Reviews of Oink Victoria Street
S. P.
Absolutely delicious, I was given extra extra crackling by my server which was appreciated. The hog meat was to die for and the portions were super generous. If you love hog roast it's a must visit.
Seating is limited due to the small size of the shop and Oink is (rightly!) popular so you might have to eat elsewhere but definitely worth it
o. c.
If you are in Edinburgh and you love pork, Oink is the place for it. Their servings are tasty, worth the money. The serenity and beautiful colors of Victoria street makes it even more fun and enjoyable.
A good place to take pictures too.
B. H.
Delicious!
The hog roast was soft and tasty, would highly recommend it with the haggis! Very generous portion, reasonable priced and quick service ! A must try :)
M. S.
Walked past this place while we were looking around and got astonished to see a huge roasted pork. Decided to take the opportunity to discover and asked the two gentlemen inside the shop. Both were very eager to explain what it is about. I got the Haggis Stuffing with a chilli jam, which well complimented the salty, tasty and juicy shredded pork! The crackling is indeed crispy without a doubt especially coming from me who makes crackling myself. The price is reasonable enough for the portion.
I would say a must try when you visit Edinburgh! I just hoped I got more of the crispy skin though! 😂😂😂😂

It’s said that’s the best pulled pork roll you’ll find in Edinburgh..??
They have it in three sizes:
- Piglet (80g) £3.95;
- Oink (160g) £5.40;
- Grunter (250g) £6.80.
And you can choose your bread (brown or white), stuffing (sage and onion or our own homemade haggis) and one of the sauces (apple, homemade mustard mayo, homemade BBQ, homemade chilli cheese and homemade chilli jam).
Even though you can choose one of their sauces in my opinion the sandwich itself is too dry and not that tasty.
And because of that I wouldn’t recommend it.
M. L.
Definitely worth a stop if you are a fan of BBQ. For the price and the amount of food that you get it’s definitely worth it. I got the biggest size and it needed a little more sauce so you may want to ask for some extra sauce.
A. M.
Good sandwiches but I really think they close too early, I know it's more because of the product that lasts until that time but stills It would be great to have them for a little more time. I came here from Mexico only to have their sandwich and when I arrived to Edinburgh I went straight to Oink only to be greeted by a big line, a couple of minutes went by and they told us there was not going to be enough food, I was lucky that they told me if I only ordered 1 it should be fine but when the line moved they told us there was no haggis, no more apple sauce and no more crispy skin wth! I didn't wait for 6 years to come back just to have a plain carnitas sandwich! I ended up missing my favorite sandwich and went to have fried haggis instead...
E. G.
The best pulled pork I ever had , I've enjoyed every single bite of it , so delicious 😋 It's a must!!! One of the best customer service! I totally recommend this place ☺️
T. H.
So tasty! Great for a little pit stop right in beautiful Victoria Street. We shared an oink in a box which was perfect and had a bit of everything. Really nice guys who were running the shop that day. Delicious hog roast, when it's gone it's gone! So definitely try and get there around lunchtime before there is none left.
J. M. D.
Great prices. Quick service and tasty, quality meat. Definitely recommend!
C. N. V.
Very tasty sandwich, so good as a snack. They offer a small size which is so tiny that I think no one orders it and goes for the 'medium' one which is a normal size.
F. E. A.
Lovely and tasty pork sandwich. I had mine with the chili jam, yum yum 😋. It was just what we wanted for lunch. The guy who served us was nice and friendly. Highly recommended.
J.
Good, quick lunch. They do a good job with the pork, it’s not dry. I added haggis to mine and got the mayo/mustard sauce. It was delicious. My wife got just the pork with bbq. Top notch.
S. S.
I was looking forward to their food when I was researching for places to eat in Edinburgh. The staff were friendly and the portion is good. You'll also get a small piece of the crispy pig's skin, which I think is nice (I won't complain for a big piece though).
K. T.
Delicious rolls, delicious pork, I recommend the apple sauce and adding a crackling!
It was lovely to visit this place again after so many years! So glad to see it's doing well. (:
5.
Crackling bit of Oink ! The best pulled pork 🐷 in Edinburgh.
J. P.
My expectations were high given all the glowing reviews. But my family and I were not that impressed. We felt the flavors were lacking. A bit bland. Sure, it was moist and juicy. If you’ve had pulled pork sandwiches from the Southern United States or from Hawaii, then I think you won’t be impressed with the pork sandwiches from Oink. If an authentic American BBQ place opened in town that served pulled pork sandwiches, then Oink will go out of business in a heart beat! I will not be going back to Oink. But still glad we tried it to see what all the fuss is about.
H.
A lovely little gem! The staff were very friendly and the food was delicious! Loved how nice and crispy the crackling was and the meat itself was so tender. Would definitely recommend.
O. N.
Oink definitely allows you to pork out. They have daily specials. unfortunately they had run out of soup. The buns, meat, and the skin were all done to perfection. It is an extremely popular destination for a quick bite to eat. The staff were all very friendly and cordial. It was fun to witness the madness while the staff remained calm. Great opportunity for people watching. The location is perfect if you intend to go on with your tourist attractions.
J.
Absolutely fantastic pulled pork sandwiches with a crispy piece of cracking. The bun is generously stuffed with juicy and flavorful pork, with a smear of sauces and haggis (if you choose so). Prices are reasonable and one sandwich makes a meal. Seating inside is quite limited and cramped unfortunately.
J. M.
Oh my. What a real delight this place is. One of the tastiest hog roasts you’ll find. A simple menu, just choose your size, what type of stuffing you want and the sauce to go with it.
I skipped the classic apple sauce and went for the smoky BBQ which was delicious.
Hot tip: get some crackling, but save it til last. So, so good.
J. S.
One word: wow! Oink’s sandwich hits the mark. The meat is tender and tasty and the portions are generous. I paired my sandwich with the haggis (which tastes a bit like Thanksgiving stuffing), apple and a touch of BBQ on the side. The combination = pure heaven! I could not recommend this place more for delicious and affordable lunch. And don’t be discouraged if you see a line - it moves quickly!!
A. D.
An amazing hog roast! The queue is as long as the street but it is definitely worth it! Loved the option of haggis style stuffing and choice of sauces. A must for a quick on the go lunch in Edinburgh. Gluten free option of Bunless box available for those that need it.
G.
Amazing experience visiting Oink for lunch. Their sandwiches are very fairly priced and service is super quick! The food itself is also really good! I recommend the cheese sauce, and please say yes do the crunchy bits.
This is a great place to visit if you want to eat on the move or want to have a quick lunch so you can spend more time adventuring.
Also, you will want to visit this street if you’re a Harry Potter fan as Rowling based Diagonal Alley off this area.
I. v. D.
Delicious food on the go, affordable as a pretty good sized sandwich will set you back only 5.40£. Tip: ask for crackling as it's free and complements the soft meat very well if topped in the sandwich
L. M.
Amazing meat sandwich for decent price. You won't be able to resist the amazing looking pig in display. The staff is very helpful and explained to us all the options. Expect to take the food with you as seating is very limited and queue is kinda long.
B. A.
Do you want the best pork sandwich in the Whole of The UK ? My guess is yes, and Oink delivers just that. Lined out the door for most of the day it’s easy to see why. Tons of sauce options and as much succulent pulled pork as you care to indulge in, smack dab on a beautiful roll. 5 days in Edinburgh, 8 Pork sandwiches. Not convinced? Look at the folks salivating as they stare inside.
A. C.
Very friendly staff. Delicious pulled pork sandwiches. Arrived no later than 5 or 5:15. Close time says 5:55 but they run out much earlier than that! Be sure to look up at the menu board to streamline the ordering process for the very patient and kind staff. There are 3 different sizes to choose from, 2 stuffings (one is a haggis stuffing) and different sauces. Make it a meal with a plastic drink bottle in the fridge and a bag of crisps. Not much seating but very fast service.
K. H.
2nd time visiting and still just as awesome.
Pulled pork oink with haggis and BBQ sauce. It was fresh, warm and inhaled in seconds!
Fast service and a nice touch to actually be able to see the pig you are eating on display.
D. P.
The best sandwich in Edinburgh! Soft and warm bread. It has few options of accompaniments but are ideal. Pork is simply divine! What a delicious spice! The restaurant is very small and it is common to have a queue at the door. There must be about 10 places to settle down and eat. But the service is super fast. You take your sandwich and eat. I will eat there every day I am in Edinburgh !! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
B.
This is a great stop for fast food in bustling Edinburgh. The sandwiches are so good. Mine was gone in sort order. They quickly served our party of six. Seating is beyond limited but that’s how it is area here. Staff were friendly to us foreigners. Will eat here again when visiting.
B. D.
Walked past this place a few times and marvelled at the sight in the window of the roast pig. Finally took the opportunity to try it out, the queue outside was long so that’s a good sign, wasn’t a empty chair inside so it looked like we would be standing outside to eat.
Ordered a small bun and two meat boxes.
The haggis stuffing is lovely. Highly recommend it.
The meat is very salty, soft and juicy, the crackling is lovely.
For what we paid I was chuffed with the portion size.
Wish the owners would make a deal with the place next door to allow you to sit in the wooden seating area that has been built on the road.
All in all, if they could get some more seating place this would make the place perfect.
E. L. H.
This place is a tiny place where the menu is small but the flavour amazing! Some of the best roast pork I've ever had and for a very gentle price at £6 for the box. There aren't too many accompaniments for the gluten-free but the staff was happy to help provide allergen info! The meat is juicy and super tender and the Bramley apple sauce was the perfect match - only wish I got a bit more sauce since there was so much meat in the box! My husband got the sandwich with the haggis stuffing and destroyed it! It gets crowded but the line moves fast - and it comes in waves cause the next minute you look and the whole place empties out! 5 minutes later it'll be bustling again. Would definitely recommend.
K. K.
This place is seriously packed, but since everyone mostly pack and go, you just need to be patient and queue. As the name suggested, this is the place to pig out on the best pulled pork. We ordered a 80g meat-only instead of the regular burger as we just had our lunch. The steaming hot pulled pork were packed into a box and a couple of pieces of crackling pork skin were added. There were about 5 or 6 sauces that you can add - we chose mustard mayo. Verdict - amazingly good pulled pork and crackling skin that makes you want to go back again!
B. K.
Food was fantastic here but they could improve in a few ways.
The meat is excellent and they go well with the rolls.
When you first walk in there are a lot of people. You feel rushed to order and don't have time to read anything. The service didn't help with this at all.
I imagine once you are familiar with what you want and how to order sauces the experience will be better but for first timers it took away from the enjoyment.
Nonetheless I had the largest oink sandwich with a spicy chili sauce and it was excellent. Would come back.
F. G. d. R.
Great pork surprisingly made delicious by adding the traditional apple-based sauce. Quite expensive, though — overpriced, even. Staff could be friendlier, too, hence the four stars.
T. W.
This is simply perfect food. Grab one of these sandwiches and take it with you to cruse through Edinburgh. The meat is juicy and pulls apart just like it should. Plus they have nice buns to go with. The prices are also good so you don't have to worry about spending a fortune just to eat.
K. L.
The hog displayed behind the window isn't just for show. By the time we finished walking around here, a good chunk was already gone.
Made us curious enough to buy it for the airport. I was pleasantly surprised by the flavour profile of how good it tasted after a good hour. I liked how they had many size and sauce options to choose from.
R. M.
OMG so good! It’s a really small place and gets busy really quick. So expect a long line or get there early. Because once it’s gone it’s gone. The guys were great at explaining the toppings and what their favorites are. Will definitely be back next time I’m in Edinburgh.
Y. S. T.
Super delicious hog roast and the apple sauce is a must! Price is very affordable
U. G.
Great place to grab a quick bite. Service was fast and staff were very friendly. The sandwich tasted absolutely amazing, but that might depend on your choice of filling and sauce. For round 2 I have tried the apple sauce as some reviewers suggested, but found it to be too sweet to my taste. Highly recommend trying it. 4/5 only due to the limited menu.
H. H.
Very good...so good you might find a queue in the front door. However the staff is so efficient that you won't queue for more than 5 minutes. The roast is very tasty and quite affordable. After one sandwich I was ready to carry on the rest or the day...option with haggis is highly recommend
S. B.
Very fresh food, great quality. Shortbread tasted amazing too and we loved the pig shapes they came in!
A. P.
Delicious pork, served simply and quickly for a reasonable price considering location. The homemade BBQ sauce that they used was stated as homemade and was lovely. They have a nice small variety of toppings and sauces which compliment the pork perfectly
P. O.
If you want a quick bite while roaming the streets of Edinburgh, this place is where you have to go! The Pork sandwiches come in three sizes: small, medium and large. The rest of the fixings are up to you. I had the small size with haggis, chili jam and ask them tho throw some crackling on there..BOY, WAS THAT GOOD! If you're a pig lover, this is a place worth the visit!
E. V.
Great sandwiches, good portions and variety of sauces. Great service. 10/10 would recommend
A. G.
Great pork roll with apple, haggis and crackle. One of the best I've had. Fair pricing, perfect for a quick lunch on a cold day.
D. F.
Absolutely love visiting this place every time I am in Edinburgh. The food and the portion size has never disappointed.
The selection is of course limited to pork as shown but the sizes and what is included with the main filling does vary and you can specify what you would like to complete your perfect hog roast bap 😍
The place is small but there is places to sit at the front and back of the store.
Staff have always been extremely friendly & chatty. I’ve heard them explain to tourists many times how it works and it’s always been very polite and welcoming.
Recommend this place to anyone.
H.
Great value for money. I would prefer more sauce in the rolls (because it was a bit dry with some bites) and bigger portion of crackling.
K. A.
Yummy, apple sauce and haggis is the way to go. For me the food felt pretty heavy while/after eating.
J. C.
Quick, casual, and trendy. Pulled pork sandwiches with a choice of stuffing and sauce. Great location at the Royal Mile near Edinburgh Castle. They've even got a sandwich, crisps, and drink meal deal for £6.
L. P.
This place is amazing. The pulled pork is juicy and flavorful. When you walk in, the pig is right in the front window. The menu is very simple and straightforward. There are three sizes of sandwich, different spreads and even a gluten/bun free option. I had the medium sized sandwich with a mustard mayonnaise spread. They also ask if you want a piece of crackling skin. Of course I do! They have a fridge with drink options as well. It is a cosy little shop. There's room for about maybe 15 to sit down. We were lucky and snagged the window seat table. We shared it with another couple. I can definitely recommend heading to Oink. A great place for a bite to eat.
A. N. F.
A MUST have if you are a pork lover in the area! We walked past this restaurant around lunch time and there was a line out he door so we decided to come back. I am so glad we did because this was the best sandwich I have ever had! We will be back!
G. G.
A must taste! Very simple: choose size, choose the bread (white or brown) and choose the sauce.
Really tasty and cheap pulled pork sandwiches! Is always full of people and there is room for 8-10 people inside.
Best take away/fast food option in the city
D. L.
WOW... the best pulled pork I ever had. With mustard mayo... so yummy. The bread roll could be nicer. Is such a soft, un-crunchy sponge.
But the meet... 👍👍👍
A. B.
I went because I missed a good pulled pork sandwich like they do on America. It is similar, but it has a Scottish twist on it. The price is good and the staff is friendly. The sandwich was great!
A. B.
i wish i could give 10 stars! Medium size (oink) is brutal also, feeds ye fer whole day long and dont forget to ask for some crispy skin!
S. W. T.
Love love love the food. Tried haggis for the first time and it blew my mind. Talk about delicious. They also have a great selection of sources especially the chilli jam. OMG! And if you happen to be on Keto they have the meat only box, which is what I went for with 250 grams of meat. The crackling is crunchy but be careful not to break your tooth on it.
J. W.
As a North Carolinian I am always suspect of pulled pork outside the Tar Heel state, but this place delivers. The pork is delicious on its own, but when you combine it with the local delicacy of haggis you get something truly unique and downright tasty. Everyone visiting Edinburgh should have lunch here.
R. M.
Delicious! It's not as greasy as I expected, I had mine with apple sauce and the combination is amazing. It's hard to have a sandwich this good that's not ridiculously overpriced, specially if you sit in somewhere.
The sizes are convenient too, I've tried both the small and the medium and they're good for a lighter lunch (it's not light by any means though) or just a regular lunch, and much tastier and cheaper than sandwiches at any café/pubs in the area.
I totally recommend!
C. L. L.
Delicious pulled pork sandwiches, the guys in charge of the food are kind and very friendly.
M. Y.
Oink oink! 9/10 pigs hate it, but we loved it! Simple crispy pork with just enough customizations for your average human.
S. P.
Been wanting to go here for years and never got round to it. The pork was amazing, so tasty. I had the biggest one as I'm just greedy and it definitely filled me up. Didn't even have room for the crisps. Definitely going back there again on my next visit to Edinburgh.
T. G.
Not worth the hype.
There’s so much more delicious food in Edinburgh
D. N.
Their pulled pork is heaven. It was crowded but we didn’t have to wait too long to order. Delicious.
M. K.
Popular option for a quick lunch. Menu comprises of fresh hog roast. You just choose how much meat you want, kind of bread, stuffing (apple, haggis) & which sauce. Other options can be added & there's also a meal deal. Very good food & value for money
J. S.
Nice pork sandwiches but the meat need more flavour intensity. The bread us the really downside, it became very soggy because of the sauce.
M. F.
I thought my sandwiches were good until i had the privilege of taste one at this place, just delicious! Also a lovely staff. PD: Their apple sauce should be world heritage.
W. C.
I really was hoping for something better. It was fat and without flavour, taste. I would use much more seasonings to it.
The bakery could be better, this one was fake like from a supermarket.
Price ok but I think i could have better food.
Next time I would also take the most spicy variant so maybe it would help with the taste.
L. M.
Service was good however it seemed pricey and I wasn’t too impressed by the sandwich. Looking at the reviews everyone loves Oink though so maybe I should give it a second chance sometime! The queue outside Victoria Street is what caught my eye.
S. S.
This image is a comprehensive description of what Oink offers.
The hog sandwich was slightly different from my regular food habits. But I liked the chili jam they served my sandwich with
C. R.
Saw a queue, joined it! Had an amazing lunch! So simple but so tasty!
A. C.
What a concept! Smoke a whole hog perfectly, put it in the window over burners to keep it warm, and pull from it to make moist, succulent sandwiches until it runs out. It's also inexpensive. Eat here if you are in Edinburgh.
M. O.
Great food, generous portion. Well worth a visit
R. W.
The food was amazing and the staff was super friendly. I highly recommend this place for anyone visiting Edinburgh, but go early so you don't miss out!
J. M.
Had a really good sandwich here and would go back and have another. The sandwich was the oink size and it was the perfect size to fill you up.
A. P.
Delicious pork, served simply and quickly for a reasonable price considering location. The homemade BBQ sauce that they used was stated as homemade and was lovely. They have a nice small variety of toppings and sauces which compliment the pork perfectly
E. L. H.
This place is a tiny place where the menu is small but the flavour amazing! Some of the best roast pork I've ever had and for a very gentle price at £6 for the box. There aren't too many accompaniments for the gluten-free but the staff was …

Best place for a quick munch in the city!
A. G.
Great pork roll with apple, haggis and crackle. One of the best I've had. Fair pricing, perfect for a quick lunch on a cold day.
A. N. F.
A MUST have if you are a pork lover in the area! We walked past this restaurant around lunch time and there was a line out he door so we decided to come back. I am so glad we did because this was the best sandwich I have ever had! We will be back!
H. C.
Perfect Roasted Pork Skin! Please request the roasted skin from the staff! A must try in Edinburgh. The young handsome staff was very friendly and enthusiastic!
S. M.
Excellent hog roast.
L. P.
Always busy, but always worth it

Not that great. Also not bad. So so.

Delicious food and very quick service.

Would be great to have some gravy
Otherwise yummy CLARK xxx

Super duper awesome pulled pork burger! Happened to pop by n it was amazing. Go with the Haggis filling too :)
J.
Delicious pork buns! I had a pork and Haggis sandwich with apple sauce. Total recommendation!
A. D.
Best pork I ever ate in my life.
K. A.
It's really delicious but little bit expensive ..it's too small for 5.40pound ..that's why I will give them 3 stars..
U. U.
Excellent food. We ordered the shreded roasted pork on a sandwich. Loads of options for the sauces. Price is very reasonable.
C. T.
Very small eatery with a very limited menu, but wow is it delicious. The sandwiches are so flavourful and the service friendly. Definitely worth checking out.
S.
Delicious for a quick lunch - huge portions and cheap prices. The window may be very off putting for veggies or vegans though so please be warned!
L. C.
Best street food in Old Town, better than any fish and chips. Available in 3 sizes and many other options this is a must go place in Edinburgh
N. A.
Pulled pork was a little dry. The apple spear was great. Lunch meal deal is a steal.
G.
Perfect food for good prices. Located in the old town it is a must to try in the city.
J. S. F.
One of the best food I ate in Edinburgh, is really worth it!
V. N.
Very nice food, friendly staff
c.
Pro tip: order two rolls and put one in the bag for later. Forget about it, and enjoy the tastiest pocket surprise ever! The pork and the roll will fuse together, and create a whole seperate eating experience. I don't think I would eat here often if I lived nearby, but every other month I find myself craving pocket hog.
D. W.
Amazing Sandwich and the crackling is to die for.

No time to read reviews? Here's a summary: oh my God 100/10.
Go. Just. Go.
Words can't describe how delicious and filling the pulled pork "burgers" and plates are. You can choose the size of the burger, or if you want it on a plate, a variety of sauces and garnish.
It's just beautiful. It's poetry. It's love.
I couldn't recommend it enough, and if I could I'd go back in a heartbeat.
The chances of me booking a flight for Edinburgh, just for this place, are very, very high.
No photos because I was so busy enjoying the food and trying to figure out how many portions I could take back home.
K. M.
Best sandwich on the go. Not a place for vegetarians or if you want to sit down.
N. L.
Simple place. Only one alternative to eat: pulled pork sandwiches, with a variety of sauces. But holy pork! They make it great.
C. C. W.
Small place that serve delicious pulled pork sandwich. Limited seating.
C. S.
Loved the food! Wow our rolls were crammed full of pulled pork. Awesome little shop and is a must if you are in Edinburgh. Grab a space to sit before it's gone and enjoy the vibe inside
G. F.
Just the most perfect moist delicious pork on roll. Pork does not get much better. They should consider selling it in a container to take home not just on a roll. I am sure my wife would have added some nice vegetables for a great dinner once I got home tonight to Paisley.
P. D.
Very flavourful pulled pork burger. Would definitely recommend!
H. J.
Very tasty and affordable. Expect a line.
J. X.
Love the foods here, the pulled pork is juicy and taste just nice. We keep coming back for it.
A. C. S. L. H.
This is the most delicious pork sandwich that I have ever had, it is juicy and full of flavour. I love the ways you can customise it, simple but super delicious. I have been there couple of times, great costumer service. The only cons for me is that there is no much space to sit.
L. B.
Oink serves amazingly tender pork! No matter what filling you choose, your sandwich is going to be absolutely delicious. Definitely a must!
P. O.
Good place for something different to eat
D. D. T.
Ok but really familiar with sauce should go to
S. N.
Very tasty pork sandwich. You can come here for a quick bite. Better than usual fast food chain KCF or Burger King. Sometimes very crowded, tiny space to sit in.
D. C.
If you love pork (and crackling) you WILL LOVE THIS PLACE!!!
J. R.
Juicy Sandwich !!!! Great flavour 👍
N. A.
Pulled pork was a little dry. The apple spear was great. Lunch meal deal is a steal.
D. A.
This pulled pork sandwich fills your tummy quick. Although the pork skin, wasn't that crunchy, all in all the sandwich was delicious.
F. G.
Delicious hog roast sandwich. Will be here every time I come to Edinburgh.
f.
Stumbled across this joint, and was it worth it! The roast sandwich is absolutely delicious! Staff were also very kind to explain the range of toppings and sauces available. This place is a must visit to all those who love oinks (Pigs).
K. G.
Great place for a quick and budget friendly lunch. The portion sizes are plentiful and the meat itself is succulent. Soooo good!! 😁
J. R.
It's a really tiny place, but the line moves quickly. The hog roast is amazingly moist and flavorful. I went with the sage & onion and chili jam on white and boy was it good! My daughter had the same, but with the BBQ sauce, which unfortunately wasn't nearly as good.
F. P.
So this was the first pulled pork I've tasted and it was really good. Nice place with friendly people. All along really nice:)
A. A.
You must try!!!! I think this is the best pulled pork in the world, so tender and juicy. Absolutely gonna come back another time.
S. L.
Possible the best cheap it place in Edinburgh! The roasted pulled pork is always sooo good, never a complaint. I fully recommend getting in early as there is always a que.
L. A.
You must eat here! Hands down the best pork sandwich I’ve ever eaten. Whole pug in the window from which they take the pork for your sandwich. Top off with onion and sage stuffing. Go early because once it’s gone, it’s gone. We went later in the afternoon and were lucky enough to get the next to last sandwiches. No crackle was left though. We’re heading back for lunch again.

Was recommended to go here by a tour guide in the area. They did not disappoint! Their pulled pork is fresh and full of flavour. You know the foods good when the line up is outside the door, but trust me, it’s worth the wait!
F. B.
Best bit of grub in the whole of Edinburgh! Really friendly and warm staff. The pork is juicy, succulent and delicious! This is a must if you like pork. Never had better in the UK! We are definitely coming back!
k.
Best pulled roast pork I ever had 🤤
B. C.
I really enjoyed this place. I liked the fact the meat was from the farm owned by the shop and it tasted amazing! The choice of toppings / base was great too. I like the fact that you can choose the size of the sandwich - I went for an ordinary 'oink' which definitely filled me up for only £3.80. The only thing Onik could do better would be to serve the pork on nicer rolls but not a major problem.
D. A.
This pulled pork sandwich fills your tummy quick. Although the pork skin, wasn't that crunchy, all in all the sandwich was delicious.
N. B.
The price was understandable!! :)
But when you finish it, you'll feel very greasy.
R. J.
Love this place! So tasty. Quick easy and great price. Highly recommend! A+++
M. P.
Great spot for a quick bite. Very affordable and delicious.
A. B.
Went for the Grunter with Sage and onion stuffing and apple sauce. Must have it with crackling. Succulent.
T. T.
Very tasty and surprisingly not salty.
G. Y.
Quick meal and they served it quickly. I got a box - essentially shredded roast pork, stuffing and some haggis with a chili cheese sauce.
I could have done with a bit more sauce, as the pork was a little overpowering towards the end, maybe a little salt/pepper too but that's my fault for not adding it.
Decent, possibly a little expensive for what it was but a quick hot meal.
M. H.
The sandwich of pulled pork is craved by many people, so expect to wait a little. The line is moving pretty fast, which makes it okay to wait.
In my personal opinion, there was too less sauce which also was positioned poorly. With a better portioning, I can imagine the sandwich to be great.
R.
IT WAS FANTASTIC!!! I ordered a grunter on white bread with sage and onion stuffing with apple sauce. I just wanted something quick and tasty so I saw this. they had an easy to follow step by step guide for the options you can add. Best meal I've had ever!!
G.
I was in Edinburgh for the Fringe and I would say that this is the best snack go have in town. I was walking through Victoria Lane and the queue outside was ridiculous, so it must be good and it was!!
It's very simple: bread, hog roast, and sauce. I went for large white with haggis and apple. It was so good that I came back to have another one within an hour or so.
J. M.
Hog roast - if you like it. It's a small shop and a good stop if you are looking for a snack or a meal to go. Not a lot of seating and can be quite crowded.
Oink is a chain selling hog roast. They have a whole hog roasting in the store and you get to choose how you want to have your meat (size and toppings). Have been to different outlets a few times during my time in Edinburgh - quite good what they offer.
N. L.
This place offers amazing pulled pork. The place offers a simple, non fuss dining experience. Menu is very simple which works well. Portions are generous and staff are helpful. I will definitely return a few times during my time in Edinburgh!
M. P.
Cozy shop with the whole hog displayed at the shop corner. It will be harder to find seating during lunch hours, but turnaround is pretty fast so just have to wait for a seat to be free. The food was delicious, with moist and soft pulled pork between buns.
L. W.
I hiked Arthur's Seat early in the morning, and had worked up quite an appetite! I entered at the bottom end of The Royal Mile to walk up and find somewhere to grab some lunch. Much to my pleasure, there on the left I saw a magnificently large roast pig in the window of a place called 'Oink'. The name alone would have brought me in, but that pig in the window looked delicious. The inside was cute, clean, and the staff was very friendly! But the food... holy hell the food! It is what dreams are made of! I quite literally will dream about those pulled pork sandwiches for the rest of my life! I ordered mine without the haggis, and instead had the chutney jam; LIFE CHANGING! I don't think I even breathed while I ate that sandwich. And when it was gone I literally wanted to go order another one. I did... but I waited until the next day! I could eat there everyday if I lived in Edinburgh. The price was fantastic, and the food is amazing! Do yourself a favor and go Oink yourself the next time you're in Edinburgh. Recommend this pace and you did’nt disappointed.
R. F.
The place is small and the menu is simple. It is basically just pulled pork and it is the best pulled pork in edinburgh. I am very happy with the food. It is super tasty and cheap!
The only reason I put 4 stars instead of five is because the staffs are not friendly at all. I have eaten there four times and the staff always looked very unhappy.
S. D.
Amazing as you'd expect from it's popularity. Crackling is everything and you don't have to pay extra for it. But the place is tiny and was very busy around lunch time. We did manage to perch on stools but had a lot of people stood around us. There is another one around 10 min walk towards the high street in new town that looked bigger and less crowded.
P. B.
The hog rolls are perfect, not much else you can say really. Excellent crackling, delicious stuffing and a choice of sauces. Apple was good but wish I'd have gone for the chilli cheese in hindsight. Only a few seats available but people are in and out pretty quickly
A. P.
Loved the meat! It was pretty busy when I ate here, but I had my family lunch sandwiches in no time, deliciously cooked, and they happily gave me some of the crispy skin, I definitely recommend it if you're walking around the city or for a quick break!
L. S.
One of the best sandwiches I've had in a long while. Meat is tender and generous portions. Very much a take away - not a chilled place to linger but delicious and amazing value.
S. D.
Best pork ever eaten! It's a must in Edinburgh city center! Go and try it!!
C. A.
Delicious! I had an Oink with haggis and chili cheese sauce on brown bread. It was perfect. The place was busy, but the line moved quickly, so not much waiting. There isn't much seating available there, but there's plenty in nearby parks.
B. M. L.
If you pass by, it will catch your eye cause they have a whole shredded pig in the shop window and it is not the nicest thing to see. Well, it is by far the best shredded pork that I have ever tasted, juicy, tasty… A must if you visit Edinburgh.
K. A.
Great pulled pork, amazing crackling. Try the chilli cheese sauce.
D.
Visited Edinburgh and saw this place. Gave it a try, absolutely no regrets. Lovely staff, lovely pork and great haggis, bit too salty for my own liking but I guess thats what makes the pork and haggis taste so nice. I greatly recommend this place for a quick bite or a big box!
R. M.
Solid pork sandwich, cheap and quick... no complaints!!
S. C.
Quick, cheap and totally delicious! The menu is small but perfectly formed (a bit like the place) but the staff are super friendly and the pork is delicious. We both had the oink and the serves were both generous and filling.
A. D.
Delicious food and very quick service.
J. W.
If you like loose meat pork go here. As someone that cooks pulled pork American style I can say this was wonderful. Make sure you get some of the cracklins on the side. I think they call it something different... Excellent food, great service, quick food!
A. M.
Quite simply the best hog roast sandwich I've ever had. Crackling was crispy and salty, the meat dissolved in your mouth and was ridiculously juicy too. If you go up Victoria Street you have to go here.
W. M.
I came here twice on a 3 day visit to Edinburgh. The pork itself is flavored in a simple way, which is how I like it. It is not soaked in barbecue sauce like others cook it. Combined with Sage and Onion and Mayo, it was very tasty.
J.
One of my favourites as a student and reaffirmed this weekend. Simple as you like: stick a tonne of fresh pork into a white or brown bun with haggis or sage & onion, and apple or bbq sauce. What’s not to like?
Note: they finish service when the day’s pig is done so don’t arrive too late. We got lucky and were served one of the final baps.
j.
I'm a regular in oinks, the pork is amazing but just feel they lack any creativity with the meat and do no justice with cheap store bought rolls and pretty poor condiments.
you can do so much more with that fine delicious pork you produce!!!
K. W.
This is a must go to!! The pork is so good and the price is unbeatable. Only negative thing is that the store is very small but I usually just take my sandwich down to grassmarket and sit on a bench if the weather is nice. But the food is so good and would definitely recommend!!
R. N.
Nice moist pork sandwich. Haggis spread was delicious. Great for a quick bite
S. C.
We were served very quickly during a Friday lunch rush hour service. Oink serves incredibly tasty fast food. I would recommend for the full Scottish experience opting for haggis rather than onions / apples for stuffing.
I would also suggest not attempting to sit in to eat the meal - we walked up to Edinburgh Castle and ate our lunch with a view.
e. c.
It’s delicious!the pork was very much with the sauce!I can eat a lot!
M. H.
My wife and I visited Oink on a recommendation from our guide on a "foodie" tour of Edinburgh. The line for a late lunch was out the door and winding down the street, but it was *definitely* worth the wait.
There's a tiny space to eat inside, but it's generally full at peak times. Luckily, the sandwiches are easy to devour (and you will!) as you walk away.
D. H.
Oh my lord! The best pulled pork sandwiches I've ever known! And a great variety of sauces. Very friendly staff who deal well with a large rush. All they're missing is gravy (hint hint).
W. L.
Get there early! Absolutely delicious pork sandwiches!
J. T.
Great slow roasted hog. The place is small and often crowded. There is a larger Oink over by Holyrood. I was glad to see that I could get mine with out a roll in a takeaway box. Very tasty.
S. Y.
This is comfort food at its fastest. Slow roasted pig served on a fresh roll with your choice of condiments.
The service is very fast and queues quickly disappear due to focused menu. Seating is limited so make that meal to go!
C. P.
Never, absolutely never had so tasty pulled pork! It's like heaven in a mouth. Meat was so juicy and tender. You just want keep coming back for more. Please open one in Rugby!!!
B. C.
The pulled pork itself with the skill fully crafted crackling not an easy process even for the best of chefs adds to the experience when eating the sandwich and topped with their very own homemade apple sauce is delicious.
I enjoyed mine with their homemade soup today a pulled pork and tomato broth with beans and vegetables. Greed had the better of me as I also took away one of their new again homemade sausage rolls.
Now there are sausage rolls made in factories far far away and transported here frozen full of some pink gunk and sold cheaply throughout the land.
But at this place You pay for what you get and these are worth every penny seasoned minced Pork and I have to be honest I can't remember ever tasting something as good as this, for a sausage roll that is.
a very big lunch time welcome than the usual sandwich. Fast turn around and a very clean display counter which the staff are constantly wiping down.
L. C.
Very delicious very easy menu you basically get a sandwich where you pick your size, stuffing, and sauce. My bread got soggy before I could finish it due to the sauce. Lots of good flavor though.
S. Z.
Passed this place randomly and saw people queuing up, the hog in the window definitely caught our attention. Came back a little later of that day and had a big bun. It was absolutely delicious, also the staff are quite nice!
A. L. P.
Oink is simple: They serve one thing, and they serve it perfect. This thing they serve is pulled hog roast. The best pulled hog roast you're gonna find in the town and probably in the country! It's delicious with any of the sauces!
H. E.
Omg!!! Gorgeous!!! You have to visit here!!! Be brave and try it with the haggis, tastes lush!!!
S.
Amazing! Got it with haggis and chilli jam and crackling on top. The sweet of the chilli jam, the savoury haggis, the juicy tender pulled pork and crispy crackling all balanced perfectly. Got the medium (160g) and couldn't finish Was my first time but definitely will not be my last! (I would have taken a pic but it was just too damn tasty!)
O. H.
Absolutely delicious! The food here is the best we had all trip.
L. B. H.
While the serving sizes were generous the meat itself didn't have much flavour. Recommend the middle size to get more flavour from the sauce.
K. E.
Simple menu done exceptionally well. Haggis as a spread is a brilliant idea. Plan to take away, it's quite small, but grassmarket is just down the street and has lots of benches!
M. M.
Best place for a quick munch in the city!
T. M.
If you like pork, a quick, tasty and cheap snack this is the right place!
G. S. T.
Delicious hog roast available in the centre of Edinburgh.
Perfect lunch meal, can get a hot hog bun, crisps and juice in a meal deal. It’s quite small to eat in but with Grassmarket just down the street there are loads of places to sit and enjoy the city vibe whilst you eat away.
The food is always delicious with a range of options of additional fillings (included in the price).
If you’re in Edinburgh for a visit, be sure to stop by Oink.
s. s.
Nice juicy pork but skin is quite salty
M. M.
Pulled meat seems to be all the rage at the moment and I'm not complaining. There is something very hearty and satisfying about a soft roll overflowing with delicious and juicy pulley pork goodness and drizzles of apple sauce.
The little shop on Victoria Street is probably a vegetarians worst nightmare with a whole hog roast perched in the window. It's very popular and quite rightly as it's super tasty and fairly reasonably. Rolls come in a variety of sizes from piglets to grunters. I would thoroughly recommend a visit.
t. t.
Very tasty and big portions Grunter sandwich with haggis, onion and sauce - yummy! Highly recommend it to anyone (maybe not to vegetarians :D - you don't know what you are missing...) If you are taking it outside don't forget to grab some tissues - I didn't and then was covered in sauce :D Enjoy!
S. D.
Pulled pork roll with apple sauce and sage and onion stuffing... simply lovely. Nothing too fancy. Good value £6.50 meal deal with a drink (mocha) and crisps
R. K. (.
Some of the best tacos I've ever eaten were here at Oink&Moo. They have pork, steak and chicken tacos not to mention sliders and ribs. They have a list of sides such as mac and cheese (delicious), greens, sweet potato and cornbread!
H.
Brown bread, Pulled pork with Haggis and spicy cheese...
The world's most accurate words can't describe the absolute masterpiece that is the Oink Sandwich. Juicy...abundance of pork and a simple foil wrapping. I challenge ANYONE who loves meat NOT to love this!
A. C.
Simple little store selling one thing and one thing well - roast hog rolls. This was a lunchtime favourite between rehearsals during my week long stay for Fringe festival. It is impossible not to be tempted by the smell of succulent roast pork as you walk by, and the whole roast hog, complete with apple in its mouth was the dealbreaking lure. The rolls are piled high with the pulled pork and you can choose from sauces including apple sauce and stuffing. They also sandwich in a cheeky piece of crackling - incredible.
H. K.
Don't bother going here if you can't eat pork. If you can eat pork, GO HERE IMMEDIATELY! It's a no fuss sandwich but it's so good. Pick your size, some stuffing, a sauce, and always say yes to crackling. Yum.
P. C.
If you are looking for eating something different and fast and for a few pound this is your place! It is good but i expected to be better! It is really small and difficult to get a chair to eat there but it was good
K. S.
The best pulled pork sandwiches. Available in three sizes.I ate medium with haggis and chili. That was perfect snack in good prize and tasty!
I recommend this place everyone.
A. R. R.
Order the grunter. The oink was not worth it at the price, the bread to meat ratio was off.
E. G.
Great local food, well worth it to try.
V.
Good but Not juicy enough for us. Add a topping make it more delicious.
D. S.
Yup. Really an excellent pulled pork for quite cheap (6.50£ for a medium sandwich, a drink and crisps; 4.50£ for a medium sandwich alone). Loved it. Not much room inside so take it out!
e. w.
local way of hog roasting of burger. you try if you visit Edinburgh...
S. M.
Best Pulled Pork Rolls, great stuffing and awesome crackling. Great snack when walking around Edinburgh. One can choose the size of your roll, depending on your appetite. Just super tasty!
D. O.
My wife got a pork sandwich here during a recent visit to Edinburgh. She was very pleased with the sandwich and the reasonable price. Highly recommended.
c. m.
There are always a lot of people so I don´t advise you to go at peak times. We were recommended by the guide and we were disappointed at all.The place is very small and has very few tables but they serve you very quickly. The roast pork sandwiches are typical here.
G. H.
In a world full of choice Oink keep thing simple.
Slow roast pork on a roll available in small medium or large. Granted you can pick a white or brown roll and BBQ, apple or chilli sauce but at the heart of it is simply a very tasty pig roll.
Although the new branch on the Royal Mile can sometimes be a bit to continent
T. F.
Wonderful food. Reasonable price. Come early. No queues
c. 8.
I love this place. Every time I am in Edinburgh I go here and get a grunter. One of my favourite places to eat. Would be a fat man if there was one in Dublin. Highly recommend.
R. P.
Discovered last time I was in Edinburgh and now it's a must to go back to every time I am in town! Great stuff and amazing food :)
C. S.
A very nice pulled pork sandwich right off the pig, your choice of extras, just the thing after a busy morning walking around Edinburgh. But get in quick once they are sold out they are done for the day.
T. C.
Impossible to walk by and not get a quick roasted pork sandwich - the roasted pig is right in the window! I wanted this to be a 5 star place... Food was really good but missed the mark a tiny bit - hard to say why... Perhaps I would rate it higher if I had one after a few pints.
T. B.
Decent value for money but not the best pork sandwich I've ever had. Didn't really live up to expectations but a good quick bite if you're passing by.
A. T.
The place looked like a war zone, leftover food all over on the floor.
The sizes are misleading, as if you want a small sandwich, you're presented with a baby bun. Would not come back anytime soon
A. M.
This place might be hard to find at first - but it's hard to miss the huge hog spit roast right in the front window! Good, honest, hardy food. If you like pork and are feeling famished this place is definitely worth a visit.
M. Z.
Very sweet little shop with a nice and tasty non-vegetarian snack. I stumbled over the cute name when strolling through Edinburgh from the grassmarket. Now I can highly recommend it for the "oinky" takeaway or stay in experience - if you're lucky and pop in early you may get some crispy "oink" since it's all made fresh as it seems.
S. Z.
Yeesh, this is so unassuming because their branding looks like that of a tourist trap but the food is great.
C. P.
Well ...........................Oinky goodess in a bap!!!
I went here a good few months ago, and I loved it !! How pllued pork has taken off and it is soo tasty. This little place is great for meat craving. We got a pulled pork roll with stuffing and we managed to grab a little seat next to the window and chomp chomp. Its not the fancied of places, infact id say that its more of a takeaway, grab and go styleee. Definatley worth trying and great value for money.
T. D.
Cool place! Nice concept and good food
I. B.
In the scant few months I've lived in Edinburgh I've come here several times and each time the food has been stellar. The pork is moist and salty, the crackling is crispy, and the rolls are damn good.
M. T.
Delicious! Get the extra crackling!
Z.
Reminded me of my childhood when at southern barbecues where we would roast a whole pig. Meet was flavorful and moist, and that little bit of pig skin that they put in with every sandwich is delightful.
L. P.
Always busy, but always worth it
A. L.
First time visiting and at first was sceptical paying £6 for one roll but the food was fantastic and will go again
J. T.
Great place to have a quick lunch for a decent price. Friendly staff and good portions. The flavoring could be a little bit stronger though
Y. K.
The pork is wonderful on its own but the sage and onion stuffing and mayo mustard sauce make it even better. Friendly staff, but it seems like they only give the delicious crackling upon request
I. L.
Staffs are very kind and food is really good
Prices are generally lower than the other places. I strongly recommend chilli cheese sauce when you order the burger
T. H.
pro tip: get the grunter over hog in a box, get extra sauce. enjoy!
D. D. T.
Ok but really familiar with sauce should go to
S. B.
Strange meal, it's a bit horrible to show the pig likes that, but the sandwich wasnt that bad
N. P.
I will give it a solid 8/10. The pork is amazing, jiucy and flavorful and the price is worth it. The only thing I did not like it is that it is too salty.
c.
Amazing rolls filled with pork, my favourite is to get a bit of stuffing and a bit of haggis and apple sauce. Not for vegan or vegetarians, there is a whole roast hog in the window!
P.
Good little sammies-not the best but good choices, like chopped apples cut up and thrown in. Bread could have been fresher. They were running low on pork when we went.
C. H.
OINK Rules 🤪. Pulled Pork at it's best. A Must have, when you visit Edinburgh.
T. P.
I’m from NC in the States where BBQ (pulled pork) is king. This place has some of the best pulled pork I’ve had. Great lunch stop.
S. C.
Delicous! The home made mayo/mustard spread is the best option. Make sure you ask for a piece of crispy skin! It puts the sandwich over the top!
V. J.
Absolutely cracking pork baps! Super portion sizes and price. Proper filled bap with haggis ans apple sauce! A great way to start the day!
M. S.
Great Scotish food with very kind staff. Nice option if you are hungry and don't want to wait, small space. Perfect for take-away.
V. s.
The food was very quick and tasty. Portion size is filling if you get the biggest one. The display is very cool to see.
N.
Amazing pork and stuffing rolls. Limited seating and there can be queues down the street during peak times but it's worth the wait!
J. R.
Juicy Sandwich !!!! Great flavour 👍
S. S.
Yummy pork , try it with haggis or the chili jam topping. The piglet is a great size for a light meal !
H. P.
So. Good.
It's awesome to walk by and see the pig roasting in the window. The smell is AMAZING. So is the taste! Glad I stopped by here when I was visiting Edinburgh.
J. B.
Most delicious pulled pork sandwich I have ever eaten.
A. F.
Haggis and pulled pork meal deal only 6 pounds a lovely dinner . Shop is a bit small for eating it but foods was lovely
I.
Passed by this place and the line was out the door, automatically you know it has to be good. The roast was out of this world good, super cheap, and extremely filling. 11/10 would recommend.
A. M.
Pulled pork on a roll with a delicious bbq sauce and haggis..Fabulous
J. B.
It's a simple Hog Roast roll but I'll always stop by here when in the area. Well worth it if you're peckish and want something quick and tasty.
T. M.
Such a good bite of lunch! Perfect size and succulence! Don't be afraid of the optional haggis filling. It is good!
P. P.
Perfect place for a walking lunch, fresh pork from a,spit roast pig casually resting in the window, expect a short queue and a filled tum. Explodes with flavor.
J. B. T.
Relatively cheap for a quick bite in Edinburgh. Quality is also pretty good. I personally feel that it's more of a finger food than a proper meal.
P. O.
Good place for something different to eat
I. S.
You could try this nice pork sandwich that everyone seems to be so hyped about. It really is delicious, even though you don’t expect much when you see the place and the long line 😅
S. H.
Small pork sandwich place with great price and great taste. It is located at a street reminded me of Harry Potter. You will not be disappointed.
R. S.
Good flavour, got the large bun for £5.3 and it was a mouthful I will admit. Think they left out the crackling for mine by mistake, real shame. Would've been a five if not
R. H.
Roast Pig. On a Roll. Cheese sauce, apple sauce, chilli, haggis or stuffing. Crackling, A very simple proposition executed perfectly. Grab a Grunter (the largest size) and go sit in the grassmarket and watch the world go by (and make sure not to dribble pork over yourself), it's not an elegant dining proposition but by god it's good
T. C.
Not that great. Also not bad. So so.
S. S.
Wow! Perfect bite time, they are super fast, food is delicious, city tours explores recommend (Sara) we loved it!!! Totally recommend!!!
B. P.
Amazing cheap eats tucked into one of the inspirations for Diagon Alley. I would highly recommend this joint for a quick BBQ sandwich.
C. c.
Well the assistant is cuteeee and the food is cool
B. C.
Oink definitely lives up to it's hype. Very simple, yet delicious. The meat was perfect, and we got to try haggis!
J. R.
If you love pork ... you must visit Oink. I loved it. Cheers ...
E. E.
Not only the best pulled pork in town, it's the best in the world! You definitely have to try it if you're in Edinburgh!
S. C.
The meat is absolutely delicious, succulent. I wish the place was cleaner, but I guess that also depends on the people who come to eat there.
P. G.
One of my favourite places to grab a bite! The only reason I'm deducting a star is because I believe it could be a little bit cheaper. Would totally recommend it :)
S.
You can enjoy a comport and healthy food in a few minutes. the food has goo balance because the skin is crispy and meat is soft
J.
Love the choice of food here and it was a really nice experience
K. R.
Actually didn't eat there... it's either take away or at a counter. Too busy for us, but the meat looked delicious.
C. R.
The food's price, quality and taste are simply perfect.. highly recommended. I was barely able to finish the 180g portion
D. W.
It was so amazing! Visited Edinburgh during the summer of 2016, and I missed this place so much ! Hopefully I can go back some time soon!
K. M.
Roll with pulled pork really tasty and most important super fast.
Recommended for no only pork lovers.
I. Y.
Great and affordable pulled pork! Got the hog in a box with haggis and BBQ sauce. Enjoyed it on a cold rainy day.
R. D.
Amazing pork, gluten free option with no bread, I took my own bread and they were fine with that 😁
D. C.
Lovely staff and great food. Will deffo be going back for more
S. C.
Good spot
B.
good roasted pulled pork, nice people, ok price, although they have a tendency to drown it is mayo/sauce but that's probably up to me to say otherwise. Wish it would shut later.
N.
Sauces could be better. The sandwich assembly lacked love…slopped together.
또.
It was incredible! I went to yesterday. There's a friendly staff and amazing food also reasonable prices. Absolutely recommend it. You have to go there
D. C.
If you love pork (and crackling) you WILL LOVE THIS PLACE!!!
A. A.
Wonderful place . Get there early because once the meat is gone the restaurant closes. I suggest getting the small sandwich it's filled with lots of meat.
P. P.
Incredible food!!! I love puuled pork and this one exceeded my expectations. Staff was very friendly as well.
V.
Great pork roast, small place.
J. E.
I don't recommend going chill cheese if you want to taste your pork. Stuffing and Apple Sauce all the way!
G. T.
For those pork lover, it's one to try. Come early in the day, so you don't miss out. They roasted 3 whole pork a day.
L. R.
Delicious food! A "must visit" spot if you are nearby. This restaurant seemed to be popular with the locals as well as the tourists.
C. C.
A must-go for Edinburgh visitors. Very delicious pulled pork buns but would not set high expectations in terms of service.
N. N.
Really good pulled pork sandwiches and boxes. A bit crowded during lunch time though they should provide more space
L.
The best food I ever had the pleasure to eat. I was there on vacation only but I still consider booking a flight just to eat there again.
K. L.
Delicious pork! I recommend a salty sauce, that Apple sweet was not as sweet as I wanted ;-) next time with BBQ
F. H.
Excellent and cheap! The meat tasted really good and overall it was a really good pulled pork sandwich.
S.
Excellent panini’s pulled with pork !!! If you’re really hungry do not get meal deal, take a big one !!
R. W.
Awesome hog roast sandwiches. The Haggis stuffing is unreal! Perfect Post-EMF food!
B. K.
I had the pulled Hog & Haggish burger and damn that was some good stuff right there. Add some extra to sauce to it and BAM, killer snack. Must eat.
D. F.
Hog roast on a roll with a choice of sauces and stuffing. Simple, but brilliant. Soup too. There is another one on the Cannongate.
Z. 6.
Holly cow, or in this case, pig.. No words! We have been served in 10 sec, and the food was absolut FANTASTIC!
R. D.
Fantastic food, best Pork roll I've ever tasted. If you don't like this you must be a vegetarian
N. T.
Absolutely fantastic. Fresh, not greasy and delicious.
E. S.
Roasted pork served in a brown or white roll with different sauces to choose from. It is mostly to take away, very little space to sit in.
A.
One of the best places for food. Cheap and lovely food. If you're nearby I would highly recommend going here.
M. B.
They sell one thing: roast pork sandwiches. And they are amazing. Absolutely worth it.
J. C.
Nice soft buns with pulled pork!
B. S.
Very cool
C. D.
Absolutely delicious! The staff was also very nice explaining all the toppings.
M. T.
Highly recommended to grab a pork sandwich to go! Good price and fair size
J. S.
Great portion sizes, cheap and cheerful, cool staff, tastes great, quick service. What else could you ask for?
E. B.
Great place to eat. It was fast, cheap and super tasty. The staff was super friendly.
L. G.
