Loved my visit here. The placed looks great, very quirky and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I tried the 9 course taster menu and it was unreal. Lots of small bites, full of differing and interesting flavours. By the end I was satisfied without being stuffed and unable to move. The starters and appetisers are brought out in pairs and you can't choose these but all were excellent. You choose your main course and this comes out with fries, rice and a chapati. I chose the curried cheese and again it was amazing. This selection was only £22.50 so great value too. Drinks and dessert were obviously extra. I'm already planning my next trip.

This place is great for delicious Indian cuisine, great service and interesting interior design!! I have visited this place many times including Christmas dinner and some celebrations with friends. They have set menu option or a la carte menu to choose from. I had their set menu on Friday and selected goat curry as main which was amazing! All food is served with additional information about the dish and looks and taste perfect! I would recommend to try their cocktails as well. I had mango and passion fruit non alcoholic one recently.

Valentine’s taster menu We had our valentine’s lunch here in Dhoom. We tried their taster menu which was good. Their cocktails are very nice. Ambience was very good, keeping the kids occupied all the times. They really enjoyed to sit on the swing and also the Tuk Tuk seating idea was impressive and catchy. Clean ambience, staffs were friendly. We recommend this place.

Hidden Secret of Dunfermline (Scotland !) First time in Dhoom with my lovely family and it’s the cutest little spot with amazing food. The service we received was so amazing and they made us feel welcomed. Our visit was a wonderful experience and we already booked our table for the next visit :-). Brilliant Indian dining experience in Dunfermline. Restaurant is spacious and decorated in a very fun way with swinging seats and converted tuk-tuk booths. We had a 9 course menu at £23 a head - huge amount of very good food. Highly recommended and will be back!

Oh man, Dhoom. Visited Dhoom for the third time on 6th April, 2022 and had such an experience that I think it's high time I reviewed and let the rest of the world know about this absolutely stunning, hybrid Indian streatery/fine-dining experience located in the centre of Dunfermline. So as mentioned, I've been to Dhoom a few times and always had a wonderful experience. The staff are friendly, the restaurant stylish and always busy, and the food is absolutely to die for. They do an extensive a la carte menu which covers a lot of traditional Indian fare and modern hybrid dishes, and a tasting menu which not only very competitively priced, but transforms dining in to a fine-dining experience - well worth it. Today's visit was different, though. The head chef, D Prasad has launched a new menu called Dehli6 after visiting Dehli and extensively researching some new dishes for his restaurant. We arrived this evening after booking online for an early dinner and were ushered to our seats by the head chef himself, who proceeded to tell us the story of his new menu and the background of the dishes. So, we were served the Dehli6 menu by the chef himself and talked through the origins of each dish - completely by luck (and kindness of the chef) we had an unbelievably personal dining experience and talking to the staff, it looks like this will be emulated by the waiting staff at busier times. They are all immensely proud of their food and serving standards and my god, it shows. The food of course was absolutely beautiful - we opted for the taster menus with an option for a main - a paneer masala and a junglee which were both some of the most nuanced and tasty curries I've ever had. Absolutely amazing. Dhoom is an absolute credit to D Prasad and his staff, and they should all be incredibly proud of the work they've put in. We'll absolutely be back for a fourth, fifth and sixth visit. Superb.

I always wanted to go in as there’s tables with swings and it just looks so cool! Finally me and my friend decided to have lunch. Simply amazing! The food was perfect. Very tasty. We got offered 2 menus, a la carte and a 9 course dinner menu, we chose the 9 course dinner one for £22.95 pp. Every dish was explained to us by a kind and friendly waiter. We started with a spicy tomato soup before the starters while we waited for the food. Also, a palate cleanser between the starters and the main course. Very nice. We got a couple of mock tails which were colourful and tasty. The place is nice, everything is modern and different. Loved it. Thank you, I will be back soon. Keep up the good work

Simply spectacular. Turns out the best Indian restaurant in Scotland is in Dunfermline, just up from the Alhambra theatre. Knowledgeable and friendly staff presented some of the very best Indian food I've ever had. The owner/chef also takes time to greet everyone and make sure they're happy. It's a seven course taster menu and every single dish was outstanding, it reminded me of proper Indian food we used to have when we lived in Delhi. The lunch menu is such a great deal, excellent service and the whole staff are super welcoming and efficient.

Delicious ~! We tried their lunch taster menu and wow, what a fun lunch time experience. Delicious mocktails, super friendly staff and amazing food. My personal favourite was the Chicken 65. The sauce was perfect. But the kulfi-pop was very very tasty and cute. Prices were incredibly reasonable and the decor was charming. We'll be back to try more! I'm in two minds about this place. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful and the staff are friendly and very helpful but I didn't think that the food, although very varied, was all that outstanding. Personally I found it all too spicy, so I would have liked the menu to state the level of chilli heat in each dish. I'll probably give it another go sometime, especially as their menu varies with the region that they are showcasing.

We were pretty blown away by our first time here! The Indian food is presented it a beautiful way I've never seen Indian food presented before. The starters where familiar tastes yet really different with the cardamom and other flavours I don't often have that much in Indian food. The Dahl was up there with my boyfriend's mum's dhal so that was amazing (lets just not tell her that haha!). My fave was the textured coconut lentil starter thing! Beautiful decor and the waiter was fantastic. Oh and good cocktails! We are visiting Scotland again in Feb quite far North but we're going to take a detour just to come back! Can't wait! I really hope to see more branches popping up!

This is a difficult one to review. If you love spice then maybe give it a go. It might be a little too hot for some to handle. It's based on Indian Street food. You're given several starters to begin with, the first a really strong spicy soup, that's supposed to cleanse the palate. You're mouth is now so full of heat making it hard to taste the rest of the starters. You only get to choose your main dish, which will also be rather spicy. The restaurant is beautiful inside and the service is fast, very very fast. We sat down at our seats and picked our main dishes, and the first of the starters arrive at the table, just after our order was taken. If you prefer a mild curry, then avoid. If like me, you enjoy really spicy food, then give it a try.

I have loved Indian food as long as I can remember, but this brought it to a whole new level. Every aspect of this dining experience was wonderful. The friendly, colourful restaurant, the knowledgeable, passionate staff, the chef-director taking time to visit each table to ensure you understood the authenticity of his food. The Indian food they serve really ‘spices’ it up for Dunfermline. (Yes I did just say that). They tend to focus on street food types of dishes, and they’re very tasty. They also do cocktails but with some flare in the delivery. I’ve seen some theatrical pouring of smoke over the cocktail on the table. Busy on arrival, this is a popular spot. Advised that it would be the taster menu which is £22.95, you get a bit of all six starters on the menu, one main course option and a palette cleanser in between. Service was okay, asked for table water which we didn't receive until we asked again later. Also needed to ask for more cutlery. At one point our next starter dish was coning but last plates weren't collected. One of our party is Indian and made it clear to one server that the Chipati's were not fresh at all, appeared to have been frozen, defrosted and reheated. Food was lovely so would possibly go again if we are in the area.

Bang in the centre town but missed this place immeditaly due to steamed up the windows were ( justifiably due to how busy it was) On arrival we were quickly greeted and offered whether or not we fancied the swing or the table ...we went for the swing. Which was comfy and cute! The menus were explained and we were advised this month's offering was the 'dehli' taster. This menu changes every 6 weeks ( I think!) The 'taster' menu was excellent and came out quickly, with descriptions of each item by the servers, all of which where smiley, helpful and warm, sometimes a bit tricky to hear what they said...but didn't matter as it was so damn good! The environment was so lovely, felt like you were dining alone and not in a heavily packed restaurant. The food came out quickly and was exceptional! The fish tatser were one of favs . We were blown away with how cheap it was for two of us at only slightly over £60 for the taster menu and a bottle of wine! Wow. Highly recommend!

First time visit here, certainly won't be the last. We went for the lunchtime taster menu, I won't list it here cos it's on the website. Anyhoo, I like the ambience of the place, even on a relatively quiet Thursday just after opening time. You have the choice to sit at one of plenty "normal" tables or a swing seat in the window or one of two tuktuks as found careering around the streets in India! We were made very welcome by the greeter and he explained the concept of regional street food. Likewise the waiter who brought the dishes, telling us a bit about the dish and where it comes from. I can't fault the food or the presentation, delicious and beautiful on the plate. Just under £14 each, I'd say a bargain! Looking forward to a return visit in the evening. Edit: second time there, just as good. Helpful, knowledgeable front of house staff really enhance the experience. Looking forward to trying the dinner menu!

Dhoom was an Indian adventure of authentic dishes from all over the country. We had the taster menu which was absolutely delicious. The restaurant owner served us personally and told where each dish came from. The interior of the restaurant was tastefully decorated without the usual flock wallpaper lol. What a lovely experience. Amazing food, great sevice, not so hidden, but gem worth exploring when out for a lovely culinary experience. Atmosphere quite authentic, modern and quirky even. Loads of nice design touches that make the overal experience even more enjoyable. Food, great selection of a la carte and set menus. We went for the set lunch menu, with multiple starters, taster starters and one main meal. Starters offered a variety of different options. Main dishes were on the small side which was explained to us by the staff when we were ordering, however following the one prestarter soup and four starters, it was just the right size. We also had a mocktail and chai and even got a wee bday mocktail with dry ice effect - genie's magic lamp with a wish. Staff was amazing, took their time to explain the various starters to us. Restaurant was nice and clean, music was just the right volume. Amazing experience, my wife and I have a new favourite place. We will be coming back. Went back again today, same experience, great food, great service. Definitely worth coming back! Went back again today, tried the tuk tuk seating for that extra authenticity. Amazing food. If you have not been yet, definitely go!

We discovered this restaurant by chance when we missed the train out of Dunfermline by just a couple of minutes. We walked up from the station, found this restaurant and decided to go inside. I am a really fussy eater and at first, I didn't think I was going to like the meal as I normally go for a korma. But for me it was a brilliant experience trying new things like their brilliant Goat Curry. The decor inside is amazing, the staff are really friendly and the food they do really is amazing.

Love Dhoom I am really indecisive about what to order as I love everything so u I’m love the taster menu where they bring you out several mini starters then a main with rice, masala chips and chapati. They also do tapas style dishes and individual mains. The cocktails are absolutely amazing too, love it! It looks great too, they have swing seats on the window but I’ve never dated sit on them I’d probably fall off 😅 They also have Tuk Tuks to sit in which is good fun. Highly recommended!

We were so full and didn't think we could manage dessert, and our server gave us the white chocolate samosa to try on the house since we travelled all the way to come, and I will definitely be saving some room and ordering next time- it was delicious! We travel from Falkirk, a town not short of quality food in its own right, which I mention only to highlight the high regard which I hold this place. The taster menu is a must for either dinner or lunch and they cater for a range of dietary requirements without compromising on quality. The staff are incredibly attentive and the best that I have had the pleasure of being served by in 20 something years of visiting restaurants. I really can't praise Dhoom enough and indeed my only complaint is that they won't shut the Dunfermline restaurant down and relocate itself (and all of their staff) to Falkirk.

If your expecting Indian dishes similar to your other local Indian Restaurants then you will be surprised as the food here is not the same. Tapas style portions to allow you to sample multiple different dishes. Staff are ultra attentive and the dining environment is clean and well decorated. Prices may be on the higher side considering the portion sizes but you dont come away hungry. Be aware many of the chicken dishes use the brown meat which is actually tastier imho but may not suit everyone.

A quirky Indian street food restaurant located on New row in the centre of Dunfermline, we went there for lunch. We had the two course starter lunch and enjoyed the experience of tasting food cooked in the style of different regions of India.
