Reviews of The Bulls Head

Very nice place to visit and have a meal. Some of the food dishes are a bit pricey, but it's that nice that it IS worth it. The staff are also brilliant, nothing is too much trouble. Olivia was our waitress, and she was brilliant. She was very caring and attentive to making sure that everyone was happy.

So firstly let me say that the food and cocktails here are worth top marks 5*. Really enjoyed my steak sandwich which was large and was the one with the pepper corn sauce. Truly amazing. My wife enjoyed the triple club Sandwich and I tried about and can also say it was devine. Great place to come as a family or for a more intimate setting. The pub shows off some lovely decor and environment that has something for everyone I think and accommodates all kind of occasions.
The down mark is very minor and some may view as a little picking but it is in the details that split the best from the rest and having worked in this industry for many years I can value what makes a perfect meal and I understand it was a innocent mistake but ultimately why I couldn't give a 5 even though this place is easily on that level . I asked for a second glass of coke to the young waiter and it did not arrive , even when I asked a second time , in the end the wife let me finish her drink and after we asked for the bill I noticed it was added to the bill which I can see was a innocent mistake and the drink got lost on its travels. It was removed from the bill but it just took the edge of what was a fantastic lunch with my wife.
So in the end it is a 5 star place and I was just unlucky but i review based on my experience but I highly recommend this place and I would gladly update and rewrite my review the next time we visit when I have no doubts have a perfect 5* experience. Truly though try the cocktails they are a little naughty but fun and the food will never disappoint.

So so good here. So much choice of pizzas and other dishes and love the authenticity of the place. Such a cute place ideal for date nights, birthday meals and so on. Generous portions and whatever you don't finish you can box up. Love the cocktails! Especially during Halloween! Recommend to everyone and lots of choice regarding food and drink. Great service from the team too
H. B.
Cocktails were beautiful, food was amazing and everything was well presented. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Portions were a bit too big for us but we were able to take them home and enjoy. Earning themselves 2 loyal customers!

What a find! Our first time here and we'll definitely be back!! We booked a table.(recommended it was busy!). It was in the Garden room restaurant which was upstairs and super pretty with that gorgeous faux blossom tree and twinkly lights in the ceiling. There another one called Longhorn which was downstairs but can't comment on the decor!
They have a great selection of drinks and the food was wonderful. I had the Sirloin steak and the confit of Garlic was 👌🏻 he had the Pit burger which my foodie partner loved so 🙌🏻 chips were fantastic! The service was great, really friendly and attentive. Had a really nice time and will definitely be back, can't wait to try the pizza's they looked yummy!

A very warm and cozy place to eat or share a few drinks. Very nice go to place. Just wish it was my local.... 😜

Absolutely amazing place 😍 the atmosphere was incredible the place itself was amazing to look at and well the food wow 👌 the best steak I have ever tasted the staff were very helpful also definitely going back 😀
G. H.
Absolutely loved it for our first time. Great friendly and attentive Staff, food was AMAZING, and Mocktail selection for those not opting to drink was a nice fun extra - will definitely be back! 10/10

Food was fantastic and so were the cocktails. Staff were very welcoming and helpful 🙂

Surprise visit for my Birthday. Excellent service, great helpful staff. Balloons and Happy Birthday message to greet us at our table.
Lovely decor in the garden room, tables well spaced out so private. Food beautiful and well presented, free dessert for me with a Happy Birthday decorated message. Highly recommend.Fair price for excellent quality.

Very nice and traditional inside with great decor however far too busy to be an enjoyable experience. Parking was a nightmare with people arguing in the car park and cars everywhere, blocked in. Nowhere to sit AT ALL until table was ready in bar area, extended wait to get a drink at the bar, food wasn't served until nearly an hour after booking, literally zero healthy options on the menu, was stress! Don't understand the good reviews, however would be great if not so busy and staff were very helpful.
J. H.
Fabulous meal with no complaints at all. The bath tub was very expensive for what it was though so I wouldn't have that again.
A. M.
Lively atmosphere, very pleasant staff, both food and drink are excellent. I went for the sliders, they were thoroughly enjoyable and I'll definitely be returning to The Bulls Head soon!

One of the best pubs/restaurants I've ever been in the UK. There's not much else to say, everything was brilliant. Fresh food cooked to perfection, kind and most available staff, super quick service. I've been here quite a few times now, will keep coming every time I'm in Repton
L. K.
Loved the decorations, the food , the service. Definitely I would recommend it to everyone. Lovely staff, very good portions for the food and great drink selection. I enjoyed my night out so much, I can't wait to go back.

Just wow. What a hidden gem this place is. Upstairs is just amazing and so ambient. The staff bend over backwards to help you and even looked on the internet and made me a whisky sours even though it isn't on the menu! The food is absolutely insanely gorgeous and they do the best garlic bread that I've ever tasted. A must place to go and eat. ❤️

Took my other half for her birthday. Lovely place. Staff were amazing and went above and beyond. Felt very welcome and at ease. Good price too. Food was delicious, they even did a free pudding for my mrs. Will be returning.
J. C.
Stopped off by chance and what an amazing find, the food was delicious and very friendly staff. The decor is amazing and a really good vibe. We also have a little one who was very welcomed by all staff. Thank you thank you for a lovely meal.

Fabulous first time at this place. The rooms are very pretty and the entrance with plants and lights is beautiful. Not a very spacious area and I would advise that it is not the most disability friendly pub/restaurant. Disabled toilet is only available downstairs and the tables on the ground floor are bookable by special request but the area is still quite small and being in the bar very loud. The garden room and longhorn room are both upstairs and unfortunately/disappointingly there are no lifts/disabled facilities, however the website does advise this and photos of the stairs can be found on the website within a 'video tour' for anyone who may need to see how many/steep stairs are. These are the only faults I would give as on the whole the place is fantastic. The food is amazing and the restaurant is very scenic and pretty. We had brilliant service specifically by Liam who was very accommodating and helpful especially with my dad who has mobility problems. We were in the longhorn room which is small but very nice. It was quite warm as there is no air con so i would be careful going here in the summmer and feel they do need some sort of air con. However we can't wait to come back and try out the garden room restaurant. We have previously been to the Swan in Walton and on the whole I would say we prefer Bulls Head.
S. R.
The wife and I ate there at the weekend. The staff were very friendly and accommodating and the food was excellent. Pizzas were tremendous and good value for money.
A complete contrast to the disappointment of the food and service at the Gelsmoor Inn , a week before.
Thanks.
C. B.
Great atmosphere, food, staff are so friendly. Do whatever they can to help. Even put balloons 🎈 on table if it's someone's birthday. Food is so fresh and the pizzas are one of the best places, we've had the open steak sandwich, omg !! If you like/love cheese then this is for you. 10/10. I had a cookie monster cocktail which was lovely just alot off it.
P. G.
Loved the food.large choice of vegetarian and vegan and different food to what you often see. Lovely relaxing atmosphere in the garden restaurant and very polite and helpful staff despite their young age. V impressed by the first of what I hope is many visits there.
B. F.
Amazing magical place with great friendly staff and very tasty massive portions of delicious food in good price!
100% 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
T. J.
We travelled a fair way to try here. Was well worth it. Huge menu choice. Can be as inexpensive or expensive as you choose. Great portion sizes but not in place of quality. Lovely, friendly staff.
D. R.
The restaurant itself was really nice, the garden room was lovely and the cocktail we ordered was great ! A fun novelty mini bathtub with sorbet and homemade lemonade, but the Mens loo was in need of cleaning as my partner said there was urine all over the floor .
Out of the mini burger trio I ordered , only the pulled pork was good. The chicken burger smelt weird and the beef one was pink , not just cooked rare but not cooked. The staff said it was down to a new supplier and having bacon in the mince used to make them. She said she doesn’t like it either. I got 50% off the dish but it ruined the experience.
Wasn’t what I expected overall as people rave about it but I wouldn’t go back even without the burger incident.
J. H.
Lovely pub with good food at reasonable prices. Had booked to eat in the Garden Room which was very pretty and atmospheric but the room was heated like a sauna! Had to ask to move from there shortly after being seated as couldn't have stayed to eat in that heat - it was uncomfortable to say the least!
However once reseated in the bar, fully enjoyed our meal. Had the pizzas which were lovely and very big!
N. H.
Great atmosphere and great food. Hand made wood fired pizzas, sizzling skewers of bbq grilled chicken and enormous battered cod and chips with allsorts in-between. Really friendly and attentive staff. Might be a good idea to book in advance as it is a very popular place. Just goes to show how great the place is.
A. S.
Had a lovely lunch for my birthday. Nothing was too much effort for the staff and they went above and beyond the extra mile to make it special. Food was amazing and the place was immaculately clean
N. C.
Dined with family at The Bulls Head last night
Lovely place, unfortunately couldn't get a table in the garden room which is so beautiful so were placed upstairs, not great as very noisy and one of our party had mobility problems.
However, the food was excellent 👌
Our waiter for the evening was Liam who was brilliant 👏 A lovely, personable and helpful lad he is a credit to your restaurant.
L. P.
It is a warm and friendly venue which is popular with young diners who like loud background music. The menu is very meat/ fish orientated which is well presented and interesting. The steak was excellent but the vegetable chilli was mediocre and bland. I would not recommend the menu for vegetarians or vegans.
J. W.
The atmosphere and service is great and couldn't fault it. The food although not so. When you are paying top whack like this you expect the food to be of top quality. The starter was nice but the cod main course really wasn't nice. There was hardly any chorizo and lack of salt it also came with a sauce which was then a yellow water substance which made the dinner even more bland.
We then didn't have any dessert through the lack of selection.
Such a shame, I used to love The Bulls Head and a few years ago the food seemed to go downhill. Came again this week after a few years and unfortunately it's still the same. I will be in no rush to come back, there are plenty of great hidden gems, with smashing food and not paying top prices.
A. P.
My party of 5 and I went for the first time today in years…we will deffo be going again.
Honestly the food was amazing…one of the best burgers I have ever had, the children’s pizza was massive and freshly cooked to order.
Cainaan was our server and went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable.
Although the prices are a tad more expensive than a local pub the quality far exceeds that of anywhere I have eaten before, great value for money!
J. T.
Been here lots always 5 🌟 🤩 great for just a quick lunch to a great birthday party 🎉
M. K.
Ive been here many times, and its not nearby, but I'm happy to travel 30 mins for great food, or it was once great... Ordered the Peppercorn open steak sandwich, not seasoned and there was hardly any beef/meat, just a few small pieces. Also had a London pizza, which just looked rushed with clumps sliced of meat, overall slightly cooked underdone. I was disappointed, but was with friends so keep my mouth shut. Ive always loved The Bulls Head, but will only return for proper dinners, like a Sunday Roast, not from the pub menu.
S. K.
Fantastic afternoon/evening spent at The Bulls Head. Great atmosphere. Brilliant food. Superb cocktails. Good value for money.
H. F.
Great business lunch. Food superb - I had the open fillet steak sandwich. The serving staff were lovely - only thing I'd say was it was a tiny bit dark in the marquee
L. h.
Live the decor in here and the food was amazing..especially the hanging kebabs
H. S.
Fantastic atmosphere, lovely food and the staff are very attentive. If going during peak hours, I'd recommend booking a table and arriving a few minutes early to allow time for finding a car parking space.
M. H.
The food was great, the service fairly prompt and polite and the drinks choice is plentiful. The garden room is very nice and provides a different setting for indoor meals compared to traditional restaurants or pubs.
G. M.
Been here a couple of times now, the food is amazing and is served very quickly after ordering even on a busy Friday night, they could have a slightly bigger pudding menu but on the whole really good quality meals and the pizzas are divine

**CHEF KISSES FINGERS**. Went for my sisters birthday, was so lovely we were sat under the cherry blossom tree near the cocktail bar served by Imogen who was lovely and took some photos for us, she also double checked some food items for us which was lovely and brought out a really cute happy birthday chocolate and ice cream slate for sister she really enjoyed it so thanks for Imogen :) the drinks where amazing really well presented will definitely be going again.

After reading reviews here on Google I was expecting a great experience.
Wow I was not disappointed, the whole experience was brilliant. From walking in to the bar and been greeted with a very warm welcome the selection of beers, wines, cider and soft drinks for the kids was great. We were seated in the long room which was very pleasant, the menu was explained by a very professional waiter (Darren). The food arrived it looked great. Portion sizes were more than other restaurants and so was the taste.
This meal was for a birthday treat and the staff were amazing
We will be definitely coming back. Thank you to all at the Bulls Head

Been going for 10 years+. It’s a shame they are always so busy, hard to get in. But that’s expected I guess. Pizzas are great, main menu isn’t as good. Manager was very rude once
4. 5.
Excellent pizza, with good service and an excellent range of beers. The interior is to a high standard and makes you comfortable and relaxed. Highly recommended
G. M.
Excellent food, service and value for money. Very busy, but where still looked after and enjoyed the food and experience. Will visit again.
D. H.
Fantastic food, amazing atmosphere and the staff couldn't be more helpful, accommodated for a disabled booking near to the toilet, did i say the food is amazing? Will definitely return with more guests next time A++++
A. W.
Incredible food incredible atmosphere and our waitress Abi was just amazing we live just by the joiners but would come back here for the service she was brilliant will be requesting one of her tables next time! We came Sunday 20th 12pm
P. D.
Service and food was excellent. Disappointed and evening marred by three of my party leaving with stains on their clothes from food / sauce left on the chairs. Suggest seats are checked and wiped after each sitting.
J. C.
Having a table in the Garden Room sells this pub a thousand times over but equally the food is amazing as is the service so even if you don't get a table in the garden Room it is a fab place to eat.
They seem to be running a reduced menu at the moment, but it's all their best sellers so you won't be disappointed. Our favourites for mains are the yakatori sticks. We often share this between two if we are having starter and dessert too.
D. B.
Very nice ambience, food was good and so was the portions. Staff are very polite and welcoming. Would definitely visit again.
M.
Loved it, very busy vibrant place, food great, dropped a star because ig took 3 staff and over half hour to open a bottle of wine at the bar.
l. h.
We had a lovely young lady called Lily attend to our table. Very polite, very friendly and attentive to our requests. Thank you very much 😄
C.
Really nice gastro pub with a great selection of good. They have loads of different pizzas available. A huge selection of beer too!
D. R.
What to expect from a trip to The Bulls Head: A contemporary yet supremely cozy ambience, fireplace, candles, etc. Friendly staff that provide a decent level of service. Food was VERY tasty.
Shout outs: The fact they have a loyalty points app (ChilledPubs) was fantastic, and the selection of drinks and the food menu were both HUGE. Spoiled for choice.
Things that could be improved: Can get really hot in there at busy times with all the patrons and the fires, but that may not bother many people.
Overall, looking forward to my next visit. And the next. And then next...
S. H.
Amazing place, amazing food, I can not complain about one little thing. Everything is spot on. The service is amazing considering how busy they are all the time. Even the little add ons like the water and doggy bones for the guests with dogs outside is so cute. Also the take a sweet tubs upstairs are such a lovely idea too. If your thinking of going don't think anymore just go you will not be disappointed.
C. E.
One of my favourite places to eat. Great food at decent prices in wonderful surroundings
C. H.
Always come to the Bulls Head for a special night and are never disappointed.
Great quality food with fresh ingredients. Staff are kind, curtious and couldn't do enough for you. The food isn't terribly expensive.
They do amazing pizzas which you must try and the long sticks of meat are great if you're a meat-eater.
Make sure you book in advance as you might struggle to find a table if you just show up.
J. C.
Absolutely fabulous service and food and atmosphere, and to top it off got a lovely ice-cream as it was my birthday 🎉🥳🎊
M. C.
Had a fantastic meal here. Had the steak on the hanging skewers which were great! The staff, relaxing atmosphere and service was great. We traveled an hour to get there and would definitely do it again.
K. W.
What a great find....popped in on the off-chance of abite to eat....wow..this place certainly exceeded any expectation. Delicious food and greT service. Will definitely be back to try patmore on the menu.
C. S.
Always fantastic. Always! Service, food, ambience.
B. M.
Been here several times and always a good meal at reasonable prices. Also worth mentioning if a special occasion for a special treat! It's my nephew's favourite place for pizza, but I went for my birthday with friends and we all enjoyed it. Busy frim when we arrived (3.30pm) until we left around 7pm which is always a good sign. Means you need to book. I'll be back!
P. L. G.
This is a nice pub, has a great ambience, nice character and a full menu that caters for vegetarians and vegans. I would have given give stars but the you dish that I ordered came out cold and although there was nothing to say it was going to be hot, I thought it would be and was disappointed.
T. M.
Great Sunday lunch at Bulls Head with the family. The food is fantastic, the staff is kind and the atmosphere friendly. The price is also good, taking is consideration that it's a guarantee that you will be full at the end of your meal. I do recommend a visit. Enjoy.
P. D.
It's an eating experience, amazing food in a unique environment and ideal for special occasions, we loved it.

Victim of it's own success. Always busy. Car park always full. Difficult to book. But - there's good reason. It's great. Great selection of drinks, decent food selection and their own pizzas. Lovely old pub with extensions in all directions. Great staff. You may be waiting for food on Fridays and Saturdays. Ours took an hour for just the starters.
a. d.
Perfect setting for a lovely meal on our 54th anniversary. Staff really helpful and welcoming even when they were very busy.
D. F.
When you turn up to park and can't get a space on a Thursday evening it has to be good. Seated quickly (had booked!), huge selection of beers to choose from... And then the food. Dang, the food is unreal. See the (semi blurry) images. It just tasted awesome. Super stoked to have discovered this place. Will come back.
H. N.
Went today for my birthday. Absolutely stunning in the garden room.
Food was amazing. Loved my goldfish bowl cocktail.
The cookie dough dessert was delicious.
Staff were attentive without being in the way. Would highly recommend. Can't wait to go back.
V. C.
Great food! Amazing ambiance! Amy our waitress was FABULOUS....definitely going back....
S. H.
Amazing, good quality food at very reasonable prices. Great service and huge variety of drink choices. Our go-to restaurant for eating out! Love it
J. K.
I have just visited the bulls head and ordered a lovely burger cooked by mimi! Will defo be coming again and look forward to trying more of the menu!
P. P.
Food not as good as it used to be, cocktails are quite uninteresting but staff is great.
M. B.
The food presentation was impressive, generous amount & yummy. We liked its friendly atmosphere & charming service. They adhered to the CoVid 19 preventative measures.
G. A.
Our 'go to' place for Family Birthday Celebrations - it never disappoints. Food, ambience and staff are always amazing. 5 stars👍🏻
S. H.
Stunning place. Lovely staff. Great food. What more can you ask for!
s. c.
Been going to Bulls head for many years and enjoy the foot and atmosphere but went last Friday with friends and sad to say the food was not as good as usual. This has been a few times not so good. Disappointed.
D. G.
Excellent food. Great atmosphere
H. W.
So nice inside! Great service and delicious food!
G.
Staff very welcoming and extra thoughtful. Food excellent big portions and very tasty. Thank you phoebe, our waitress.
S. R.
Gorgeous food, attentive and efficient staff, beautiful surroundings. Excellent value for money!!
J. M.
The food here is amazing! Definitely recommend the Garden Room as it has a great atmosphere. The pizzas are huge so you could share between two people. And of course the cocktails are great. Love this place.
L. W.
Beautifully presented pub, with a welcoming cosy ambiance. The staff are welcoming and attentive. The food is exciting, well presented and most importantly, delicious. A special meal a week before Christmas, and it was perfect
A. B.
Delicious food and very good drinks!!! Very impressed!
S. F.
Burger was wonderful, quick service until we wanted to pay, then it was a wait for help.
Staff friendly quiet calm atmosphere
S.
Amazing place, we haven't been for about 5 years, they have made such a lovely job of the place, we sat in the garden room which I would definitely recommend, it's beautiful and a has a lovely atmosphere!! Loved the large cherry blossom tree in there!
The food was really good, plenty of it too! And a very special thankyou to our waitress Zoe, she was so lovely and looked after us very well!
There are so many lovely touches, sun cream for the garden, blankets for when it's cold outside, dog biscuit station to name a few.
We had a very special evening and will 100% go back!! 🙂🙂🍴
D. S.
We visited here on the 3rd November for my wife’s 30th birthday. There was 7 of us in the group and the overall experience was fantastic.
The food was really nice and tasty.
But the customer service and the attention to detail was what really stood out with our visit. We had a server called Gino who really made the evening special and made the difference with his customer service.
He was exceptional. He made everyone feel special and was so helpful, and evening sorted out a small birthday plate, with some gelato for my wife.
Again thank you so much for the experience and we will be visiting as regulars from now on.
C. B.
Food is excellent, menu is limited and split in two. Food arrives at different times if you order from the pizza menu.
G. Y.
Driving back home after a trip out to Calke Abbey, and stopped here for a quick G&T and a pint. Looks like your typical country local from outside, but the fact that the car park was almost full was probably a clue. What a gem! This is how a pub should be. Great range of both bottled and draft beers, with a wonderful range of mouth watering food (wood fired pizzas, plus Japanese fare and the more traditional) and their own amazing looking gelato ice-cream creations. Three levels, with the restaurant area on the second level - and an outside terrace. Wonderful.
D. C.
Great place for good food in lovely surroundings a little different from your normal pub. Huge portions and extensive range of drinks.
J. F.
Great pub, great atmosphere, good selection of beers etc. Food was beautiful and the staff were helpful and hardworking. What more could you ask for 👍
K. G.
Amazing environment, very cozy , very friendly staff , large variety of tastes ,oh God that sirloin stake was divine.... I defenitely going again to try the rest of them...just book and go guys...
K. G.
Lovely customer service, delicious food and home made lemonade. Yummy!!!
We'll visit again x
S. D.
Staff very curtious. Nothing too much trouble. Pedigree ale perfect. Food very tasty. Loads to choose from.
D. H.
What an amazing place. AmaIng staff. I cannot prise highly enough. The food was perfect. I loved it.. I really did.
R. C.
Car Park was rammed for a weekday and menu was alittle pricey especially for steaks . Great for special occasions though , lovely place and staff were helpful.
A. J.
Fabulous food and drink in a beautiful setting with attentive service.
Only downsides (not enough to lose a star) is that the Chilled Pubs app hasn't confirmed my email address so I can't collect the loyalty points and the prices in the pub are higher than those on the website. At a couple of pounds per dish this adds quite a chunk to the bill.
A. M.
Absolutely wonderful. The food was delicious and very well priced. Customer service from Mario was excellent and the garden room is hugely recommended, beautiful and a lovely experience for our anniversary. Huge portions too so always a winner!
C. N.
Fabulous place. A firm favourite of mine. Always great, friendly & efficient service, fantastic fresh quality food and decent sized portions ( the pizzas are huge!) The menu is varied and caters for all. I would like to see a couple more decent desserts on the menu but that's because I like a traditional pud. Highly recommend the cocktails & love the home made lemonade too. Very clean and tables positioned with plenty of space surrounding them. Car park gets quite busy at times but there is parking available in the street. Highly recommend.
F. B.
Amazing place, food was great and to top this the staff was just perfect!!
S. A.
Lovely meal. The atmosphere of the pub is wonderful. Expecially enjoyed the Garden restaurant with the lovely pink blossom tree in the centre. Wonderful menu and a very creative array of cocktails to enjoy. Staff ard all freidnly and keen to help and service just could not be faulted. I look forward to returning and dining at the other restaurant in the chain of Chilled Pubs.
J. M.
Lovely place great food and service and a lovely atmosphere
B. H.
Had about 3 full red onions cut in half on my steak skewer and only 3 big ish steak peices and my friends got 6 peices on the chicken one for 24 quid while tasted great not good enough value at all really .. garlic bread absolutely up there for the 5 quid it cost .. cocktails are great and service spot on
C. B.
Absolutely fabulous venue. Great welcome, lovely food and great customer service. This was our first visit to celebrate our anniversary and I’m sure it will be the first of many; attention to detail and extra touches made it a very enjoyable evening.
J. R.
Food is exceptional and will definitely comong back, the forest style restaurant is great. The bathtub cocktail is definitely worth getting.
S. B.
Often visit when in town..good food, friendly staff, helpful and easy access which is key for us😃
L.
Visited for Sunday lunch and was blown away by the quality of the food. This is no bog standard pub roast. It really was something special. If l didn't live 2 hours away l'd be a regular
M. C.
We went here to celebrate my daughters birthday & moving into her new home. the choice of food & drinks was amazing. Our host Imogen was very attentive without being obtrusive and the cocktails were very novel. on the outside it looks like a small village pub but the garden & marquee give it a big restaurant feel. We will defiantly recommend it to our friends and will come back soon.

For our works Christmas Dinner the bulls head was extremely busy. As my first visit, the amount of people might have felt a bit to much any other time. Despite the feel of wall to wall people, it was a great experience, quite festive and inclusive.
Parking was just enough, with us zipping into a just freed up space. The decor being super chunky wood (everything) in an old building.
The floor plan might be easy to get lost in on busy evenings though I somehow managed to make it back to the table every time. The toilets were clean, fresh and in good condition.
The courses were spaces well, timely and lovely too. The waiting staff were exceptionally helpful and full of Christmas cheer.

Great Quality Food and Taste. Lovely Cosy environment. When ever we visit Derby will defiantly be returning.

Thank you so much for a lovely meal ! When I made the reservation I mentioned it was to celebrate my mums birthday - there were balloons waiting on the table and a "happy birthday" dessert board written in sauce at the end of the meal! It was a very thoughtful touch which I really appreciated. Staff were fantastic and the atmosphere was great. Thanks again !
c. d.
Faultlesss from start to finish especially for those with a large appetite. Will revisit for evening meal very soon
A. H.
The food is absolutely amazing!
Service was a little slow as it was busy, but it's worth the wait.
H. B.
Very nice atmosphere. It was very busy for a Wednesday afternoon. I actually managed to pick the wrong thing for me but my fault not theirs. Would go again.
I. M.
Yet another great venue in the Chilled Pubs retinue. I have been lucky enough to go to The Three Tuns, Joiners Arms and today, The Bulls Head in Repton. Usual excellent service from every member of staff from host desk to waiting staff and management. Had the Bulls Head special pizza. What a beast! Just managed to get through it. Cannot recommend this group enough, they have a great formula, so you know whichever pub you go to, the standard will be high throughout. Well done!!!!
c. b.
Excellent place to dine friendly, cheerful and efficient staff... An all round good experience
J. B.
We booked for a special occasion two weeks ahead whilst we were there already having a meal. Called on the day to confirm the time we had asked for as we were unsure if it was 7 or 7:30, only to be told there was no booking!!! All that said they did there best and managed to fit 5 of us in albeit on a table for 4 with another chair pushed onto the end. The staff as always were attentive without being overpowering. The meals were good, all in all it was a nice night. One error on the bill was we were charged for two cokes when our table only had one. For £2.70 it was hardly worth arguing. Would have been 5 stars without the missed booking and error on the bill.
M. H.
Beautiful place, our waitress Jasmine was lovely. Gave us free ice cream as it was our anniversary
N. L.
Very enjoyable family meal. Great food & reasonably priced. Good atmosphere.
Service staff were all quite young & nit really on the ball.
D. P.
Most awesome pub of much splendiforousness, and very nice pizza to boot !
A. W.
Exceptional food and extremely friendly staff.. full mark. Would definitely recommend
E. L.
Beautiful mealb...my whole family 9 of us throughly enjoyed it.
D. J.
Great food, lovely looking inside too. I am in a wheelchair & the staff couldn't have been any more helpful & attentive. My only tiny criticism is the disabled toilet is rather small but it's an old building & they've done their best. Thanks The Bulls Head, we'll definitely be back!
C. B.
Very nice place to eat. Good service didn't get the name of the lady too but very good service by her..
I. S.
Booked a table to celebrate hubby's birthday and they did us proud. Balloons on the table, beautiful and plentiful food, lovely birthday board with dessert on the house, impeccable service...truly lovely evening...
c. s.
Great food, service. Pleasnt surroundings.

We had an amazing evening again!!!
Niamh look after us very well again, she is amazing and very good in her job.
D. A.
The Bulls Head is very unique in aspects in the way the is served and the place it's self. Food very good very good portions, the only problem was a personal one. I'm disabled and I found the stairs a problem, but other than that the staff were very friendly and hardworking.
K. F.
Fantastic food and service. Friendly and relaxed atmosphere nothing was too much trouble. Lovely garden and quirky interior.
Y. B.
I went for my 60th birthday with family and friends for the first time. I was delighted with the warm welcome from the staff's the atmosphere was fantastic. The Food was WOW!!! WOW!!! AND WOW!!! The portions was massive. I will be back...
S. D.
Love to go to this place when i can. The food is great, plenty to choose from on the menu, nice outdoor area for when the weather is fine, good atmosphere reasonable prices. Would highly recommend

We visited the Bulls head on Sunday 20th June and experienced a fabulous meal, cocktails service etc …absolutely first class. This made us want to return for a repeat experience when our nieces boyfriend took a week off from RAF training. We booked a table in the pub so we could bring the dog which we still did even though it was an especially hot day yesterday as it was thundery and we did not dare leave her home alone as thunder and fireworks disturb. We arrived ahead of time on Thursday 22nd July for our 7 pm booking. The pub was busy but not heaving. They tried to seat us in the Pizza cooking area which was totally unacceptable as far to hot for my dog. This issue was quickly and efficiently resolved and within minutes we were seated in the slightly cooler main pub area. The waiter and bar service was exceptional as expected. However, the food was terribly disappointing. I ordered the Cajun chicken burger as I enjoyed it so much on my previous visit this one was nothing like the month prior and very mediocre. My husband started with batter thick jumbo prawns followed by a Thai chicken dish that M&S cook chill do better. The boyfriends burger was good, the nieces child menu chicken sticks were again so batter heavy that she could eat them. The chips were golden hot and perfect.overall very disappointing and the food needs to be consistently good. Will we return ? Not in a hurry …
K. l.
Beautiful in the garden room! Took my Mum for her birthday and didn't regret it. Served by Heather and she was so lovely, assertive and welcoming and put me at ease with my 2 year old. Gorgeous food too. Will definitely be returning!
N. S.
A lovely pub and a fantastic restaurant attached with really quality food. Beautiful garden room restaurant and the staff were very attentive and understanding around covid concerns.
A. C.
Hands down one of the best all round pubs I've ever come across. 5/5 in all departments.
Plenty of tables to drink or dine at. The pizza oven creates delicious pizzas that put high street equivalents to shame. A big garden to enjoy a beverage or food in. But the cherry on top is the the range of drinks available.
Two pages full of soft drinks for the non drinkers. For those who do enjoy beer or cider there's over a hundred to choose from. You maybe spoilt for choice but all categories are covered: lager both draft & bottled, craft, stout with guest ales topping off the list. 100% recommend...you won't be disappointed!
G. N.
I've been a regular diner here for years. Wherever you are seated, the atmosphere is fantastic and food is always of the highest standard. A fantastic selection of beers which is rarely seen away from a Craft specialist either.
I've only knocked it a star as the times we've been there this year, the service hasn't been great. Don't get me wrong, I understand COVID-19 things etc... but normally the servers know exactly whats on the menu and offer recommendations are regularly come to the table to offer further refreshments, and bring bread and oil to the table but this seems to have stopped.
Our last visit, the server wasn't aware of the beer I wanted which they do stock. When asked what we wanted for starters we asked for the Baked Camembert to share (which is lovely!), but we got a stick off another menu. She apologised which was fine but nobody told the kitchen so one of our mains came next with the starter 2 minutes later closely followed by the remaining main which was too much food to have on the table. We had to put one plate on a plant behind us. No assistance or offer to keep something warm in the kitchen. It was very stressful. We weren't asked if we wanted more drinks, and it was really difficult to get somebodies attention for the bill.
I know they are normally very customer-centric and the service before this year has always been extremely slick, so hopefully its a blip.
We will continue to return as we know you can't beat the quality of the food here.
D. P.
Fantastic food, fantastic service what more can I say 💙
C.
Arrived for my mother in laws birthday this evening, greeted by a friendly lady, then a lovely kind man took us to our table, ordered drinks and they arrived fast. Food arrived in good timing and tasted really good. Overall, good food, friendly lovely staff, the waiter even gave my boy a balloon. Will be visiting again soon
Thank you :)
C. D.
Great service and food
Nice touch for my friends Birthday of the icecream and brownie dessert
F. M.
Probably the nicest pub and restaurant in Repton, and for a wide area in South Derbyshire. Delicious wood fired pizzas and a really well stocked bar, plus a busy yet well appointed atmosphere make it a very nice place to meet up with friends for drinks or food.
J. J.
Absolutely amazing place, a hidden gem. The restaurant area is like being in a forest at night, so so cool !!
C. W.
Amazing pizza as usual. Staff really professional and friendly. Would definitely recommend.
K. W.
A pleasant evening had by all. Excellent food and very well looked after by Cainaan.
A. B.
Tasty food, friendly staff and fancy drinks.
G. W.
We love The Chilled Pub group locally we go to the Hunloke but on our way back from Stourbridge we called at The Bulls Head Repton the only 2 negitive was it took quite a while for someone to show us to a table but I think that they had a staff shortage unlike the Hunloke they always seem to have plenty of staff and the table that we sat at (106) had grooves in the table top which must be difficult to clean out and had particules of food in the grooves which is not very nice too see other than that very nice food atmosphere great and service brilliant unfortunately the cellar was flooded so no draft beer but still worthy of 5 stars
B. D.
Great food, service was a bit slow 🐌
S. B.
Absolutely amazing place. Extra special & the food is perfect
S. p.
Good atmosphere lovey staff and the foods great
M. F. A.
Loving this restaurant, the way it's designed is quite stunning plus there's lot's of garden dining set in beautiful surroundings. The staff were very friendly and the food was excellent.. overall a great experience and will be returning for sure.
H. B.
Lovely atmosphere .... service very good but we were by the door and it was col.
The skewer tasted wonderful but had more onion than chicken which was disappointing. Burger and pizzas were amazing ..... overall lovely place and would do visit again
s.
It was our first visit with our granddaughter who had just turned seventeen, we had amazing experience with all their staff not forgetting the SUPERB food that was served to us, we will definitely going back for a second visit.
A. W.
Stunning venue, amazing food , presented beautifully, fantasic, friendly wounderful staff, lovely to meet the owners too, felt very welcome. Whole place wonderfully clean and tidy very impressed.Look forward to another visit. Worth more than five stars..
T. B.
Great food, great atmosphere, great friendly staff. Everything was delicious. The place has a nice ambience. The staff were very attentive and friendly.
M. P.
Good food, busy place, friendly staff..
M. O.
Excellent meal and service good value..
J. W.
As much as the food was very good. Place that does not see cash as a legal tinder. As we was not aware of this when making a booking. Was only when we was waiting outside the restaurant. That we were told it was card payment only.
T.
Went here today for our 27th Wedding Anniversary & the food & the service was second to none. We both enjoyed the sweet chilli chicken yakitori stick Mmmmmmm ! We didn’t have room for desert but they came over to us with a free pudding which was such a lovely gesture & it was absolutely gorgeous too!!! Would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a meal out. We will definitely be returning that’s for sure.
M. N.
Pizzas were fantastic, thin crust, lots of topping, could have two toppings ozone pizza, half and half. Service excellent, would have given 5 stars but a bit too dark for me but that's just a personal thing, I know that's how it is often these days.
a. l.
Had a very pleasant evening here for my friends birthday. Our waiter Vullnet was very welcoming and friendly. Made the night more enjoyable than it already was. Food was fast and delicious. Cocktails were great. Will be back again and thank you Vullnet!
Y. S.
amazing place food and drinks are brilliant staff couldn't do enough for you.
D. D.
Quirky building, interesting menu, helpful staff.
Would go back there.
B. H.
Wow. What a lovely place, in a beautiful village. The decor was outstanding!
G. D.
Excellent food and excellent service as always.
d. d.
Love this place amazing decor. Friendly staff and amazing food and generous portions. Looking forward to going back. Excellent.
J. C.
lovely pizza excellant staff service
J. C.
Have only been twice and although both times ghd pizzas have been lovely we have "accidentally" been overcharged on the bill. Twice? When I've only been two times? Staff and setting all very lovely but the mistakes on my bill have started to make me a bit wary of this place.
D. P.
Food was ok but nothing special and expensive. The choice of real ale was very disappointing only London pride and Pedigree available when we were there. The table we were given was in the entrance to another room so we had staff and customers passing our table all night. Really disappointed.
R.
Fantastic range of cocktails to try! The food was great, staff super friendly and welcoming. & the garden room was a stunning scene.
A. W.
Great service, great food, great Covid measures in place. Good space around the tables.
There is car parking but can often be full as it's such a busy place. You can find spaces on the road but it is a small village so you need good parking skills.
Service was excellent. We had plenty of information on what the procedures were, what was on the menu and the food was brought out to us and we were checked on several times to make sure we were OK.
Food was excellent. Very nicely presented, tasty and large portions.
Tables were well spaced out feeling quite safe.
You need to sign in when you arrive for Track and Trace, one way systems are in place where necessary, sanitisers on hand and plenty of signage.
An excellent pub that doesn't disappoint.
D. M.
Pizza was amazing. Burger overcooked and no flavour at all. Serious fly issue, i counted 30 without trying. Easy fix....get a new burger chef and an insectacuter. Waiting staff were great.
T. J.
Great pub, very dog friendly, the food was excellent and very reasonably priced, loads of different beers, loved the open fire, well worth a visit.
B. L.
Great atmosphere, brilliant service and really nice food.
k.
Amazing food and beautiful setting. If you go, book the garden room for insta worthy selfies! Pizzas are amazing and so are the cocktails. Really friendly staff too.
S. B.
A lovely lunch here today to celebrate a special birthday. Staff attentive, pizza to die for and prosecco well chilled. Will return. Thanks for a great experience x
C. W.
Really nice restaurant. The garden room is really pretty and a great place for a romantic night out. Usually very busy, so booking in advance a must. Great food and drink.
E. F.
Amazing food, great ambience, friendly staff and always feels like a treat to visit.
We visited last, coming out of lockdown, so they were just serving outside at the time but it was still great and we tried the pizzas which were amazing. Worth the travel out to visit.
S. W.
Lovely restaurant and very welcoming to our 2 year old. Children's pizzas are huge but you'll get a box for leftovers 👍🏻
A. J.
Excellent food and very friendly staff.
J. S.
Great pub, great beer and great food. Just hope you don’t get served by the smallest female waitress covered in make-up. Whenever I asked her for something she would just grunt and completely ignore my every request.
L. P.
Great pub, staff very friendly, good food.
C. D.
Food is fine, maybe a bit too busy for the amount of staff. Average.
k. h.
Brilliant place to eat great food great staff
Recommend to anyone.
j.
Lovely place to eat out at! Food is always amazing tasty and hot! Staff friendly and helpful the only problem I have is the amount of flys they have flying around landing on your food and cutlery!!! That’s the only down side to this lovely place! This is a problem that needs to be sorted it’s not just a summer thing they have flys during the winter as well!
H. K.
Lovely drinks, food was spot on.
Couple of blips with service like forgetting cutlery, steak knives and drinks but understandable when they've just reopened and everyone is getting back into the swing of things.
Will definitely be back.
S. T.
Great food lovely staff top class
m. b.
Excellent food & service at a very competitive price!!
S. V.
Have been here many times over the years and it still doesn't stop me returning! Great food and lovely atmosphere!
g. m.
Fantastic food, atmosphere and service
p. g.
Excellent service and food in lovely surroundings. Went on Christmas eve. Very festive with decorations.
B. J.
The place was done beautiful, staff were very friendly and the only thing that let it down was the lack of choice on the menu.
S.
Awesome place. We had been to the Joiners arms a couple of times so thought we'd try out the Bulls head. Big enough car park, very friendly staff. Good food menu and cocktails. Food is always cooked to a high standard.
T. H.
First time visiting and definitely plan to come again. The forest room is awesome and was a great treat to end a walk with. Staff were all friendly and made us feel right at home. There's dishes to suit those with both big and small appetites and what we ate on our table all seemed to get big thumbs up. Think I'll brave the big skewers next time
K. R.
Got took here as s treat. Very nice not cheap but you get what you pay for
Will be going back with friends decor garden room and waiter service impeccable 👌
J. H.
Love the food. A few more veggie options would be good, mainly all cheese
M. M.
Great food Great atmosphere friendly staff pub is nice and cosy and rustic and welcoming
A. Q.
Had the Beef stroganoff, very tasty. Service was excellent. The lemonade sorbet mocktail is one I will definitely come back for
s. j.
Great food, atmosphere, and very competent, friendly staff
Made us feel very welcome ☺
R. M.
Great food and Extremely good customer service from Abi
M. C.
Lovely food excellent customer service.. just the drunken woman who passed out on the sofa with her legs up on the wall while her partner groped her wasn't a good view at 4pm felt a bit sorry the young family next to me the phrase "get a room definitely applied" !!! Staff seemed to know her so prob regular occurrence , so keep away from the tables near the sofa at the front of pub.. 5 stars to staff and food though .
B. S.
We popped in tonite(sunday)around 8pm..looked busy but parked in carpark, plenty of tables in the bar,had a lovely dry cider, name escapes me,on tap tho,and a none alcoholic warstiener beer, both tasted good, wife had beef stroganof and I had pork piri chicken stick which was beautifully cooked with two sides, tempura cauliflower and a greek salad, all our food was excellent and we will be back to try something else and look forward to the chain opening the 3 tonns in Lichfield for a meal closer to home, but well worth the effort to visit ..
T. P.
Great food and good friendly staff
s. m.
3 out of 4 meals were excellent. 1 not but didn't have to pay for it.
M. l.
Beautiful food, great service in a beautiful setting.
J. E.
Amazing portion size, environment and atmosphere. The service from our waiter "Alex" was great, really good banter, welcoming and accommodating.
M. R.
Brilliant lunch with an extensive range of menu
A. L.
Fantastic, quick service and amazing food and I'm a fussy eater. Well priced too 😀
K. W.
Absolutely amazing food and atmosphere. The yakitori stick was delcious and the cocktail were brilliant. Shout out to Jorge for great service too
P. M.
There is always a nice vibe going off at the Bulls head. No riff raff or bad behaviour or swearing. The choice of beers wines is a little bit overwhelming. Although you do pay a little more for your drinks no one seems to moan about it. The only down side, although it's close to the main road, it isn't too close to the bus stop. Hence 4 stars.
M. R.
Lovely food, very friendly staff, garden room was lovely, not really sure why it was so long since we last visited ! Will return again soon
K. E.
Excellent meal great guy serve us very engaging and polite
l.
Food and service were excellent. Had a pizza for the main and it was quite big!
Would definitely go again.
R. v. V.
A lovely experience with delicious food. You won't be disappointed. An abundant amount of food for a very good price. The service was fantastic as well. I received a token little birthday dessert as a complete surprise from Beth. The staff in general were warm and friendly, including with the kids in our party. Highly recommend this place. Make sure you book for groups so as not to miss out.
C. E.
Absolutely fantastic food and drinks, great service and a very warm welcome. We will be back very soon to enjoy again
M. B.
A very busy popular establishment. Advise to book your table if you are planning to eat here. The food is good however my partner had the beef stroganoff and it tasted so much of cornflour it was rejected. Alcohol is very expensive too.
The surroundings were lovely. We went during the Christmas period and a lot of effort had been made to make the place look festive. Very nice. The bar is dog friendly which is nice.
Not much of a bad experience and may probably visit again.
S. M.
The place and service was great. Very interesting garden room. Menu is very good, lots of tasty options. Had the gammon stick before which was delicious. Unfortunately the steak stick I had this time was overcooked. Was meant to come out red, but it was most definitely well done. Hopefully just a one off. The sides however were very tasty.
T.
Always amazing food at the Bulls head. A perfect place to meet friends and have a drink. The car park can get a little busy so make sure you leave plenty of time to find a spot. The social distancing measures actually work really well here too, but you will need to book in advance and time is limited at your table. This does mean that the kitchen is never rushed and the table service makes things a bit more civilized!
I. B.
Good food, good beer, good atmosphere and friendly staff. The only reason for 4 stars is that parking can be a problem.
M. R.
We came here for my birthday with family on wednesday and it was a great evening.
The food was amazing and tasty, we sat in the garden room which was beautiful and we had great service from gino.
We wil definatly be back.
Thanks.
B. H.
A brilliant return to the Bulls Head today for Sunday lunch. A little different being seated in marquee in the car park, but it every table was well spaced out and the Staff were completely in control - COVID safety measures being enforced, whilst keeping Customers engaged and happy. Pizzas were spot on as always. Special thanks to Gino for looking after us.
W.
We had dinner here and the setting in the garden room was really nice. As for the food is is above average to what you get in a pub. The staff where good it was a busy Sunday. You will need to book a table. Would I return not sure. Took off 2 stars for food as I was expecting better to be honest judging by other reviews.
N. O.
Great service and the staff are super friendly and know what they're doing, menu has lots of choice :) the special yakitori sticks thing they do is really fun and well priced. The drink choices are so so great I had a vimto bon bon and wow so good I want to go back again soon :D
M. D.
I'd heard many good things about the Bulls Heads before a visit for my sons 18th birthday and they have all been spot on. We tried cocktails, pizzas, steaks and desert all freshly cooked and delicious. Staff and surroundings just as good. Massive selection of drinks. Can't wait to return.
j. j.
Absolutely amazing large gammon skewer and the halloumi fries with honey loved it
J. B.
Fantastic first time visit for a Party of 8. A must pre-book as it's gets busy in the restaurant area. Kids loved the Pizza's and they where that big got boxed up and taken home. I had the fillet steak which I can honestly say the best I have eaten in the UK in a pub/restaurant. There was only complements from the whole table. While I personally did not have a sweet, they again looked fantastic with only complements being heard around the table. Thanks for a great night out and hope to make it again !
N. O.
Absolutely love this place The food is fantastic and there's a great selection of drinks All the staff are so friendly and helpful which just adds to the alround great atmosphere
M. J.
Lovely food and alot of beverages to choose from and not over priced like other pub's staff always friendly and professional definitely be there again and again and again
S. B.
Beautiful, service great, food Beautiful great price.
M. H.
Had a great afternoon dinner to celebrate our daughters birthday and as usual the food was lovely. Must say the bulls head have made some wonderful changes and the staff were very polite and made us very welcome. Still my favourite place to eat out, thanks to all.
A. M.
The food is amazing, a bit more price wise than your usual pub. Never had a bad meal. The staff are lovely and attentive without being overbearing. Love going here, I wish we could afford to go more often! Parking is a nightmare though! We usually get a taxi or a lift
F. H.
Really good and so near to my old school! Highly recommended
m. j.
Best place to eat between Birmingham and Manchester. Make sure you book. Email ahead of any dietary restrictions or requirements. The staff are excellent and the communication is perfect.
T.
The food here was incredible, it tasted amazing as well as having huge serving sizes. The seating area is stunning and gives you a warm welcome. The waiters were kind and gave us as much time as we needed. The deserts were also massive and extremely nice. I would defiantly reccoment this place. The picture I have posted with this is where I was seated, as you can see it's very pretty!
P. N.
Amazing pub we visit every time we visit Repton, food is great, choice of drinks brilliant, atmosphere superb and best pizzas ever.. oh and great value to boot.
K. F.
Amazing food, especially the pizzas, and the staff are friendly and attentive. Will definitely be going again
C. R.
If I could give more stars I would. Fantastic atmosphere, great food and wonderful service. Gino was a first class waiter
S. R.
Excellent atmosphere, food, fantastic staff
E. A.
Very atmospheric, good food , excellent service. The lighting at night in the conservatory was lovely but a little too dark to easily read menu! It would be great if they provided a little torch to use if needed!! So do bring your own or use the one on your phone. But definitely worth a night out- will be coming back again soon.
D. B.
Great restaurant, great good and great service
M. J.
Excellent food at excellent prices - really lovely pub, and very safe to visit. Staff very friendly and not overly attentive, so overall a really positive experience. Been here loads of times before and will definitely be coming again (and again, and again...)
L. H.
Huge portions. Possibly a bit too big. Stunning decor. Friendly staff.
J. G.
Good atmosphere, fantastic staff, good selection of drinks. Menu is good, yakitori sticks recommended if you're a carnivore. Does get very busy, book a table in advance to avoid disappointment. Parking can also be an issue and I feel the food can suffer a little at busy times but hasn't stopped us visiting regularly. All the chilled pubs are great!
P. R.
Happened upon this place after a nearby business meeting and we're glad we did. We ordered 4 different meals and all we're excellent. If you're up for an authentic pizza experience, do give them a go, seriously the best pizza I've had outside of Naples. The price is very reasonable, the hostesses friendly and there's a large selection of quality draft and keg beers. The only detraction is general cleanliness; there was food on the floor, sticky wooden menus and the cutlery wasn't as clean as it should be. I'd happily come back
Z. B.
Loved it here and harry the waiter was amazing a real credit to the place
D. W.
Great food, great atmosphere. Went here the day before Father's Day. It was really hot in the garden restaurant but the staff brought us lots of cold water. The waiter also catered for my 6 month old daughters every need, bringing her a balloon and cushions so she could be comfortable in the seat. The food was great, especially the pizzas. My sister was even happy with the amount of gluten free meals available, and the quality.
W. R.
Had lunch here on a Monday afternoon. Very surprised at how lovely this place is. We loved it. Great food and great choice. Warm with many open fires and the service was spot on and in good time. It gradually got busier and I can imagine it can be over crowded on weekends. I would give this a 5 star but a really annoying problem is the seats we had were wood with no cushions. We were there for over 1 1/2hrs and to be seated on hard chairs isn't comfortable and made us need to leave early. Yes some chairs are covered but the ones in the lower pub weren't. I cant see why they wouldn't have some seat cushions it makes perfect sense. Washable and easy to replace. I will return and I'm very happy with our meal. (I will find a table with padded seats next time) 👍
D. S.
Great food, great service, reasonable prices. A good night out.
B. S.
The food was amazing I would say the best food I've ever had and I've been to restaurant owned by Gordon Ramsey. I had a sirloin stake med rare and It was the best ever. I would 10000% will be coming back and recommend it to anyone within 2 hours of it thats how good the bulls head is. Thank you for such a good meal !!!
G. W.
Great pub with very good portions and a great menu that’s fairly priced. Cocktails are creative and very well priced as well. 100% worth the trip. Lots of great choices for beer with plenty of different world beers both on draft and bottled.
T. C.
My partner and I went for our anniversary and the food was amazing. The cocktails are beautiful and the staff are so friendly. Eventhough it was very busy as it was a saturday night, the service was still quick. We went in the garden room which is absolutely beautiful, really pretty. Thai Green curry is lovely and the cookie dough is gorgeous, however probably enough for 3-4 to share!
A. W.
The bulls Head is fantastic and very friendly service to good deaf people.. l am full deaf
J. C.
9 of us ate in the garden room. The food was lovely; tasty and hot but it was very dark in the room, I could barely see my family member who was at the end of the table! Service was very slow but fortunately we weren't in a rush! The gelato puddings were a real showstopper and delicious. Would definitely go again but ask for a table by the window.
N. F.
Fantastic food and a great atmosphere....loved it. Definitely be back and well worth a visit.
C. W.
Good, freshly prepared pub food. Slightly better quality than we expected, served in good time. Smiling and efficient service. We ate lovely thin crust pizzas, a nice chickpea burger and freshly prepared fish and chips.
K. H.
Great service and amazing food (make sure you are hungry!)
S. J.
Not up to normal standards. Staff very good but food a little disappointing this time. Steak on the Yakitori sticks was overdone and pepper sauce was very watery when normally excellent.
A. D.
Fab environment and service with everything freshly prepared.

Start out by saying me and the Mrs love this place. That said the last couple of times we’ve been we’ve just found the service lacking. I know it’s a bar setting, I know Saturday is busy but the staff are just unaware of whats going on. The last two nights we’ve been side salads have come out circa 10+ minuets after the main course, they forgot our desert on both the last two outings and cleaning the tables takes far too long. That said next babysitter we get we’ll be back. Really enjoy the food, atmosphere and the staff are always really polite. Drinks menu is ace, ale and wine enjoyed all night! Shame we don’t live closer! It’s so close to being amazing........

The garden room is beautiful with a nice atmosphere and the staff were all lovely, friendly and very helpful. The stick starters were delicious and the drinks options were extensive! The fillet steak stick was huge, the meat was 'well done' and the coating made it quite dry but the cheese sauce almost made up for it. The chips are fantastic! Highly recommended the lamb rump, it was wonderful
P. G.
The best pizzas for a good price amazing environment too.
M. G.
Sat in the garden dining area.Food was great, the starters sticks and bread platter were really tasty. The main courses were really good, too. Would have been 5 stars but found the sides- chips and homemade onion rings a little too greasy.
B. H.
Massive pizza oven! Food was delicious and atmosphere was great!!! Definitely a go to!!!

One of favorite places to eat in Derby. If you're going in the evening, it can get busy so do plan ahead and make a booking. Otherwise you can be stuck in the main pub which is very busy and a bit meh for a meal. If you're in the back or upstairs, the atmosphere is amazing. The staff are really friendly. Then the food is really nice especially the pizza. They use decent ingredients which is apparent. Then for drinks, my personal favorite is the home made lemon sorbet. It's a lot cheaper than you would expect it to be - so the bill always makes you smile too!
K. D.
What a place to go for Sunday lunch. Not for the roast dinner clientele.
The choice of food and drinks is very good.
Will be going back for more, highly recommended.
Y. H.
Great cocktails, delicious food and good service.
J. D.
Great service and great food served in the very pretty Garden Room
A. W.
Excellent night out. We were taken here by my son on the recommendation of someone who had remarked that they served the best steaks he had ever tasted. The setting is beautiful, the waitress who served us was very friendly and knowledgeable. We ordered two ribs of beef and a homemade pizza. We asked for our meat to be cooked rare and it was perfect. The meat was very tender and tasted wonderful. A good selection of extra's including chips, mushroom, sweet potato fries and sauces were served with the Rib of Beef. We will definitely be back.
R. D.
Stunning. The food is awesome, the waiter was nice and the atmosphere is very lovely. Highly recommend.
D. W.
Great pub with amazing food and staff
T. G.
Glad to get in, very busy and not surprising, lovely atmosphere, super food and the staff very helpful and attentive.
b. h.
Back here after lockdown and the food is, as usual, excellent. Unfortunately the same could not be said of the service we received, which would only rate a generous 2 star, no cutlery or napkins, drinks missing (or not ordered), no attention given etc. But at the end of the day you're going for the food.
Q. B.
Yo can like the Bulls Head for many reasons. It is a better than average Pub, if you just want a drink. A good selection of Real Ale (important to me) and everything else you might expect. Good atmosphere and service. But if you only come for a drink, you are missing the food offering. I love the menu. A lot of really good and unusual choices that all delight. The Yakitori sticks are lovely as starters or mains. I am working my way through them all. Pizza is terrific too. I am now waiting for spring summer, when the garden room will be opened up and the garden available. Just a really nice place, try it!
S. W.
Lovely food, lovely setting
L. G.
Not failed to have a good meal in years now. Totally recommend.
K. R.
Fabulous food and very attentive staff, couldn't fault it
J. H.
The food was amazing but i felt the service was very lacking. We were left quiet a while between courses without a drink and felt slightly ignored at times. And for a £73 bill for 2 people I wouldve expected a lot more attentiveness but then I would come back cos the food was so good! The happiest person in there was a girl called Zoe who came to take our payment..she was bubbly and happy and lovely. Maybe the rest could take a leaf out of her book 😊
K. B.
We were in the garden Room and it is so beautiful, the food is great and the staff are friendly, would definitely recommend this place
A. O. T. H.
Great food, drink and service.

Dined in the garden Room which was a beautiful setting.
The service and the food was absolutely fantastic.
We can't wait to return.

The bull head is fantastic n very friendly service really good 👍 👌 👏 😀
R. G.
Served by Olivia who was a joy and really great at recommending wines and cocktails. The burgers weren't the best as they took a while to eat but the cheese sharing starter was divine and i can't fault the atmosphere in this lovely place
E. R.
Lots of great reviews but sadly we didn't feel the same went on 27/12/18 2 pizza's had to go back not cooked properly. Garlic bread only a bit of garlic butter in the middle of the flat bread. Steak had to go back all grisly. Oh and a soggy cold steak sandwich. Staff were good changed everything so that was nice just a bit of an inconvenience sending things back. Lovely pub nice surroundings
S. B.
Brilliant meal and service in lovely surroundings
M. P.
Good car park. Good choice of good beers at the bar. Our meals were served hot and were very tasty. Staff very friendly. The men's loo was quite modern but in keeping with the neat decor of the pub. A bit of thought has gone into the formula required for this gastro pub to be successful and that formula works. Shame we won't be able to visit any of the other three sister pubs as I am sure they would also be decent pubs to dine in.
S. P.
The best burger I've ever had !
P. M.
Got a table ok as we had booked. It was v busy. My food arrived, my wife's food arrived 10 minutes after mine and I had finished my pizza. Someone had forgotten it. My drink took 15 minutes to arrive. Great ambiance in the garden room let down by poor customer experience. Food was good though so will try again. Everyone has an off day.
P. M.
Always had a great time here. The pizzas are amazing, portions are generous and the price is very reasonable.
S. T.
Nice friendly staff with good attention to detail. Nicely decorated/furnishings.
Only tried the wood fired pizza's and they are very tasty and worth the money. We will be back to try other options from the menu.
T. H.
Nice food, great cocktails and friendly staff with great customer service
D. M.
Sat at a very drafty table in the garden room. Menu imbalanced, couldn't get a plain chicken for my mother, bought out wrong meal for my son, he only ordered chicken lollipops and chips, we had all finished by the time his arrived. Waitress was quiet coye wasnt sure about several things then drinks arrived with ice when asked for none, I'm sure the ice was just spooned out. All in all not the birthday meal experience I wanted.
k. m.
We Visit this place at least once every time we are down at Alton towers, great service and great wood fired pizza....be warned, the Pizzas are big...bit don't worry they have boxes to take home what you can't manage
A. C.
We had a take away pizza and a couple of drinks while we were waiting. The pizza is authentically wood fired and they offer an excellent variety of high quality toppings. You can go half half which is nice if you cant decide between 2. The drinks were good, i had a gin cocktail and my friend had a rhubarb and custard gin. The pizza came out before we had finished them despite it being a really busy Saturday night. There was a billing error (we were charged too much by mistake) but a manager was there straight away to resolve it so i cannot deduct a star as they handled it extremely politely and professionally. Id recommend a visit or take away.
L. W.
An amazing experience, as always. We had a large party for a birthday, didn't sit down until 9pm, but nothing was too much to ask for. Food is amazing, atmosphere in the dining area at the rear is fantastic. Would recommend the Yakatori sticks!
C. F.
Had a party of four eat here for a Xmas work's meal. The pub is very quaint and well furnished and can be quite busy. Our meal was excellent and the service was top notch.
The price was fair. Would definitely recommended here to other people based upon my experience.
A. H.
This is what a modern pub should be like. Great interior design ( shabby minimal) plenty of vibrant friendly staff, great choice of quality drinks. Great hearty food, not a tiny piece of meat with edible flowers. Ticks ALL the boxes. Go there ! 😎
R. A.
I went here for the first time yesterday and the food was amazing! I had the vegetarian Montpelier pizza (enough for 2 people so I took half home with me!) and the family members I visited with had beef stroganoff and a steak sandwich and chips. They both absolutely loved their meals, too! The menu is very extensive, there's a huge range of options (healthy or hearty, veggie or meaty!) so you'll be spoiled for choice. The service is also excellent, and the drinks were great - I recommend trying the peach gin.
S. L. (.
Fabulous place, very popular and I can see why.
S. W.
Awesome food, friendly staff. Would definitely recommend
D. J.
Lovely atmosphere, delicious pizza and festive cocktails
M. K.
Enjoyed cracking here with a family group. Friendly, obliging and "switched on" staff. Good Chef! Range of unusual meals and some more familiar. Devided into different areas including a "garden Room" with fairy lighted walkways. Very popular so table booking and patience once seated are advised. Normally worth the wait. Enjoy!
K. T.
I've been hear several times now and loved it every time. Me and my boyfriend are big cider lovers and are not too keen on beer, so it's nice to have somewhere with a larger choice of ciders. They also do the best pizzas in the UK in my opinion. I also recommend the steak on a stick (I can't remember the actual name of it).
N. D.
Absolutely fantastic food! Would recommend to anyone. They were very busy but still served very quickly and the food was delicious. Looks fabulous inside and outside, not overly expensive. Worth a trip. Family friendly too.
L. B.
Great service and good food. Always a good atmosphere especially in winter when the fire is on.
J. P.
Does some of the best pizzas in the county, however it is not a cheap pub. Usually very busy and for some reason always incredibly warm? Great selection of beers, ciders, and gins, definitely worth a trip of you're in the area
C. C. W.
Great food and nice atmosphere! Friends took us to lunch there and the food is amazing! Very reasonable price too! We had pizza, fish and chips and chicken on skewer, all very tasty! Will definitely go back!
G. P.
Superb pizzas and excellent service. Minor gripe that the Web site didn't make clear they are only doing pizzas, but as I said they were excellent.
G. G.
Very good country pub lovely interior nice barstaff. Let down on food service myself and my daughter orders pizza my wife orders fish and chips. My self and daughters pizzas came still waiting 15 minutes for my wife's fish and chips very disappointing service.
S.
Great atmosphere, busy, wide choice on the menu, have had from both menu's. Bar well stock. Service is good although certain times, can be a wee bit slow, but the food is delicious, well presented, not cheap, so its special treat occasion, operate a loyalty system within the group of pubs/restaurants owned. Parking can be a nightmare, as the car park is always busy, leaving you to park on the road.
G. B.
Great food. Great cocktails. Luvly staff.
C. M.
Food was good and reasonably priced. Pub was clean and staff welcoming.
F.
Atmosphere is great. Great choice of drink and food. Pizzas need big improvement. Mine was boiled and with burnt durum wheat residues on the bottom layer. Need a hotter oven. Clean the oven every 25 pizzas and do not use too much flour. Dry the wooden board to place the pizza on.
E. M.
A good pub for drinking and good food. Their pizza oven is very good. It can get very busy and parking can be a problem if you arrive later on. Seating downstairs is on a non reserved basis so it is common for people to have to hang around and grab a table as soo as it come available. The beer selection is good and well kept.
N. R.
What a fantastic place. All the staff make you feel welcome and go the extra mile. Geno made us feel very valued and went out of his way to help celebrate a family birthday . The food is incredible. Chicken stick but make sure you have hallomi chips . The best ever . The atmosphere is exquisite and has a quirky appeal. You can take your time , eat good food and be in total bliss. I can't wait to return . Thankyou to all the staff .
P. S.
Interesting cozy place, large selection of world beers and a few real ale. Fresh pizzas made to order in the genuine Italian pizza oven in the bar plus other food from the kitchen. Well worth a visit.
M. E.
The place, decor and ambience was second to none. The food was delicious and well presented. We were served by a young lady by the name of Claudia. She was very attentive and polite. I'd recommend this place to everyone. There is plenty of choice for everyone. The meat was out of this world 5☆ from my partner and I . Great work guys
E. R.
Went for the first time today. I was very impressed food was delicious and staff were friendly and polite. was disappointed that the nachos are no longer available but still on the menu. apart from that I would definitely recommend
We had pizza , chips, onion rings , chilli garlic bread , vegetarian friendly
J. P.
We have been to the Bulls Head many times, it remains brilliant as always Great staff Great food Great ambiance and menus very reasonable. It was our Golden Wedding anniversary and they did us proud Our waiter Gineo was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We will be back
r.
Food delicious,Place really cozy
A. M.
Always good, but sadly lacking on g/f options. Service was pretty good and food was also higher than average.
G. W.
Popped in for a keg of Asahi, two pizzas, gelato and some brownies. It was one in and one out for safety. When you arrive there’s a cleaning station for your hands, the staff then serve you, stack up your order and you’re away. The keg takes a few minutes to fill and we got two pint glasses thrown in, very nice.
The keg was £5 and £25 to fill, you can come back and have it refilled.
The pizzas were amazing and very very filling. The brownies and gelato were very tasty, had to have them in stages they were so nice.
Payment was via card and each time it is used the PDQ machine is cleaned.
You enter via the back and exit via the front door.
The pizzas are baked at home and they nearly didn’t fit in my oven, take 8 mins to cook.
The keg has a 8 pint capacity.
I shall return when I fancy a treat 🙂
W. A.
Absolutely one of the best pub chains in Staffordshire (chilled pubs) and the bulls head is one of the best of the groups multiple pubs alongside the white Swan in my opinion. Amazing atmosphere, amazing food, great prices and an all round great place to be. Family are made more than welcome and is very inviting. Will continue to visit this and other chilled pubs into the future. Well done team!
R. B.
Great place to eat. Excellant food and really nice venue. Very welcoming.
V. S.
Food was delicious. Definitely recommend the Pizza's! The service was a little chaotic although it was a Saturday night.
G. T.
Visited here for the second time last month having been there last year. On both occasions the food and staff have been excellen. The pizzas are a meal (maybe a meal and a half) themselves and the yakitori sticks are edging towards two meals. Made the mistake of getting sides as well and, much though they are excellent, they fill you up even more.
Though it is out of the way it should be on everyone's bucket list.
S. L.
Service was incredible, food was delicious this time. Only reason I can't give a five was because the time I came before was a shambles, they lost our order and after waiting two hours and a half it came out burnt, rushed and missing parts of the order and said they couldn't do anything as the kitchen had now closed. However they did make up for it this time we went.
T. P.
3pm on a Monday and a table was not a problem. Great food, the fies were burning to make a relaxed atmosphere. The only frustrating thing is their Chilled Pubs app that doesn't connect online when in the pub. What's the point?
M. H.
Great coming back again after such a long break. Lovely lunch break there. Sadly they didn't have a roast dinner but everything else was as good as always.
A. W.
Booked a table for 4 the day before we dined. Was a 20th birthday meal for my daughter. Starters, mains and sweets were all good. Got very busy later both with diners and drinkers. Car park is large, but not big enough when it is busy. There is plenty of parking on the roadside nearby.
S. B.
We went to The Bulls Head for my daughters 18th birthday celebrations .All I can say is that they were brilliant ,there was 11 people and a little one, staff -Zoe was amazing, food was great and I thought the bill was reasonable. They ensured my daughter enjoyed her birthday with her family I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant and I shall certainly be coming back
A. D.
Lovely building and great atmosphere. Good beer selection. Well trained staff on hand to make your visit pleasant.
Online booking rather unreliable.
Food rather too oily and over fried for my taste.
Shame really.
B. C.
Fantastic and interesting selection of pizzas amongst other curious items. Great atmosphere and would definitely recommend the garden room!!
L. W.
It says it all when you go for lunch & end up staying for dinner, too!!! Had a wonderful day today - great, querky interior creating a warm & comfortable environment. Toilets exceptionally clean. All staff were friendly & polite - and we met enough of them over the 8.5hours we were there!!!
I had a Cajun chicken burger & my friend had a sweet potato tagine - both were amazingly tasty and generous portion sizes making it worth the money. I had a gelato sundae for desert & although it was very nice, I think £8.50 was a lot for it & the reason for 4* not 5; there is also a very limited desert menu of mainly sundaes. My friend had a strawberry yakati stick, which was basically 3 chocolate covered strawberries for £2.50 - a bit steep, with 1 scoop of gelato on the side for an extra £1.50...
We shared a pizza several hours later for dinner which was very yummy! We were sat by the open pizza kitchen & could see it being made, which added a nice touch. And although we were sat close to the kitchen, it wasn't crowded or noisy around us. There was a slight mix up with the order so there was a bit of a wait but the staff were extremely apologetic & sorted the problem immediately, & also gave a generous discount on the bill.
Will definitely return but maybe not for pudding...
G. J.
Birthday meal superb food, service spot on best place for miles.
D. W.
Fantastic meal, excellent service. Covid friendly
D. R.
Great food and reasonably priced. Will definitely go again.
S. M.
Love the food from here, haven't even ventured outside of the pizza. There are two separate kitchens where different food is prepared but the pizza kitchen is the best of the two. Service has always been great and the food has never disappointed, all for a good price too.
K. S.
Beautiful, historic pub in Repton. Pizza is a real speciality and the serving size is huge. One pizza is enough for two people. The burgers are also very good, and is most of the rest of the menu. Staff are very friendly. Can be very busy at time. Can reserve tables for large groups.
J. B.
Amazing place to enjoy great food ... massive selection of drinks ... excellent staff ... unique surroundings ... I rest my case 👌
Y.
The best fish & chips in the world, with succulent, flaking cod as thick as your forearm! Crisp beer batter, thrice-cooked chips, mushy peas and home-made tartare sauce. It can be a real struggle to finish off as it is one huge meal, but it is so good it's actually worth the discomfort. In general the food is fantastic. Big portions and cooked to perfection. Staff are very friendly and helpful. A huge collection of bottled beers from all over the world. The garden room is utterly enchanting; it's akin to some fairy tale grotto from a children's book. And the extensive menu is reasonably priced too.
The Bull's Head in Repton is my favourite place to eat, full stop. Cannot get enough of the place.
D. L.
Pizza of great taste.

Excellent night all round, food and drink both Excellent.Ellie our Waitress was exceptional.Front of house Excellent too.
E. B.
Came here for our 40th wedding anniversary and hubby's 60th birthday, they were very busy but the service was great and we weren't kept waiting long, we even got free celebratory ice cream! Food was lovely and so was the atmosphere, would definitely recommend!
O. T.
Amazing pizzas and best beer from Belgium
D. T.
Such cracking pizzas as well as a range of options, and very comfortable distancing under present covid circumstances. Attentive staff. And you'll likely find the portions are such that you'll take away a doggy bag for lunch the next day :) Another great evening at Repton. Thanks so much to all the team.
E. S.
Finally somewhere that takes allergies seriously! My 4 year is severely allergic to sesame and nuts and our server lucy understood the severity of this and communicated amazingly between ourselves and the kitchen and took real care with our order. Due to this level of care, kindness and professionalism the bulls head is becoming a firm favourite of ours. The food is also great. Would really recommend
R. &. L. S.
The staff go out of their way to ensure that you have a fabulous experience. It was my birthday so balloons were on the table and I had a complimentary dessert. The food is amazing!! When you go to The Bulls Head, you know you won't be disappointed!!
S. L.
Lovely place! Really like the decor and the staff are nice, as are the food and drinks.
S. H.
As always a gorgeous meal, superb friendly service and lovely surroundings. Oh it's so good to be back xx
T. C.
Great interior and garden..fab food
D. B.
Best pizza I've had, great service and staff, cosy and unique surroundings... must visit
C. O.
Beautiful place brilliant service and fantastic food what more could you possibly want. Thankyou to all at The Bulls Head. Definitely recommend.
E. F.
Honestly one of the best restaurants I have ever been to. Always best to book in advance as you get the chance to sit in the indoor garden rather than in the pub itself, which is definitely worth doing! The staff are always friendly and attentive and the food never disappoints, it's always my go to place now for a lovely evening meal
D. G.
Really love this place - but book ahead! I think (but not certain) that the menu in bar is same as in the restaurant. You'd book a table at the restaurant, but you may (or may not) be lucky finding a table in the bar - it can be crazy busy in the bar. There's a nice outdoor area too, but again: if it's a nice day you may even struggle to find a place out back. There's a decent-sized carpark, but sometimes it gets busy enough to be full...
The food really is nice. I like the pizzas and the grill menu - nothing bad on either, though I would say that the steak-based big yakatori sticks can sometimes be a bit dry.
Asahi on tap, which is nice if you like Asahi (as I do 😁)
A really nice place to visit - and the restaurant made a nice posh-but-not-too-pretentious place to take my parents for a relaxed evening meal.
D. W.
Amazing food. Fabulous staff. Would recommend and will definitely return 😊
S. M.
Food and surroundings really nice will be back again
K. S.
Brilliant service, food was tasty. Everything was well sanitised and clean, not over crowned. Big thanks to Emily for making our daughters birthday extra special 💗
J. W.
Fantastic pizza in a great setting
L. W.
Excellent and extensive menu. Very large beer and cider offering. Wood fired pizza oven serving even when the main kitchen is closed. Friendly and helpful staff. Dogs allowed in bar area where food can be served. Log fire. Comfy and cosy. Perfect.
J. T.
Great selection of beverage, just make sure you wander around the bar to check out all the pumps. Food is really good, with the variety of pizzas on offer being a particular delight. Strongly recommended.
P. D.
Once in a while we do a 1h drive trip with my Mrs as this place has one of the finest food we had in UK. It's been discovered by us by accident and we will always come back there. Bit disappointed that the venison & cranberry pie isn't on the menu anymore but pizza still wins 5 stars.
s. v.
Great food and atmosphere 🙂
J. T.
Really good pizza, all the staff were wonderful , special mention to Josh who definitely needs a promotion he's a credit to thier team and full of laughs . Top selection of beers and ciders , strawberry and lime was a real good one . And pizza were all tasty arrived very close together considering there was 12 of us and they can only put 4 in the oven at once and it was very busy. Great local place a real hidden gem .
C. B.
The Bulls Head is the best restaurant/pub around the area. The food is always perfect. The pizzas are brilliant. The decor is cool, modern and oldy worldy all in one! They have an excellent selection of bottled beers, cask specials and cocktails. I always enjoy going. 😁
N. S.
Fabulous food in a cosy unhurried atmosphere. Excellent service from attentive staff
S. H.
Went for meal with family, excellent food but excellent customer care also. Hard to find these two qualities together. The staff really genuinely cared about our dining experience and were exceptionally helpfull and attentive. Had a great time and gathered great memories. Well done Bulls Head Repton
N. J.
Good food & service nice atmosphere & really enjoyed the evening thanks
K. B.
Fantastic food served by brilliant waiter's/waitresses good atmosphere nothing was too much trouble cant wait to go back

This place is great. I've been going for the past 16 years which was before it was done up and now it has I love it even more. The food quality is high and at a reasonable price, staff are helpful and polite, and the atmosphere is relaxed. 5 star pub
A. W.
Some of the best food I've had
K. N.
Lovely atmosphere with great good and great service. Food arrived in good time, was hot and well portioned. All delicious!
c. b.
The place is amazing and the staff were really lovely, just a little disappointed on the menu for me as a coeliac
Z. K.
One of my favourite pubs, always try to bring friends here when they visit. The whole menu is pretty good, with a massive selection of nice drinks (ale, cocktails, mocktails, & soft drinks), but the best reason to come here is the pizza. Behemoth things layered in delicious high quality toppings, with lots of interesting combinations. I'd recommend getting half-and-half to try two options. And if you are on a budget you can easily fill yourself on just a pizza and drink for under £15, no need for starters. The sharing cocktails are nice too, and usually in fun themed containers. But it's always busy and the carpark is quite tight, so make sure to book far in advance and get there a bit early to find a parking space.
V. M.
Great place, two separate areas 'bar' and 'restaurant'. Also some upstairs seating so it's a lot bigger than it first looks.
Cosy, 'modernised old' feel to the initial area.....like a restored leather sofa :)
Tropical garden type vibe in the restaurant area. Food is top quality and always a good portion
S. G.
Great pub serving really nice pizzas. The food is worthy of 5 stars however the service is quite slow I never seem to have enough stuff on considering how busy this pub is. Car park is very small too.
A. A.
Place looked great and the food was good. Service was not so good. This may be due to our group being on 2 separate tables but we didn't get anyone come over to take our drinks order till the other table had their drinks ordered, brought over, and food ordered (30mins after being seated). Service for the rest of the night was good
M. A.
Poor performance today as chefs missing ingredients off 2 pizzas. No table checks all visit and so had to go upto waiters due to food issues. Also alot less meat that normally present on each pizza?not sure what's happening there?? Manager very understanding and helpful to fix problems and change bill to reflex bad experience today.
C. C.
Great food, great service. Enjoying a family birthday meal. What more can I say. Thank you.
S. D.
We love this place wonderful pizzas and range of meat dishes including yakatori sticks. They have their own dedicated wood fired pizza oven.
I. C.
Food was amazing and great service in the garden room. However after our meal we went downstairs to the bar and it wasn't overly busy. I went straight to the bar counter and waited to be served 25 minutes later I finally got my drinks. Was slightly disappointing given how good the rest of the night was.
