Had a good night food was good and the service was was second to none. Price of the meal was fare and didn't have to wait ages between courses. We left the restaurant's friendly atmosphere with full a belly and a smile on our face. Thanks guys see you again soon.

Excellent food. We ordered different dishes and loved that they clearly weren't made from the same base with minor changes (as can happen with other takeaways). Tasty, flavourful and good portions. Best Indian I've eaten outside India!

Love ordering from this restaurant. I’ve had Nababee Nagh on a few occasions, but tonight I had noticed the smell and taste was different. I instantly recognised the carolina reaper in the mix. I understand that can be used to make it spicey, but it changed the taste of the dish.

First takeaway last night from here, firstly I spoken to a friendly helpful person on the telephone. He explained about the app I could use. Food came on time and was so happy to find an actual Indian takeaway that tastes how it should be. Thankyou, really happy would recommend to anyone!

Came here for a Birthday meal for my sister. The management set up the best table for us and was very welcoming and polite towards the whole family. The waiters were very polite and was patient while our large party ordered. The food arrived at the same time by the vast majority of staff. None of our party were left out and we all ate together. The food itself was impeccable and out of our knowledge Shimla went out there way to even prepare a birthday dessert. We will definitely be booking again in due course.

Food fantastic but service slow. Booked a table for six, arrived on time and table was not ready, we were all starving. After 10-15 mins table was ready. Menus were slow being offered, they could have offered them whilst we had to wait for table. Order taken and starters arrived with a mix up. The food was excellent, well prepared and tasty. Mains came and 3 of us were without our Pilu rice, no staff to be seen, eventually the phone rang and I called out to the staff member and eventually our rice arrived, by this time our dinning companions were halfway through their meal. It is a real shame the service was so painfully slow and not up too a decent standard as the food was excellent.

Upon arriving at Shimla , the warm and bubbly energy you are met with from the front of house staff is excellent. The professional conduct of language is at a high standard and you are found to your table as soon as possible with appetisers brought out immediately. The food and presentation is amazing! Both meals for myself and partner were brought out at the same time , the food was not cold and there was a great variety of dishes to choose from. I would 100% recommend a visit to Shimla

High expectations but felt a tad disappointed. Got there at 6, not many in so would have expected a fairly speedy service, took 20 minutes to get poppadoms and pickles and mixed starter arrived around half past. Poppadoms and pickles were good though be hard to get that wrong really. The mixed starter consisted of 2 lamb and chicken pieces, 2 seekh kebabs and an onion bhaji. Bhaji was nice, chicken was nice, lamb a bit tough and the seekh kebab was more like a sausage, not very impressed, seemed wrong lol. Shared a king prawn saag, was ok but prawns overcooked and a bit chewy. They forgot my naan and I only just received it in time to finish the curry. Bring your own booze which I like!Not sure I'll be rushing back but will give it another go sometime.

Early evening - Sunday at 17.30 - very busy, but staff all found time for a friendly word and to explain the dishes. The food was excellent from Pakora & Chat starters, Chicken Silsila,rice, Naan bread and an aloo Gobi - really enjoyed the food, a large group of about 20 kept the atmosphere going, but not overpowering. Well worth a visit.

First time dining here due to recommendations. From walking through the door to our dining experience and departure, the service was excellent. The decor is lovely and clean as well as the facilities. The food was second to non, presented nicely and tasted gorgeous! Will definitely be using this lovely place again! Booking is recommended as it was packed to the rafters, saying that we only waited 5 mins to be seated, thank goodness we booked. Well done Shimla!!

Our first visit, we had a lovely starter & we were served very quickly. Unfortunately I started to feel ill due to an ongoing condition, the staff were very attentive asking if they could do anything, my partner asked for a cold wet towel as I was very hot. Had a takeaway from here tonight first time, hubby had chicken balti which he said was superb I had chicken korma which was gorgeous but a bit runny for my tastes. Delivery was before the time they quoted. All in all very happy and will definitely be ordering again

Had a lovely time here last week the food was great and the side dishes also. Bonus that you can bring your own alcohol. I do think the portion size can be increased as other Indian restaurant i've been to you do get more quantity, but all in all i would return for another meal

Nice place and good food at reasonable prices. The only downside is that they don't serve alcohol but if you take your own they are very efficient at putting your cans in the fridge and bringing it as soon as you ask for it. Staff are very friendly and I would definitely recommend this place.

I took my 8 year old son for his birthday. The food was nice and enough food for us but the service was disappointing. We had to wait 20 minutes for our drinks which I had to remind them of, only just had our starters after 45 minutes but had them at different times. There was only us 2 at this point. I doubt we will go back again.

Once again we had the 5 course buffet for £12.95. Superb flavours, pleasant service. The lamb chops starter was huge, the tikka starter was amazing. She had Sag, I had Bengal chicken, with spinach potatoes to share, garlic nan and pikau rice. Highly recommend this place even on a normal night.

Great take away We had our last weekend take-away from Shimla till they re-open again, everything was as good as restaurant standards, my partner ordered Chi Tikka Makanwala and I had the Chicken Passanda along with some fried rice and naan. Delivery took a bit longer but was worthwhile, driver was very nice & polite. Can’t wait for you guys to open again. Stay safe guys.

Shimla did the catering for my annual Christmas party this year, it was the best decision I've ever made the food was outstanding all my guests said it was fab, i was panicking there wouldn't be enough food for 45 people but they did me proud there was plenty even enough for seconds, so same time next year please.
