Reviews of Earls Burger Co.

Today we tried this new sandwich place in Stockbridge and it’s fantastic!
They have great sandwich combos so it is difficult to choose. Sandwiches are served in a nice box and are coming with chips or crisps. Prices are a bit high but you will get a huge focaccia sandwich which is very filling. If you are just looking only for a small bite, consider sharing (sandwiches are cut into two so nothing is easier).

New Earls is no longer known as the best Sandwiches in town. They now offer a selection of burgers, another burger joint.
I've left my original review of this place below so everyone knows just how good it was and that I was lucky enough to try the original Earls.
After waiting for what seemed like months for Earls to open back up again each time walking past their store, the anticipation growing each time to get to have another Ru Boy there was always going to be disappointment when it turned out that gone is the one of a kind packaging, gone are the awesome selection of sandwiches, the fresh heavenly focaccia has been replaced with a bun instead it was a sad moment.
I tried two of their burgers and whilst the food was ok its sad to see a place that literally was in its own league in every way possible with zero competition become yet another burger joint.
I would probably pick it over five guys or byron burger but what a difference from 6 months ago. So sad, but I am just one person!
From me its a solid 2 stars. I've given a 3rd star because every now and then when you take a bite, you got a flavour push through and remind you of the amazing sandwhiches they used to serve!!!!
I miss you Earls Sandwhich Co.... pics below are left for us always to remeber!
ORIGINAL REVIEW
There's nothing better than something done right! Looking across Earls menu you start to get excited the offerings here all sound completely mouthwatering.
I decided to try a Ru-Boy being a huge beef lover especially salt beef and regularly make it myself. Their offering isn't priced like other sandwiches usually you expect to pay around £4-£5 for a fairly decent one. Earls lowest price point is £9.00 going up to £11.
Not the cheapest around so your expecting something good. (Or at least I was!)
Earls sort of signature apart from the plethora of highly tantilising fillings is all its sandwiches are served on focaccia which did, initially, send chills down my spine as most places that offer this provide stale poorly made bread that isn't close to what it should be.
I waited around 10mins for my order to be made. I received a medium sized box and hastily went home to eagerly try my sandwich.
Where to start here... the packaging is top notch, a box you can carry to a park, office or home that can be quickly unfolded when your ready to eat. Opening the box up your met with a really nicely presented sandwich and some crisps.
Once I had tasted it i realised why i had just spend £10 on a sandwich. The filling was honestly amazing! Well made salt beef and the pickles, what can i say, everything just worked perfectly together .
I had hoped for a little more meat but this very very slight disappointment was completely removed by the bread. The focaccia is superb! Truly superb! Not overly salty, crisp on the base from the olive oil and fluffy and fresh in the center. Overall this was probably one of the best ive ever eaten. Certainly blowing away Londons famous Bourough Market salt beef sandwich.
Will i go back? Try and stop me! If your wondering where to eat in Stockbridge you HAVE to try this place. Seriously looking forward to trying the remainder of their menu in the future! Thanks guys!!!

Earl's does great sandwiches, the combinations are well thought out very tasty. The only thing holding it back are the ingredient quality - we had the Party and Bull Schnit and the Dirk's Diggler. The Schnit had a very watery and tasteless tomato which kind of ruined the sandwich flavours. The Diggler's chicken was the best of the two but the chicken quality wasn't great. For the price you would have hoped the quality would have been better but the place has potential.

Delicious burgers. Great veggie option too. Chips were HOT when they arrived even after their trip on deliveroo!
Offered simple option for the kids too! Winning.

Lord knows I’ve been dreamin’ of a place to get a great sandwich. Happened to walk by and happened to be the first day they’re proper open. And finally! Such a sandwich shop exists. It’s a cool space, friendly people and the sandwich and fries were tasty as heelllll. Slowly gonna work be working my way down the menu. 🙂

A little bit pricey but ultimately worth it! The sandwiches are delicious and the portions are enormous! One of the best sandwich shops in Edinburgh for sure!

The food was excellent, but we were a bit disappointed by the amount of disposable packaging considering we were eating in the restaurant. I would understand if we had got take out, but we asked to eat in and were given a paper bag, paper boxes, foil, single use sauces.
Otherwise, we had no complaints. Hopefully this can be improved in the future!
