What an amazing experience. Came here on my birthday and the staff were amazing. Our waitress Libby went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The food was another level. Best burger I've had and I've eaten quite a few. 5 out of 5 from me and the family. Keep it up guys 👍

Family of 5 for our sons 16th family meal. The staff at The Big Smoke are great. Abbey sorted our drink orders for us and Kelsey was our Server, both were talkative and so attentive, really helpful and friendly. Definitely will be coming here again. The food was delicious, had to ask to get some boxed up because we were that stuffed. Outstanding 👌

We came here for my 27th birthday. First time in close to a year myself and my partner had been on a date. We arrived early for our booking and we were seen to a table early which was great as we didn’t mind waiting. The food was delicious, the service was good and the staff were extremely busy. The only downside was the wait between ordering and getting the food. We were there for almost 3 hours and waited an hour from our starter to main. Although we’ve put this down to them being extremely busy on a Saturday evening. Our food and drinks came to just over £80. We rounded it up to £90 to leave a tip for the waitresses. :)

Visited today for the first time, food was absolutely delicious. They just started a Wings Wednesday today so we were one of the first to try it. Unlimited wings for 90 minutes with chips and mac & cheese. We were seated and served quickly and made to feel welcome. Other people's meals looked amazing and huge portion sizes so we'll definitely be back to sample the rest of the menu at some point.

I’m a previous visitor of the Rotherham branch of Big Smoke so I always eager to try Doncaster out as soon as it opened. Visited today on opening day for lunch and nice to see some of the same faces from Rotherham working there. Very good service and food was amazing as always. A true credit to the chef Chris and the kitchen. Recommend always upgrading the fries to the loaded fries. This will be a very busy restaurant bang in the centre of the city of Doncaster.

We booked for 5:15pm food arrived in 30min. Are waitress lydia was lovely and welcoming. The food was delicious. The gent that showed us to our table was very nice and helpful. The food was all cooked to how we asked. I would definitely recommend.

First time at big smoke and they deserve the five stars. The place was very clean, looked good. Service was great from the start. Staff knowledgeable about the food, willing to have the meal served how you wanted it and nothing was too much trouble. And to the food itself. I had brekky burger as i fancied some black pudding, and had the big smoke loaded frys. It took a little while to come but thats when you know its cooked fresh! And it all was hot and delicious! Best patty ive had in a burger in a long time. Can recommend wholeheartedly!

Was celebrating mine and my brothers meal...service was amazing...drinks bought to us really quickly ...menus too...ordered all pur meals together starters and mains ...there was 7 adults eating food was good for 5 of us most had steaks and were cooked right 1 person didn't eat any of his ..steak was supposed to be rare was med to well done no seasoning the chicken breast was like cardboard and so were the ribs dint know what the chef had done but looked horrible the only thing that looked OK was the chicken wings lol but should of been 28.00 should be able to eat it all and nit be as dry as a bone..Mt meal the ribs were dry and the chicken breast was so dry too..steak was overcooked for me too asked for med and got med to well done no juices from the steak at all but the starters and the puddings were very nice I did tell the waitress about how bad the one meal was and we did get it free in the end but like I say didn't eat it any way....i will l go again to see if they can improve on there cooking skills as I cook myself and have my own burger place so I know how things should be cooked and when they should be juicy and not dry as a bone ...

Absolutely amazing food! Took my partner for his birthday tea and he loved it. We had the sharing starter which had a selection of starters on and every mouthful was gorgeous, we should have stopped there. We also ordered a burger each, The Brisket burger and the Chorizo burger and they were lovely, however we just couldn't finish them. Absolutely beautiful food, I’m so glad you opened one in Doncaster! The service was fast and the drinks wore also at a great price!! ‘Brooke’ who waited on us was so knowledgeable and attentive, she told us about the 2 for £20 offer that we didn’t know was on and also what was in the offer, she was very polite and honestly super nice! Not like a robot reading of a script which you usually get in restaurants ( we find anyway). She made our experience that extra special and for that we will be returning next week! X

Went last night for a family meal and really enjoyed it. Atmosphere was good but not boisterous. Food was nice and good portions.... a tiny bit underwhelming but decent nonetheless. They made an error with our order but rectified it super quick and were really apologetic. I must say the waitress was brilliant. She advised us on portion sizes, taste, suitability for children etc and was on the money once we had tasted the food. Worth a visit

Saturday lunch time. We hadn't booked, but no problem getting a table. We had sirloin and ribeye, both cooked as we asked and very tasty. The big chunky chips were good. We really enjoyed the burnt ends and dirty fries with cheese sauce, signature gravy and brisket. The onion rings were really crispy and tasted like proper onion rings.

Really nice place decoration wise, we was nicely greeted and sat down, drinks came pretty fast. Unfortunately there was miss communication with staff and we was sat waiting 25 minutes to order as the one waiter was on the break and forgot about us. I won a the Facebook competition for the opening of the Doncaster restaurant for a meal for 4 people. What a fabulous evening we had, the food was superb, the staff were fabulous and the overall atmosphere and decor was very pleasant. I cannot fault the food, we all had starters, mains and desserts and each course was cooked to perfection, the quality and presentation faultless. The Staff were attentive but not imposing so that you felt uncomfortable or watched over. Even though we were the competition winners and we were treated VERY generously, the quality of food and service I saw other customers receive appeared to be replicated throughout. Can't wait to visit again and highly recommend you give it a try. On behalf of our party, thank you again for your most generous prize and the very best of luck to all at the Big Smoke - Doncaster.

Great service from minute we stepped in the door, being greeted by Aaron who was so helpful and lovely seating us, our waitress Kat couldn’t do more for us and top marks to the head chef Chris, I’ve not had gluten free food that tasted that good in such a long time after being diagnosed coeliac. Such a large selection of gluten free food that actually tastes normal! Highly highly recommend and for sure will be coming back again!!!

Came tonight for date night, the lady who greeted us was excellent. I think she may have been a manager (blond hair, black dress with green on) with an ear piece. Anyway the drinks came quick, the food was outstanding. It came out in perfect time, and it was hot. The wings were gorgeous, we even brought the ones we left home with us. The pork tomahawk was juicy and tender and the green beans were crunchy, the ribs were huge and the meat just fell off the bone. Proper home made onion rings aswell! Will definitely be visiting again just waiting for the unlimited wings to come to Doncaster now! Thankyou!

Good Food, bad service. Went for my husbands birthday meal for 4 of us. The restaurant was pretty empty when we arrived, only 2 other tables downstairs. Food was nice, large portions but there were so many errors. We had a long wait between our starter and main, about 40 minutes. When 3 mains arrived there was bacon missing from a burger which we asked for and a tiny slice was brought and slammed down. We waited for the third meal and the bar tender (who was the only good staff member) said they were re-doing the 4th meal. We had to ask why as he obviously assumed our waitress had told us that they had dropped my friends meal on the way out, she hadn't explained just went and sat down. We then had to ask for cutlery for our mains. We then waited a good 20 minutes with dirty plates whilst the waitress walked back and forth and didn't clear them. They then cleared one plate and began clearing other tables with no guests. We had brought a cake in for them to bring out, so they knew we would be waiting for this. When they brought the cake, they gave us plates but no cutlery. At this point we laughed whilst eating with our hands as it we were past the point of caring. We would have spent a lot more on drinks if offered more, we were given two free pints as my friend had to wait for her food, and the bar tender was apologetic at that point. Really wanted to like this place but doubt we will be back.

We went to the BIG SMOKE last night, there was 10 of us in the party, I don’t normally go for burgers but I decided to go for one you will NOT regret it!! The food was absolutely amazing, the Mac and cheese were to die for!! Can’t thank the waiter Aaron and the young girl (pink hair so sorry I’ve forgot your name) enough very kind professional but also personal they kept checking in on us to say it was a busy Saturday night made sure we had water drinks etc… the server too was on ball and patient making sure we all got the right meal! Yes these are standard things they should be doing but If you went to any other restaurant you’ll find you don’t even get anyone coming up and asking how the food is, talking about the best wine to have and what they recommend! I don’t get why people leave this place a bad review. I will definitely be returning. What a place to eat in Doncaster!!

We went to try the wing Wednesday, unlimited wings, chips and macncheese. Staff were all amazing, drinks good and the fries were very good. The wings themselves though were disappointing, they tasted like they’d just been baked in the oven then some sauce thrown on them. I was expected some crispy deep fried wings tossed in a class sauce. You could have the same standard of wings from the hot counter at a supermarket unfortunately. The bourbon sauce was weirdly sweet and the salt and pepper ones just tasted of Chinese 5 spice and not much more. The tikka ones had barely any taste and the blue cheese ones were sickly. Unlimited wings is a great idea but the taste needs to be better, both of the wings themselves and the sauces. We wished we would have had normal meals because the food coming out the kitchen from the standard menu looked great! No fault at all to the staff or restaurant, only the wings.

Visited here 12/09 for my sons birthday. From the first message sent the staff here have been amazing. We tried to book Big Smoke at Rotherham as it was nearer but they refused to accomodate our party of 10! Doncaster couldn't have been more welcoming. The food was absolutely great, big portions & very flavourable. We all had a variety from the menu and I would definitely recommend the pork belly & the burgers. We have eaten in several places in Doncaster all much pricier & lack the customer service this place excels in. Not one complaint from any of us.Can't wait to return.Thanks so much Guys *****
