Reviews of Chaophraya Thai Restaurant
G. H.
Had lunch here on Monday as a special birthday treat and it was really special. Stunning location on the roof terrace looking out over George Street and down Castle Street to the erm....Castle 🤣. I'd say in a city with a stunning view around every corner, the views from here are some of the best you'll find. It's certainly worth a visit for this reason alone, but everything else about the place is fantastic. Can't fault the food, amongst some of the tastiest I've eaten. My mouth is salivating just now thinking about it. Service was fast and friendly and our every need anticipated. I thought it was going to cost a fortune, but when the bill came I was surprised to see it was actually very reasonable. So that's excellent value for money thrown into the 5 star mix too. I can honestly say it's one of the best dining out experiences I've ever had. Can't wait to come back experience the views at night.

OMG. One of the modernest restaurants in Edinburgh with a gorgeous top floor lounge holding a decent 180 overlook view of the city. Great place for dating. Most cuisines are lit. Mango sticky rice is kinda reversed compared to usual Thai mango sticky rice (sweet rice and salty coconut sauce) but tasty as well. Very nice platter. Stir fires I would give 100/100 if I could!!!! I love the sauce so much. Pineapple fried rice is a must order. Though the Tom yum is not good or authentic. Overall 5 stars.

This is such a beautiful restaurant with gorgeous views of the Edinburgh castle in the background. It’s such a perfect place for a restaurant. The ambiance in the restaurant was perfect. We went at a time where there were not many people.
The restaurant’s decor was designed so well right form entering the restaurant. The customer service was amazing. All the staff were friendly. The guy that was serving was very helpful.
Don’t Even get me started on the food. From the starter to the main, everything was fantastic. The food was not spicy but there was so much flavour in every bite. The portions were all decent size too and quite filling.
If you love Thai food, this is the place for your to try.

I did the cooking Thai class at Chaophraya with my wife. Stephen was a really good host. Everything was incredible. Not only we learned a lot but also had fun. Tum, the chef, was one of a kind too! so friendly and professional, he's a total pro. Both of them were doing jokes which made the time go so quick. They are such a nice people and Chaopraya Edinburgh should be really proud of having them in their team. I will definitely do a Thai cooking class again and recommend it to all my contacts!
We tried Chaophraya before and it was delicious. Having tried in our own hands all the ingredients and the dishes we cooked we are even more in love with the restaurant.

The best thai food in Edinburgh with amazing views to the castle. Perfect place for a girls reunion or a romantic date ❤️ The cocktails are fab and the staff is adorable. I will come back for sure :D

Fancy busy Thai restaurant, with excellent views of Edinburgh City.
Had the extravagant Celebratory menu, which brought plenty of food! Lovely cocktails.
Excellent venue for special occasions.

Fantastic food and incredible view of the castle from your table
K. W.
Beautiful venue and great view of Edinburgh Castle, our waitress was also lovely and attentive. The food was nice, however not good value for money. Especially the Chaophraya starter, £11 per head is too much for what you’re actually served.
K. L.
Chaophraya definitely worths the hype. A rooftop Thai restaurant with full height glazing offering the beautiful views of Edinburgh - for our visit we had a table overlooking George Street.
We ordered the pork spare ribs as starter which was well marinated and grilled. For mains, the red curry with roast duck was impressive - the sauce tasted Thai authentic and the meat was surprisingly tender (so far I found it’s not easy to have tender chicken / duck in Edinburgh lol), and it was a bit unusual to find strawberry in a Thai curry dish (not the best match imo), anyway that strawberry was really sweet. And we had the crispy chicken with cashew nuts as well which was simply well fried and delicious, and the sauce tasted a bit like that for Kung Pao chicken.
The Thai-inspired cocktails were great too and everything came with a good portion. It is still good value for money considering the whole restaurant setting.
M. A.
Outstanding customer service. Arrived earlier than the booking time and they happily accommodated. Manager switched a starter option to accommodate for dietary requirements. Food and drinks were really good (defo more on the fusion side) and overall a good atmosphere!

Really lovely meal. Great food and reasonable price. The location is ideal and I loved the views of the castle. Would visit again.
J. S.
Beautiful location, staff and food. We say where we had the castle just outside the window. The food was absolutely amazing! We will now need to try the Newcastle one.
D. R.
Very nice meal, different dishes to the run of the mill Thai restaurants. Only one complaint, the extention part where we were sitting (which we did ask for) only seems to have one setting on the heaters, burn your head if you sit under it, or freeze if you dont.
A. F.
Gorgeous meal and food is so tasty. Staff are really attentive and friendly too! Would definitely recommend
C. W.
Absolutely great food, staff were very friendly and had honoured our request for a castle-view table. Food was tasty and the birthday cake was a lovely addition. Would highly recommend.
N. S.
Lovely experience in a wonderfully situated restaurant. The views from the restaurant are lovely, seeing different parts of Edinburgh based on where you are sat.
The meat dishes were well cooked and the mains had good portion sizes. The chocolate bombe dessert was a lovely end to the meal.
J. M.
Nice food, a little too spicy. Our waitress was a little confused, maybe she was new as she didn’t know what was inside the dishes. They changed our Aperol Spritz as the bartender didn’t add aperol? 🙃
R. H.
Lovely views, starter was to die for! The main was also good, but quite aromatic so I found it quite strong after a while. Amazing views!

If there is a restaurant that we would definitely visit again when we are back in Edinburgh, it’s Chaophraya! A restaurant that manages to elevate Thai cuisine yet remains grounded to the roots of Thai culture.
First things first, as soon as you walk in, you would notice its grand interiors. Chic, but not extravagant. Stylish but homey. The atmosphere is just bursting with smiles from staff and guests alike. And if you think that’s it… wait till you are seated on seats with spectacular views of the city!
It’s worth mentioning (again) that the staff are lovely. They are attentive to our needs and welcoming.
To say that their food tastes good is an understatement. It’s different. It’s something more. Perhaps, mind blowing. With flavors that lingers in your palate even after you leave - stimulating a craving that makes my mouth water just by writing this review. (And quite literally because we were burping Thai curry hours after we ate our lunch). We ordered one of their set menus. Truly worth the price. With an array of equally delicious appetisers, followed by sumptuous main meals. Every bite ticks the box of every thai food lovers.
This review isn’t enough to convey the tastes that Chaophraya brings to the table. But I am certain that it’s worth trying it yourself!
Now I’m left wishing that I could try the rest of their menu. Kòp kun kráp!
H.
Absolutely incredible, the staff were warm and friendly and very attentive. The food was excellent, I can't say enough how good it was, hopefully I can come back soon!

What we had
Sharing starters for two: spring rolls, prawn tempura, chicken satay. Highlight was duck salad £22
Wasn’t a fan or tortilla in all honesty.
I would’ve preferred Thai crab cakes within my sharing starters but this was not an option so ordered separately £7.60
That Green curry. This was excellent £14
King prawn Pad Thai £12
Waiting staff were very friendly.
Overall we really enjoyed our meals & will certainly be coming back.
J. C.
Food was absolutely delicious. Views across the city were amazing. Will definitely recommend and return.
We shared a selection of, Papaya Salad, Prawn Tempura, Chicken Satay and Spring Rolls.
Green Thai Curry, Chicken Pad Thai, Duck Tamarind and King Prawn Pineapple Fried Rice.
Mango Sticky Rice.
A. T. M.
Food was fantastic, view was gorgeous. Sat in the outdoor terrace with Castle views - wow! Pad Thai was fantastic and the portion was very generous. Cocktails were nice, but could have done with them being a bit stronger for the price that you pay for them. Staff were also great.
J. R.
Stunning restaurant. Booked a table on the balcony for lunch and a beautifully sunny day in Edinburgh. Was definitely the place to be as the food and cocktails were amazing. We had a selection of starters the papaya salad and pork skewers were a highlight and duck tamarind and weeping tiger sirloin for main. All the food was delicious and well presented. The cocktails were outstanding, an amazing selection and we tried quite a few, the jungle bird and coconut key lime were my faves. Love the restaurant and can't wait for our next visit.
L. B.
Very disappointed by the service. The food was great but we waited 45 minutes for our bottle of champagne as it wasn't kept cold (and even when it arrived, it wasn't cold enough). The service was not very attentive and we had to ask for new napkins and forks and for the heaters to be put on in the outside area. Not the service and experience we were expecting from such a well established high end place.
I. T.
Beautiful setting, delicious well presented food, very attentive staff.
Will definitely return next time we are in Edinburgh.
Great place to eat.
A. I.
really nice location and very good prices for a swanky place. enjoyed our meal. specially the platter. portions were quite generous too
J. M.
Good food , great service.had a mixed starter to start with then just picked several main courses between 4 of us

It's a great atmosphere to dine at the Chaophraya Thai Restaurant, the decorations, the people, the yummilicious Thai foods and awesome cocktails made the overall experience feeling so wonderful. Clean and spaces table setting during COVID-19 will make every dine in guests feeling safe and comfortable.
A. I.
Such a lovely sophisticated restaurant to visit with delicious food. Booked this for an anniversary trip to Scotland with my husband and it did not disappoint. The kind waiter Callum (his first day bless him - he was so polite) made a note to make our dishes spicy just how we like it. I went for the Seafood Udon Noodles and he went for the Thai Basil Fried Rice and they were yum! I would recommend the Guava Colada mocktail for those who don't drink and the classic chocolate fondant pudding was just perfect. We really appreciated the 30% off the food bill for emergency services too!

Fantastic food and incredible view of the castle from your table
D. L.
Went here for my birthday celebration and WOW everything about it was perfect 😍 friendly, helpful staff and delicious food served quickly. A great atmosphere will definitely go again. Thank you Chaophraya team!
J. B.
Really great evening. The food was top notch. Best Thai food I've had in the UK. Go for the Thai Red curry I highly reccomend it. The staff were brilliant and the views of Edinburgh Castle altogether make it one of the best places I've been for dinner 👌👌👌
G. O.
Beautiful place to eat!!
Food was great and sevice was exceptional.
Expensive but well worth it
R. D.
I love Chaophraya. Easily my favourite Thai restaurant around right now, even when you account for Try Thai in Manchester. And we all know how good that is.
Traditional menu with a modern twist; I love the pad Thai in particular.
Popular. Better book.
Start the parade though. You’ll celebrate this one.
S. E.
Most authentic Thai food I've had in Scotland. Delicious, great service, great atmosphere. Will be back.
L.
Place is very beautiful, beautiful views.
The food was lovley although next time I will try something different.
A. W.
Excellent staff serving a party of 16 from all over the world did a great friendly job. This is top notch Thai food and with a drinks list that goes on and on. Can I recommend the Italian gin all'arancia with plain tonic? Yes I can. Thanks for a fab & fun evening.
K. L.
Amazing dishes. Great flavours and so fresh!
R.
Excellent food, service and location. Views across the Edinburgh skyline were stunning. The waitress was very attentive but discreet. Food was delicious. A great range of dishes. I had the sharing platter with a friend as a starter and the range of items was generous and the prawns melted in your mouth. Main course of seafood and udon noodles was also expertly cooked. A couple of hiccups with one person meal were quickly rectified. Finished off with sorbet which were rich in flavour. Others in our group had a variety of dishes and all of them were delicious and good sized portions. Will definitely arrange another meal out here.
J. S.
Amazing restaurant. We are not an easy family to feed. Vegans, vegetarians, meat-eaters, a coeliac and me, veggie with allergies to all buts, coconut and seeds, yet they managed to not only feed us and avoid killing me, but it was so delicious. Unreal.
It's our new favourite when we visit Edinburgh.
A. M.
Wonderful friendly staff. Food out of this world. Views of Edinburgh Castle. Only given 4 stars as toilets are only ok.
T. h.
Fantastic experience start to finish.
Shared plater to start was just the right amount of food, mains were cooked perfectly.
Great service, amazing views and a cocktail menu work checking out
C. K.
Overall we were disappointed. We ordered the Tom ka soup, chicken satay, paid Thai and beef Penang. Worst Tom ka soup we ever had. Basically just sour coconut milk, left alot to be desired. The satay was average while the pad Thai was overly sweet. The only dish we enjoyed was the Penang. Nice atmosphere though with good views.
C. C.
Fabulous food, amazing drinks and attentive staff. Brilliant evening!
C. N.
The food was very nice. But the service was a wee bit underwhelming unfortunately, took several attempts to wave a table server down on multiple occasions.
The mango and sweet rice dessert was very good!
J. M.
Superb dining experience. Lovely food, great service and the ambience was just right. Dropped a star because the gents restroom had no soap or toilet roll at the end of the evening - not good enough at this level.
B. M.
Amazing food, great wine. Service was brilliant! Would definitely recommend.
C. M.
Very authentic Thai cuisine. Food and waitress service excellent but management skills seriously lacking!
After spending the afternoon celebrating a family birthday we were asked to vacate our table with only 5 mins notice in an empty restaurant .
C. O. D.
An incredible dinning experience. Nothing to fault, the staff went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable, happy and well fed. The food was beautiful. I’ll be running back
C. P.
Really enjoyed our evening. Food and drink was great. Can recommend the sharing pallet to start 👌
J. T.
Wow! Such amazing food and the staff are just so lovely and friendly! The setting is great too!
J. C.
We went for a late lunch/early dinner so we could catch sundown and see the castle and town with all the lights. We were dining with a 2 year old which can be daunting. But the staff were all so friendly and welcoming and could not have done more to make the meal enjoyable.
R. M.
The positives are, excellent service, lovely view, and we spotted a celebrity. Downside was that it was dark so tricky to read the menu, noisy (due to no soft furnishings) and not much for veggies if you don't like tofu. The biggest disappointment for me though was everything I ordered was sweet. Maybe Thai's not for me.
G.
Visited on a weeknight and the restaurant was very busy and clearly popular. Staff were incredibly attentive, and I was given some of the best service I've experienced in a restaurant in recent memory. The food arrived quickly and each course was a feast for the eyes and taste buds. Will definitely be back.
G. K.
Had an excellent meal. The restaurant was really busy but it did not deflect from the excellent service which was provided by friendly and efficient waiting staff. A special thank you to the manager who fixed a problem I had with vouchers.
K. H.
The food was delicious and the presentation was excellent, the service was a little on the lax side where the waiter didn't replace our cutlery and there was some delay in getting the bill.
The staff were very friendly though and I would recommend this place to anyone who loves Thai food or is wanting to try it.
The decor was brilliant with the large illuminated fish tank and the stature around the restaurant gave it a great ambience. The view from the balcony was great as well (though only one side can see the castle).
R. D.
I visited on the 24th of March and immediately I was impressed by the decor and atmosphere of the place. I arrived an hour and a half early with a friend and we opted to sit at the bar and order many drinks before our meal which was delicious. I want to personally commend the bartender, Callum and a member of the staff Danny for going the extra mile to make the trip a memorable one. Suggesting drinks, conversing and fufulling every drink request on and off the menu as well as putting great spins on classics that I really enjoyed. I really had a wonderful time and spent 5 hours total before leaving. I absolutely will be back in the future.
A. G. P.
Lovely food, very friendly service. Will visit again when we are visiting Scotland again.
J. E.
A lovely setting with nice views, pleasant staff, and ice cold draught Thai beer. The food however, was a little disappointing for the price, especially compared to my previous visit 7 years earlier. The meat in my lamb massaman curry had obviously been scorched on a roasting tray or something, so there were bits of hard, inedible bits of black, burnt lamb amongst the curry meat. The potatoes were also undercooked and almost raw.
Beware of the menu pricing too. The starter course menu shows a "sharing platter for two", clearly priced in large clear print, but in tiny print in a different, faint colour, it says.."per person' Also, in tiny print at the bottom of the menu it says.."a discretionary service charge of 10% will be added to the bill" These menu pricing tricks not only left a sour taste in the mouth, they resulted in a larger bill than had been expected.
L. N.
Food was superb, staff were attentive, the restaurant looked great and had a good atmosphere
P. P.
Nice Thai food in Scotland. It is a modern decoration restaurant with a good view because the restaurant is on the 3rd floor. The food is on a salty side for our Thai people. Everyone in our group said it was salty. Considering it is a Thai restaurant in Scotland, it is good Thai food for people here. The staffs and service were very nice and friendly. Food came by fast and had all the Thai variety dishes for you to choose.
N. H.
Had a fantastic time at Chaophraya. The menu has vastly improved since the last year. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Hats off to the Bar tender, really helped us to decide what to go for, and made the best cocktails we have ever had in Edinburgh. They had our table ready before we came as well. With a great selection of drinks and authentic Thai dishes was worth spending time here.
D. S.
First time visiting - good food and good service but i could have had a better version of my main dish for less money at Wagamama. And don't order the ted sakarn jay sharing platter - I ordered it because I saw a good review about it and, thinking it was £10 between us I thought it was good. Then realised when the bill came it was £10 per person so £20 overall which really felt like a rip off
S. B.
With the Christmas bubble and travel restrictions tightening in Scotland, what better reason for us to indulge (and drown our sorrows...) than to try a luxurious takeaway from Chaophraya, and all from the comfort of our own home!
We ordered: Chaophraya Platter for two people, Chicken Pad Thai, Prawn Thai Red Curry, and coconut rice.
The taste of each mouthful was so fresh and delicious, it brought back memories of us trying out street food during our 2017 trip around Thailand. Judging by the meal we had, the owners certainly haven't lost their passion for producing mouthwatering food and you can truly taste the authentic Thai flavours and ingredients in every single dish they make.
We can't wait to return and hopefully be able to dine in the restaurant in the new year!

Amazing food. Good options for vegeterians . Excellent service . Good location .
W. S.
Recommended Chicken tom yum, Khua Kling, Yum Ped Grob and Mango sticky rice for dessert. I am Thai and It's been so long since I taste Thai food in the UK this good! Thank you for very good service, definitely will go back again soon.
J. A.
Nice friendly atmosphere, nice food and good views from the glass walled restaurant

Classic, elegant Thai cuisine. Fantastic views of Edinburgh Castle and surrounds. Generous portions, superbly cooked and presented. Friendly and attentive staff. Reasonably priced, with some attractive options on the set menus. A delightful dining experience in the heart of Edinburgh.
S.
The restaurant got an amazing athmosphere really magic , every deatils are well studied , large rooms beautiful fruniture and statues. Beautiful views of castle and Edinburgh , possibility to stay out even if it's raining as it's a glass balcony. Would have love to eat out side as it was a very warm day and glasses make heat worst but they were not doing table service in the terrace , a shame. The food was delicious and well presented. Coctails and drink amazing. The service was excellent the witress was costantly coming at the table to top up water and remove dirty dishes. The price was also fair and not to much expensive. Love it.
C. S.
We spent celebrating our wedding anniversary here, food amazing, drinks and cocktails amazing and staff too.
P. H.
Amazing Thai restaurant!
The food was delicious and authentic. We had a plate with 6 different starters which were all excellent, so were both of our main dishes. There is a huge roof terrace on two sides, which is a winter garden with a great view.
M. A.
Great food with a great view if you can get seated on the terrace.
J. C.
By far my favourite Restaurant in Edinburgh. They have the most fantastic setting on the Roof top and the Service is outstanding .
Food will exceed expectations as it looks so colourful and vibrant is fresh and tasty and well proportioned.
They have a great wine selection and also a separate Lunch menu where you can enjoy several courses for a set price.
You will not be disappointed. Chaophraya is a must Visit Thai Restaurant in Edinburgh . Make sure you book in advance as they are always busy .
M. N. M.
Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, great food 😊
C. W.
Very Westernised Thai food, and very overpriced.
Food:
It's slightly above average. The platter starter were nice. But nothing else too impressive.
Atmosphere:
The top attraction is the view however you should consider yourself very lucky to get seats overlooking the castle. If you don't get the castle seats, then it just looks like what you can see from your own flat's window.
It was very loud overall, despite the area is very large. Maybe because the knife there is not ideal for cutting some meals so I can hear the knife screeching from the tables around us.
Also just for your information, Budda sculptures doesn't mean exotic atmosphere 🤣
Overall:
You can get better food and experience by that price.
M. x.
Excellent dinner
First visit for a long time and the service and food were excellent, nice place really busy but plenty attentive staff
All good 👍
L. C.
Food and service was really good and the restaurant is in a fantastic location. A service charge is added to the bill there were only 2 of us.
A. A.
January discounted prices. Good food. The platter for 2 was actually 10 pound per person which took us by surprise. While the sharing platter was nice, it is bit expensive for it to be the price it is per person. Otherwise experience was nice
N.
An excellent experience at this prominent Thai chain in the north of the UK.
You'll want to book ahead of time if you want to eat here because you can reserve a table that allows for stunning views across Edinburgh in three directions - perfect for a crucial business meeting or to impress a date.
The staff here greet you in the Thai language and create a feeling of Thai authenticity in their welcoming customs. Service was prompt and mostly accurate. There was a slip-up in the kitchen between a Chocolate Box and a Chocolate Bombe for dessert; we ended up getting the latter which was a small spectacle to behold so we didn't mind and it didn't change the bill.
The Pad Thai is a little on the sweet side but decent with good noodles. The taco in the starters was smaller than expected but enough for two people.
Overall, with the ambience, service, food and that spectacular view taken into account, this place comes highly recommended.
A.
Amazing Thai food. First time in Edinburgh and first night out. Few people including the hotel concierge recommended this restaurant. However, I was very skeptical how good the place could be, given the fact I travel to Thailand frequently for work. Well I was quiet surprised. I was also surprised by the great service, not European AT ALL. Very attentive staff, and when there was a small hiccup with my order it was dealt with quickly and professionally. I will definitely be coming back here, And I would urge anyone considering coming here to do so, such a beautiful restaurant with a phenomenal view of the castle. Make sure you make reservations as the restaurant gets packed quick.

So we are HUGE fans of the sister restaurant of the same name in Glasgow and have been meaning to try out the Edinburgh site for a very long time.
Well tonight we finally managed it! Overall we had a very pleasant evening and were not unhappy with the experience. That said, we did feel that it fell short of the Glasgow site. The wine we chose was not available, the Pad Thai was unbelievably bland and when your waitress opens your dessert menu with apologies that four desserts on the small list are not available then you are left with the distinct impression that things are somewhat overstretched at this clearly popular restaurant.
The rooftop location is great if not a little hot at times. Staff are very pleasant though clearly under pressure. Everything just felt a little manic at times and not at all similar to what we normally experience in Glasgow.
A little disappointed.......
J. W.
The best Thai I’ve ever had. The shared platter starter was amazing and the Penang beef curry had me salivating (like I am now thinking about it) shame we didn’t get one of the epic window seats. But booked last minute and you can’t have it all. Waiter was on point. Would go back!
D. Y.
10 out of 10. Excellent customer service and presentation of the delicious food. Staff was amazing and took pride in what they do. Was asked if we were enjoying our meal and was not intrusive. This Chaophraya was so much better than the Birmingham branch. Thank you Chaophraya Edinburgh for a wonderful dining experience
y. K.
A lovely roof top restaurant, wasnt too impressed with my starter which was fish cakes, they were quite chewy and the flavour wasnt great. My main was a green thai curry with coconut rice, it was very flavourful and delicious.
3. C. G.
Great food, lovely welcome and service, and fantastic view if you get in the glass area.
M. J.
Absolutely brilliant! Lovely restaurant with fantastic service and amazing food!
N. M.
Bit dark, very noisy and cramped atmosphere - not to the standards of their Leeds or Birmingham restaurants. Food was Ok, but I have to admit I tried something I wouldn't usually try and therfore maybe that's why I wasn't too impressed? I'd go again.... But not in a hurry.
C. D.
A fantastic restaurant, have been several times. The staff are fantastic and the food is amazing x
J. K.
Went for breakfast with a voucher and enjoyed the food so much we tried the coconut pancakes as well as pan eggs and smashed avocado and poached eggs. Loved the white ginger pear tea too. Everyone mentions the location and the service as excellent and we agree. It is not an obvious place to go to when walking along the street but it is worth the trip up in the lift even just to look.
Y.
Nicely decorated rooftop restaurant, shame the day we went in for meal was raining and dark. But the food has good flavours, and certainly good to see a variety of Thai food on menu - especially the pineapple fried rice which is pretty tasty!
G. G.
Crowdy and fancy thai restaurant! The establishment is really cool and the staff is kind and efficient. The views from the terrace are stunning, recommend to reserve a table there.
The rice with pinapple and the pad thai noodles are really good and tasty.
The price is fair.
D. A.
A bit pricey but excellent service and food. Great views if you get the right seats.
G. T.
Can't fault it , even in these difficult times they continue to serve up the most amazing food , quality , service and the most pleasant atmosphere you could wish for..... 5 * isn't enough..👏👏👏
N. B. P. l. (.
Excellent menu although a little more expensive than we would normally look to pay . However it was worth it. Plus from our original wobbly table near the kitchen, the staff managed to get us moved, on a Saturday afteenoon/ early evening to a window table overlooking the city which improved the experience immensely and was much appreciated.
A. G.
One of the best restaurants with a view of the castle. It is a very fancy place but not too expensive. I was quite surprised at how affordable it was given its location and the quality of food. The staff are very kind and friendly.
B. A.
Fantastic place to eat. The service is brilliant and the food is delicious. With views along George street and a fantastic view of the castle the atmosphere is great. It's quite often busy so a good idea to book a table, but you can often get a table if you just turn up.
I would definitely recommend this place if you're a fan of Thai food as it's always great quality and freshly made.
J. L.
This place is simply amazing!! Beautiful view, stylish interior, very friendly staff and the best Thai food I ever had! You should book a table if you want to have a place at the window :-)
a. h.
If you are feeling like eating thai food in Edinburgh, this is place to go. Great location, courteous staff and authentic food. They have a great both set menus and al la carte. Place is huge so you will get a place to sit. Would definitely visit again
R. G.
Great food, honest prices and cozy atmosphere. You have to try the tasting menu, it’s delicious!
G. M.
Easily my favourite in Edinburgh. It was the perfect spot for my graduation dinner. The food is very flavourful and never disappoints. Excellent atmosphere and decoration. Sophisticated dining but without compromising on Thai flavour.
V. M.
Food was delicious. You really fell taking care off. Nice toilets for ladies. The view was nice even if we wasn't on the castle side. Good vibe. Acceptable prices.
N. N.
Awesome food, banging Phad Thai, very reasonably priced
C. C.
The place is gorgeous and the staff was really friendly and helpful. The food was divide!
I was really pleased with the choice and was lucky enough to get a table with beautiful views to the Edinburgh Castle. Absolutely stunning!
Definitely recommend
M. C.
The view is magnificent. Food was delicious.
However the service was slightly disappointing. We weren't asked how we'd like the food to be served when the waitress took the order. Suddenly, all food appeared all at once. The table wasn't that big, there was just enough space to put all plates but wasn't big enough to eat comfortably. Obviously the food became cold quickly especially with the air con on. In addition, our waitress didn't clean the table and offer dessert menu after clearing the plates. When we asked another member of staff for the dessert menu, she ended up cleaning our table for her colleague.
F. B. (.
Nice atmosphere and decor. Tasty food, attentive staff and great views over Edinburgh.
R. M.
Amazing staff, food was out fast and tasted amazing and good cocktails
A. B.
Beautiful food. Highly recommended. Lovely staff who all work very hard but disappointed that we were put at the side of the restaurant that had no one in. Would have preferred a view of the castle as there didn't seem to be be full tables that side.
J. C.
Both me and my wife came here as part of our mini-moon. I haven't been a great fan of Thai food in general but coming here and eating amazing food has now changed my mind. The staff in the restaurant were all amazing and the service was brilliant. We dealt with Michael from booking and he was a pleasure to deal he couldn't have been more helpful. He done everything we asked him to do.
A. W.
Incredibly nice food, stunning view and location with friendly and attentive staff
A. Z.
I loved the food! I had tai red curry and my love tai green curry. The duck (halal!!! Yeay!!!!) Was also amazing!!!! And the view... fantastic. What a great evening we spent for eid al-adha!
C. H.
I loved this restaurant because it is so classy and the staff was so attentive and friendly while the prices were cheap and more than reasonable for the amount of delicious food each dish brought.
They have some areas with great views to the Castle and they are always booked up so make sure to make a reservation online or you might wait around 45’-1h to get a table.
P. B.
Very attentive staff, this is probably why they add a 10% service charge directly to your bill. Food very good and reasonably priced. Quite concerned at the lax Covid restrictions. A lot of customers walking around without a mask!
A. M.
Lovely views out on the covered terrace but it’s Scotland so its chilly even with heaters on. Sitting with coats round us. Had a bit of a wait for a table even though it was really quiet which was strange.
The staff are efficient and the food was fine.
Its rather expensive (that’ll be for the setting) and 10% extra is dumped on your bill until you notice it’s optional. (We got the wrong bill, as did the table next to us) Maybe if staff were paid a proper wage then customers wouldn’t have to shell out extra when its already expensive.
There is also an optional £1 charity donation but no explanation as to what charity or who benefits !! 🤔
Thats the 1st we have been in there.
Nice.. but hey ho.. move on.. a tad lighter in the pocket.
D. M.
Great place for a fancy evening meal with the better half. We managed to get a table in the glass rooftop room so had a panoramic view of Edinburgh Castle! Food was fantastic, can’t fault it. We splurged a little, so our meal was around £90 in total for two, but was well worth it. You could eat here much cheaper. Would recommend.
z.
very elegant and fancy place with an amazing view of the castle!! The food was delicious, especially the tasting platter for starters:)
S. W.
Great thai food with an excellent atmosphere and friendly staff!
J. M.
Friendly, helpful, welcoming staff. Freshly cooked delicious food. Recommended
D. W.
A lovely space, great views , excellent food and very friendly, polite and helpful staff. I would highly recommend and will definitely be back!
S. M.
One of a handful of rooftop restaurants in Edinburgh, Chaophraya is a gem. Booking definitely required, especially if you want to sit in the covered terrace area which boasts views of the Castle and George Street. The food itself is amazing, with a lot of choices for vegetarians. Beautiful setting. Service can be a little slow, however.
A. F.
Really really good, very cool venue and beef curry was delicious. It was really busy for a Monday night too which is a great sign.
J. L. M.
Delicious and filling dinner in a beautiful rooftop location with stunning views of the castle. There was a mix of service, one waitor forgot to bring us a drinks order, but another was very attentive and checked back to see if we were happy. The food itself was brilliant, though.
I. B.
Delicious. Can't say more really. If you can get a table with a view or make it more special. Not cheap, but worth it.
S. S.
Great food, nice chill vibe, Service was a little disappointing. Food came before our drink, spilled food on my table and didn’t bother to clean it
L. W.
Food was absolutely fantastic. I would definitely recommend
S. C.
Excellent choice on the menu, something for everyone. The quality of the food, staff and atmosphere made a great choice for our night out. I would definitely go here again and would recommend it.
D. F.
Lovely food and reasonabley priced.
P. C.
Everything was delicious! Especially the duck. The skin was so crispy.
b. c.
Lovely meal at a lovely restaurant, great place for some rooftop photography as well.
Staff were very polite and friendly. All in all a great dining experience.
H. C.
Beautiful food, amazing setting and wonderful service. However diners were allowed to smoke on the uncovered roof top and this drifted into the restaurant. Both my friend and I are non-smokers and find eating in this environment deeply unpleasant. Sadly my friend returned with a large party and had a very poor experience, not least because they initially suggested a table next to the smoking section and when she refused they then placed them outside a very noisy kitchen despite the fact that she had made the booking 6 weeks in advance.
A. _.
The food was excellent. The service could have been better. The waiter who picked our orders, etc was very friendly.
However... I booked a table three weeks in advance. I asked if we could get one of the tables with the view. The waitress responsible for the bookings said there were no tables available. We were instead sat nearby the kitchen. Not even in the other nice extra room they have. She claimed it was because we hadn't booked early enough.
A couple who arrived just before us without any reservation were sat next to us only to be moved to a table with a view in 10min.
This also happened to another couple.
Therefore I am quite frustrated and will not return.
N. R.
Our favourite restaurant. Lovely food, drinks and the staff are so nice
A. M.
Went for a birthday dinner with my friend and couldn't have asked for a better nicer experience. Amazing food and views. Lovely staff and fantastic cocktails!
L. R.
Amazing food, amazing cocktails best view of the castle while eating, go at sunset. I had the duck and my wife had the beef extra spicey. It was one of the hilights of our trip. Highly recommended 👍👍👍
L. H.
Absolutely beautiful food and friendly service and a great atmosphere definitely highly recommended a must go to enjoy.
R. I.
Beautiful food Elle was a fantastic waitress so attentive!! Great service
J. R.
absolutely wonderful staff and great customer service. one of my best meals out with girlfriend
T. A.
Authentic Thai cuisine; nice ambience, friendly service. Tried Papaya salad (5*), Tomkhai soup (5*), green curry, sticky mango rice.
M. M.
Perfect experience over the rooftops of Edinburgh. With the sun shining in, spot on! Nice staff, good selection and really tasty food. Fish and curry were both perfect. Though very subjective the mid spicy curry was exactly my sweet spot regarding spicyness. The herbs and sauces are very well selected, highlz recommended. Prices are on a good level based on what you get, in my opinion.
R. M.
Honestly the best Thai food that I have had outside of Thailand, well done,
would recommend.
C. B.
Excellent customer service and very nice meal. Soup was quite hot and spicy. The curry was great.
C. L.
Nice food and cocktails, INCREDIBLE views of castle and forth, worth a visit.
D. O. D.
Great selection of vegetarian food, particularly the sharing platter. Only downside was the staff forgot our desserts
M. O.
Absolutely amazing food. Delicious wine and a great ambience. If you can get the glass room you get a beautiful view of the castle. We had a waiter named Daniel who was attentive and friendly. Definitely will come again.
M. T. L.
Excellent views. Fantastic staff. Really nice food and great selection. Would go again.
B. N.
This restaurant is a real gem, beautiful surroundings, wonderful food and great service.
G. A. F.
My wife and I had a lovely experience and meal at Chaophraya in Edinburgh. The online booking service was very easy. The meet and greet at the door and service at the table was all very nice and well managed. We had the tasting menu and it was lovely, lots to eat and each dish was a different flavour and texture. We would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant for a great experience and meal. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
S. M.
Very tasty soups and delicious Pad Thai. We enjoyed a wonderful view on Edinburgh Castle while eating our dinner.
L. N.
We have been to this restaurant a few times and would normally give five stars but this was our anniversary and my birthday and we asked to move tables. The reason for this being that despite the lovely view onto George Street, the window had a very large bird mess at eye level. Our request was very quickly declined and because it was a special occasion I didn’t want to make a fuss otherwise we would have left. Thanks for the congratulations and cake and otherwise good service but it has put me off your restaurant.
A. B.
Best Thai I have had in my life - amazing views of the castle, lovely atmosphere. Inside is very posh, clean and tidy. I requested outdoor seating with views of the castle. My partner & I had chicken satay for the starter which was the best satay I have had! We then shared Thai Green Curry & Chicken Black Bean for main - both dishes were amazing! Staff very polite, friendly and helpful.
G. P.
Been here a good few times now and every visit has been fantastic! Great looking restaurant with very welcoming and friendly staff and the food is truly amazing. Tonight there was a new menu which was great and as usual we were not disappointed!! I would recommend Chaophraya to anyone!!!
A. Z.
Amazing dinner with an amazing view! And the staff is super nice?
I. A.
A great place for a nice evening. Very elegant, with delicious food and excellent service. You might not get to view the castle as the spaces are limited, but you still have a nice atmosphere to enjoy your meal.
B. G.
Fantastic restaurant. My first visit. The food was amazing. Will def be back.
B. M.
Great food, superb service, amazing views and overall a fantastic experience.
N. B.
The views you get from the glass box at this restaurant are probably the best of any eatery in Edinburgh.
As far as the food goes, it's a decent standard. You will find a couple of better Thai restaurants in Edinburgh, but the views here give it the edge.
Beer could have been colder and fresher, but overall a great dining experience.
E. B.
superb food, friendly and helpful staff, we will be coming back 😊
H. K.
Very tasty food. Delightful staff. Amazing views - try to get seats in "the box" for views of the castle. Simply stunning.
G. L.
Amazing castle view but book well ahead. The other rooms are lovely also, food is amazing although last time our curry wasn’t very spicy and lacked salt (been there many times and this was a first). Recommend the experience.
C. B.
Amazing food - friendly service. Think curry's should really come with some rice when you're paying ~> £15 for a main.
L.
We really enjoyed our visit to Chaophraya, a present from a friend. The Thai fish cakes were amazing and the sea bass with vegetables and Thai noodles were wonderful. We would definitely recommend Chaophraya and will definitely be back again 😀
M. O.
Food was good but we have expected a wow effect....
E. Y.
Used to be 5☆ for service and food and I would recommend but now not so. Expensive for food and drinks so expect a level of service for that and food to be good. Starters were ok but mains a big let down. Service disappeared so we didn't have sweets or coffee. No one checked or said thanks/goodbye
T. M.
Excellent food, with varied menu with plenty of choices and accommodating for all tastes. Only downside is that the set menus are for minimum of two people. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff.
S.
Fantastic food, Fantastic view, Fantastic staff, you just have to eat here.
S. B.
One of the best Thai meals I've ever eaten - here or in Thailand itself
V. S.
Food was great and the cocktails are a must - particularly the coconut key lime cocktail!
A.
Super classy place with a stunning bunch of staff. Most importantly the food, we both loved it!
N. V. K.
Very tasty Thai food, we had the massaman lamb curry and a green chicken curry, They both were very good! For starters we shared sweet corn cakes, which were crunchy and flavourful
One thing we didn't appreciate was the absence of rice with the dishes, which you have to order separately, making the dishes slightly more expensive than they seem.
j. e.
Absolutely the best Thai meal I have ever had and quite possibly the best meal in the nicest setting I have ever had. Brilliant service, can't rate it high enough. Will definitely be going back, the next time I am in Edinburgh.
F. C.
It’s a lovely restaurant with authentic Thai food. Highly recommend the crispy pork belly with Thai basil!
D. E.
Roof top restaurant with stunning views of Edinburgh. Scrupulously clean and COVID-19 secure. Beautifully decorated. Professional friendly and knowledgeable staff. Fantastic fresh food, generous portions and lovenly prepared. Alcohol, soft drinks and the coffee is just how I like it 👌. Go in try it out you won't be disappointed and it won't break your bank account.
B.
First time came to this restaurant for my birthday was really surprisingly wonderful. I love the food, the spice has the right amount I was looking for👌🏻 very attentive staffs, lovely cocktail and wine as well! Maybe expensive but it well worth for a special occasion and have a great memory! Xx
C. G.
Excellent food and service! Amazing views!
B. F.
Wonderful gem in the city centre. Excellent food, great staff and wonderful views!
S. M.
Great food, lovely staff, great place to eat. Highly recommended.
J. C.
Been here before about a year ago and the food is amazing. Flavour packed into every bite. You do have to like Thai food though.
s. s.
Neo served us and was extremely polite drinks were kept topped up and made sure we enjoyed our meal. He made sure to check when we were ready for our main course which not many people do. Neo is an asset to the restaurant. The food was unbelievable and the service was even better. 100% would come again
R. B.
Amazing Food ,. Amazing staff and beautiful view of the Edinburgh Castle .
L. K.
Beautiful view, delicious food, outstanding service.
J. G.
Superb view on Edinburgh and the Firth of Forth, great indoor decoration, excellent food & drinks. Staff is very polite and welcoming. Chaophraya is sophisticated but never pretentious - excellent for a lovely evening out!
M. H.
Great rooftop restaurant with Good food, nice atmosphere and great views over Edinburgh.
K. H.
The restaurant is stunning and food is banging, perfect for special occasions
G. D.
We have eaten at their Glasgow restaurant and this is just as good. Lovely food, courteous and efficient staff and amazing location on the roof of the building. Simply superb.
R. C.
First visit and won’t be the last. Fantastic location with great views over the city and to the castle.
Staff were excellent from arrival and throughout our stay, food first class.
Would definitely recommend a visit, you will not be disappointed!
J. R.
Really nice place, well laid out, lovely views of Edinburgh, food pretty good for a chain brand, service very slow, not cheap, would go back though, the staff were really helpful, friendly and accommodating
g. d.
Nice friendly service of amazing food and good drinks.
R. L.
Great authentic Thai cuisine. Great views. Great service.
N. C.
Food and drinks were awesome. My husband ordered the steak dish with the truffle jasmine rice and I ordered the panang curry with coconut rice.
P. C.
Amazing views and fabulous food. Fantastic friendly service.
m. y.
Lovely staff, great food but easy to order too much. On the spicy side but fabulous. Great roof terrace with views over Edinburgh.
B. P.
On a business trip. Table for 1. Quick meal and had good service . Ordered chicken pad Thai and chicken tacos.
I. G.
The food and the service were really good but on studying the bill afterwards we realised we were charged over £15 for gratuity and an ' 'optional charity ' that my friend wasn't told about! Over and above that charge we left a generous tip on the table which we were a bit annoyed about afterwards!
R. W.
Best Thai food ever .. with a stunning view of Edinburgh Castle.
Staff were absolutely first class
Top Thai restaurant in Scotland
B. “. R.
Great view, it's sup popular, especially last night was the last weekend before Christmas, so you can imagine, but they still manag to provide a top notch service despite the crowd. So a big thank you for all the staff .
A. T.
Some limited vegan options with a few supply issues limiting choice elsewhere on the menu. May have just been unlucky with our initial choices.
Slow service, hopefully not linked to their service to deliveries impacting restaurant customers.
L. D.
Staff are lovely...food is amazing! Couldn't ask for more. Love it!
L. R.
Amazing service and food. Not as expensive as expected.
S. M.
Delicious food, attentive service. Expensive, but worth it for a special occasion
Z. H.
Great food. The starter platter and the sous vide lamb massaman curry (with jasmine rice) were excellent - these are must try items. The venue is very nicely decorated, looked good in the day and and night. Great service from the very friendly and attentive staff. Would definitely visit again
C. M.
A bit posh looking, great view and service. Very nice cocktails but a but the food is overrated (pad Thai not as good as it used to be and green curry lacked of flavours)
s. b.
We had lunch here today and it was just wonderful. Fantastic food, service and atmosphere. I can't wait to go back. Highly recommend the rooftop dining 😀
M. S.
Food, service and the restaurant itself are amazing. Great value for money as well. Would highly recommend the tasting menu, beef massaman was excellent
M. O.
Visited on Saturday 24th july 21.
As always food is amazing, amazing flavours! Amazing cocktails & amazing staff!
So, overall amazing!!
We always look forward to visiting here it’s always 5 stars!🤩
S. A. D.
Lovely mid week treat and 50% off in Jan! Excellent food and very attentive service!
P. B.
Really delicious food in a stylish atmosphere. Very quick service from the friendly staff.
J. W.
Fantastic experience. We booked a table for 8 on a Saturday evening, had to add another person on short notice and they were very accommodating despite being very busy. The service was faultless, drinks and food were incredible. The menu had great variety, I actually just got some starters and sides as my main and it seemed very easy for them to bring everything out together. They were very good to us and I will definitely be back in future, I highly recommend. Do book in advance for a weekend though as it will always be busy.
W. M.
Lovely setting. Good food and attentive service.
K. L.
Lovely staff Jasmine excellent food and atmosphere
K. B.
Great service, very tasty food and nice atmosphere
R. B.
The food is delicious and the place and view is very nice
A. F.
Good quality Thai cuisine. Also has a wonderful view of the castle from the glass cube. Definitely recommend the Weeping tiger dish!
A. B. (. B.
Beautifully prepared and presented authentic Thai food, in a classy environment you wouldn't be ashamed to bring your parents to. An Edinburgh favorite.
A. J.
Fantastic restaurant with super delicious food. We were out in the conservatory which was pretty. Staff were friendly, food came quickly. Recommend booking (we booked over a week in advance and could only get a table at 9.40pm). Worth the wait!
A. M.
Lovely food and the ingredients tasted so fresh, impressed with the vegetarian food choices. The staff were also very friendly and provided great recommendations. The environment of the restaurant was so relaxing, calm and cosy. Would love to see the restaurant in London too.
D. F.
Lovely setting, beautiful views, delicious food, staff very friendly and helpful, book ahead though, it’s very busy 😉
D. C.
Chaophraya is on the top floor of an office building in the city centre, and it has some of the very best views of Edinburgh. In particular, the views from the balcony and the glass box area are incredible, with an uninterrupted perspective of the castle. The food is very good, with a huge menu packed full of innovative and traditional Thai dishes. The service is among the best and most attentive I've ever experienced. Taking all of that into account, it's really good value for money and a perfect venue for a celebratory lunch or a sophisticated dinner. You can also visit just for cocktails if there is space at the bar or a free table on the balcony overlooking George Street.
M. S.
delicious food, amazing service, definitely recommend
C. H.
Great food and service and what about that view
B. G.
Amazing food and cocktails. Staff lovely
C. R. C.
Food is great, even when it's the wrong order. I ate it anyway because what I 'd been mistakenly served smelled (and tasted) amazing. Service is variable, on this occasion we were continually having to go back to the bar to order drinks and request prior orders be filled, despite several servers sitting in view of the table chatting/on phones. That said when we did catch their attention, service was quick and friendly. We've had better service here (and once worse) but the quality of the food and drinks always outweighs the service issues.
A. S.
Amazing food and service. Although a little expensive still wonderful value for money. The fish was cooked to perfection and not over done and the spices were balanced and delicious. Cocktails were professionally made and just wonderful. Not the place to go for a quiet intimate dinner on the lead up to Christmas but then I suppose where is. We'll worth a visit
N. K.
Lovely place. Service was good however there was a problem with the kitchen. Main courses were more then an hour late.
P. E.
Food was really good, and the view is amazing. The decor is quite nice, with many details of good taste. The only strange thing about our experience, was the staff. They were helpful enough, but not "nice" or approachable. It's like they have orders to not interact that much with the clients... Either that or they were all chosen for being cold and distant.
M. D.
Fantastic meal and staff. Lovely restraunt
Z. a. S.
From the beginning to the end my birthday today was made very special.Had the set meal for £35 per person and there was more than I could handle it was excellent and I even got a slice of birthday cake on the house.Afterwards the kind staff said we can finish drinks on the terrace overlooking Edinburgh City. The weather felt like we were abroad as we enjoyed the chilled out music with our wine.
A. C.
Been there loads of time. Brilliant views, great service and amazing food. Well worth the visit even just to look at the views of the castle or over the roof tops to Leith and the water.
H. K.
Great food, attentive servers and delicious cocktails
S. D.
This place is amazing. Had work night out there and were given private room with amazing views. Am currently blessed with children and therefore unused to going out to places without children's menus and soft play so the tastes and textures of the food served in thus amazing place were incredible. Everyone had different meals and everyone loved theirs. Fantastic views of castle. I'm going back there ASAP.
R. W.
Had food here on evening of 25/11/19. Managed to squeeze us in when busy even though we didn’t have a booking which was greatly appreciated. Service was excellent came often to check on drinks and food. Lovely place to eat with great views overlooking the new town and the castle. Food was excellent, my party had the platter to start and the royal sous vide lamb curry and Thai green curry. Best Thai food I’ve had in the UK will definitely be coming back on our next visit to Edinburgh.
S. S.
Really Thai food. Good service.
Second visit with more appreciate in next day.
Must try this Thai food.
E. M.
Came here for a birthday celebration and hired a private room. Had to pick a set menu but all the dishes that came looked incredible. I got a separate menu due to allergy requirements but the food I received was delicious. There was an in-house entertainment, a magician, who was great fun. Top banter and got everyone involved. The whole venue was absolutely stunning and everyone enjoyed themselves. Food got wolfed down and there were clean plates all around. Quite an expensive place to eat, which is the only downfall so I'll only be back for special occasions but it's totally worth the wait. Staff were all brilliant from start to end.
S. J. M.
If you are thai, You are not gonna be fine with this, The food is so sweet and very coconuty
j. s.
First time.e here very impressive on the roof top restaurant, staff very attentive and knowledgeable about menu, service 1st class, would highly recommend a visit.
M. C.
Great food, great atmosphere. Will be back!
S. J.
A great place for a quirky, tasty meal with great views across Edinburgh. We really enjoyed our food and had possibly ordered too much but not complaining. Really helpful and friendly staff as well. Would recommend and will definitely return if we're in Edinburgh again.
T. W.
Fantastic menu, superb setting , excellent food and very attentive service. A busy place so be sure to book well in advance.
D. P.
Fantastic service and decor. A lovely view and tasty Thai food. The menu seemed like it might have been a limited one due to Covid though.
J. P.
Amazing food great atmosphere. Very fancy
E. J.
View, atmosphere and service all good. Food overly sweet. Speciality prawns too dry. Bookings well handled.
K. C.
Lovely view, delicious food and friendly staff, all you need for fine dining experience!
G. M.
Amazing food and views. Made a last minute reservation as had guests coming over for 1 might from abroad...the staff didn't have any tables in the glass box when we arrived as it was busy and were accommodated elsewhere. However as soon as one become free they offered us the table in the glass box...our guests were very impressed.
Food was out of this world. One might see the prices on the higher side but the quality, quantity and the amazing views along with staff hospitality is worth paying the cost.
Without doubt will be going again.
L. M.
Hidden little gem. You are not sure what to expect when you enter the lift in an office building but when the doors open and you walk into the restaurant it's beautiful. Very lively, with outside seating in a conservatory. Staff were friendly and helpful and the food was lovely. Good size portions, especially for the starters.
C. A.
Good venue, very nice decor with friendly and attentive staff.
Went in for a late midweek 3 course lunch for 2, Mains - Pad Thai & Day Prawn Rice, both portions were very well prepared and a reasonable size...
1 star off for pricing, not cheap but it is the city centre... After requesting the dessert menu had to ask again for the lunch menu we were originally ordering from, a hint of snobbery when my date and I were given 1 menu. Presented with the bill which was full price instead of the lunch menu originally ordered from, a fortunate happenstance my date was at the ladies whilst I once again queried pricing.
A very pleasant lunch but would try a different Thai resteraunt a short distance away next time.
R. J.
Absolutely fabulous service and food...all that and a view!
A. A.
Food was delicious and really well priced. we took the set meal for two and the portions were perfect, and the Food was simply amazing. I chose the restaurant for the unique views it offered and was not disappointed. very romantic. The service could not be faulted, all waitresses were very attentive and polite. Happy to recommend dishes and wines. Looking forward to going back and would definitely recommend.
E. Y.
I had my 25th birthday celebrated there. The restaurant is a bit hard to find. Food is okay if you are not expecting it to be 100% authentic Thai food. The environment is nice and fancy.
G. R. M.
Had the most wonderful experience here tonight for my partners birthday. We arrived for our late dinner booking a little early and were seated at the bar with drinks to wait. Our table was then a little late becoming available, as we were a larger group and the maitrè'd was so lovely about it even though we were very happy to wait. He also had a bottle of prosecco waiting for us at the table as an apology which was so kind. The service was flawless all night, we didn't have to ask for anything before it appeared, fresh water, refills etc.
And the food was INCREDIBLE. We had a array of starters to share and each one was more delicious than the last. Our mains were all prompt and delicious, our server surprised us with a cake for my partner with a candle and sang, it was adorable. We then got to stay until closing to watch the fireworks at the tattoo over the castle.
I cannot recommend this place highly enough. As first timers this is our new favourite place to go. 10 stars if I could!!!
R. H.
Fantastic food, views and atmosphere. Don't take the stairs up though as you can't get in. The chef was happy for feedback and everything is so full of flavour! Will definitely visit again next time I'm up.
J. L.
Was very quick service and really enjoyed the food.
R. B.
Great tasting food, good service and not too fast or too slow. The views from the glass fronts are fantastic. If I had to find a negative it can be a teeny bit more expensive than some other meals out.
M. K.
Very friendly staff, great atmosphere and most importantly awesome food, Thai food is now one of my favourites.
M. S.
Located on an upper floor with views over the castle, Chaophraya is a comfortable, modern furnished restaurant. The staff are attentive, polite and smartly turned out. The atmosphere is relaxed whilst paying regard to current covid precautions, with staff all masked up and sanitiser available on the way in. Ensure you have your own sanitiser with you, for when you've handled the menu. The .menu choice is good, the quality of the food excellent, and given the prime location great value. We both enjoyed vegetarian dishes, with the shared platter starter being particularly delicious.
K. M.
Just had the most delicious meal reminiscent of trips to Thailand a wonderful table with a view and great service 👍 the perfect place to spend time with friends. Thank you

This is a really lovely place to eat Thai food. We were lucky enough to sit outside on the balcony (after a 40 min wait for a seat so make sure you book!). As soon as we were ready to order and put our menu down a waiter came over straight away but after that we were waiting for ages for someone to give us the bill. The service wasn't the best, it could be improved a lot

An absolutely amazing view and some great udon!

Excellent food, great atmosphere, wonderful view of the Castle and top notch service. Highly recommended.

OMG! There aren't enough words to recommend this place. Location- fabulous, food - Unbelievable, staff-friendly and informed. We had the set menu and it was out of this world. Decor was beautiful and tasteful. We had a bit of a hard time finding it as it looks like it's in an office from the outside but was definitely worth the hunt. It was recommended to us by some locals as the best Thai in Edinburgh and we weren't disappointed. We have both travelled extensively in Thailand and this was definitely food worthy of that beautiful country.
G. S.
Good service, very tasty food, loved the spices. Red Thai curry was really good and my partner enjoyed the pork skewers.
I'd definitely recommend!
W. M.
Lovely setting, food delicious. No information about allergens except by QR code which didn't work.

Yet again another brilliant meal! Fabulous service and good ambience! Can't fault it. We had the Chsophraya platter to start. The chicken tacos and crispy duck salad were lovely. However we found the crisp prawns to be a bit greasy and the texture of the fish cakes were awful. For main course we had Aromatic red curry, with jasmine rice. Both the chicken and beef were very flavoursome with lots of crunchy vegetables. My only complaint was I was so full I couldn't have the chocolate box dessert I was looking forward to having again😀 Lovely lunch.
r. m.
The ambience and staff u cannot fault, however the food is not thai tasting,I think its cooked for the British pallete ,my wife who is thai and a papaya salad chef said there was no spice to it whatsoever ,my thai red curry was very bland and jasmine rice really had no flavour bit disappointed if honest ,but I suppose ur not going to get proper tasting thai food in uk ,so probably have done their best with ingredients that they source ,,we won't be back ,but tht applies to all thai restaurants as no point paying big money for a meal tht my wife can make far better
R. D.
Fantastic experience. The restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere, aided by the extremely attentive staff. The food was absolutely delicious (the belly pork was a personal highlight) and prepared quickly, considering how busy the restaurant was. I would have no hesitation in returning.
V.
Fabulous views from glass topped area of the castle. Food delicious and service good too. Got a great table for my daughters birthday and a surprise rendition of happy birthday sung to her with a chocolate cake too. Lovely touch!! Be careful if ordering for gluten free person. ...some dishes have fish/meat coated in batter (tempura) but not necessarily stated on menu. We had a great night ☺

Great food, excellent service in a relaxed atmosphere. Fantastic views of the castle and the city. Food was fresh and flavoursome and vety plentiful (my friend and I had a shared menu for two) and we couldn't finish everything. Just wish the music matched the restaurant or at least a little quieter as it was a little intrusive. Otherwise definitely recommend!

We’ve ordered a takeaway during lockdown and I quite like to share my view of this place pre-lockdown, especially with the food. So here comes:
How often do you find a restaurant that allow you to enjoy the view from top floor with good food? I would be happy to bring anyone to this restaurant if they are in Edinburgh. The place is accessible by a lift but I do need to walk a stair before getting to the restaurant so not sure if there’s another lift for folks with walking difficulties, I shall find out and update here next time.
Saying that, if you see other reviews, it’s not just me, the quality of service can be varied and really not the selling point here. When it’s busy, you might need your patience to be served and depends on who you get to serve you, you might need to bring out your forgiving spirit for their manners/helpfulness.
What draws me to this place apart from its location is the food. It offers a menu with a variety of dishes and some dishes you won’t see in other generic Thai restaurants in the city. I was never disappointed with the taste of each dishes we ordered, even though some dishes I have had better in other places, like pad thai for example, which didn’t really inspire me.
However, the one dish that made us come back for more is the “royal sous vide lamb massaman curry”. The lamb is so tender and the sauce so rich and flavoursome. Sous vide anything takes ages and no idea how they make the curry so tasty, so happy to come and part my money (£15.95) for this full stars dish. We miss it so much that we order this as takeaway during lockdown...
We haven’t tried the whole menu and look forward to finding other outstanding dishes for my taste.
As a whole not a 5 star for me but they make food with a lovely view that I would like to share with everyone I know.

Best food I've had in a long time. Recommend to anyone. Decent prices for Edinburgh. Pristine dining experience
K. M. (.
Excellent service and good thai food. Recommend cocktails after dinner with amazing views over Edinburgh.

Fantastic food, came here tonight for our first anniversary dinner, as this was where we had our first date. Great service, very attentive staff, and when there was a small hiccup with my order it was dealt with quickly and professionally. I will definitely be coming back here, And I would urge anyone considering coming here to do so, such a beautiful restaurant, and not too noisy as well, which was ideal for us as both my partner and I have hearing difficulties to varying degrees. 10/10 for everything!
S. M.
Lovely venue but, not the best Thai food we've had
G. M.
Really like this place. Food is tremendous and we had the added bonus of taking advantage of the eat out to help out which the restaurant has decided to extend themselves. Views are the best in the town.
J. S.
Sadly whilst dining here (5/1) the fire alarm went off mid-service (through no fault of Chaophraya) and the building had to be evacuated. Upon returning after being given the all clear the staff could not have been more helpful, replacing the mostly eaten lunch with a fresh course and even giving complimentary Prosecco. Wonderful customer service to match the fantastic food!! Thanks.
A. B.
Very good food. Glass box has amazing views over the city and the castle. It was busy, even on Wednesday. Would definetly recommend booking a table. Staff were polite and friendly. Priced a little higher than most eats we go to. Have had slightly nicer Thai elsewhere, but no real complaints.
J. M.
Nice food and comfortable atmosphere after we'd been moved from the inside heaters. Didn't have the only good dessert on the menu (chocolate bombe) which was disappointing and overall a bit overrated from what we expected but not a bad time at all. Was just okay for value for money.
S. C.
Fantastic food and ambiance, the service was sublime thank you.
M. H.
Lovely place for a wonderful Thai meal served by friendly and helpful staff.
Good range of tasty dishes available.
V. P.
Lovely surroundings and staff, very good and tasty food. Service was a little slow, however, we were a party of eleven and each course was served to everyone at the same time, so I'll let that go. Price for the lunch menu was very reasonable.
J. C.
The food and view is fantastic. I had the pork belly and it was delicious as was my husband's masaman curry. My only criticism would be the service is odd. We were asked by 3 different waitresses if we had ordered drinks then when we ordered food it came out about 15 minutes later, which I thought was very quick. Having said that once we'd eaten we weren't rushed out as I thought we would be, we were left to drink our bottle of wine and enjoy the view, we also weren't pestered for more drinks or food.
I would definitely recommend it. I would also recommend booking so that you can request a table with castle views.
H. G.
Nice meal but expensive and waited over an hour between starter and main. Did receive discount
L. L.
Amazing
R. C.
Food seems to have gone downhill, my food tasted like a typical takeaway. Like the decor, atmosphere a bit lacking on a Tuesday night. Service is always good, and I really like the balcony area for drinks. On a sunny day, you can catch the evening rays as the sun goes down, and they do some lovely cocktails.
K.
Absolutely fantastic food! Fantastic service! Best Thai food I've ever had! Will definitely be returning :)
M. C.
Excellent as always. Service very attentive, food delicious and the views of the castle are stunning on a sunny day. Booking in advance is a must and go early to get the best views of Edinburgh enjoyed over a glass of chilled bubbly.
A. B.
Just an amazing place and the jungle curry was out of this world.
A. I.
Beautiful views from the gallery. Waiter Fluke delivered great service and looked after us well. Authentic Thai food and a good portion size!
C. W.
Idyllically situated on one of Edinburgh's most finest streets for food, shopping and coffee (George St) This restaurant shall never disapoint. The menu consists of some delicious delights! And the views over the city are pretty spectacular too!
k. b.
1st visit, wont be the last, Food top quality and a good choice to cater for most tastes bearing in mind its a Thai restaurant. Seems to be a 2 hour table after which you can sit at the bar area which was well priced for the city, nice atmosphere and thoroughly enjoyable. Highly recomended from wife and me. Enjoy
A. C.
Excellent food great service. Always worth a visit, very comfortable surroundings.
N. M.
Consistently great service and food in a beautiful setting. I also attended their cooking class & it was amazing!
Great vegetarian & vegan menu.
M. R.
Lovely ambiance but food was not completely fresh
E. R. M.
Amazing views!
But take the lift to get there! The restaurant is not accessible from the main stairs. Despite the disappointment at the end of that climb, the food and atmosphere was well worth it. Good level of spice, and everyone felt very light and fresh.
G. D.
Very nice restaurant that has plenty of spice. Lovely atmosphere and what a view!!. Highly recommend.
M. R.
Great restaurant, food and environment was exceptional
S. G.
Absolutely fantastic...great food, range of drinks and location, staff were attentive without being invasive.
I would think it can get a bit too cold on the covered terrace, with only single glazed screens, but great atmosphere and plenty of tables inside if you prefer.
G. S.
Fantastic food, great friendly staff.
B. H.
The food is top quality and it's beautifully decorated with great views of the castle if you can get a seat in the right area. The service was a bit disappointing, our bill had extra drinks added on and they weren't very apologetic when we pointed it out, it took them a long time to bring us our change.
T. K.
Used to frequently go to this restaurant when I lived in Manchester. The food has always been very flavourful however I did not like their Tom Yum soup. It has a very bland and strange flavour compared to all the other Tom Yum I’ve had before. Nonetheless, the Thai fish cakes were very fluffy and light and the pineapple fried rice and basil chicken (ordered off the menu) were very good as well.
H. M.
The food was absolutely delicious with many vegetarian options. I felt the portion sizes we're perfect to share between 2 people. The ambience and service was great too! Highly recommend
A. N.
Can't fault it. Stunning place with beautiful views. Food and drink were amazing and the staff were lovely. Would love to return.
M. S.
First time we have visited here and with some bad experiences in other restaurants since they opened after the lock down this was amazing. From the time we booked we got a text to confirm and when arriving it was the most amazing service from start to finish. Thank you so much we will be back for sure
A. G.
The place is gorgeously decorated. The staff were pleasant and very attentive. On the day i went however, we had to wait a little longer for food. Though that the staff checked on us a few times. Food was good though I needed a little more sliced red chilli.
Overall, I would go back for that to die for view on the terrace.
A. R.
Popped in for lunch just before Christmas with my wife. Recommend booking and also if you can ask for a seat in the conservatory. Beatific views of the castle and surroundings. Service was amazing and our waiter "Blue" was fantastic. A real help, we were able to substitute some of the items on the set lunch at and nominal fee with no fuss. Felt really looked after. Also the food was amazing, go for one of the set menus it's and good way to try different things.
D. M.
One of the best situated restaurants in Edinburgh being several floors up on rooftop. Has terrace outside on rooftop which is amazing in good weather. Food was tremendous, really delicious. Service was excellent too. Quite expensive but definitely worth it. Highly recommended.
R. T.
The food is good with quite broad selection, the interior aesthetic is very nice. On balance I would say that it is overpriced food wise but if you want somewhere nice to dine scenery wise then may be appropriate pricing.
R. W.
Amazing Thai food. I'm Allergic to peanuts but they fill me with confidence that I will be perfectly fine. Great service!
This is one of the few rooftop places in Edinburgh with a gorgeous view of the castle. You do need to book for the castle view room.
Also brilliant for cocktails. Highly recommended
J. T.
Food was lovely. Shame about the service - couldn't wait to get us out, didn't offer us desserts, opened the window to make it cold so we would leave quicker, kept trying to take the wine list before I'd ordered wine, I was taking a photos of my team and a waitress was hovering around to clear the glasses. It was my works Christmas party and we felt rushed - table was booked for 9:15 but they were late seating us.
D. O.
I love this place so so much. The view is gorgeous (tip: ask to be seated in the conservatory)! Food is authentic and very reasonably priced. I had chicken satay to start and pad thai for a main. My friend had the prawns and they were delicious too. It's a must visit, especially for tourists!
a. p.
Quality food. Quality ambience. Quality staff . Worth the money!
K. G.
Beautiful restaurant, fabulous views. Amazing food, fantastic service. We has a couple of the shared platters- one veggie and one meat. Both delicious. Main courses equally good. And, try the bathtub gin.😃
A. D.
Amazing food, good ambience and great service.
However, if you're going there for the view from the top while having dinner, make it a point to get a table in the open, outside the roofed deck. Even though the restaurant is surrounded by transparent glass, the lighting is such that it's reflective and inside the restaurant you can only see a mirror image.
K. M.
Delicious food and the staff made a special effort to look after us on our wedding day by giving us a fantastic table with 360 views of Edinburgh as well as complimentary bubbly.
C. S.
Lovely restaurant in a beautiful setting with views overlooking the city. Staff were really friendly and made some great recommendations on the menu. Food was wonderfully fragrant and flavoursome.
M. E.
Decoration and view is amazing. Professional and friendly staff. Fantastic sharing platters, proper Thai food. Be vary wary of your spiciness tastes and always ask advice to the waiters. Definitely recommended!
L.
Not worth the price in my opinion. Tasted average (relatively good), but expected better for the premium price charged. Expected a view of the castle, got the view of the main road below, couldnt justify the cost of the drinks too as they were almost the same price as my main meal.
N. S.
Great food at a reasonable price. I would definitely go back here. Service is very good too.
F.
Fantastic experience. TOP quality food and the best staff service I have ever had in a restaurant. It really was special and it wasnt a special occasion. Staff made the experience and I've been out to eat 1000's of times and never had service like that. 👍👍👍👍👍👍
D. M.
Never tried this food before but loved it at this restaurant. Beautifully decorated restaurant, fantastic staff and amazing views of Edinburgh skyline. Tried to book in at night but booked up so if you go I would book in advance. Also ask to be seated in the atrium outside great views of the castle.
M. J.
Had lunch here. Absolutely delicious food, faultless in fact. Friendly attentive staff and well presented interior. Will definitely be back and would recommend others to try it out.
A. M.
Really nice food and the environment and the location are perfect. However, we had to wait quite a lot of time between the starters and the mains and toilets should be spotless in a restaurant like this they are not though. Apart from that everything was really nice.
L. K.
Organising a table was something of a challenge. Plenty of empty tables, being told it's fully booked!
After some convincing we got a table for 5.
Food was fine but small plates. Our expectation was high and hence was somewhat disappointing as we were lead to believe it would and should be of high standard and quality.
However, staff was great and the views with open windows were excellent over Georges Str.
R. R.
The restaurant is beautiful and the food is nice, but I think it's quite overpriced for what it is. You can find much cheaper, more 'authentic' thai restaurants in Edinburgh. Also be aware that the large majority of the seating isn't located near the window with a view, so most diners won't get to enjoy this.
T. A.
This restaurant is set on the 3rd floor of this building. As you enter you encounter a series of glass walls, and though they look very decorative they can be a but disorientating. This is obviously a popular place and I did find it rather noisy, which would have been helped by the glass walls.
I wouldn't normally choose to go to a Thai restaurant(here for sister's birthday), so the food didn't really suit me. That said it was nicely presented and most of our small party enjoyed it.
The staff were very pleasant, and helpful.
Overall 3 stars from me, but that is a very personal opinion and I could see why other people could give it a better rating.
S. C.
Delicious food, great atmosphere, and some of the best views in Edinburgh. The lamb curry I had was a very pleasant surprise but when I return, which I will definitely do, I will likely go for one of the tasting menus.
N. W.
Exceptional food with a fantastic view of Edinburgh Castle. The staff were very attentive and catered to all needs. Lovely wines and decent sized portions. Expensive but well worth visiting this beautiful restaurant.
S. B.
Table for 4 in the glass box with views of the castle and over the forth. It was cloudy so temperature inside was OK but it may heat up on a sunny day? Plenty of choice on the menu and all we had was very well made and tasted brilliant. A bit overpriced but it is in Edinburgh and has amazing views. If your in a rush for dinner go elsewhere but if you want to sit and chilax, no rush then it's a place for you
T. J.
One of the best meals I've ever had. Tremendous atmosphere, lovely staff, rantastic views with rooftop terrace, what more could you ask for?! One of my personal favourites places to go in Edinburgh
G. M.
Wasn’t impressed with the vegetable spring rolls. However all main dishes were outstanding. Will defo re-order again. All the dishes were piping hot
J. B.
We absolutely loved our visit to Chaophraya! The service was friendly and really quick, the food was delicious, and best of all, we had the best table in the house with amazing views of Edinburgh Castle and the hills in the distance (request a view of the castle when booking though!). Everyone really enjoyed their food, and the massive slice of chocolate fudge cake I had for dessert was also amazing. One of the best restaurants I've visited in Edinburgh, so this is a new favourite, and we'll definitely be back!
C. H.
An amazing restaurant that you may not find unless you know it is there. We went for a cheeky lunch date to enjoy the sunshine on the terrace and the amazing views of the Castle and George Street.
They have built a glass room on the top of the building for if the weather is bad, this and the terrace overlooks the castle. It is a lovely location day and night, or for a romantic destination. They also have a private room for dining with castle view.
The food is amazing and the staff are absolutely fantastic. The waitress did mix up our order though but what we got while a surprise was still really good! Great for a cocktail too with some interesting new ones on the menu and a good wine list too.
G. S.
Amazing Thai food. Would definitely return. Views over Edinburgh were great.
Z. M.
The portions are on the large size, the food is awesome really friendly staff. Really enjoyed will be back
J. M. m.
Wasn’t sure when walked in as although modern and lovely it wasn’t your normal Thai greeting and not many was Thai , however the service was excellent and the food amazing
N. P.
Surprisingly good Thai food, quite authentic. Great roof top setting with excellent views. Let down only by staff that seem rushed off their feet and a rather unwelcoming bouncer at the door.
N. A.
Good food nice service lovely cocktails nice setting only let down by ladies loo ! Stank of wee and cubicles scruffy and not well cleaned ....sorry !
D. J.
Every aspect of this restaurant was above average. Welcoming staff, great decor/ambience, food/drink options are good and tasty, prices were fair, restrooms were very clean. High end place altogether. Oh yeah and the views are great!
K. B.
Absolutely stunning place! Great food. We sat in the outside box where we could see the city it looked lovely! It was however full and very loud but fab all round.
C. R.
Food was excellent but on the day we went we waited nearly 45 mins for starters then a further 45 mins for main course. Only had 1 drinks order taken as well. Staff apologised and our bill was discounted. It was very busy and the time we went before was fantastic so would still recommend it.
H. K.
Fabulous Restaurant!! Went with friends who'd all been before, as I hadn't I was excited to try it out and I can assure the reader that I shall return. The service, cleanliness and of course the food were all better than I'd hoped. King Prawn Stir Fry was Exceptional!
5 Stars!
Z. S.
The view from the terrace on this place on a nice day is amazing. Very instragrammable. Really friendly staff (probably because they’re Scottish) and the food is great. Chicken is halal which helps and we ordered the Thai red and Thai green curries. I’d say one is enough for 2 people if you’re ordering starters aswell. Only downside I would say is it can be quite expensive.
A. R.
Friendly staff, delicious food
M. M.
Beautiful restaurant overlooking the castle, eaten at a couple of Chaophraya's, the food here was outstanding in comparison
G. B.
Exceptional food, attentive service, beautiful setting. There were four of us; sweet and sour chicken, Tamarind chicken, steak, tofu pad Thai. Starters were pork belly, dumplings, papaya salad. A memorable evening.
G. B.
Excellent food, stunning location and good service. Not the cheapest but not as expensive as you may expect for a roof-top location in central Edinburgh. You more than get what you pay for.
C. 8.
Food was incredible and very authentic! Lovely cocktails! Great atmosphere! Great service. Would highly advise going here if u like Thai food! Will be back for sure!
j. b.
Great vibe.. buzzy place..food can vary a bit but generally excellent. Lovely views from the terrace. Thai quality service. You feel well looked after. Can be noisy but adds atmosphere and youth with cash!
S. S.
The setting is fantastic, service really nice, bar staff wonderful. Menu lovely. I had the pork belly curry which was spot on but they could of added different cuts of pork with it to give it a variety.
H. C.
We had a lovely dinner with our families here. Food is good but a bit expensive. Service is super.
J. L.
Don't think that there is anything touristy about this restaurant by virtue of the spectacular views of the castle- the food AND OUTSTANDING staff made this a beautiful experience for ur group of 5 diners. They do everything to make sure one is as comfortable as at home. We are from the US. If we go back next year we will dine here.
K. B.
Love the food, atmosphere, service and overall experience of sitting high up in the city with a fantastic view. I have never been disappointed with my dining experiences there. Whole heartedly recommend it.
L.
A luxury dining experience. My partner and I went for our anniversary and there was a really nice romantic feel to the place but not off putting to non romancers!!! The restaurant has wonderful castle views which cant be beat. Would highly recommend.
M. G.
Absolutely delicious Thai food with the most beautiful views! The Chicken Pad Thai is a must-try. Service is much better here than the Glasgow branch in my opinion.
S. L.
Location of this venue is next to none, along with the service! The food however is lacking it's potential... Not the most authentic of menus and lacks flavour in most of the dishes, a real shame as the venue it self is beautiful.
C. D.
Had food here for my partners 30th, they brought out a slice of cake with a candle on without me asking! The food was delicious!!
R. W.
Definitely a great place for special occasions. The food is so delicious, but a little bit more pricey than your average thai, however the atmosphere and the stunning roof top views makes an occasion out of any evening there. Highly recommend the shared starter platter!
M. A.
The best Tai we've ever had. Could have stopped after starters, however powered on and walked back to the hotel in a food coma. The cocktails are worth a try!
M. J.
What a beautiful place. Really good food. Service was fantastic. Thank you
J. R.
Lovely meal and great atmosphere, service was very good, views were spectacular although I thought it was a bit over priced, but still worth the money overall, would definitely visit again.
F. M.
Very delicious thai food and the service is also very prompt. I had the lamb massaman curry, good spice to it, large portions of lamb and tasty curry. My girlfriend had the chicken gree curry, more on the watery side not as thick of curry but also large portion of chicken. We had a nice view of edinburgh castle and surround streets so we enjoyed our meal. I felt like i was in a restaurant back in NYC, nice upscale vibe to it. Just what we needed to end our trip in scotland.
i. p.
Food was amazing. So very tasty with stunning flavours. Great atmosphere and good staff.
