After a morning exploring the Royal Mile, we needed a rest and some sustenance and Luscious look very inviting and had a diverse menu. The staff were welcoming and attentive and the coffee and food did not disappoint! I had a traditional breakfast and must say that the slice of haggis complemented the other components perfectly :-) I think they're taking a well-deserved vacation now, but once they get back I thoroughly recommend locals to consider stopping in!

We came across this little cafe when we were walking down the Royal Mile and were looking for somewhere to eat. At its price the service was great (lovely ladies served us) and the food was very tasty. I ordered the Lamb Shish (grilled lamb with pita bread, chips and salad) and it was very delicious. If you’re looking for something delicious + filling yet not over priced at a tourist area, this is your go to place. PS. The world map on the wall is eye opening.

Good breakfast, we all had the eggs Benedict. The hollandaise sauce had a touch too much vinegar but it was slight and not enough to loose a star. Thanks for a good breakfast.

The 2002 Steven Spielberg film ‘Minority Report’ features triplets who can see into the future. Even these fictional sci-fi characters wouldn’t be able to form a cohesive food order fast enough for the waiter/manager of this restaurant who seemed to want our order before we’d sat down. That said the food was perfectly acceptable. One for hungry time-travelers.

I regret visiting on my last day in Edinburgh and not my first as this would gave been my go to for several meals based on how good breakfast was. £3.50 for a quality breakfast sandwich on the Royal Mile with great service, unheard of elsewhere surely? Super friendly staff, fast service, great food and cheap with it. The night before I had an £18 burger at a fancy spot, I enjoyed my breakfast sandwich here just as much.

Food was great, and I can’t say enough about the staff. They are very pleasant and attentive. The manager stood and talked with us for quite some time. During our 2 weeks in Scotland, Luscious Cafe and Bistro on the Royal Mile, was by far my favorite place to eat.

I can say that the waitress are so sweet and mix with the relax atmosphere it's perfect to take a time to chill before to continue your visit. The food it's really nice and variety to eat a good breakfast. So then, enjoy!

Good food but the service left something to be desired. We arrived to an empty restaurant and were told we had to sit at a table in the corner. Our server was short with everyone and when we complimented the coffee and food she hardly acknowledged our remarks. Trying to exclude the fact that we are Americans accustomed to types of service back home this was the first place in Europe with service less than what we are a accustomed to.

While visiting Edinburgh with friends we found luscious to be friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was varied and delicious as were the scones. These were all served with real tea not bags. An excellent time was had by all.

Popped in this morning looking for breakfast. Seems like most places on the royal mile are shut before 9am but not this place! Staff were very attentive and their signature breakfast was excellent! Will definitely come back if in the area again!

Price is fair and the portion of the food is big. It serve burgers those kind of foods. It also serve curry with rice so if you are Chinese and got a home sick, you might want to visit this place for a casual lunch. Services is good btw.

We called in for coffee on the way to the Royal Garden Party at Holyroodhouse and the staff were lovely, friendly, cheerful and helpful. The coffee was excellent, some of the best I have ever had anywhere. We told them that we'd be walking back up from the Garden Party at 6pm when it ended, and the owner said he'd stay open later than usual in case we wanted to pop back in later, which we did. (They normally close at 6pm.) For service, friendliness and value for money you'd struggle to beat this place, it's a real little gem!

We had such a good time that we returned the next day, excellent pancakes and omelettes! Very nice managers despite our bad English ..;) Possibility to pay by card. (Original) Molto buono, siamo capitati per caso in questo posticino tranquillo. Abbiamo provato la colazione scozzese per la prima volta e devo dire che l'abbiamo aprezzata, il tutto accompagnato da un ottimo tè Scozzese.
