Top notch! Having tried many a Tikka Masala in my time (much to the dismay of my waistline) I can confirm Elachi is far superior to every other Indian restaurant I have visited - and the customer numbers and general buzz of the place is a testament to this. Great food, lovely surroundings and oh so importantly, super friendly and attentive staff. Going to book for my husband's birthday there in a fortnight.... so pleased to have found a new venue to add to my eating out list (sorry clothes)!

Superb food, just superb. Tonight we've eaten the Elachi special chicken Tikka, a Gosht, something mild for the kids and a very generous pickle tray with poppadoms to start with. Although I loved my Gosht, it was hot and splendidly spiced I did have food envy from my wife's Elachi special which both my eldest and myself helped ourselves to a bit of. Service was great too.

The best indian in Doncaster hands down. My family and I had gone to the Yorkshire Wildlife park after which we ended up at this lovely restaurant. The staff were very friendly and accomodating and all I can say is the chefs hands work magic! 100% recommend anyone who is in or visiting Doncaster to hit this place up. We have been visiting Elachi on a regular basis for years as a family and we have taken many friends there as well for their first time experience. I can honestly say that all of the friends we have been with say that it is the best Indian food that they have ever had. It is a very clean restaurant that serves fantastic food and has a great atmosphere. The staff are brilliant, always polite and go out of their way to make you feel welcome, including the owners, who are great guys and are 'hands on' getting involved with their customers and take time to chat with you at your table. I could go on and on about how wonderful this place is but please try it for yourself because you will not be disappointed and you will be going back for more!!

Elachi Indian & Bangladeshi restaurant is a nice place for a relaxed evening out. We came with our friends, ordered various dishes from the menu including mix grill, chicken tikka masala, mix starters etc. The staff were pleasent have good well comming banter with customers. However on food quality, taste and texture let them down. All the meats were hard like leather and almost tasteless. They do need to pay attention to quality of taste and cooking wholesome food.

Food is absolutely beautiful but the service could be alot better. Most of the time the waiters are under pressure so everything is rushed. Little things like when putting drinks down just put them anywhere and same with the meals rather then to the right people at the table. we are out for a meal not a takeaway. You ask for drinks or the bill and they forget so you have to ask another person . Lacks professionalism and needs to be better organised

This is a great Indian restaurant with great service. One reviewer rubbished this place and said all the good reviews were made by friends. Utter nonsense! Neither me or my friends and family have anything to do with the staff but we do all enjoy the food and atmosphere. The food is top notch Indian fare (excluding celebrity Indian chefs but there is a big price difference) and there is a good atmosphere as excess sound is muted, not echoed around by acres of hard surfaces. Elachi may be out of Doncaster centre but its location in Armthorpe is good as there is plenty of parking available right outside the front door. It is my favourite place for Indian and we always go there to eat.

Went here with a party of 15 for a friends birthday, the service we received was great and I can honestly say best Indian I've been to in Doncaster. The only bad point is that it was very busy so if you wanted to move anywhere from your table I'e to the bar or the WC you was having to squeeze by people. Saying that it was a Saturday which I imagine is their busiest night.

This is a great place to visit just next to KSM Dry Cleaners. You can even drop your clothes off for cleaning while you are having your meal. It's a great place to eat.

I can honestly say that I've never ever been seriously dissapointed with Indian or Bangladeshi food, until I've visited Elachi in Doncaster. And I am a frequent customer to many Indian restaurants in London and all over the country. The food (I ordered a vegetable biryani) was the blandest food I've ever eaten, and when I pointed out the lack of flavour, the waiter simply stated that they've never had any complaints!!! He promised to bring me a different sauce (madras) but then he came back with exactly the same sauce just slightly spicier! It tasted like a seriously washed-out version of processed gravy, with added chilli. The biryani rice was no better. There were hardly any vegetables in my vegetable biryani. And absolutely no Indian flavours to be tasted or smelled anywhere! What a huge disappointment! I can only assume that: a) All the previous reviews were made by friends and family of the owner OR b) The local people have no idea what proper flavoursome Indian food tastes like! Excuse me for sounding a bit arrogant, but it WAS THAT BAD. In any case, if you consider yourself to be an Indian food connoisseur (or maybe just a big fan like myself), give this restaurant a wide berth.

Swift, polite and efficient, waiter circulating discreetly to ensure your drink was filled, rapid service of the food itself, smartly dressed staff Food better than any Bangla Deshi or Indian so far- and I've got friends that run Bangla Restaurants in Beverley and Newport. Chicken Nawab heat was just right, fresh vegetables and very generous portions. We will be taking friends back
