Went there yesterday for tea. First impression was that the seating wasn't very comfortable, chairs were a bit sturdy. However the staff was very nice and polite from the host that seated us to the lovely waitress. I had the house salad with added blue cheese. So let me tell you now, that salad was huuuge, honestly couldn't even touch the sea food tagliatelle that I ordered for main. Got them pack for home and ate them later on and it was still delicious. Defenetly coming back and hope next time we'll get seated by the window

Went here for our works Christmas meal, we picked our choice of main and dessert off the Christmas menu, but when we went in to pay a deposit rather disappointingly we were told the menu had now all been changed and a new one printed. We nearly cancelled and went somewhere else but thank goodness we didn't! We went for a 6.15 booking, wasn't too full and they gave us a really lovely table near the big window and it all looked beautiful inside, with Christmas music playing it had a great atmosphere. The music was up quite loud which we later found out was to drown out a big table of raucous women! The food we ordered was gorgeous, I had the panfried chicken, mash and a lovely sauce. The chocolate delice I ordered for dessert was a bit too chocolatey for me really but still tastey. We ordered off the Christmas menu and for a main and dessert it was just shy of £20. Ordering off the normal menu would cost more though. It's pricey, more than I would usually pay but it's worth it and I would definitely go back again, the staff were great, very friendly, helpful couldn't do enough for us and it really made our night.

I went for the full English breakfast and couldn't fault it. It arrived hot and perfectly cooked. The wife's Eggs Benedict was spot on but the wedge of ham on each muffin was a bit too thick for her liking. We sat at a table next to the massive window and were bathed in sunshine; I doubt there's a finer breakfast spot in all of Doncaster. The music was slightly weird experimental dance type stuff which was ok but miles too loud hence the star deduction. We found this place to be reasonably priced and would highly recommend it.

I visited Elephant and Castle for the first time tonight. I was met by Michelle who was meeting customers and seating them and she was warm, friendly and had an instant great rapport with myself and friends. The food was outstanding, I had a fillet steak which had the sides tailored to meet my needs and couldn’t fault it at all! My starter and dessert were amazing and I left feeling absolutely stuffed with great food. Everything was perfect throughout the night and a big shout out to Michelle who made our night even better! She personally recommended dishes she had tried, had ideas to adjust items to suit our taste and nothing was too much of an ask for her.

Visited the Elephant and Castle in Doncaster yesterday evening for my friends hen do. I cannot recommend the place enough. The food was absolutely delicious, they boxed up what we had left for us to take away. The service was amazing, they changed the table size last minute and yet still provided us with a free bottle of Prosecco & mocktails. Evening though the restaurant was empty - due to football most likely the service did not fail us! We didn’t feel rushed to get out in the slightest. Absolutely amazing place and I for one will be sure to be returning! Big shout out for Becka, for being the best waitress and checking in on us to make sure everything was good for us! Thank you again!

Really lovely surprise for the town centre of Doncaster, I had the Tumar burger with home made guacamole 🥑 and it was delicious unfortunately I ate it before realising I should of taken a picture. Also had dessert 🍨 and again totally yummy 😋 staff were friendly and accommodating. Will definitely make more of an effort to enjoy my town centre now this place his here.

Went out for a meal with my partner and the staff were great, after looking at the menu for awhile my partner didn't really fancy anything off the main menu however she did want something from the starter menu they were more than happy to make it into a main course for her and you best be hungry when you go! I am a big eater and I can pack it away despite my size and even I struggled to finish my meal. They were more than happy to box the remaining meal up for us to take away, I would go back again just for the wonderful and helpful staff but the food there speaks for itself

Wow what a find! Having lived many years in Dublin and been a regular, I was excited to see E&C had a branch in Doncaster. Jumped on the train and what a lovely surprise- just like being back in Templebar - chicken wings to die for and nice friendly staff! If you have been to E&C in Ireland then you will love it and if you have never tried the worlds best chicken wings then go see what you are missing. We will be back before too long. Thank you.

I visited on Christmas Eve. The food was lovely, Freshly cooked and tasty. The service was excellent; staff were aware of autism and were able to accommodate our needs really well. They even tried to sign to my brother after seeing my signing to him. This made such a difference to him and made his day! He’s often ignored by people as they speak to me or the carer. It made such a positive difference to our visit. For this alone (and the tasty food) we will certainly visit again

Wow! What a surprise! Was passing and we decided to get a coffee, ended up with an amazing brunch! The food is cooked to perfection, some of the best I have had in Doncaster in a long time. Came for the first time on a Saturday lunch. The food choices look good but I was just there for a drink. There is a seated area at the bar and also tables are usually available. The food looks great and I will go back and try. Good choice of drinks, but sadly no wifi, which is probably great when in a group out to socialise and for a meal, but less so when a solo traveller just looking for a relaxing drink and catch up on socials etc.

I didn’t even know this place existed, we dropped on it by accident en route to the toilets. I was the Panasonic shop on my last trip to the Frenchgate Centre, the marketing team should invest in promoting it as the place is really stylish and upbeat. Anyway, onto the review. We were greeted by Adrian who was courteous, explained the menu, the facilities and showed us too our table. The food was spot on and tasted fresh, the menu had plenty of choice and even suited my wife who’s a veggie. The kid’s menu was full of variety, and I even ordered a half portion of chicken wings from it too. A special shout out to Becca (our waitress) who was attentive and polite throughout the meal. Great place to chill. Could do with faster check in for seating. Didn't eat but looking at the food that came out it looked delicious, but.... There's probably too much. (Note to management, that does not mean cut everything in half, people are paying). Could be a bit quicker settling bills though, restaurant staff (Who are great) running round while there's 5 staff behind the bar scratching their.... Heads... Visited bank holiday Monday early afternoon it was quite quiet. All staff were very friendly and helpful. Was impeccably clean , although I would prefer the chef had a beard guard (very big beard). Food order was delivered in reasonable time although one of the items had a curry/spicy sauce that was not identified on the menu. Both meals were good, and all food I saw going out was well presented and served. When we noted the spicy sauce staff did suggest a lot of the dishes had hidden (undisclosed) spicyness or suaces. Prices were ok for food, although the cocktails were a bit pricey for Doncaster. Would I go back? Yes, but if eating I'd query the menu a bit more before ordering. Would have been 5 star if not for the spicy sauce.

First time visiting Elephant & Castle and I was overwhelmed with the friendly and outstanding welcome from Michelle. She couldn’t do more to help us and offered the best service and her own personal advice on menu choices. We had a mix of items from the menu and all of them were fantastically presented, tasted amazing and were shared by each of us to get a taste of every meal. When we had finished our meals Michelle again took time to have a chat with us and interrupt her busy schedule to make sure there was nothing more we wanted. I took my mum for a late lunch after 3pm and we were presented with the brunch/lunch menu, not the full menu that includes steaks and pasta etc. We ordered a bottle of pinot grigio and then the waitress came back to say they were out, so we ordered another same priced French white. The wine that came wasn't cold enough so we ordered some ice to put in it. I don't normally order burgers in a “proper" restaurant but that's what we both had, choosing from the limited lunchtime choice available. My mum had the cheese burger which came with a good garnish and ordered extra streaky bacon. I ordered the chicken filet burger and the extra bacon too at one quid, which came with the same garnish. Both came with plenty of on-skin fries. My bacon was white, under-cooked and not crispy so I left it. As we had a train to catch we didn't have anything else. The place hasn't been open long, so good luck to them. The staff were friendly and inviting, will probably try again when the full menu is available later.
