Excellent in every way . Last minute decision to go for fish ( large cod x2 ) and chips on Sunday afternoon couldn't have got better service or quality of food . Has to be up there with the best in Derby . Will definitely be visiting again. ⭐

This place is famous for their chips in Derby, the Fish and chips are therfore superb and pretty reasonably price, the Burger meat is nice and fresh and well cooked (not cardboard) they do. Come with a lottt of salad so remember if ur not into that to tell them, Good old skool chippy 😊😊👌

Fish (cod) very nice, wasn't too much batter like most chippy's do. Chips slightly under done so couldn't eat them all, but enough fill a man's gut lol. Very nice staff too. Almost perfect chippy, which for me is hard to come by.

The chips are excellent and the homemade fish cakes is delicious. I got very full of a regular portion of chips (£2) and a the fish cake (£1). The quality and portions are excellent. Opening times are ideal too. My chippy at home is always shut when I want it.

Have Been Going To Gerald St Chip Shop For Many Years And What Used To Appeal To Us Was When You Ordered A Large Chips You Got A Large Chips 1 Bag Would Fill 4 Dinner plates. So Was Worth Paying That Little Extra. But Was Really Disappointed Today. Ordered A Large Chips Along With Other Sides. For The Price Of £3.60p For The Chips It Was Barely Enough For 1 Person. Unfortunately Won't Be Going Again Which Is A Shame As The 2 Brothers Have Always Been So Friendly Over The Years ☹

This is in my opinion the best chip shop ever. Do you hear at your local chip shop "just waiting for chips"? No? try "Hilton fish bar" its his catchphrase. This family and amazing chip shop exterminate that tradition as they cook like heroes, always with a full display of pies and other products hot hot hot. Local businesses use them in large quantities and you can tell they are more than capable of coping with larger orders "quickly". I have used this chip shop for over 25 years and even though I live 30 miles away I will keep on using them whenever I go even slightly close to that direction as it is singly my favorite chip shop of all time. Large chips usually means wheelbarrow incoming. They are not shy of giving exceedingly good portions of chips and I love them for it. Perfection and lots of it thanks for making my life complete.

I've been visiting this chip shop all my life and the quality and quantity of the food you received is tremendous. A family run business that is been here over 30 years nose every customer comes through and it's always a pleasure having a friendly chat with the owners over a bag of chips or waiting for your food to be prepared. They are open every day of the week till 11pm at night.
