Great place to dine out for a belated birthday meal. From being escorted to our table, receiving great service from drinks ordering to dessert, we were treated really well. We ordered Butchers Block, a meal designed for two to share. We went with the recommended cooking times except for the Sirloin which I changed to suit my tastes. No problem at all. The drinks were quick to arrive and so was the bread platter starter as you would expect. The Block came at just the right time served to the table professionally. Meats were cooked to our liking, chunky chips great and onion block exceptional. Great meal topped off with dessert. Can't wait to go again.

Izzy was incredible, she was so polite and helpful. I was really indecisive but she recommended me the perfect dish. All the food was delicious and cocktails were lush and you get a lot for your money drink wise. 10/10 would recommend.

We have never had a bad meal here. Always freshly cooked, good quality food and fantastic service. We booked a table for a Wednesday evening, and I'm pleased we did as it was really busy for midweek. The food, as always was amazing. I have knocked one star off for the service as we had a very long wait for a side order and the final drinks ordered, never arrived. We were not charged for either. The signature lime and soda was divine, a real palette cleanser. Definitely worth a visit, 100% book to ensure you get a table.

Great meal from the Sunday Fixed Menu Started with Prawn and Crab Cocktail which was lovely, then the Ribeye steak which was delicious and cooked to perfection, my fiancee had the Roasted Shallot Tart Tartin which she enjoyed. Had a good birthday meal here. The staff are amazing friendly and the maitre d' keeps everything in top order. Checking glasses and cutlery for any marks. The setting is great and the food tastes amazing. Cooked just how you like it( even if they did try and get me to change my mind lol). Definitely be going again.

We had a belated Mother's day meal here last Sunday and it was fantastic. I don't usually like my steak pink, I prefer well done, but I went with the Chef's recommendation and it was sublime. The chocolate Brownie dessert was to DIE for. I'm a big desert fan so I sampled everyone else's at the table and I have to say, the Tirimasu, the banoffee pie, the cinnamon torte and the ice cream and cookie combo were also beautiful. I will be back and would definitely recommend ❤️❤️❤️ Thanks for a wonderful meal ❤️❤️❤️

Great location with the fishing lakes, wildlife park and airport among nearby venues. Great menu with a good range of options, and a fabulous range of drinks. The staff are always courteous and friendly (one wished me a great rest of the day on my recent visit, a little thing but massively uplifting and appreciated), and the outside area is also very nice and well presented. Would definitely recommend as both a destination venue and decent place for people on the doorstep

Amazing meal our server Alan went above and beyond to accommodate us. We were seated quickly and efficiently and our order taken promptly. We never had an empty glass as Alan ensured drinks orders where kept on top of. You can clearly see how well the place is kept on top of. The bar staff where more than willing for us to sit in the bar area after our meal for a few drinks while we waited for our taxi. 10/10 would recommend.

One of if not the best place in Doncaster to have a high quality steak cooked to your liking. We've ordered 26oz Butchers Block (50 day aged Black Angus Ribeye 8oz, 30 day aged Rump 8oz and two cuts of 50 day aged Black Angus Fillet 5oz. Served with a half rack of barbecue ribs) with it you get a portion of chips & salad each, I would only order this if you're really hungry but it would still be a challenge. Additionally our waiter was really charismatic and professional, 5* Service.

It is the 1st time that I have been to Miler and Carter aka the steakhouse because this place is quite amazing and it is the 1st time there, great experience and I am had an amazing buttermilk chicken and i tired some new foods on my buttermilk chicken for the 1st time and i had an mango mocktail with no alcohol and even I remembered when I used to have an mocktail when I was 15 years old on the boat back in May 2019 of my memories as well and I had an nice time at Miler and Carter Steakhouse today and I loved it and I think this place is amazing because it is the 1st time I have been to Miler and Carter Steakhouse and I love it so I had an nice time today.

What was great? The whole experience. Charlotte, looked after us like we were royalty. I have visited you a few times before but I can honestly say this was the best experience of Miller & Carter I have ever had. The food was outstanding, as always. The place was spotlessly clean. The restrooms were absolutely spotlessly clean. Charlotte’s knowledge of the menu was amazing. She was so friendly and bubbly. She is an absolute credit to you and I hope you pass this feedback on to her and her line manager. We will most definitely be returning sooner rather than later. My partner and I visited for the first time and ordered steaks. Food was beautiful and service excellent. Only minor gripe was my partner likes home cooked triple cooked chips. The menu described them as triple cooked chips but in reality they were frozen imitations. Would definitely visit again though.

Food :- my partners steak was very good, mine was a little disappointing too much gristle the rest of the main course was good, desert was good for both of us. Service was a little slow albeit the waitress was good but I feel she was having to service too many tables. The Food was absolutely amazing so tasty, we had a table of two Served By Charlotte who was absolutely amazing She spoke us through the menu and the process of the food as it was our first time here. We had baked Camembert for starters which was absolutely delicious. I also had Filet Steak for my main which was again absolutely Gorgeous. Charlotte was always very attentive constantly making sure we was ok always keeping us topped up with our drinks. We love Miller and Carter, and we had only been at the Hinchley branch two days prior, we were holidaying for my birthday. I had zero WiFi or data connection so hubby looked and booked the restaurant, when we got there he had booked the one in Nottingham. Luckily the amazing gentleman on the front desk said he could squeeze us in and sort out the other booking. Our server Ruby was so friendly and a complete asset to them. The food as always was amazing. The steak was cooked exactly to Our liking, mine medium rare, husband medium to well (hubby's clearly odd). I highly recommend this restaurant all the staff we encountered were so friendly, knowledgeable and clearly loved their job. Amazing food, service and restaurant.

Didn't meet our expectations. To say you market yourself as high end and excellent service you failed to deliver. The cleanliness was not great, the carpets look run down and dirty. The waiter didn't deliver good service and weirdly instead of clearing away the glasses from the table put them on the windowsill behind us. The food was ok but the standard chips were not nice at all. Disappointing first time experience for my partners sister who it was her first ever visit!

Great service as usual. But a few little things put a damper on the visit. Wobbly table was annoying. The staff provided napkins to level the base but the table/base joint was also loose, to the annoyance of my better half. Also, the 1st cut of the Chateaubriand was tough due to fat/gristle and what looked like offal + a blunt steak knife. We both had the meringue which was nice, but agreed it maybe needed a little more fruit garnish/ inside. Everything else was great.

M&C is my favourite and it will always remain favourite. Like always welcoming staff, great environment and delicious food. The reason for three stars are; 1. Fries with truffles had nothing to appreciate, normal and bit more oily. I had much better in Gusto. 2. Steak size was disappointedly small, usually I feel full and satisfied this time I was hungry. 3. Steak sauce I choose was pepper corns, somehow that was sweetish and it didn't fit to the meal. 4. Brownies was very dry inside. These improvements will maintain the acceptional standards of my favourite M&C. Especial thanks to lovely staff for their warmth and services.

The staff are really friendly and welcoming and our waitress Lauran really went above the normal in making sure we were comfortable (the background music from the nearby speaker was a bit overpowering as we like to have a conversation during our meal so Lauran turned it off completely for us. Went to Miller & Carter as a treat tonight and it definitely didn't disappoint. It felt clean and safe and very organised. The food was perfect and so tasty. I had the buttermilk chicken and my partner had the lamb, both dishes were delicious. The deserts were presented beautifully and the portion sizes were just right. Our waitress, Lucy, was really helpful, polite and chatty. As we both work for the NHS we got 10% discount, but even before the discount the price was very good for the quality of food and service. We will definitely be visiting a Miller & Carter again for another date night.

We love Miller and Carter, Bessacar, Doncaster. We went to Miller and Carter this evening, a treat for our 39th anniversary. Our server today was Ethan and he looked after us throughout our meal. The steaks were cooked to perfection, the sauces we chose were lovely and although we hadn’t ordered a sweet Ethan brought us ice-cream with fresh fruits and chocolate sauce which was complimentary from the restaurant. We had a couple of shandy’s each because we’re not really wine fans. The service (by Ethan) was outstanding from start to finish, he is definitely an asset to the team who all played their part in making our evening one to remember. I’d like to thank the whole team of staff and especially Ethan who was polite and efficient every step of the way. I’d highly recommend Miller and Carter, Bessacar, Doncaster 👍

Such a good value as the steaks on its own can be between £20-£25. Service and staff outstanding and the little things like congratulations on your plate of dessert because I got a new job. I came here for my 27th birthday and my God it was the best steak I've had in England without a doubt. The prices are surprisingly quite affordable but the quality is out of this world. With great table service and great food, you can't get a better place. I also tried a little bit of my son's mac n cheese and even that tasted amazing. My family paid for a birthday cake and brought it to the miller and cater for me but the cake was damaged and crushed in the boot of the car so the chef actually fixed it and mate it better than the original! I couldn't believe the chef did this, there is nowhere else with service this good. I couldn't recommend this place enough and that's why it remains in my top 5 restaurants.

Absolutely fantastic experience! My partner and I were looking a steak night and booked a table here. We got some olives and the sticky chipotle chicken to start with - really tasty and flavourful! Definitely got our appetite up for the mains. We decided to go for the Chateaubriand 16oz - Ultimate Sharing Experience. It was a gorgeous piece of sharing steak with parsley butter, chips, tomato, crispy onion loaf - and each person gets to choose your own steak sauce and dressing for the lettuce wedge. We also had the halloumi fries which were amazing. What a gorgeous steak, and such a delightful meal to have with the house red wine. We were quite stuffed but couldn't say no to desserts, so we got the creme brulee to share. Really tasty and worked well with the berries and biscuit. The service was lovely throughout - our waitress Kirsty was so amiable and attentive. When we got stuck for options to get home she offered and called multiple taxi companies and asked her colleagues for further recommendations. When ae left it was raining and she gave us an umbrella as well. Have never felt so cared for anywhere else - Kirsty deserves a medal! All in all, highly recommended for a special dinner. Amazing experience from start to finish, would definitely come back soon!

We're in two minds about this restaurant. We arrived and had to wait for our table. Not a problem but tried to get a drink meantime and couldn't get served before our table was ready. After sitting down and ordering drinks some 15mins later they still hadn't arrived. We had to ask for them again and when they did arrive we were advised we wouldn't be charged for them. Again, fine. The waitress took our order and it became difficult to attract her attention to order wine. We pulled over another waitress who brought our wine, then 10mins later a further bottle appeared by a different waitress. All in all we couldn't say it was the best experience but what we can say is the food itself was fantastic.

Had a disappointing meal here tonight. We had been to Miller and Carter once before and had enjoyed it so much, the food was outstanding. Unfortunately tonight, out for a birthday meal, we were let down. One of us paid £32 for a ribeye steak that was dry and cold, and the rest of us had cold chips with our burgers. Usually we wouldn’t want to say anything but because we only go out for special occasions and it’s such an expensive restaurant, we were really let down with the quality of our food and left feeling disappointed. We can’t afford to eat out often and felt this was a bit of a waste tonight. I really hope we were a one off and that the restaurant hasn’t gone down hill!

Giving 5 stars to a good restaurant is always dicey. On the one hand they really deserve the review, but on the other is that I'd like to be able to get a table in future. But here goes... Had lunch here a few weeks ago to celebrate my birthday. Our waitress took some time when we sat down to explain the menu to us and so the ordering process was painless. We were very disappointed with our experience. We waited nearly 45 minutes for the starter bearing in mind it was early, 5.45pm and it wasn’t over busy. Every table around us arrived and ordered after us and got their meals within 15/20 minutes. The starter eventually arrived and what a complete disappointment that was. £9 for the 4 smallest scallops I have ever seen. My husband then had a burger which was so dry, he wasn’t asked when ordering how he wanted it cooked. My meal was nothing special. We had explained that we were going on to a concert and then had to eat our meal as fast as possible as we had run out of time. We had allowed an hour and a half to eat. We had so been looking forward to going but we’re so disappointed, a complete waste of money and time .

Good location for a quick vist after a morning at Yorkshire Wildlife Park. We were aware of the lunchtime menu, perfect for a slightly smaller plate, but we had to ask for this menu and observing a few other tables being seated it was also not provided - just the significantly more expensive main menu. Decided to try the burger as opposed to our usual steak, quite tasty but if your going to Miller & Carter, it's all about the steaks. The maitre d' was friendly and very attentive, however the waitress was either new or not very good. Overall the food was good but the whole experience was slightly slow and not very slick.

This was a really nice place to eat but it was expensive, a glass of white zinfandel and a pint of larger cost £13. Also I asked for my steak to be cooked medium and it came medium rare. I know it is hard to cook steak to everyone's taste. If I went again I would try the steak before adding the sauce so I could ask for it to be cooked for longer. The service was very good.

Absolutely fantastic! Booked a table for our Wedding anniversary and cheekily requested booth seating. Having never been wasn’t sure if this was even available. We did book at prime time (Saturday night 20:30) so the place was busy but we got some comfy seats near the bar and were told it would be about 15 minutes before a table was available. This was with an apology and genuinely delivered to. After around 10 minutes we were escorted to a booth and wished a happy anniversary and from there on the night just got better and better. The food here is fantastic, if you’re really into properly sourced, prepared and cooked to perfection Steaks then this absolutely for you. Every element of our order was put together with truly expert advice from our waitress Gosia, whose knowledge of steak was absolutely phenomenal. So the food is exceptional and the service we received was equally as magic. Gosia was an absolutely amazing waitress, invisible when dressing the table between courses and available when needed. Her knowledge of the menu was exactly what you need when faced with such a mighty expanse of options! All in all, this has been a truly fantastic night and a perfect way to celebrate, I can’t thank the staff at Miller & Carter Bessacarr enough for making our night magical.

Attended on Friday 24th July 2020 having booked a table online a couple of week previous. The staff were very attentive and polite, COVID-19 processes were implemented and explained before being seated at our table. The Restaurant was clean and well presented as per most Miller and Carter. We were seated and our waiter introduced herself promptly before bringing our drinks. Food was ordered and came within a prompt time. The food was of a very good standard, I had T-bone steak which was cooked to my liking and how was ordered with the cut being of a good quality. There was zero complaints from our table and will be more than happy to return. Just bear in mind that this restaurant is not the cheapest by any means however the service and food justifies the cost in my opinion. Thank you.

This restaurant is part of a chain of Steak Restaurants, they do serve other food but Steak is their main claim to fame. Four of us at their in the afternoon and the most memorable parts of our experience were, 1. the waitress was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the menu, in addition she and the other staff seemed genuinely interested in making our meal and experience better. 2. The Price it was around £50 per head, we didn't have wine. 3. The food which was better than average. I had the aged steak and it was cooked to my specification and tasted great, in fact all of us had steaks and there were no complaints from anyone on our table. The starters were nice, I had scallops which were very good and well presented. All in all a good meal out just not one I can afford regularly

Fantastic service and food. Marketed as a quite upscale steak chain, you can't fault them for service and the quality of the food. One of the waitresses accidentally spilt meat fat onto my shirt and the manager came over and apologised, offered to compensate for the dry cleaning and even replace it if that didn't work. Can't recommend enough, we've been here a number of times and will continue to do so.

Feel I have to write something. This used to be a good pub that did good pub food really well. Now it feels like a very classy place with really excellent food with pretty high end service considering how affordable it is. You feel like you're eating at a place that is going to also serve you with a much larger bill at the end than it does. This applies in general but made even more relevant if you take advantage of the lunch menus which offer a good range at even better prices. Very impressed, really hope this balance is sustainable as want to keep coming back.

The staff were friendly and inviting. Our server Karen had very helpful suggestions and the beef dripping sauce was definitely a good choice. We both had scallops to start which were well cooked. The steaks however are the talking point, I've had many steaks from many restaurants over the years and can say this was the BEST T-bone steak I've ever had. The fillet fell apart as it should and the fat of the sirloin just melted away. I can highly recommend although it is expensive is worth every penny! Can say that the Mrs and I are already planning the next visit...

This was our first visit to the restaurant Saturday night as group of 6 We booked 2 weeks in advance due to it being so popular and had a late sitting but arrived early for a few drinks. Special mention to Chris at the bar who's knowledge and recommendations on Gin was second to none. We asked if we could have our table early and the staff obliged and managed to get our table before our booked time. We skipped starters and went straight to mains 3 ordered Steaks 2 shared the chateaubriand and 1 had sea bass along with a selection of sides including the half a lobster which at £7.50 was great value. The portions were more than ample and we were too full for deserts. The food was excellent, the steaks cooked as requested and the quality was obvious. All the staff we spoke with were lovely however Hannah who was our waitress is a true credit to the restaurant she was friendly, professional and knew her stuff. She was attentive making sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive and obviously genuine enjoys engaging with the customers. We will definitely be returning in the future and would highly recommend visiting the restaurant.

This would be a 5 star review apart from 2 things. 1:- the nibbles garlic bread with melted cheese, seemed to be no melted cheese anywhere near, also 4 tiny pieces only. Not value for the money. 2:- the chips (frozen) look as though they are A KFC reject. Not nice at all. For the price, fresh cut homemade should be standard. Plus side, the staff are obviously well trained, and are an asset to the establishment. Great atmosphere, not pushed to move straight after eating. Dined here on15/08

Nice enough place. Two of us went and we both had T-bone steak which was quite nice, but they got the way they were cooked the wrong way round. Since we had different accompaniments this mattered, we couldn't just swap plates. We each had a different desert which we both liked, and two drinks each. This all came to £90 which feels a bit expensive for what we had, but I guess at £25 the T-bones were probably priced in line with most places. Overall not bad. Would go again but only for the cheaper lunch time menu.
