Reviews of Wool Market
R. S.
I love this place. It's a nice place to go with the family.Children can play and the adults can enjoy a cup of drink. Waffles from After Desserts are fantastic.
H. E.
Absolutely love this place. The choice of food and drink is fantastic. Good entertainment. Great for all ages. Love the new games area.
E. (.
Great place in Dony!
Can play games - darts, shuffleboard, mini bowling and others. Nice food choice, have a cocktail bar. Some evenings have live music.
Place to return and return!
B. 1.
It's a great little venue, lots to do for the whole family and great way to start a night out if you're in a group.
Only down side is how early it shuts on a weekend, all of the stalls having last orders at 9:30pm on a Friday night was very odd, still, the half hour we was allowed to spend in there was good and we managed a very quick game on the shuffleboard.
B. K.
Great atmosphere and fab to sit with friends and enjoy. It was a really hot day, we were able to enjoy outside and inside.
C. W.
This place is amazing! Something that should be in every town! Such a good way to bring community together and bring people in from neighbouring towns 🧔🧓👵🧕
F. B.
We went to the Wool Market for lunch on 3 days out of our week's stay in Doncaster. We had pizza, a taste of Cuba and Indian. All were fantastic and really good value for money. My husband was impressed with the selection of craft beers and we loved the atmosphere. Dogs welcome too, which is always a bonus. Thanks
A. T.
Brilliant quiz night at the written quiz every 3rd Thursday of the month. Loads of fun and not your typical pub quiz. Fabulous selection of food stalls, all cooked fresh and quality ingredients. Highly recommend.
M. B.
The Wool Market has a fantastic, delicious and diverse amount of food,
From an Italian pizza to an Indian Madras, they really have everything you could ever want in one building.
They have cheap prices, nice staff, and a fantastic way to keep track of who bought what.
I personally bought the Indian Madras and the flavours were fantastic, the food was hot and the atmosphere was calm. This is a brilliant place to eat if you want somewhere quiet, with quick service, and have delicious meals.
R. P.
What a lovely surprise,in the Doncaster Market area. The Old Wool Market has been turned into an eating area with numerous eating and drinking stalls. There is an outdoor seating area, which is so relaxing on a sunny day. Sensible pricing makes this a welcome relaxing break
L. P.
A Varied choice of food available here , along with occasional live entertainment. A Darts + Mini Bowls+ Shuffle Board areas + a second stage + Licensed Bars +Seating Areas & Tables. Quiet busy at Weekends & Holidays.
C. A.
Fantastic old building with a wide selection of eateries and plenty of seating inside and out. It's a shame they cheapened the place with bowling and games etc but overall a good destination for food and drink. Doncaster could do with a few more places like this, which are similar to Kommune and Cutlery Works in Sheffield.
B. M.
This was the first time we had been into Doncaster itself, although we have been to the Dome and Racecourse many times. The Wool Market is a must! There was a food festival on, so I'm sure it boosted trade a bit, but there was so much choice to go for. Foods from all over the world and something for everyone. Slap bang in the middle, so you can't miss it.
I.
I love it 😍 that place
Good food nice atmosphere and very good place for meeting friends
L. E.
I loved this place it's like all in one I spent hours there. Coffee shops, restaurants, pizzas, Mediterranean food, pups and more with live music which unfortunately I didn't attend one. It has game areas most importantly its clean and has toilets. Parking available.
M. M.
Just been to the Market Cafe in the wool market. What a find and cheap too. This cafe is a must if you fancy a snack whilst in the city
A. C.
Very nice, good atmosphere, nice live music, good food
L. R.
Great food, wait was 20/30 minutes despite it being 2 in the afternoon on a Friday and there wasn't many people in the market at all, but the chicken popcorn and chips were delectable and the place was cool in terms of weather so I wasn't hot ot cold in there at all.
S. B.
Only visited in the morning so not much was open but its a lovely idea and looks like a great place for a night out to relax with friends and have a wide variety of food to try. Also some activities to take part in for a cost.
S. M.
Great selection of independent food places, you will be spoilt for choice. Brilliant atmosphere with lots to do if you want to or you can sit and relax.
l. b.
So much to choose from in food and drink to suit everyone. Prices to suit all pockets. Lots of seating to choose from, just wish tables got wiped more when people vacate.
S. Y.
Nice area with friendly staff. Lots of different food courts and drink areas to buy from. There is a seating area with public toilets. Also a small bowling alley and small arcade area.
S. S.
Plenty of choice
Well run.and organised
Friendly staff
Love the way you are given the little handset to let you know when the foods ready which avoids queues. The food is delicious especially the pizzas. Will definitely be returning.
M. H.
Lots of options. Genuine food sellers who care about ehat they are serving. Good cocktails. Plenty of places to sit.
F. P.
Great place lots of food venues with plenty of choice. Reasonably priced in most places.
M. M.
Great food and Great Customer service! Top Drinks too, either alcoholic or fresh drinks. Will keep visiting and eating an drinking.
S. h.
Great multi outlet venue, a bit of a shame its been taken over as a drinking venue rather than a place for families to go comfortably.
R. F.
Food, drinks and atmosphere were amazing. We were also impressed with a female member of security. She was pleasant and polite in explaining to us why we couldn’t take a wine glass outside, even offering to get us a plastic glass. Great service and so nice to experience a member of a security team who is firm but also kind. Rachel & Chris
P. K.
This was open on my last night in Doncaster, old market hall now got a selection of bar's and eateries in it offering wide range of cuisine. I'd a burger & chips from the Rustic Burger place, freshly cooked reasonably priced and very tasty.
c. B.
Thursday night is quiz night , great crowd of people great quiz and good selection of food and snacks 👌
J. M.
Lovely environment. Just had an overhaul, many sale stalls gone, replaced with games; electronic darts and compact bowling. Looks fun, but not a market in any sense anymore
B. P.
Great place to dine, loads of choice or if you fancy just to chill with a cold or hot drink. It can get a bit busy but that's because it has a great atmosphere. Only thing to point out is that, as is the norm these days, the toilets are unisex, but the cubicles do have locks which helped to sway the wife.
R. M.
This is a really nice place in Donacster, so much choice and suck a friendly place to est and drink. Try out the shuffleboard game and try out all the food one by one. There is a local brewery bar housed here and well worth trying some of their distinct and flavoursome ales.
M. D.
First time I've been in. It was a pleasant surprise from the old market that was there before. Food drinks for the adults and games to keep the kids occupied, or just good for a night out 100% improvement.👍
C. H.
Excellent spread of all different kinds of foods wether you are wanting an Indian or something from Peru, there is something for everyone here. Really love this place, will be coming back.
J. A. H.
Very quiet when we visited. Certainly looked as if it would be good when busy. Sort of pop-up feel about it. Very clean and tidy.
J. B.
They've made this quite a nice place to go for a relaxed drink. Plenty of different bars and foods. Toilets are poor though, shared facilities and nearly always a queue.
J. C.
Great venue! A really relaxed vibe to the place with live music on Fri & Sat evening and the added virtual darts and mini bowling while good a tad expensive. The booking website needs work also, very confusing and the fact ot states, if you pay and can't turn up, tuff!! You have lost your money!! Hmmmm a tad harsh, a small admin fee if you cancel I can agree with but of something had have happened when I went it would have cost me £45!! So given the times we are in I think the Wool Market needs to re think this.
All the different eateries and bars make it a great place to eat, drink and chill. Great addition to Doncaster Centre!
K. P.
Lots to do. Free arcade some darts and bowling with a beer. Variety of food available. Something for everyone. What else would you need :D
S. L. W.
Absolutely love this place. Just great atmosphere with so many different food and drink bars
M. B.
Tjisplace is new, and its excellent. Food from around the world, bar with craft beer and you can sit outside. Very friendly people, really impressed by it.
D. F.
the revamped wool market is a great addition for Doncaster, a good choice of food vendors with a central seating area and occasional live music on a Friday evening. Check out Taste Peru for gorgeous food
D. K.
Really cool place to eat, lots of different food stalls. and you have some fun with some games.
N.
Love the feel of this place always relaxed and plenty of choice on both the food or drinking side to choose from ..and clean toilets I've been to in Doncaster I a long time .
R. G.
Clean, great choice of food outlets and top quality
D. S.
I'm only reviewing the Wool Market from a craft beer point of view. I noticed a busy bar in the market and recognised the name, Don Valley (which is a brewery based in Mexbrough) and decided to check it out. They have 5 of their own cask beers on tap and 4 of their own beers on tap. prices are quite reasonable at 1.50 for a half of the low abv beers and 1.75 for those above 5%. You can sit outside or indoors, depending on the weather. There are toilets at the back. While I was wandering around, I noticed there's a craft beer shop at the back, called Glug. They have around 100 craft beers in bottles and cans
G. M.
We like coming here every so often to grab some munch as the food is always great and the service is quick 👌🏼 😋
J. L.
This place is FANTASTIC for eating in! * Watch your ice-cream being made and rolled up
* Eat Peruvian
* Vegan/vegetarian
* Pizza
* Fried Chicken
* Cupcakes
* A Gin & Prosecco bar
* A little pub
And these are the ones I can remember
The atmosphere is great, lots of tables. It'd only been open 3 weeks when we went (10/04/19). I had a falafel wrap £4, my friend had a fried chicken burger and chips with garlic and rosemary seasoning on the chips £10.
M. E.
Like this place very casual and informal. Good night out.
C. G.
Very lively great place to grab a drink and a bite to eat. Good selection of food stalls all doing a street food kind of vibe. Some of the food isn't great. We tried the signature Mac and cheese from one of the traders and it was quite bland, certainly not cheesy enough. Also had food from some of the other stalls and that has been good. Best so far was the Peruvian.
A. J.
Good choice of food I went to Peru bar got chicken skewers and nachos 2 x coke £21 was OK for lunch time but if this was on a evening I would be disappointed.
From another seller got cake for pudding got pistachio cake very dry and carrot cake disappointed not fresh made avoid.
Will go again on a evening as they have music.
The burgers looked good and very popular will probably go with them next time.
D. H.
Nice place to pop into for a light meal. Good choice of different types of food at reasonable prices. Will definitely go again when in the area.
D. P.
The atmosphere in this place is "Electric" even on a Sunday afternoon, Poplar place to eat & meet friends old & new
D. S.
Went for a bite to eat and a drink on Saturday night. Brilliant food and drink, super band. Definitely worth the visit.
R. M.
One of the best spots in Doncaster for time out with friends. Diffrent types of food. Live music on weekends. Game center. Drinks and food 😍😍😍😍
a. c.
Great choice of food & drinks from a variety of vendors, got to be quick to get a table though!!
C. W.
First visit to the Wool Market and was pleasantly surprised. Great place to meet up with friends.
Would recommend it, and will definitely return 👍
K. F.
Plenty of choice of food and drink, clean and decent atmosphere
P. J.
Great place..loads of choice for food and drink. Entertainment throughout the day. Great atmosphere. really enjoyed it
C. C.
We went to spend some quality family time with our granddaughters Scarlett and Sienna who were loving the dancing and fun and games being provided by Mr Dan
It was brilliant the kids were having a whale of a time and the parents were having fun too.
C. R.
First time visiting this newly transformed area of Doncasters old indoor market. It seems to be a popular place with people of all ages. The stalls are now food cafe's from around the world, including from India, Peru, Syria, China. There's also pizza's, burgers, cakes, ice cream and a busy bar.
Other stalls offer craft goods, printed merchandise, pictures and so on.
There's also a small stage area which shows films, on certain days. Live bands could also play there, but not on a Saturday lunchtime.
We had a Mediterranean meze meal for 2 and it may have been better to take a photo of the meal before we tucked in! Needless to say it was delicious, but only 1 of us likes olives which is why some of them remain. Lovely.
M. M.
Excellent food and drink reasonably priced for quality.
c. s.
Treat yourselves, spend sometime in the wool market in Doncaster, wonderful venue. The indoor fish and meat market is well worth a visit too
M. H.
Nice place lots of places to eat lots of variety, plenty of seating, staff very friendly
C. S.
Love this place food excellent all kinds of drinks stalls to look at too has a good vibe
P. W.
Good, but a bit of a difference in pricing across the bars for the same thing
M. L.
Really lovely place with various booths selling different types of food and drinks from coffee and cake to beer and Mediterranean delights.
The whole place was clean, tidy and light and airey with plenty of clean tables to eat and drink at. Groups are able to buy food from different booths and then sit together to eat. Highly recommended
D. B.
They did an amazing job, there's something for everyone. Some new places for food but the rustic pizza company still trump the lot.
The new games area is great, some fun retro arcades, table football, shuffleboard and darts. All just works with the venue, good changes.
N. F.
A number of small independent food sellers at reasonable prices. Indoor family entertainment.
C. W.
Since I last visited this place before Christmas the eating area has undergone a refresh, with comfy chairs and tables reaching the old trestles.
The concept is simple... a communal eating area surrounded by a diverse range of eateries and bars.
I had the lamb kofkas from the Syrian food stall and it was delicious as usual... in the past I've had burgers, pizza and family members have had sushi and Indian food from various stalls... food is always lovely although I have 1 x concern & 1 x grumble.
Grumble - whatever happened to Audrey the giant maneating plant from Little Shop of Horrors that was 'growing' in the roofspace.
Concern - Won't noise from the new bowling alley that's being installed affect the atmosphere and ambience of the rest of the Wool Market?
N. A.
Great place. Not cheap but lovely as a treat
A. n.
Great place for food and drinks
Good atmosphere
Will return
A. F.
Good atmosphere with plenty of space. Love the easiness of ordering however it's a bit dissapointing that not all of the stalls are open on the same day.
D. J.
Great addition to Donny! Plenty of food choices, and a couple of dedicated drinks places. Can't wait for the bowling and darts to open.
P. B.
Great place to hang out, good choice of food and drink as well as new games and live acts.
K. S.
Nice venue, food and drink options and new entertainment with darts, bowling and shuffleboard
L. D.
Not as much food choice as I expected, but what I had was ok, I would go again.
R. C.
Best place to stop for food in Donny at the moment - Rustic Pizza every time
L. J.
Really good afternoon with the family. Lots of food and drink to choosr from and a fab game of bowling.
H. K.
Great food, drink and music venue.
D. B.
Good choice of food , Peruvian was great, good atmosphere, will return soon
A. B.
Fun in the sun, good food, drink, a great place to meet friends, and watch the world go by
G. T.
Used to really enjoy the Wool Market. Won't be going again. Noise from bowling alleys horrendous!
V. N.
I was so excited when the Wool Market opened. But it lacks sparkle and zing. Never any tempting aromas its kind of dead really. I love the Rustic Pizza place but that's as far as it goes. Needs a new manager to regain the momentum.
D. F.
Lovely sitting outside, having a drink or two 😉, listening to acts performing for ĎN1 live
D. C.
Great place to eat, lots of choice
H. S.
Lovely place, but quite noisy and rather warm.
B. M.
Great in here. First visit post rona and the table ordering app thing is much better than the queues that used to form.
Seats at the other end all plenty of space.
First time we had food but the rustic pizza and burger was spot on.
Good use of this fine old market hall
J. R.
Modern food court of the type which is springing up in most towns. Take away food to eat in.
A.
Amazing caramel Latte 👌😋 waiter's are really friendly, prices are reasonable. Will definitely be back again
H. C.
Heard a lot about the wool Market from my friends and colleagues but never visited. We went the other night for the quiz. I loved it, warm, great food, friendly staff. Had an amazing night.
K. “. O.
This place is simply amazing, street food, some extremely good value for this read Rustic Pizza/Burger, amazing food and value, other are seriously over priced Taste Peru, £6 for 2 tiny empanadas...AVOID! Otherwise well worth a visit, and the Thurs pub quiz is a must, free to enter!
G. H.
Good choice of food available for everyone
D. B.
Well done on the modernisationAn absolute credit to doncaster combination of old market with a modern twist offering multi cultural cuisine and drinks with a wide variety of market stalls.
T. B.

V. P.

C. t. t. (. C. F.
Lovely atmosphere, clean and friendly. Food is gorgeous
A. J.
Not been into Doncaster for a couple of years, and wow! Looks amazing, totally transformed the Wool Market, the creator pod is cool, and a great idea for creators in and around Doncaster. I brought my daughter & mum, we had all pizza from Rustic Pizza which were all tasty, will be back soon.
C. G.
Great range of food and drink in a cool building
M. B.
Evening review. Nice live music, good selection of dood and drinks but I found the plave had an odd ambience. High ceilings and quite hard lighting for evening
L. C.
Live this place. Great drinks and very friendly people.
M. S.
Covid friendly table service worked well very good experience definitely do it again
M. S.
Spot on. Plenty of choice for food and drink. Nice atmosphere too 👍

The Wool Market is a place where I always take my friends . Amongst the many stalls there is always something good to eat and drink. Catering from the old to the young you will find something to enjoy .Oh there are also craft stalls.
D. M.
An excellent venue for a night out or just a quick snack. An excellent range of foods served to suit all tastes and at reasonable prices. Good live music venue too.

A great place to take the kids for a bite to eat and have a few drinks. We did the quiz and was a good laugh.

A. K.
Amazing. Played darts and shuffleboard. Loads of fun!
G. S.
Visited on a sunny Saturday afternoon with the family. The 2 members of staff that were outside couldn’t have been more helpful. It’s dead easy to order drinks and food via the QR code. Drinks service was fast and efficient from different places. It felt really COVID safe and well managed. Will definitely be returning. Great to have such a lovely place in doncaster.
C. A.
A good variety of food and drink outlets. I have only eaten at Taste Peru and would recommend it.
S. W.
Great venue with plenty of options for food. Just needs a few more of the stalls being occupied
D. L.
A special place to meet friends. The food is varied and reasonably priced. Good atmosphere.
D. B.
Love it here!!! Always a good atmosphere!!
L. M.
Lots of variety of food to choose from. Lovely place and food
L. B.
Awesome place for food drinks and games
M. K.
Nice and very friendly, not what it use to be, now arts and crafts as well as coffee shops and, wine bars not for me.
M. w.
Brilliant family and friend group atmosphere with live bands and a great selection of food courts. Great to start off a good pissup round doncaster with a bite to eat and a thew pints
R. W.
Interesting food. Good fresh sushi
P. S.
Well,Chester boy meets Donny!!! What a marvellous city. The Wool market and surrounds is just amazing.freh fish ,fruit ,veg meat treatsand the flea Market on a Wednesday. Great pubs, varied food outlets, clean as my parents kitchen floor.Easy access and traffic free. Superb Chester could learn a lot.Thank you Donny.
L. M.
The food is good, the prices are reasonable and the queues/waits are not too long. I don’t like the toilets. They’re unisex and I have found the seats and floor to be often covered in urine on the several times I have visited. Also a lot of the men leave without washing their hands. In an ideal world I would be blissfully unaware of this fact.
H. A.
Great family atmosphere. Lots of choice, not cheap!
P. H.
A great place to meet up with friends for a bite to eat, especially when you can't agree what to eat because there are plenty of options under one roof.
A. B.
Good afternoon spent here 😍 when my friend and I went for a drink to the Donny tap and we had good food at Zaytuna. It was a very good atmosphere but it's not very warm in there and I hate the plastic glasses. The staff are friendly though but we are a bit worried that the place will not be popular in the winter.
A. K.
Had a great day/night lovely food great choice live band what more can you ask for
S. R.
Indian curry meal really tasty. Good service and drinks.
Y. A. Q.
Nice selection of food and drink
N. S.
It's had a tidy up and added pub games and better seating
R. A.
I do very much enjoy coming here, there is a great selection of freshly.prepared food, from pizza to Peruvian which I've so far enjoyed every vendor.
The cocktails and coffee shops are great too.
The only thing that lets it down is the weird lack of extra seating in a large open space and it's ridiculously early closing time of 9pm
c. C.
The more food places they add the better it is, there's a really good variety at the minute. It's expensive but worth it!
D. C. E.
Not enough seating. Very sparse. Not enough stalls. Barnsley is loads better
Edit: update. Seating issues and heating problems have been fixed. Combine this with table service and it now is a much more appealing visit.
The range of restaurants is now much better. Something for everyone. Well done guys. Now a good reason to visit donnie.
A. T.
Just what Doncaster needed. If you haven't been yet, you're missing out. Global 'street' style food, a party can mix it up and has a choice of just about anything they want. Regular live events and a mix of all sorts of people. Doncaster culture at its best.
E. P.
Nice place to come and have a break at lunch everyones food choices catered for well worth a visit 😀
G. C.
An asset to the market. 7-8 food & bar outlets with communal seating areas both inside and out. Lovely outside on a warm, sunny day. Spanish tapas, Peruvian, Asian, pizza, dessert and bar outlets. We had tapas which was tasty. I think the old wool market had some useful & interesting stalls, most of which appear lost, but this food venue is a good replacement.
I. S.
Good atmosphere and a great selection of places to drink and eat. Great that you can sit outside.
S. C.
Great food with atmosphere
J. M. (. M.
Really nice, great range of different foods, plus the Don Valley tap bar. What's not to love.
T. M.
Visited during Covid-19 restrictions. Big outdoor seating area where you can scan a QR code and place and pay for you orders from any of the outlets inside. They will then bring it straight to your table. Best enjoyed during nice weather of course!
A. G.
Friendly atmosphere, good food . Also watched a couple of bands /singers on a Saturday night.
J. J.
Just went for a look around. Wouldn't fancy eating there at the moment because it is really cold. Should be better in the summer. It's a shame most of the stall holders had to vacate they were part of the Doncaster history just like the corn exchange. Sign of the times
S. W.
Shame the original wool market has long gone, use to go there with my dad as a child, at least it saves the building, and they've made a good job of it.
p. m.
Love the New Wool Market. Great ambience, delicious food stalls, reasonably priced and a fantastic selection of craft stalls to browse.
Wonderful cosmopolitan feel to it with bands on to entertain you and outside seating. It really is a fantastic afternoon or evening out for families and all ages.
C. M.
Good choice of food and drink available to try. The prices are slightly higher than normal but you’ve a wide selection to pick from.
P. J.
Fantastic meal. Curry on a tray. Children's entertainment for Christmas. Was a lovely afternoon
S. G. C. C.
Fab meal out to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We ate Tapas and Sangria. And the cake and coffee for pudding! Lovely relaxing atmosphere. Looking forward to going again when there is live music!
R. c.
Absolutely lovely x great atmosphere, great service, food & drink is amazing & again great price x Definitely would recommend & will return x 😉 loved it xx
D. C.
Great place. Nice food good drinks. Shame about one bar running out of prosciutto for cocktails!! You knew it was busy even with covid restrictions 🤔
R. H.
Great place, good mix of food - all really good quality
A. W.
Vibrant unique area in Doncaster, great choice of food outlets
d. l.
Food brilliant very clean saff polite and very helpful
A. H.
Food and drinks , what more could you ask for...
J. H.
A very nice place BUT why did they leave the top of the glass screens and doors not blocked off and just open to the elements. I certainly wouldn't like to sit and eat in a draught, cold area through choice. The heaters are not adequate enough to keep the cold air away, I know I was in there.
Perhaps use it in the Summer but not when it's cold.
V. N.
It has atmosphere but sometimes the entertainment is too loud and intense...when it's country dancing that's not necessarily what you want to shout over! Food here can be patchy but the pizzas are always perfect. Need more staff to clear tables faster and keep the place looking fresh. It's a plus for Doncaster though for sure
H. E.
Great selection of food and drink outlets, plenty of seating available and good atmospere
K. M.
A great spot for a range of upmarket fast food and just relaxing. Enough space for the kids to run around as well whilst you watch them. Did have a bit of a nasty experience with the guy from the fancy shoe shop accusing my son of stealing a dinosaur I had given my son. Some people are just so pompous thinking every dinosaur belongs to his son who was not even there. SMH
L. W.
First time visiting here today and I have to say I was very impressed. It was family friendly lots of choice of food, pizza, Peru, Indian with a burger place opening soon, on top of that there were lots of different watering holes including cocktails and to top it off an ice cream parlour. Live music was about to start at about 6pm but at that point we moved on.
G. G.
Great to the Woolie so busy enjoying this great venue for all ages. Great food from Rustic Pizza 👍
H. G.
Lovely place with great selection of food and drink in a nice environment.
E. m.
This place needs more stalls and hustle and bustle to create a better atmosphere. Such a shame they haven’t linked up with the fish and meat markets and done cooked food from those stalls. A real opportunity missed. I hope it succeeds and grows though.
t. o.
Grate food and drink .And live music what ells do you need
H. B.
Love this place, so many different kinds of food, drink and desserts
R. M.
We regularly go to the wool market with our kids. The food from all the different stalls is very tasty and prepared quickly. We love being able to choose different foods every time we go.
C. W.
It has live music, food and drink stores, seating can be a bit hard, and heating is above you which goes on and off at random. But there is a good atmosphere.
j. b.
First and last time I'm going to it!, I know it's April and warm out, but it was very cold with no visible heating, it looks good from the outside, but the inside has a lot of wasted space, the food and drinks were expensive and nothing special, the stores were poor.
M. S.
Great evening with the family, very wide range of good quality food. Highly recommended 👌
D. P.
Efficient ordering using phone bar code, quicker than going to the bar. Tables well spaced. Clean toilets
W. B.
Not as good as the old wool market.
P.
Great re-vamp in many ways but still looks sparce and is freezing! Heaters are very small and make little difference, they need to improve the heating if it's going to keep consumers coming to the small shopping stalls in the winter.
B. M.
Fab place to meet up with your friends before heading off into town, gret choice of foods to savour, and a couple of bars to get you in the mood for you evening out, great free entertainment, on a Friday and Saturdsy evening from 6pm.
O.
Great choices for food here, everything we have tried has been excellent, lots of quality offerings making it well worth a visit.
P. R.
In comparing this to my last visit in around 1976, I would say that they have made some improvements... that said it's really not one thing or another... it wants to be a up class market while at the same time being a venue for eating drinking and night entertainment... I dont think it quite gets what it wants to be. That said worth a visit on a day and an weekend evening
A. M.
Loved it, relaxed with good food and family
E. B.
Really nice venue and lots of good food available for reasonable prices. Definitely would come back
L. P.
Nice place for foods from around the world. A few bespoke traders selling wonderful pictures, cup cakes, clothing etc but could do with more traders to attract more customers. Nice building
N. B.
Ok and a few interesting quick food suppliers and some interesting real ales. Plenty of seats.
J.
Fantastic choice of food and drinks.
D. H.
Love this little place however I think I visited to early this Sunday hardly any stalls on , so wasted shopping trip
R. A.
This is a brand new venture for Doncaster and I can see it being a really vibrant place. Contains shops and places to get a drink (also alcohol) and lovely food. I can see this becoming a bustling venue. Well worth a visit.
A. G.
Really enjoying the growing selection in here, would be great to see more local people bringing trade in to keep it alive and growing. Only downside is that if you're going in to eat, it can be a little chilly! Bring a coat!
J. C.
Very cold. The doors are always open creating a wind tunnel. Thought should be given to the staff working here.
Thought should be given to the food retailers and the public trying to eat a hot meal.
Great selection of food and drinks.
The best onion bajis delightfully cooked with perfect spice.
Spendid food outlets in total.
Toilets should not be communal unless a perminant attendant is there. More hand dryers please.
Will be disastrous in winter I'm sure the management are aware of this.
B. M.
Great venue but very draughty also if seated away from the middle area then screens are needed to see the entertainment. There are screens in the middle which are not really needed they should be in the other area.
D. H.
Lots going on here. A great addition for Doncaster town centre.
D. H. (.
The Pizzas are perfect every time.
K. C. S.
I love the variety of foods :)
A. D.
Very busy. Get rid of plastic glasses and we will visit more and give 5 stars
L. C.
First time of going, will be back.
G. W.
Very clean tidy nice place fora meal or snack
I. J.
This is a great place to eat drink and relaxing
M. L.
I'm giving this place 4 stars instead of 5...I keep going back here to check on its improvement... But I am still a little bit disappointed... Its the same stands virtually and nothing seems to change...It's a pity they have made s great job of improvements to the building... But the place at the moment is lacking atmosphere... During the day... May be different in the evening...
D. D. O.
A very modern place lots of quirky stalls maybe too many some nice looking bars ad food outlets wouldn't call it a market really not after the old one it replaced but it is nice and modern
A. P.
Great place the new Wool Market. Great food and beer selections and you can let the wife go off shopping. Heaven
R. L.
Nice open and relaxed space
S. M.
The new wool market is brill.
Plenty of local parking.
It has brought a new hip and vibrant feel to Doncaster, lots of entertainment, and food, with an acoustic performer on stage singing a few class songs (I enjoyed a revamped version of Last Request by Paolo Nutini), great job! Thanks to Annette and David Bo Ramsay for looking after the entertainment too.
Food, glorious food !! So many varieties available, South American, Indian Street food, Asian, one stall with an amazing mix, with paella that looked astounding and baklava for dessert. All reasonably priced!
A few bars to quench your thirst, and a world beer stall!
J. W.
Great choice of food and drink. Negatives because it's all single use plastic it's served in
N. B.
Always love the vibe there, nicely maintained and spacious sitting. Love the food as well.
C. T. (.
Great food. Bloody cold with no heaters... Bring a coat.
K. P.
Very good w/cs
O. O.
The refurbished Doncaster Wool Market. This has become a state of the art modern market facility with attractive outlets. Variety of items ranging from Fashion to Household Decorations are available. Food vendors providing refreshments and assorted drinks are not in short supply. Though the place is closed on Mondays, it's opened long hours on Thursdays to Saturdays. If you find yourself in Doncaster, this is a place to visit.
I. K. M. A.
Yes there is a small low level stage directly opposite the fixed seating area where can sit & eat. However if there is ever a crowd, there is no standing room in front of the stage & no room to dance unless you are on the left or right with no view. So the wool market is OK for sit down events & having temporary stalls for craft fairs or record fairs. Which means it is competing against Donny council for hosting such events which can be held on the fixed outside stalls opposite the corn exchange. At least both locations have public toilets available.
D. F.
The new Old Wool Market building has just reopened after a £7000000 makeover which I think has been done well.Inside it's early days yet but There are a few stalls which sell various things, antiques, hand made shoes, children's things etc. The main part inside this building is a food court with a seating area's. A good variety of foods from around the world, I had a chicken dish from Peru which was delicious. So come visit Doncaster and visit the Wool Market and don't forget to visit the main market with meat, fish and fresh veg all much cheaper than a supermarket. 👍😊
C. S.
Some great food places in there. Sunday afternoon treats for us!
A. H.
Now a lot more modern, not so many stalls, not sure if it is suitable for the older generation, more for the coffee set
A. C.
Over priced pretentious development helping to accelerate the assisted decline of what used to be one of the best markets in the country. Unfortunately if you now want to go to a market of substance you need to go to the likes of Bury.
n. m.
Sadly the changes made or the current economic challenges (possibly a combination of the two) have changed the atmosphere and the food quality.
D. F.
Love this place , just what donny needed , classy , great music and loads of choice of food ( we have eaten at most and haven’t had a bad meal yet ) highly recommend for a relaxed afternoon or evening out
S. A.
Busy. Music. Shopping. Entertainment. Food. Drink. What more could you ask for? Even stays open after 5pm :) worth a visit any time of the day even if it's for a coffee between meetings
G. G.
Loved it xx atmosphere is brilliant. 10 quid a curry and a pint x
M. L.

Lots of different food outlets, found ordering via scanner a bit of a nuicance.Food we had was good
b. b.
Lovely, vibrant place! Lots of nice food, drinks and of course Scrapes rolled ice cream! Good entertainment on the weekend too! Worth a visit 😍
D. C.
Some really cool shops and some nice eats with the odd acoustic act. Nice bar too. Bit pricey in some places and they won't let you put posters up.
T. S.
Nice place to eat
R. H.
The tables are not too clean 😥
S. B.
Love this place. Great to have it back open again. Plenty of outdoor space
J. F.
A refreshing sight to see in doncaster, i went in only recently for the first time and was amazed at how nice the place was, there were all sorts of stalls and little shops sellings food, drink and other little bits and pieces. I tried some of the "rolled" icecream (which i highly recommend) from a shop called scrapes it was a little pricey but definitely worth it. As for the wool market itself there's a lot to discover which is probably why i liked it so much, check it out for yourself. The only problem i have is that i found it to be a little cramped and would often find myself having to move out the way of other people or asking them to do the same, other than that it's great!
L. N.
The new wool market is amazing! There is a lot of selection of food and drink and even more than that. My personal favourite is Scrapes rolled ice cream. The best one (in my opinion) is the original kinder. Yum, its making me drool just thinking about it. The fresh orange juice from scrapes is great too, and definitely not got any thing artificial and unnatural in it. Definitely visit the wool market, you will not regret it!! X
R. S.

J. R.
There's something very comforting about the wool market, I'm not sure what it is, but it's great.
H. S.
Bit disappointing as some if the stands and small shop areas were either closed or have ceased trading A little empty and lacking in atmosphere
