Really yummy vegan burger, and vegan dessert (I have an allergy to dairy). We received happy, smiling service. The restaurant was comfy and warm and we were seated in a quiet corner so felt Covid-safe, as well // 2 nd visit, for just coffee. Lovely service with a smile again and plenty of choice for places to sit.

First visit but definitely won't be the last. Three of us enjoyed well presented, tasty food and all agreed it was an excellent decision to try this place. Very friendly and courteous staff, couldn't have been more helpful. I had the beef lasagne and it was absolutely delicious, served with fresh crunchy salad and garlic bread. Christmas Dinner. As a member of the booking had to isolate we requested it to be boxed up and arranged it to be collected. They were very helpful. The food was boxed up in xmas paper wrapped boxes. The deserts were sent in a giftbox. A bottle of asti, christmas crackers, and a box of after eights were sent to accompany it. The food was very good. Arrived nice and hot. The deserts looked and tasted great. What could have been disappointing turn of events was made into a lovely, cooking-free, very tasty, family-centred Christmas dinner. Thank you.

Visited here whilst staying at premier inn, the manager was extremely rude upon arrival and didn’t seat us for half hour despite having a booking and the restaurant had 2 people in, he came across he was doing us the favour of letting us eat there, the waitress we couldn’t fault she was friendly our meal in the evening was lovely we had a couple drinks too, We had breakfast the next morning, well let’s just say we won’t be eating that again. Had a lovely xmas 2017 meal here, with my family. It was a first time visit for us, so impressions mean a lot, for future references. The bar/restaurant, is situated in the grounds of 'Premier Inn', off of 'Osmaston Park Road, Derby', & is built on the former army barracks ground. The place looks appealing however, the restaurant seating area is quite small, &, we found the bar seating area, needs renovation work. The bar staff ( even with only a few of us, at the bar), rarely cracked a smile, were very slow, &, the drinks, a little on the expensive side. Not one of my favourite places, but gr8 for food, at the time, 24th, December, 2017. In the year of 24th December, 2018, i booked a table at this place again, 3 weeks prior to attending, &, requested 'Turkey Dinners' for 6 of us (2 of the people were in their 80's, with 1 being totally blind). On the day in question, upon arrival, we were informed that we had to have chicken, as what 'Turkey' they had left, they wanted for xmas day then, when all 6 of us were their, it took them 20 minutes to get someone to take our order, yet there were only us, &, a family of 8 in the restaurant (who had been already waiting their 1.5 hours, for their food, after ordering a 3 course meal, who had walked out once but, came back, &, waited a further half hour, whilst we were their, before getting their starter). We had waited for 55 minutes for our starter (1hr 15 min's overall), before we complained to the manager, who then informed us that, his chef didn't show up for work so, he's having to do the cooking. 10 min's later (1hr 25 min's overall), we all got our dead easy to make starter, &, had to wait a further 45 minutes after that, for our main course (chicken). After giving the manager another piece of our minds, at the end, they still had the audacity to charge us full price so we stressed that we'd never go back their, after all of that rigmourole!!! 'I WHOLLY, DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR FOOD, OR, DRINKS, AS THEY ALL WORK AT #SNAILS PACE'!!! DISGRACEFUL BEHAVIOUR BY ALL LAZY STAFF MEMBERS THEIR, AT THE TIME!!!

Absolutely loved the chicken foresters and my daughter really enjoyed the chicken and ribs combo. We both had the chocolate and hazelnut dome for pudding. This has been the best pub food I've eaten in a long time and the staff were fantastic. Id definitely come here again and recommend others try them too

Great service during covid buffet brekkie is hard but they worked round it you have to expect slower service as it's harder work and they are run off their feet good customer service isn't the same thing as the customer having you run round like a Muppet. If you have a request and send them for something don't expect on their return to send you for something else .they are humans not robots and two hands treat as you would expect to be treated .they arnt a servant to your needs wants you are adults not a toddler who needs to be spoon fed .Give the guys a break .working to the new normal takes time to do safely to keep everyone safe .if you don't like it cook yourself of stay at home !!!!

The oasthouse Access: this place was semi accessible as there was a heavy glass door on the entrance. It would be difficult to open on on s own. Staff Helpful but did not understand why I needed to be by a light as a blind person! Still they were quiet good. Food The food was good but could have been a little better to be excellent. Was average but could have been better in quality. Pricing I would not have paid the normal price for the food. It was just as well that it was with a voucher. A bit over priced for what you get. The food was standard fair no big surprises or imaginative recipes.

We went for boxing day lunch here. The food was wonderful and the staff were happy to help, I've never been before but I will definitely go again. Because it was so busy, they forgot cutlery on our table but this was swiftly sorted out with a good humoured apology but that is the only thing and at best it was a mild 30 second inconvenience. Considering how busy it was im very impressed. The staff were not flustered when dealing with the busy period, they couldn't do enough for us and we were not waiting very long between courses yet it wasn't rushed. The timing was in my opinion spot on!

Overall, a generally lovely breakfast! Well priced for what you get and the breakfast bar as you walk in is superb! There is a little wait on the food but that's as to be expected, and the waiters got a few of the orders on the tables around me wrong, but again is expected with how busy the place was. The waiters were very friendly and had a bit of banter with my dad which he really enjoyed. Will definitely come here for breakfast again!

Excellent for a family breakfast. It's 9.99 for a full anything you can eat freshly cooked breakfast . I had endless tea , orange juice , cereal, toast, etc followed by anything I wanted and any quantity required . I even had bubble and squeak on mine!! Best part is , the children all eat free. We had five adults and six children and only paid for the adults. A fabulous and very popular set up so you'll need to book! My only complaint ....I would have preferred canned tomatoes to moisten things up a bit (for those that don't like beans you understand) def will re-visit!!

Went here for the 9.50 breakfast. It was nice enough but definitely not worth the money! When we received the orders 3 out of 4 were wrong. Waiter was really helpful and sorted things out though. Coffee served was luke warm but the juices available were really nice.

Went for lunch with colleagues on a Monday. Two ordered 'ham egg and chips' and one had the crispy chilli beef salad. It was very quiet even though we were there at exactly 12. No trouble getting a table. The good: food was prompt, hot (not the salad!) and tasted good. The staff were friendly. Everything was clean The bad: portions were a little small, and a piece of bread with the both dishes would have helped. Some of the furniture (easy chairs) was absolutely worn out, and some chairs didn't fit the tables (we sat in the sun room at the side closest to the main road) so you couldn't sit at the table properly. A table taller by two inches would fix this. The outside seating area needs sprucing up and the large toppled/broken planters need replacing

We were late but were treated with respect and served despite. We did have to wait longer than usual but I guess It was partly out own fault. The food was well presented and tasty. My friend needed her Rissotto reheated. She was given free dessert. We are set to return.

Table service was particularly slow and to be fair it was only the second shift the waitress had only done, so possibly inexperienced. It was our very close friends Ruby wedding anniversary and we had to keep prompting the waitress for the items we had ordered. Was at least 40 mins between each course. The prices are fair but don't expect a massive meal. I had a mixed grill for the amount on the plate it wasn't worth that amount. Our friends always stay at the hotel and we shall encourage them to eat elsewhere.

We had a dish you would expect veg to accompany, but when it arrived it didn't and we would have to purchase a bowl separately... We certainly didn't. We will be retuning to give it another chance when we try the set Christmas time menu, which looks far better value running through December.

The food was great. We ate from the 2 for £8.99 and it was good value. I decided to try a pudding. Asked for a chocolate and orange sundae that said "new" on the menu. They had changed it to a mint one. Had a chocolate sundae instead. £5.15. There was just 1 scoop of ice cream in the bottom a few choc chunks and a bit of brownie but 2/3 of it was squirty cream. Awful. Complained and were just told oh dear. Not really good enough. Doubt it would survive without the next door hotel trade.
