Friendly warm welcome. Lovely decor, nice backdrops. Food good quality, maybe a bit overpriced and was surprised at service charge for a party of two but we did receive free dessert. If you love holidaying in Greece as I do, nice to have a winter warmer, Greek beer too.

Excellent restaurant, ordered the meze which was essentially everything on there menu (21 dishes in total), reasonably priced both the food and the drink and the host threw in a free shot of ouzo and desert in typical Greek fashion. Definitely recommend.

I liked the decor and the atmosphere was fun (didn't feel too posh or stuffy, really pleasant). Our waiters were friendly and the service was fast and efficient, but above all, the food was absolutely delicious!! If you like Greek style food then you are probably going to be very happy here. Went early Saturday evening and it was busy. We didn't book and only just managed to get squeezed in. Greek isn't top of my list but can't really fault what we got in the mezze for 4, although as usual with these things you're paying quite a bit fo bread and dips. Staff all friendly and helpful and place is bright and clean.

We tried the Mezze and it was lovely, gorgeous food that all came fresh and piping hot. All very authentic and the decor is lovely, you can almost imagine you're in Greece if you don't look out the window ;) The staff were very attentive, making sure everything was OK, did we need more pitta etc. Lovely place and great value for money, would return and recommend to others.

Woah…there are very few times a restaurant blows me away, but Zorba’s was one of those times. Firstly. amazing atmosphere; the staff are lovely, and it has a family feel to it. They even gave us a plate of free dessert, which brings me onto the food…10/10 (I was sceptical over the prices at first but it is 100% worth it). I ordered the Soutzoykakia for mains; the meat was tender and full of flavor, and the rice was cooked to perfection. As for the Baklava…I’m from the Middle East so I know the good stuff, and boy this has to be some of the best baklava I’ve ever had. Will definitely be coming back here in the near feature.

My family went for a meal here on New Year’s Eve. We were made to feel really welcome and the food was super tasty! I also took my four year old but this didn’t seem to be a problem at all. Definitely recommend this place for a relaxed casual meal. The manager even came over at the end and gave us some Baklava which was a lovely touch!

A lovely touch of Greece in Derby. The welcome from the staff and the decor transports you from the streets of Derby into a lovely Greek experience. As a Greek I can proudly say that this restaurant is doing a great job of representing the Greek cuisine and culture. When living abroad you would never imagine it but one of the things you miss the most is the food and we feel so lucky to have this in town. The food is great, the atmosphere is amazing and the management is actually Greek so you get an awesome Greek experience!

Enjoyable food and pleasant staff service. Nothing too lengthy for a wait and the baklava was delicious. I will say however, to add on a service charge displeases me. My husband and I are so quick to tip when food and service is great, but don't assume you can add a service charge. More so on a two person booking. Of course I am aware we can remove this upon a request however we shouldn't have too. The prices you charge should more than cover your margins and costs you encounter as a business. We have fantastic business support in this country and especially over Covid. Granted you are a new business in Derby but think about this... Whilst you're lining your own pockets you're taking from ours who have already supported you by dining with you. If we want to tip we will. But off our own accord.

Visited this new Greek restaurant tonight. It was rather busy but the staff were all around to cater to our needs! Beautiful mastic drink, starters, mezedes, main dishes and fresh delicious baklava at the end. Had stifado (beef with onions) but it was not heavy at all! My friend got vegetarian Mousaka - massive portions!! 😮A bit on the pricey side but quality food and stylish surroundings deserve that price! At last there is a beautiful space in downtown Derby to remind us of Greece! I want to thank Vaggelis (the director) for the extra treats. I hope to visit it soon with some different company this time 🤩

We had an excellent time at Zorba the Greek, having tried it a week or so after it opened. We were really excited to have a proper Greek restaurant opening in Derby and it didn't disappoint. The food is delicious; we tried the mezze which was very generous and authentic. We were so full afterwards and particular highlights were the calamari, grilled meats and the fried feta. The staff are friendly and attentive and I would certainly recommend this restaurant. I understand from the owner that the chefs are Greek. I am looking forward to returning to this place to try the souvlaki & main courses.

After looking forward to visit Zorba all week, we were left pretty underwhelmed. We had the meze for 2 and couldn't wait to try the food... And wait is the appropriate word... We waited a long time! The dishes came out in a bizarre order with a 10/15min wait between each dish. The waiter brought a few of the same dishes twice! We didn't receive everything listed on the menu and when we asked the waiter he said we had! The food we did try was okay not amazing. I feel the food here was overpriced, service was slow and unorganised but I do understand they are still pretty new, staff were polite but just seemed all over the place. The lady in charge did apologie and removed one of the meze charges. Toilets were gross, pee all over the floor no paper towels and the ladies lock was broken. I'm not sure we would go back here, which is really disappointing after waiting so long for a Greek restaurant in Derby!

A real Greek restaurant in Derby. Nice dinning area, very friendly, polite and professional staff, original recipies. I'd recommend the pork skewer (souvlaki), the slowly-cooked lamb named 'kleftiko', the aubergine as a starter and definitely a lot of one traditional Greek alcoholic drink, tsipouro!

Tastefully Hellenic blue and white decor certainly makes you feel that you're in a Greek restaurant, however it could be enhanced with some wall hangings or other features to make it feel less clinical. We sampled a selection of vegetarian starters, of which the hummus and pitta was actually my favourite, followed by the courgette fritters. The spanakopita was disappointing however, as it was mostly pastry with very little feta filling. One non vegetarian item sampled was the kalamari, which was tender enough, but quite devoid of flavour and had to be drowned in lemon juice to make it more palatable. The service, on the other hand was impeccable.... I'd go back to try the vegetarian moussaka and enjoy another Greek beer. Hoping they add gemista to the menu.
