serve the Golden years menu, do so until 7pm which is a more sensible time as anyone taking parents out probably do so around 6 ish after finishing work. We will visit again but if we're taking parents out with the family then we'll go where they serve the more sensible Golden years smaller meals until 7pm.

Very friendly service with good vegan and vegetarian options. We very much enjoyed our meal although the vegan dessert options were rather limited. I'd suggest adding vegan sorbet. The coffee was cheap but also not very tasteful. I'd rather have paid more for a good coffee. I do like this place as the staff are friendly and I've been coming here for over 32 years. Recently after the lockdown we decided to have a steak as we've had some incredibly tasty and tender steaks but I think they're trying to save money as the quality of the meat has dropped dramatically. Mother in law went last week and had an awful steak. They're fatty, gristley and quite inedible. Edit: Totally back on form. Had the hallumi fries and they were superb. Definitely had better steaks to serve this time, but you know why I keep coming here is because the staff are great and I mean that. Booked for next week as well. Just wish the price was like this all the time, I'd eat there every night!

I met someone here as it was a central location but what a find! The prices are very reasonable, there was a very good selection of ales and lagers (as well as ciders and bottled beverages). Now I didnt have any food as unfortunately I didnt have time but it smelled great around me, looked very appetising and really good portion sizes. I will be going back to order some myself in the very near future! On other notes, staff were friendly and the surroundings and toilets were clean and in good order. It basically ticked all boxes for me.

The staff here are great, really friendly and provide a fantastic service. Food is tasty and really good value for money, there is a wide selection and extensive menu. Only downside is (for me rather than them!) is that it often gets extremely busy being close to Warwick Uni and can be crowded around the bar and queuing among the tables, quite loud and food takes a little longer. Despite this we still keep going back as everything else makes it worth it!

My neighbours and myself always go to The Phantom Coach when one of us has a birthday. Usually there are around 15 of us. At Christmas we book for a celebration meal and last year there was 22 in our party. The staff are very good, food is always wonderful and as pensioners really affordable. I highly recommend this pub. You always get a warm welcome here. Smaller groups of us go regularly for a meal with our families and friends too. Cannot fault the food or the service. The staff are amazing. A real family friendly place x

Food is lovely, great menu. Staff are nice and good selection of drinks. This pub is very popular and gets very busy. They have offers on the food at lunch time and daily specials. Wheelchair accessible entrance and there is a wheelchair accessible toilet but the tables around it make it impossible to get to. Big car park with seating outside and a huge garden which is great for families as they have activities outside for kids in the summer. I like the pub because its not modern its still got the original features and has been done up in recent years. The big thing that lets it down in my opinion is its clean in all the obvious places but look further and its quite dirty and in need of painting and cleaning around the edges of the walls and doors and places like that. The toilets were fairly clean but could do with cleaning around the floor edges, walls and tiles.

I had lunch in a pub in Nottingham and when we turned up here, I was surprised how well all the protocols were in place, hadn't seen this is London neither in Nottingham where I was earlier. A good modern day classic gastro-pub experience. Location is a double edged sword, easily accessible but maybe noisy outside as next to a very busy road (A45). Relaxed atmosphere comfy seating and very friendly staff. Drinks are reasonably priced and I would call the food cheap without too much of a compromise on quality. They have an expansive menu with a choice of lots of different cuisines to suit everyone. A great place for families and pub-goers alike.

Great value, great service and a nice atmosphere. We eat here regularly and will continue to do so while it's our local. They have also hosted family funerals for us in the past and we have been really impressed by their professionalism and dedication. It's not fine dining or Michelin star cooking but it doesn't pretend to be either. Overall I can definitely recommend the Phantom Coach.

As with all Sizzling pubs I've been to this offers great value for money on down to earth pub meals and great beer served by friendly staff. It's not gourmet, it's not a character pub but it's not trying to be either. Note this is the pub of choice for those attending the crematorium across the road so it can get quite busy.

Well, I like the place for Saturdays’s quiz nights so can’t tell too much about food but drinks are relatively cheap and there’s good variety of them too.
