Will definitley be returning all the time!! Cocktails were so fun (super sweet which is perfect for me) and a reasonable price. Our server was so kind (wish I grabbed their name, but we were there Wednesday evening, June 23 and it was so fab) and it was so speedy despite it being relatively busy. Can’t wait to come back :)

Loved this place, great cocktails friendly staff and customers. We sat outside the main door which is outside but down stairs so a bit shades on a lovely sunny day but was still good to be able to sit outside in Scotland in April! There were seats on the sun up on street level but they were all taken as it was so sunny that day. I’ll be back, Hasta la vista baby!

It was fair asked for three different glasses of wine all out of stock ended up with very mediocre rose. Only good thing the weather. A gesture would have been to offer us a glass of rose from the one we wanted only sold as a bottle which the waiter didn't realise until he went to get it .Plenty more bars on George St

Candy bar is fabulous. Didn’t know what to expect but the exterior is inviting and the decor as you can see was eye catching. The server was polite and helpful. The menu is great. Some Cocktails 4 pound some 8. I ordered off the 3 for 9 pound menu. So many items which I would of gone for and I ended up having mac and cheese ball, calamari and halloumi fries. I can’t recommend this highly enough. The food was outstanding! Such a welcome surprise to find this bar and will defiantly be coming back a million times over. You MUST go here when in Edinburgh. Side note. Candy 75 pink gin lemon juice and processo is just right. Goes down lovely.

Was recommended this place by a friend for my day trip up to Edinburgh for the Christmas markets, the cocktails were good, the bar was busy and there was a wait for food. We weren't bothered about food so we just grabbed a drink. The only downside was the cocktail menu we were giving said the cocktail price was £4.50 when in actual fact it was £7.50 for one. Apart from that all was good. We enjoyed the drinks and the staff were friendly.

I liked the place. I think it just re-opend. The staff were nice, although a bit rushed. It was already crowded. A waitress got us a table although she said that most tables had already been reserved. That was very nice. It was a little hard to understand each other because it was noisy. The food was alright, although I got a sandwich instead of a peace of ham. This was not clear on the menu. We loved the oinion rings!! Also I'm in love with the dots on the menu and their logo. I have no idea where the name comes from and there are no references to it in de restaurant itself.

Fun place for a cocktail any night of the week. Monday can be just as busy as a Friday, but in a good way. There are always a bunch of new cocktails to try and they are sweet and reasonably priced. Staff doing there best to appease the masses. There is usually a line at the bar, but so many good options it's worth trying. Also VERY Instagramable if you're into that!

Delicious food! I ordered off the bites menu expecting the garlic bread to be tiny so over ordered and got the Mac and cheese fritters which were both delicious. Got slightly confused as to how to order as we walked inside and sat down and didn't get served. I walked over to the bar expecting to order from there like a wetherspoons but turns out it was table service. We then got moved outside as to sit inside you had to book due to COVID-19 regulations. I guess we should have expected that however no one informed us until after they took our order. Other than the mishap the food was delicious!

Nice place, outdoor location on George Street. Starters were fine, but the main and desserts weren't to our taste. Basic food, misleading menu in part. Good food at a great price. Was a little let down on latest visit, I think it's meant to be table service but had to go to bar to get an order in and also to pay bill at the end. Cocktails are no longer cheap here but average priced, but you can't complain too much given the low cost of the food. Down rated for lack of repeatability in level of service

The staff who served us were nice and friendly but inexperienced. With the name of the bar and the number of specialist drinks on offer I expected to be impressed. Unfortunately, I was left disappointed. I had one cocktail from the main menu and it was a lot less fruity than I expected. It was essentially a weak tasting raspberry slush with an ice lolly thrown in. My friend and I then ordered discounted cocktails, both of which came with no presentation...just drinks in standard glasses...and we couldn’t taste any alcohol (and not in a good way). We were assured by the waitress that they each had two measures of alcohol. Either way, it was clear that they put a hell of a lot less effort into their discounted drinks. That being said, this bar is in a great location and the decor is great.

Its a super place if you want good food on a budget. You can get a meal there for £4.99, great value and I never leave hungry. They also do lunchtime drinks deals. They have Red bull sports TV playing on a loop, which is entertaining. Some times they take a while to server, but the staff are friendly and nice. My favorite is the fajitas!

We visited Candy Bar, George Street, Edinburgh for lunch as part of a celebration for a hen party this weekend. Great surroundings and we had lovely, well presented food, excellent and speedy service with very friendly, polite and knowledgeable staff, fab cocktails and an overall brilliant experience that I would recommend to anyone without hesitation. My only disappointment was ordering two proseccos at the bar which were advertised at £3 per glass on the table drinks menu. This did seem an excellent deal. However, proseccos poured, I was charged £12.00 and when I queried this, I was advised that it was the old price! Surely the price should be blanked out, changed or a new drinks menus printed. It didn't spoil the overall experience but as the price wasn't exorbitant, however it was disappointing. Please change your drinks menus which was a blip on an otherwise 5 star experience.

Candy bar in the summer has seating both outdoors and inside. The interior decor is pleasant and there are plenty of tables to choose from. There is a very good cocktail menu and the wine selection is okay. During the week and on Fridays there are always offers on cocktails and bottles of wine too. The food menu is actually very good and most of the main meals are under £5 which does not affect the quality of the meal you will get. I find Candy bar is a great place to catch up with friends as you won't be drowned out by music, this is always kept at a nice level. You will also get a decent meal and drinks at a very reasonable price.

Buzzing place that is totally nondescript from the outside, but it's nice and lively on the inside. Burgers are fantastic and the prices are unbeatable. It's just a bit loud inside and you need a reservation (otherwise you'll end up waiting 40+ minutes for a table when you pop in).

Ah, Candy Bar, I want to love you but I just can't. The service here is pretty rubbish, but the cheap food and decent cocktails keep me coming back. On the food menu, everything is under a fiver and, despite the small price tag, the food is actually pretty good. I usually opt for either the fajitas or a burger and have never been disappointed with my choice. The service, on the other hand, always leaves me disappointed. Whether it's a busy Friday night or an empty mid-week afternoon, the service is always incredibly slow and sometimes the staff seem to forget about orders completely. Once I popped in for a "quick bite and a couple of drinks" before moving on elsewhere, but had to cancel our plans as it took over half an hour for our first round of drinks to appear, never mind the food!

Candy bar is a nice little bar in the centre of Edinburgh, it has a good Tuesday night quiz and decent service. The food is cheap and you get what you pay for. That being said the cocktails are cheap and strong and usually amazing. If you come in here with high expectations for fine dining and amazing service you will be disappointed what you will find is decent food for good prices and a drink that will knock your socks off.

Definitely one for the younger crowd. Last time I went it was absolutely heaving and could barely get in the place and it's a mean feat trying to get to the bathroom, leave early to get through the crowd! The music (dance) was so loud you couldn't have a conversation without shouting. A place I would have loved late teens early twenties, but I'm too old for it now (30). My younger friends love it.

Not always the case that I remember a name but Ewen served me and my son when we were in over the Christmas period. He was very polite to use and made us feel right at home even though the place was very busy. I didnt even ask his name but overheard someone else say it. One of the other lads was also very friendly, I didnt get his name but he was tall and slim with lighter hair than Ewen. He recommended a drink to my son and his wife when they were umming and ahhhing with what to get. Had a great laugh in here even though it was mostly a younger crowd than what an old man like me would expect. Not in Edinburgh much but would return.

Interessante und besondere Getränke. Langsamer Service im Außenbereich. Wir haben uns für einen Tisch im Ausenbereich entschieden und Nachos und Haggis & Cheddar Bon Bons bestellt. Beides war sehr gut und lecker. Der Service im Außenbereich war nett aber etwas langsam. Lag aber vermutlich daran, dass viel los war und nur ein Mitarbeiter für den Außenbereich da war.
