We went for a meal on Saturday evening. The restaurant was very busy and we had a long wait for our food. But the staff were great and very apologetic. And the food was absolutely delicious. We would go again but maybe on a less busy evening.

Me and my partner enjoyed a meal at this restaurant yesterday evening. The restaurant was within walking distance of the hotel we where staying at. With it been a Tuesday evening we where able to get a table straight away. The food was fantastic and the menu actually came with pictures of the meals which was a little different. I opted for a cashew nut stir fry with king prawn and my partner went for a green Thai chicken curry, the meals where cooked to perfection and where very hot just as you'd expect. One issue I did have and is the reason I deducted a star, we ordered starters which where again very well cooked and the flavours where fantastic but the waitress took away out plates from this starter and brought out our main approx 1 min later this just made the meal a little rushed, usually nice to have a drink and a chat in between courses.

Travelled all way from Nottingham to Durham just to have lunch at Nadon Thai!!! Just kidding. Went there for lunch twice as it’s reasonably priced and great food variety. Excellent customer service. Looking forward to a third time visit with my sis in December 💕

Called sunday lunch time for our first visit. My wife had a seafood dish with sticky rice I had a prawn spicey dish with jasmine rice. When they arrived we thought there wasn't much food. But we both were pleasantly full after we had finished eating. The food was delicious and the service first rate we will be back soon.

The good points. The main courses were nicely flavoured with fresh vegetables and sauce /rice in good proportions. Young staff were polite and attentive. Presentation was basic. The bad points. Owner/manager greeted us with "I've been trying to phone you all day" - no reason given. No smile.or welcome, very grumpy. ( meal was booked 2 weeks previously as graduation dinner, phone turned off because we were at graduation). Then hussled to table right in back corner. It wasn't full. I had checked their online allergy matrix, ordering food that was clear of my allergens. Also explained this to nice young waiter who wrote in capitals on the order and said he would double check. After the starter came and I had taken a bite he rushed out with a different allergy matrix with some extra crosses in red pen and said oh I think you can't eat that. The owner following quick behind removed the plate, with no word or apology and rushed off looking cross. Young waiter offered a replacement but everyone else was eating by that point so didn't want to wait again. Good job I'm not anaphylactic. Manager just looked really rude and grumpy, maybe having a difficult day. But I definitely wouldn't go back or recommend to a friend.

I love Thai food, and have had it in many different countries, and I can honestly say that this was amongst the best I have tasted. Every dish was full of flavour and cooked to perfection. The service was great too - so friendly and attentive. Will definitely come back when we're next in Durham. 👍

Very nice little place, I haven't really had authentic Thai before, apart from a couple of homemade green curries, I had pork meatballs/dumplings to start, with soy type dipping sauce very nice. For main I have chicken pad Thai?? It was very good although as it was our Christmas do I was already a little too drunk to appreciate it. Would definitely go back staff were helpful and polite as for value for money ???? Company paid.

We are regular take out customers via deliveroo and everyweek we're delighted with our order. Favourite dishes include tofu and vegetable noodles and vegetable tempura with chili sauce. The restaurant is easy to find on Crossgate just five minutes walk from Durham city centre bus station.

When we arrived they were fully booked but they said they would have a free table in 20 minutes, so we waited on the sofas and studied the menu before being shown to out seats as promised. Our food was order and it arrived very quickly - even quicker than some other restaurants when they aren't even full! The food was fresh and very tasty and the puddings, although limited, did offer us with some deep fried ice cream to try for the first time. Thank you to the lovely waitress that looked after us!

We visited with some friends and our little baby a few weeks ago. They were so accommodating for our baby and very patient as it took a little longer to order trying to sort our little one out. The food was absolutely delicious, the waiters and waitresses were so kind and helpful. We can’t wait to come back again very soon. Thank you!

Lovely food. Wife is very hard to impress when it comes to Asian dishes and she likes going here. Every main has the option of being served as a vegetarian version, which is a big plus for members of my family, as is the fact the servers have been great with kids on multiple occasions. We go here as a first choice when having a meal to celebrate something, and a fair few times a year just with friends.

1st time here. Friendly & efficient staff Had the happy hour menu - starter and main for approx £12. Good option of around 6 choices for both starters & main with option of chicken, pork, beef, veg &tofu. Prawns for an extra £2. Very good size portions. Will certainly return.

Didn’t have a table booked but the staff managed to squeeze us in even though the place was really busy (popped over the road for a gin for 30 minutes). Food was amazing and the staff really friendly. Lots available for vegetarian and vegan. Looking forward to returning.

Seriously tasty Thai food. Starters were some of the best quality around in my opnion. Massamun lamb shank peeled off the bone. Flavourful sauces as expected from good quality Thai. This is my favourite Thai place in Durham right now. The price is decent and the food is just great. Try the green curry and try to have it at lunchtime, when they have an even better price. Service was great and they were very nice, even if they were about to close when we were arriving. Don't forget the student discount!

As a by-note, with road closures in Durham, it's a bit of a nightmare getting to the place when you are not familiar with Durham, but there is parking outside the restaurant once you get there...

Food was delicious and nicely presented. However, service was slow. We had to wait to even order, asked twice to bring water. Waitress was never around. After we finished meal had to wait 15min to get someone's attention for a bill. Don't get me wrong, we had a nice date even though it was Saturday evening and the restaurant was full. Fabulous food from here. The restaurant is open for take out only due to coronavirus rules. I called them up and put our order in in advance for it then to be ready later on the evening. A quick trip to collect with insulated bags to get it home. We had four starters and two mains. Duck rolls, fish cakes, chicken satay and salt and pepper chilli squid. The mains were duck curry and green curry with king prawn. The food was all delicious. I would also add that telephone and front of house service on collection was lovely.

The staff were lovely, a few things let this place down for me. Some were simple fixes......of you sell fresh fruit juices please serve fresh fruit juice. I ordered an Orange and mango drink assuming it to be fresh - A J2O? Is this for real? The restaurant was cold, the food passable borderline OK, it was however, beautifully decorated, but the starters especially the fish cakes were disappointing, soggy and lifeless, vegi spring roll to hard and crispy on the outside and flavourless.
