Finally tried cote and after much promotions by so many people the place did not let itself down. Very nice place with lovely and friendly staff. Visited it on my birthday and it was special. We all went for the fixed menu and I must say the food was quality and very reasonable pricing. Had a glass of Malbec which complimented my meal. I will surely visit again. Thank you once again.

Cote is a triumph. My partner eats there regularly with friends and we often take visitors. It’s mid-priced and excellent value with nice touches like cloth napkins and decent cutlery, glasses etc. The food is really good, not fancy , just well executed, tasty and plenty of choice. But it’s the staff that make the difference in the Edinburgh branch. Helpful, welcoming, smart and unobtrusive. Worth a decent tip

Great lunch and a really nice waitstaff. The chicken paillard was one of the best I've had at any French brasserie. Simple but very flavorful. A little bummed that brunch ends at 2pm. Typically, Sunday brunch (in NYC at least) goes to at least 4pm. No big deal! This just means I'll have to come back to try some of their brunch dishes!

Cote never disappoints. Been here a few times with friends and the place is always great. Delicious food (love their steak frites), great customer service and classy environment. They have a great wine selection. And if you have a sweet tooth I do highly recommend their chocolate mousse.

Pleasant, welcoming front of house staff. Very French set, great jazzy, soulful music playing, I asked to be seated further in under the speakers😊. Amazing! They have a Vegatarian menu with some thoughtful vegan options which I ordered. The staff were friendly and happy to accommodate me ordering main and starter together. It was late and I had a show to catch on George Street. My waitress brought me a slinky cup and pretty teapot of my chosen tea, lemongrass and ginger, with a pot of honey. I was able to pour 3 cups of which were all hot throughout. My Starter was a thier version of Ratatouille on a slice of toasted sourdough. I admit it was not presented as the ratatouille I had in my mind, being chunky cuts of bell peppers but with a beautiful ratatouille sauce poured about them and sprinkles of vegan cheese and garlic croutons, I understood the art and wasn't disappointed. Perfectly hot, well presented, heartily portioned main. More than I could manage at present, due to fasting 😅. All I can say is 💋 The lentils were cooked and seasoned well in thier sauce, the long thick cut mushrooms were divine with just a sprinkling of sea salt. I said to a friend later, it was like I could taste the chefs hand, or be in their mind finishing the dish... This was a very thoughtful dish with more croutons and a little surprise of spinach hidden in the center! Both were topped with a garnish of rocket. I ordered an apple tart but it was missed from my order, although the waiter assured me it would be whipped up in 2 minutes, my tummy decided it was divines plan and to give it a miss... However "I'll be back" for more. What a Perfectly pleasurable meal to break a fast. For now, back to it. I'll see this place again before Edinburgh Fringe Festival is over 🙌🏾💖

Lovely lunch at cote brasserie! 2 courses for £15. Can't go wrong really! Fantastic catering for gluten free food, all meals came out with a gluten free flag on top of it so no confusion and made you feel confident to eat there. Great menu selection and yummy food. Wow! Let's be honest it's a Cote - there is a fairly obvious expectation. But this Cote is just different one of the best cappuccinos I've ever had and the Eggs benedict were beautiful, it looked like art. Best of all, the staff was pleasant and they were laughing and kind to each other (I go to a lot of Cotes they usually are snippy). It really brought joy to the whole place. Im really impressed, I would recommend popping in.

Cote is always really reliably good food, it can be a little expensive but the food is worth it. We had fairly slow service to start with at this branch but by the end of the evening it was much better and they apologised for the wait. Praline Crepes are a must have!

Really excellent French food. The menu is pretty standard French cuisine (beef bourguignon, tuna niçoise) all prepared exceptionally well. Everything we had from the starters to dessert was fantastically delicious. The bistro-like setting and exceptional service also greatly add to the experience.

This restaurant is rather Ike a Tardis - it is remarkably roomy! Had a meal here with friends; the service was good and the menu had a wide range of dishes. I had some lamb but it was quite tough. I think other meals were good with generous portions. Worth another visit.

The ambiance was fantastic, with a private dining room table for our party of 7. The waiters were knowledgeable, polite and good humoured. The menu covered all the classic staples as well as seasonal favourites (pictured: cassoulet Toulousain). The food itself was nice with all 7 of us enjoying our technically well made meals with fantastic wine pairings. As well as the dishes were made. A certain something was missing, the haricots didn't melt in your mouth and we're alittle tough, the sausage wasn't particularly seasoned, there wasn't much fish in the fish pie, overall you ate your fill and it was not bad by any means but you walked away from the table not remembering much in terms of the taste for each dish, leaving you to wonder whether you could have made the same at home. Maybe next time.

Like its sister restaurant in Glasgow, Cote Brasserie is favorite spot for vegetarian breakfast. Ample portions, delicious food and friendly professional service. You will not be disappointed! Fine choices for lunch and dinner too. If I lived nearby I might never cook again.

The food is 5 stars. However the service is lacking considerably. I had a table booked for me and my partner, which was all fine. We were seated quickly despite the queue. The waiter for our table was mostly rushing and had no real interest in our experience at the restaurant. The staff in general, while polite enough, seemed to have a very vague sense of what customer service in a restaurant is. Our plates once emptied (like I said the food is very good), were not taken away for nearly 15 minutes. 3 members of staff walked past several times including the manager. They either noticed and ignored or weren't even checking. Staff argued in view of customers. I normally find being asked 'how is everything' inconvenient as I always seem to be stuffing ny face when asked. But I was not once asked if it. Luckily there was nothing about the food to complain about. As it was the service stripped the food of it value for me. I would go as far as saying the service was so little that it ruined the experience. Which is a great shame as the chef(s) are cooking some really nice food.
