Had dinner there Tuesday evening as we was staying in the attached hotel, the food was good and the gentleman that served us was great but he did forget our onion rings we added to the order (didn't get charged). We placed our order but had to change it, they had no sirloin steak and no sticky toffee pudding, just happened to be what we wanted at that time, service was fairly slow to be honest and the restaurant was pretty quiet. Over all the food was good and the service staff were polite 🙂

Cocktail and dessert are interesting and satisfying. Salmon and pastry are great but the side veg is bit plain and boring (could use some glazing with oil or butter I suppose). Free parking on site. Website booking are straightforward and easy. Not crowded for lunch. What a great experience at this venue. All Made really special by one young lady server called Erin. She made every evening with a great smile and excellent customer relations and service. All the staff here are second to none absolutely brilliant, They Will do anything for you and extremely nice, couldn't ask for better well done guys. On top of this the breakfast is very good all high quality throughout, from the coffee to the cooked breakfast absolutely sport on. Very good value for money with the breakfast deals. We've been using this beefeater for the last couple of years when traveling from Essex to see family and we will continue to. Strongly recommend

Only came in because we were staying in the Premier Inn attached. Had one meal in here - overpriced, and mediocre. Half of the menu was unavailable, despite it being the first day of the new menu. You'd think before introducing a new menu someone would have took the trouble to make sure everything was available. Also, we were charged extra for sauces that should have came with the meal. Staff seemed miserable too, which doesn't help. But, first night after getting in late, the woman behind the bar seemed very stern and unhappy to be serving us. However, she turned out to be helpful and friendly. I think that there are probably problems with staff and food shortages here, and that is affecting staff morale. So, all in all, not the best but maybe not the fault of the people running it.

Meal was beautiful, what let this place down, was the very slow service. 3 hours to get a 3 course meal. Must have been aprox 25 minutes before we where offered a drink before our meal. We could constantly here waitress shouting in the kitchen.

Ate here a couple of times while staying in Edinburgh. Always find beefeaters overpriced for what they offer, but of course are conveniently located if you're every staying in the attached premier inn. Most meals were fine however when sitting down for breakfast the table was not properly cleaned and still had maple syrup all over it. haha Left me with a sticky arm! Not ideal.

Had a lovely lunch served by Hughie. My friend and I are regulars there BUT I must say they are very short staffed. I feel so sorry for the staff working there they seem to be worked off their feet. I think the Manager should employ more staff to make life easier for everyone. Room for improvement. I hope the management read this message.

Sister & I booked a table for 18.30 Saturday 29th January 2022, arrived 15mns early as we walked from Princes street, we were seated immediately, staff were very welcoming & lovely, we had bottle of prosecco, macaroni & chips and gammon steak and chips , we both really enjoyed our meal, very good prices, we will definitely be going back

This Beefeater restaurant is a nice place with attentive staff and reasonable service. The menu is a little limited, but they do have an early bird menu for reduced prices which is a nice bonus. The place was quiet when we attended (5:30pm) and they were able to give us a clean highchair for our daughter to sit in. The food served was good and the portion seemed to be plenty for each of us.

Was there after funeral for tea and sandwiches . Nice space, staff helpful vegan, veggie and meat sandwiches. Vegan ones were good, some felt other sandwiches a bit dry. Tea was good but coffee was tasteless.

Always liked the Ladynairn but on the last couple of visits there were a lot of things not available on the menu (very early in the evening). I chose the Caeser Salad which had a good portion of chicken but the lettuce was warm and the only other thing in the dish was croutons. Dont think I will be ordering it again!
