We just discovered this restaurant while exploring Edinburgh for the first time, and it was just what we needed! Just a few tables inside, but a great value set lunch menu with a good few options on, and the staff were super accommodating for a couple of small tweaks we asked for. Really tasty food and perfect portion sizes for lunchtime. Recommend!

Just walked in with no reservation, having just arrived in Edinburgh, & got lucky with a table. Turned out to be an amazing little Italian place. My very picky eater son loved his linguine & smoked salmon. The rest of us had risotto from the Specials menu. Music, wine, service, food - all fantastic! 🧡

Had a very wonderful night. The food was amazing, the place was nice and solemn, and the staff will make you feel like family.. Kudos to the lady who served our food and my birthday dessert, she is the definition of hospitality.. I really wish I had known her name, I was full of emotions at that time..

Great dinner here a few nights ago. It's a family-owned and run little gem. The food was delicious and the staff was even better. So kind and took great care of us. The burrata was super fresh, my lobster risotto was executed perfectly and tasted amazing. Family had some other pasta dishes, steak that was a beautiful medium rare, and good wine. Definitely a tasty spot!

Highly recommend. What a lovely place, really wonderful atmosphere, just off a busy arterial road yet the staff have created a little haven of joy. The menu was tough to pick from, the size of the menu indicated careful consideration had gone into picking a select set perfect meals. The lady told us these were all family recipes, the best and favourites titrated to serve in the restaurant and indeed everything we had was phenomenal. Service was fantastic, the place was open in 2020 in the middle of the pandemic and I look forward to returning and eating here often to support this marvellous little gem in the centre of Broughton street. Special thanks to the lovely lady and her son (?) who shared her warmth and genial table side manner. Will be back!

Delicious food, great & friendly service! Lovely family run business. Highly recommend!!!!!! Great value for money!! I had the hot smoked salmon with figs & feta, then the Pork medallions with Gorgonzola, Nduja & walnuts!! Delish!! Then, the Tiramisu to finish! Mamma Mia!!

What a wonderful evening we've had at DaVinci. The food was fantastic; delicious and interesting, but really it was the service that made it. Our waiter was friendly, helpful and well informed. My partner is gluten free and the staff made sure that everything was OK for him. We had a great evening. There is real warmth amongst the staff, a lovely atmosphere and great food. This a restaurant that definitely deserves to do well. Thank you for a fantastic night.

Very friendly staff! I highly recommend the Gnocchi with cheese sauce, was heavenly! My two complaints would be that there were few vegetarian options (though the few that were there looked great) and the portion sizes were a bit small for the price. We also had the Rigatoni with spinach,cream and parmesan, linguine with salmon and butternut squash soup - all delicious!

Fantastic little independent restaurant with beautifully cooked offerings, very friendly service and competitive prices. A three course meal with two drinks per person came in at £40/head. And this in Edinburgh New Town! I can commend the risotto, cooked to perfection.

Family run. We were walk ins and got a table immediately. What a great place. The service is friendly, good humoured and a bit extra. We had the olives and tsatziki starter to share, followed by King Prawn risotto and Gnocchi also with king prawns. House wine then the cheese board , Semi fredo and a slice of Lemon torte. Absolutely fabulous. Definitely going back. £119 plus a well deserved tip.

We had such a lovely time at Da Vinci. I went with my elderly father and a friend. The staff could not have been nicer, so accommodating. We had a great table by the window, well ventilated, it all felt very covid safe. Everything on the menu sounded delicious, there were just enough choices and but still hard to choose as everything sounded good. I had two courses, appetizer and main course, and it was so fresh and tasty. I love that this is Italian food with other Mediterranean influences and a touch of Scottish. They are using local produce which I really appreciate. The family that own the restaurant are just adorable, they are welcoming, and very good at what they do. This is my new favorite restaurant in Edinburgh, great food, great atmosphere, great staff, great location.

Sorry to say but disappointed with my main, linguini with salmon, hardly any salmon and very little sauce. Menu is mostly pasta/rissoto with fish, only 1 meat (pork) dish, needs to be more variety on menu. My wife enjoyed hers and most of our group seemed happy, maybe I was just unlucky.

Had the loveliest dinner here - I'm vegan and the family were so incredibly accommodating, starting a risotto from scratch without any butter or cheese and providing me with the most delicious vegan Italian meal i've had in years. The vibe inside is cosy, comfortable and familial, and the food is wonderful. Would recommend to everyone - don't miss this! Thank you so so much!

Wonderful food and fantastic service.The whole meal was fantastic, and in particular the starters are amazing. They have a large selection of really good teas from the local Tea Merchant next door and great pastries from the local Sicilian bakery as well. I plan to come back

One my favourite places to eat. Lots of cracking freshly made dishes, mostly all a bit different from your usual fayre. Owners and service are just brilliant, funny, chatty but not overbearing either, the perfect mix, real cosy and relaxed family atmosphere.

Fabulous meal & would highly recommend this wee gem. Starter of King scallops with celeriac puree. Mains were cotoletta bolognese breasted pork fillet & King scallops with garlicky butternut squash puree. Food was amazing & staff are friendly & attentive. Yummy 😋

I’ve been here a few times and I love the food. Great selection of Italian dishes with hints of Greek in there too! They also have cakes and sweets from the Sicilian pastry shop which are a must!
