C. E.I needed something quick and easy to eat after leaving an event at 10pm on a Thursday. They're one of the few fast food joints open on Princes Street that late, and it didn't have a queue all the way to Glasgow. All respect to the staff who need to work that late having to put up with drunk party goers and confused tourists.
k. “. g.We were there quite late after just arriving in Edinburgh and needed a quick bite to eat before bed. It was a bit rough and ready and felt it was threw together.

J. W.Far less greasy than other KFCs I am sadly used to, apart from the fact that gravy and the full selection of sides wasn't available the last time I visited... all was OK.
A. P.It was ok. Normally I really like KFC but I know the places just get completly overrun on a Saturday evening so I can understand how the place was in the state it was. Keeping up with emptying the bins and cleaning the place would make a difference but it was pretty manic in there. What can I say the people love thier KFC.

A. S.Food tasted good however they were under staffed which meant that there was a lot of pressure on the few employees available on shift. Hence they mixed up my orders and overcharged me. Due to the pressure on the available staff, the place was terribly dirty.
A. A.There were very long wait times when we went in half term. Its halal so good for us considering right in the heart of city centre.
Service was polite and thorough and any requirements to order were attempted where possible.
Would go again. Hopefully this time theyll have tissues and wait times will be less but they were trying

The staff were great and very helpful on the other hand. This is the only reason my review has gotten to 3 stars.
R. C.Visiting a city centre KFC on a Friday was always going to be a challenge. Staff were great food was warm and tasty. At least one customer who probably should have left the pub earlier (it was 7 o clock). We struggled with the electronic orders system (couldn't find kids meals) but were able to order at the counter. The place us clean but very functional (I guess you don't go to KFC for the ambience). Food was standard KFC fare, nice but mass produced.
Go here if you need something quick and filling. It's fine but not great.

S.I like that you can order your food on the touch screen when you enter the store, you pick what you want and pay for it and if you want it brought to your table you take one of the table numbers from the side of the screen and they will bring your food to you, they have card machines so you can pay at the machine as well so saves you standing in the queue. The food was nice and hot and cooked well, I love the gravy which was very tasty. The staff where very friendly and the orders where getting done at a reasonable time so we didn't have to wait long for our box meal

Fine if you fancy a late night snack on the way home but not sure I would want to have anything more substantial.The margin bucket is my favourite but the chips seem to be soggy .Prefer the mini fillets when in a hurry.

A. H.Pretty standard KFC, always slightly less busy than the McDonald's next door so if you're in a rush, probably the better option. Downstairs seating available too.
The toilet seemed 'locked' when I visited, assume it's not always like that!
F. (.I don't normally give the big chains anything over 3 stars, as a rule, but the staff here make the exception, and they deserve to be recognised. The food is KFC. If you like KFC food (as I do, though very much as a guilty pleasure) you'll like what they have on offer. But the staff at this store are an exceptional lot. When I trudge in from work at some God-forsaken hour shorty before midnight, collapse on the counter and mumble something vaguely resembling an order, they have always been happy to serve me, and happier still to chat and console a fellow late-night worker. Their exceptional esprit de cour flies directly in the face of the expressionless, cookie-cutter goons that their management seems to be trying to breed, and that really gives me hope that, in the increasingly corporate world we live in, some shred of individuality might still shine through.

J.The shift manager Gary, was the only polite member of staff, customer came to ask for a cloth to clean table, he made sure the staff did it, which seemed to annoy that member of staff being told to clean a table. The same manager went above his normal duty and made my disabled nephew's experience better making him an important customer.
F. M.Food order was wrong, had to take it back, no napkins given and none out on display. Food was ok, needed something quickly before catching the bus home to Glasgow. Normally any KFC I've been in the service and food is excellent - this outlet let KFC down.
S. n.Its KFC. Usually this is the better option for food if the McDonalds next door is busy. There is seating but St Andrew's Square is only a short walk away if you want to eat outside. There is also a KFC at Waverly Mall which is only a few minutes walk away as well.

S. F.The restaurant was busy. With the latest self ordering system. How ever the whole place seemed to have a worn jaded feel. It was not as clean as I would expect from this franchise and the toilets were not working. Also the chicken was not up to the usual standard.

K. S.I sometimes take my daughter here when we are out shopping, for no other reason that she thinks it's a treat. I'm not a fan of fast food but a little bit in moderation is okay in my books. This KFC is located right next to a McDonalds whose queue is usually streaming out on to the pavement, so the KFC gets a little forgotten about. No bad thing as it means you can pop in, order your chicken and eat quickly. The staff are always polite and the food always great. For a quick stop in-between shopping it's fast and it's fab!
J. B.This is KFC has seating on two floors but when I purchased my meal the bottom level was closed off leaving no where to sit.
Food was OK but there was not a bottled water option with the meal. All that was available was tap water.

J. C.Similar to other restaurants of the same brand, this KFC is modern in terms of customer service and layout. You will queue for a lot less time that in the nearby McDonalds and will find a more pleasant clientele.
I always go for a box meal, some extra chicken bits and a fillet burger. As far as fast food goes chicken is a healthy option so I don't mind going here. Seating is usually adequate but you will want to stay upstairs for the natural light from the large windows.
