The steaks in this place are the best i have had in Donny! The chips were standard and tasted like frozen chips but overall the food was lovely and the restaurant is definitely the place to go. Reasonably priced menu! Didn't have a dessert so can't comment. Be mindful it is cash only....no card payments. We will go again!

This was our first visit to this lovely family run restaurant, and it most definitely won't be our last. The staff were very attentive but didn't buzz around us. The food was delicious and such a great price 😋 they do a steak platter 2 8oz steaks (upgrade to 10oz for £2 extra) 3 sides & 2 sauces for £32.00 👍 the steaks were delicious and melted in your mouth. They did platters for 4 people also and a variety of different platters as well as a varied range of dishes. It was a lovely atmosphere and the other diners all seemed to be regulars. They only take cash so make sure you visit the cash point before you go. But if you don't there is a cash point just up the road. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a lovely evening

- Friendly staff - Clean establishment. Unfortunately we was given the centre table and people was walking around us quite a lot. But once we was eating it we didn't realise to much. Food was fantastic, the price is cheap compared to the surrounding venues that have upped their price. For example, £3 for a JD & Coke. Compared to the surround places charging as much for £4.80 for a single and £5.60 for a double. (no joke, it's a very real thing). 😩 Toilets are upstairs and I'm uncertain about one for disabled users. It's a fairly high step to walk in. Hope this may help.

Best steakhouse in Doncaster. Visited recently and had the calamari to start, fillet steak with chunky chips and Yee-Haw beans after. All absolutely packed with flavour!! Paid approx £25pp with a bottle of red wine, which is incredible value when you consider the quality of the meal. Can’t wait to come back

Zammutos tonight. 1st visit and loved it. Lamb cutlets to start, 8oz fillet with Diane sauce, chips, haw haw beans, garlic mushrooms and onion rings!!!! Melt in the mouth steak 😋 Staff very friendly and attentive. Excellent service and great prices. We all had 3 drinks each plus desserts and coffees. £60 per couple. Highly recommend it and will definitely return!!!

Service although friendly was sadly lacking, ie pots left and glasses left on the table to long, even though it wasn't to busy. Sauces where cold, which they gave a partial refund on, shame coffee takes absolutely ages, was offered a coke while it was being made, then forgotten altogether.

Amazing simply amazing, went last night for a celebration just the two of us. Had the garlic mushrooms and sharing plattler for starter, and steak combo to share. Arrived at 19:00 hrs on a Thursday evening great atmosphere lucky to get in for a table for 2, I would recommend booking, charming staff the venue compact and bejou clean and well managed. Came here during the week as part of the EOTHO scheme. It was so busy but the staff coped remarkably. To top it off the food was amazing. Best steak I’ve had in a long time. Staff were very attentive to our needs having a little one despite being rushed off their feet. Quite simply the best fillet steak ive had in the UK and priced at a level of amazing value. The smokey homemade beans are delicious. The only suggestion would be homemade fries or chips, but to be honest hardly anywhere does them but everywhere that does always pops up in conversation so it would be another talking point as well as the awesome steak and pepper sauce. Puts other local steak houses to shame on price point, cant say on quality as i would bother going and risking paying nearly double for less. 10/10

i cannot comment on the food, as i never got into the restaurant to eat. they would not allow a booking after 7pm on a saturday, so we arrived at 645pm to then be told walk in could not be seated until 730pm. the restaurant was half full, with tables available. I cant understand why they turn people away. hopefully i can try again another time, but not for a while.

What can I say about this place? Well the steak were cooked to perfection. I think this was my best steak of the year. Oh and it's priced reasonably...when I say reasonably it's so reasonable that it was supermarket price. So were the wines. Just one guy serving over 14 customers at the same time without a fuzz or a delay deserves about 6*.

Uncle Ray was overwhelmed by the efforts they made for him ( he has more dislikes than likes when it comes to food ) Sad to hear that due to a couple of hard to please individuals they have now opted out of the eat out to help out scheme. Simply brilliant. Arrived on Saturday 13 FEB. had to wait a few short minutes for table, staff could not apologize enough for the delay. Slight delay for drinks order, no problem for us but again could not be any more obliging. Food arrived quite quickly, mine was great however my partner thought hers had too much lemon in it. No sooner than we mentioned, the meal was taken away and replaced almost immediately with another one of her choice. Ordered coffee which was lovely and hot and was informed that the coffees were on the house because of the waiting and also the meal not being right! We did not expect anything as it really was no problem to us but what a pleasant change to see such a positive attitude towards the customer. Would 100% recommend it. Thank you to all the staff.

They have a really good specials board too, their steaks are the best in Doncaster. Nothing seems too much trouble when you ask and their wine cellar has good choices with out being over priced. Good steakhouse with low prices compared to the competitors, great bruschetta as well (I've eaten far worse bruschette in Italy). Didn't try the pasta as it didn't have the proper recipe for a carbonara. Great price for value, though!

This was our first visit and we were very impressed from start to finish. We had walked along Netherhall Road to get to Zammuto's and many other restaurants looked empty at around 7pm on a Friday but not Zammuto's. Fortunately we had made a reservation and went straight to our table. There was a large family party in already which made for a lively but not unpleasant atmosphere. Pre-dinner drink orders were taken promptly and served quickly. All of the staff seem to work very well together and were communicating which was great to see. We ordered an Italian platter and a Mediterranean platter for starters and one between two would probably have sufficed. Everything was fresh and tasted very good in particular the tomato topping used on the bruschetta. My wife chose the Portuguese chicken which was moist & had enough spice and the chunky chips were the best chips we've tasted in a while. Having lived in the US for 14 years we were fortunate to have many good steaks and the chef at Zammuto's clearly knows how to cook meat. The 10oz fillet was thick, well seasoned and cooked perfectly - seared on the outside and warm moist pink inside. Great flavour and by far the best steak we have had since returning to the UK taking any swanky, more expensive steak restaurant into account. We had no room for dessert so can't comment on these. My only hesitation in giving such a strong review is that I hope Zammuto's doesn't become SO popular that we can't get in next time!

myself and my husband wanted to go somewhere different for our wedding anniversary so we booked at zammuto we travelled 30 miles on arrival we were greeted at the bar and taken to our table we wanted a booth for a romantic evening there were none available so i suggest you rerevev a booth on reservation we were put in the middle of the restaurant which wasnt very romantic we ordered our starters and mains the couple next to us finished so we exchanged tables with them which was a bit better. 10 mins later the waiter came and told us they had run out of lamb for my husband's starter so he changed his starter to pawns 5 mins after that the waiter came again and told us they had run out of onion rings my husband was starting to get cross as a special evening we had travelled to was turning in to a not so special evening. our starters came my husband nearly chocked on his starter as his pawns were warm and he does not like warm pawns but the,starter didn't state warm pawns. so he left all his starter, the waitress found this funny we didn't. the mains came and after no onion rings we chose a salad. the steak was the best steak we had both ever had cooked to our perfection which I suppose made up for the no lamb and no onion rings we then chose a pudding each to be told they had run out if both our choices which then again put a damper on the occasion. we chose different puddings which they had in they were lovely. the bill came up to £55 they didn't offer nothing free or take anything of the bill due to our inconvenience.

Honest Family/business!!!!!! we had a beautiful meal for my birthday, first time since the refurb, As it was my birthday when we left we accidentally left behind an envelope with a considerate amount of money In it. we contacted Zammutos and they had found it. when other people might of lied and kept it for them selves. they contacted us back and my wife picked up my birthday money for me. I would highly recommend zammuto's ,I went with two friends for a girly night , the atmosphere was great , the staff was superb ! I had the calamari for a starter , which was cooked perfect ! & the 10 0z fillet steak with the ,garlic mushrooms ,onion rings , fratelli carrots ,& spicy you potatoes which my steak was to die for cooked just how I like it ! We were a party of 5 last night. Food was excellent everything cooked as we asked. Christian was a brilliant host polite, hardworking and couldnt do enough to help you. Would highly recommend Zammutos to people.

After twenty or so years of coming to Doncaster we've just discovered this place. They used to be an "Italian", but changed to being a "Steakhouse" as a lot of people don't go to an Italian for good steaks - and let me set this record straight from the start: Zammuto do excellent steaks. Veggies are ok too, as are Pescatarians (fish eaters), but essentially, it is their steaks which you'd come for. Now, think about this... I had a Peroni, then we had two starters, the Calamari and the lamb cutlets (which in many places would have been a main in their own right) then mains of steaks, an 8oz and a 10oz, two sauces, two sides (great real chips and roasted carrots) AND a bottle of very presentable house wine. UNDER £50 I can't recall ever evangelising about such good food and amazing value like this before. People of Doncaster, you have one of the country's best steakhouses in your midst - celebrate it!
