Breakfast here today. Quick, friendly and efficient service. I went with the steak and eggs. They were very accommodating and were happy to replace my hash browns with bacon. Pleasantly surprised with no extra charge either. We also had the eggs benedict and it was lovely. Food was cooked well. Atmosphere was calm and relaxed. Great. Only minor suggestion is, don't use those ceramic plates for steak. They move around something awful while cutting steak. I would recommend a wooden board for steaks. All said and done, I'd come back.

Visited here yesterday evening and WOW. friendly and welcoming staff, nothing was too much for them. The food is outstanding, delicious and hot. If you have not been here, it’s time you paid a visit, you won’t be disappointed.

Visited on Thursday 11th November 2021. Surprisingly busy for a Thursday due to University of Derby graduation event at Derby Velodrome; however, service was still excellent with very little delay in either ordering food or food arriving. Unfortunately there was no cask beer on, having said that the choice is somewhat disappointing with either Doom Bar or Pedigree; however, I suspect that's all they're allowed to sell. Food is surprisingly good, not the same old overcooked 'pub grub' you may think it'll be, there's also a decent vegetarian and vegan selection. Food allergy and intolerance is catered for exceptionally well with kitchen surfaces cleaned before prep. Prices are not super cheap nor is it particularly expensive but it is good value for money, the quality of food is evident and the free salad bar is fresh and a nice idea. Inside is clean and looks well maintained, unfortunately the outside is looking tired and could do with some cosmetic attention. The parking is plenty and free, it's also nice to see an electric car charge point (this is a BP 50kw point).

Just great. Served at our table by a fabulous group of efficient friendly young girls. The salad bar experience is just great. If I'd have known beforehand, I'd have opted for just the salad, as it's so nice and varied. Although the other food is lovely of course. Don't forget to validate your vehicle for free parking.

Haven't been to a harvester in about 15yrs, was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Service was excellent, our server Claire was efficient, friendly & polite. The food was very good, much better than I remember. Steak was cooked to perfection, medium rare by josh. A decent bottle of wine for a reasonable price too. All in all a good night's grub for a pretty good price. If we're back in derby again we'll definitely drop by again.

Decently solid restaurant right by the hotels in the area. Sam and Ben were both extremely accommodating with my lactose intolerance which was incredible! Pretty sure they were the most accommodating restaurant I've ever been in! Very personable and chatty as well! :) The only problem I've consistently encountered here is that they tend to be out of certain things like sweet potato fries pretty frequently. I don't mind that too much though! Worth a visit!

Arrived without booking. Lady front of house (sorry didn't note name) very friendly took us to table. Ben who came to take the order was excellent very proficient, friendly and accurate... But the bonus was he was funny which made us laugh 🤭.. Excellent service from Ben. Now for the food... Absolutely delicious, salad bar looked clean and the taste of the food was great... Received message on harvester app for 50% off main meals. Booked table on line, arrived 10 minutes early, met with a warm greeting and show to our table. Drinks and meal order taken, was served at the salad bar by Matt U swiftly and efficiently with a smile. Dinner was served soon after our order was taken. Hi so just been here as staying in Derby and it's so close to our hotel and first time we have been to a harvester wasn't expecting much to be honest but was pleasantly pleased by the food didn't book but we got a table and the waitress was lovely, quick service to say place was busy and had harvester combo which was half a chicken and half rack of ribs and chicken juicy and ribs nice and well done no complaints from us we even managed to share a chocolate fudge cake!! Would go again thanks 😊

I had two meals from this restaurant during a recent weekend stay in Derby and was very happy on both occasions. Firstly I ordered a takeaway chicken dinner (which included a dessert and drink) which was ready for collection when I arrived. It was well presented in separate boxes/bags and was delicious. I also visited the restaurant for breakfast and had the 'build your own' breakfast. Again, this arrived quickly and was very good value for money. Toast was included and although drinks are extra, it is possible to have unlimited refills if you wish. I would highly recommend this place as the service on both occasions was excellent, particularly Harriet who was the server when I visited for breakfast.

This is the Best food I have had in a very very long time! complimentary to the chef Matt c the chicken was cooked so perfectly soft, juicy and don’t get my started on the gravy it was so mouth watering so tasty - I also loved the chips with sage and onion. The staff were great! After being blank refused from Blue Peter Pub, Alvaston (same company) previously the same morning due to me needing to take my bike in following someone trying to steal it - the warm and helpful service was most welcoming! I've never been somewhere so accommodating of allergies. My fiancé is lactose intolerant, which is usually difficult to navigate when eating out, but the staff were very conscientious and extremely thorough in making sure she knew which menu items she would be able to eat. Fantastic service.

I work in a role that involves working with kids from many different backgrounds and this evening we came out for one of the kids birthday meals and was not disappointed the kids absolutely loved Ben, Jess and Sam. I have only recently restarted my Harvester experience, and what a great experience it has been! For years I passed on the Harvester's, because the food had become unpleasant. But by chance, a month or so ago, we were near Legoland, and thought we'd give "The Windsor Lad" a Harvester eatery in Windsor....and the renaissance had begun, this was confirmed by our recent visit to "Pride Park Derby". Well done Harvester, my 5 star award is well deserved.

When my twin sister & our friend visited your establishment on Pride Park for lunch, we were greeted & served by a lovely bubbly table server whose badge name was Claire. She had us all laughing & smiling with her warm, friendly & welcoming personality! We were spoilt for choice at your mouth-watering menu. We chose breaded mushrooms & spicy king prawns for starters & we weren't disappointed! Well presented, Juicy & tastey 😋 We were served at the salad bar by a friendly, helpful & very patient server (sorry I forgot her name), who allowed us time to choose from the selection of salads, salad dressings & bread rolls with 'real' butter! We had the Camembert & tomatoe tarts with jacket potatoe & slaw & our friend had spicy chicken breast with jacket potatoe. Oh my.... the Camembert & cheese tart tasted heavenly & the herby tomatoes that topped the tart was a genius addition, along with the little dish of slaw, & our friend's chicken breast was tender, moist & packed with flavour, compliments to the Chef Neil! Claire checked to see how our meal was & if we needed anything else. Nothing was too much trouble for her! She's such a 'natural', genuinely warm & caring towards her customers as I observed her consistent friendly 'nothing's too much trouble' approach to everyone she served! As our first luncheon visit at your establishment, we couldn't have wished for a better experience!! Food was excellent & great value for money especially with free access to your salad with your main meal! Service was second to none by our server Claire! The only minor detail was the restaurant was really cold 🥶 Fortunately hot chocolate took the edge of it! Would definitely recommend Pride Park Derby Harvester to family & friends & would tell them to look out for a 'Ray of Sunshine' called Claire to serve their table❣️ Definitely worthy of five stars for service 🌟 We think Claire represents your restaurant really well & we feel she would make an excellent trainer for staff across all your restaurants! Kids food was reasonably priced and tasty. Presentation of some things was a little poor and lack of children's cutlery was disappointing. They had run out of straws which made it hard for the little kids to drink and the banana custard was served without banana as they had run out. Strange the chef sent it out and didn't offer a replacement. Meal was enjoyable but start to finish did take a LONG time.

UPDATE I have been to the Harvester for food several times since my initial review and it has always been lovely and the majority of the staff are really friendly. Unfortunately though, every time I have been there has been some issue with the ladies toilets... Out of order, no toilet roll, blocked, lights out... Sort it out Harvester!!! ORIGINAL REVIEW Nice pub food. Lovely hot chocolate! A star knocked off as the ladies toilets weren't up to standard... one had a light out and broken lock, one was out of order and one had no toilet roll!!!

Superb hot meal! I had skewered chicken pieces in Naga Chilli sauce and boy was it hot!! I love hot food and the chicken was delightful! Cooked to perfection. Soft and dissolved in my mouth. The waiter, Sam was so very helpful and thoughtful and big respect to the chef Josh for cooking this superb meal. The accompanying coleslaw and rice were delicious too. A great meal!

I'm a regular at this particular restaurant on Pride Park and always have consistently satisfactory customer service, in particular I've always found Ben Randal to be of the utmost in professionalism he is an absolute GEM of a staff member and you'd be hard pushed to find anyone that can communicate on more than just a"how was your meal" level.. no issues wth other staff mem at all, but this lad, goes above and beyond👌🏽👌🏽

We was greeted and seated quickly. We had a nice table next to the fire. We were dealt with efficiently by Connor the manager, who took our food order with a smile, he was polite, friendly, helpful and most importantly, patience. The downside was that we had to wait nearly and hour for our food from the point of ordering to service at the table however the meal was nice. Connor came over several times to makes sure everything was ok for us. We did have a few issues and questions to which Connor dealt with very quickly and to our satisfaction. Had it not been for the long wait for the food this would of been a 4 star review. Overall we understood it was a busy night and we did leave satisfied.

Sean was the guy today. There's sometimes that you just want to have a good time. No reservations, no plans, just decided to go . And Sean was the guy who understood that. His recommendations came with the right time, right feeling and with the perfect mood of a very good sunny day. The restaurant is....a Harvester! Aways clean, cozy and welcoming. The chef of the day was Emma. And talking about food quality: it feels like the chef was happy and inspired! I asked for the classy burger for me and a simply chicken for my Mrs. The burger was full of flavour, melted cheese and a big, delicious slice of bacon, everything cooked to perfection. The chicken arrived beautifully accompanied by a peas and green pod salad, chips and one of the best gravies we ever tried. Nothing to complain at all, the chicken was perfectly seasoned, the salt, pepper, everything on its right quantity. Juicy, combined with the chips, the gravy or just the chicken itself was a treat indeed. I would definitely come back, and I definitely recommend it! 10/10!

Super Friendly Staff Team were at your table strait away taking orders quickly and swiftly. A down side is that there is no bread in the salad bar and you cannot do self-service. There needs to be more choice of salad too as I found q few things were missing (especially couscous). There needs to be more choice for the desserts menu and when receiving my dessert (Cookie Dough) It tasted bland and flavourless. Other than these slight issues I had a great experience and would visit again.

It was our first indoor meal after lockdown. Myself and my daughter visited without booking and happily sat in the bar, sadly my daughter become uncomfortable due to some loud customers. I spoke to the host Ben about our concern and the fact my daughter is autistic and felt very anxious with the noise. He was so kind and polite and helped us out by moving us into the seating area. Claire was then our server and she was super friendly and helpful. We got some salad from Sam at the salad bar again super friendly and my daughter felt able to speak to the staff. We were a bit wary visiting as didn’t really know what it would be like with Covid 19 safety measures in place, however we needn’t have worried we had a lovely enjoyable meal. Our waitress took our order and then we followed her to the salad bar where she asked what we wanted and it was served to us, you could have as little or as much as you wanted and able to return for more if you wanted, you just had to stand on the markings and not get too close!! The food was served in perfect time just after we had finished our salad and was well presented, tasty and a good portion. The tables were spaced out nicely and no one apart from our server came close to us. Also the soft drink refills are not self serve anymore but we just asked and they were happy to bring us a refill any time we asked. We really enjoyed our meal at Harvester Pride Park, Derby and if in the area again would definitely return.

The staff were friendly and helpful. The usual extensive menu. I went for "bird, turf and surf" but maybe I should have given the salad bar a miss, as I could not eat all the main course! All food was well cooked and presented. My wife had cod and chips which she said was really nice. That's a good point for Harvester as we are Yorkshire people, so fussy about our fish and chips! Covid-19 requirements in place. We ate at 4.30pm and there were several families with kids.

Very nice family restaurant with seats outside and free salad and drinks with every meal. Top service, very nice waiters and waitresses. I had fish and mashed potatoes and it was very good. They also have good vegan options. One star less because it gets very unpleasantly hot inside.

Good food as per usual for our local harvester but the service tonight just wasn't up to standard. Not sure if it was a lack of staff, or they were unusually busy, but it took forever to get served, drinks glasses bought over when we first ordered, plates to be cleared. Once ordered the food came out very quickly and was right by the order but the wait times just took far too long today. Otherwise a good visit for the food.

Went for breakfast this Saturday. Can’t fault it, had the “All In” breakfast which is basically all you want and drinks refills which is great value. Waiter was very helpful and it arrived quickly. Well cooked and tasty. Tips? The black pudding is small so maybe have more than one, also the beans portion is a bit small, so would have extra next time. Lovely poached eggs.

Food here is always really nice, the staff are really nice, and are always very helpful. This evening we went there for a meal for my little girls 6th birthday, we told her she could choose to go for a meal wherever she wanted to go and she requested to go here as she loves it. The waitor we had this eve was brill, he made a real effort to make us feel welcome and enjoy our visit. He was very patient with my mum giving her order as she takes ages to make a decision. Also helped with other requests too. He had a great sense of humour and was very friendly which made our visit even better. He brought out our little ones birthday cake and had a natter with her too which was lovely, she even said on the way home, "the man who gave us our food today was really nice wasn't he and he made me laugh." A lovely end to the weekend for us and our little one enjoyed her birthday tea.

Unlimited soft drink/hot drink option (at cost). Staff seemed very friendly and attentive. Prices a little steep for quality and quantity of food - but tasty.

I've been to this Harvester many times and for the most part the food has been very good. There has been at times issues with the portion size and with the temperature of my meal. Almost as if my main was cooked and left while the other mains on my table were cooked. The salad bar is really good and has lots to choose from. Pasta, potato salad, coleslaw, veggies, various sauces and breads. I think that the fact unlimited refills of salad is included is a excellent idea. The salad bar did have issues last time I went in as the bowls hadn't been refilled when I went down to get my salad. They were refilled after a couple of minutes of me sitting back down again though. Service has been good overall no massive problems. Can be slow at times but I put this down to busy times. If you are in the area check it out for yourself.

Have to admit I was pleasantly surprised by the Harvester. We chose off the £12.99-£14.99 (for 2 or 3 courses) menu which had a decent choice. Good value. The sirloin steak was an extra fiver but worth every penny. Thick cut, cooked to perfection (rare) and absolutely delicious. Lovely staff as well. The menu also allowed us to have a bottle of wine for a tenner. All good.
